Bulgarian History III - Legend of Emperor Asen

Legend about the rise and rule of carь (Ivan) Asen called Staryi - the founder of the Second Kingdom (r. 1187-1196). The text is based on Paisius' accounts in Slavenobulgarian Chronicle about Asen himself (cf. Zogr. 43:28v-30v link) and St. Theophylact of Ohrid (73r).
