6: i na boga bivame ugodni ako živěeme pravedno kato svęti tě i ako xodime po božii tě zapovědi kato těxъ and we are pleasing to God, when we live rightfully like the saints, when he follow God's commandements as they (did)
7: Zaštoto tě sěkoga imali božii straxъ na uma si because they always had the fear of God on their minds
8: i xodili po negovi te zapovědi and they followed His commandements
9: Za tui i Bogъ proslavi tělo to imъ s čudesa a duša tǫ imъ sъ krasotǫ for that reason also God made their body famous with miracles, and their soul with beauty
10: Tǫi i nie koga xodime po božii tě zapovědi i živěeme čisto toga biva naše to prazdnuvanie na boga ugodno i na svęti tě priętno thus, we, too, when we follow God's commandements and live purely, then our feasts become pleasing to God and His saints
11: No trěbǫ koga prazdnuvame svęti tě da mislime či i tě sǫ bile čelověci sъ tělo kato nasъ but when we celebrate the saints we have to think, that they were humans with a body as we are
12: no živěeli čisto i pravedno sъ postъ i molitvi but they lived purely and righteously, with fasting and prayers
13: za tui sę proslavili otъ boga that is why they were glorified by God
14: I nie ne gi prazdnuvame za drugo samo da čueme i da razuměeme kakъ sǫ živěli tě i kakъ sę pokoręvali tělo to na duša ta and we do not celebrate them for anything else but to hear and understand how they lived, and how they subdued their body by their souls
15: za da živěeme i nie kato těxъ so that we can live as they did too

22: tę běše rodena otъ xristianski roditeli koito běxa čisti pravedni i ukraseni sъ mnogo dobrini she was born to (ʺfromʺ) Christian parents, who were pure, righteous and made beautiful by many virtues

26: i otidi vъ pustinę tǫ vъ gora ta gděto živěeše angelski and she went into the desert (the forest), where she lived as an angel
27: zaštoto jadęla samo travǫ i plodove koito sę namervali vъ onaę gorǫ because she ate only grass and fruits, which were in that forest
no i otъ těxъ po malko but also them only a little
28: Tamo živěęla na zimnię mrazъ i na lětnię pekъ there she lived in the wintery cold and summer heat
gděto samo boga gledala predъ kogoto prolivala sъlzi kato rěka where she looked only towards God, in front of whom she poured tears like a river
29: plačela i vъzdišala na gola tǫ zemlę she cried and moaned on a naked ground
30: trudila sę da umertvi tělo to i da prosvęt duša tǫ she worked hard to kill the body and to make her soul holy
tamo gděto nikoi ne ę gledalъ samo božie to oko koeto sičko vidi there, where nobody was looking, only the eye of God, which sees all
31: Tę za tozi světъ ne mislela she did not think about this world
32: samo za duša tǫ sę grižala dinę i noštę in day and in night, she cared only for her soul
33: i dumala and she spoke:
34: gospodi tebe sěkoga mislę ʺo Lord, I think (of) you alwaysʺ
35: i tebe želae ʺand I want youʺ
36: koga šte doda predъ tebe da sę vesele sěkoga ʺwhen will I come to you, to rejoice forever?ʺ
37: Tǫi kato sę molila na boga i živěeši čisto mnogo pǫti diavola sę prestruvaše na razni zvěrove as she prayed to God and lived purely, the Devil many times changed into various beasts
38: i tičaše vъrxu neę da ę uplaši and he ran against her to scare her
39: no tę kato sę prekrъsteše raskasvaše diavolski tě xitrosti kato paęčina but when she crossed herself, she torn up the Devil's schemes like a spider web
40: i pobědęvaše diavola kato Davidъ Golięta; and she was defeating the Devil as David (defeated) Goliath
41: zaštoto samъ bogъ živěęše vъ neę za neinǫ tǫ golěmǫ čistotǫ because God Himself lived in her, for her great purity
42: Tamo kato živęla mnogo godini dodi edna noštъ angelъ božii pri neę as she lived there for many years, one night an angel of God came to her
43: i reče and he said:
44: O děvice moma ostavi sega pustinę tǫ ʺo maiden, leave the desert nowʺ
45: i idi vъ tvoe to otečestvo ʺand go to your homelandʺ
46: zaštoto tamo trěbǫ da otdadešъ tělo to si na zemlę tǫ ʺbecause there you have to give your body to the earthʺ
a duša tǫ si na boga ʺbut your soul (you will give) to Godʺ
47: Toga světa Paraskeva kato razumě svoe to prestavlenie umiranie ako i da i běše milo za pustinę tǫ vъ koęto živěeše kato angelъ no pakъ stana as St. Parascheva understood her coming death, even if she liked the desert, where she lived as an angel, nevertheless she stood up
48: i otidi pъrvo vъ Carigradъ and she went first to Tsarigrad
49: gděto kato vlezi vъ světa Sofia i vo vlaxerna balaklii there she entered (the church of) St. Sophia and Blachernae
50: i sę pokloni and she knelt (there)
51: otъ tamo stana she stood up from there
52: i otidi vъ svoe to otečestvo vъ selo to Epivatъ gděto poživě nekolko vreme sъ postъ i molitvǫ and she went to her fatherland, the village of Epibates, where she lived for some time, fasting and praying
53: I kato razumě skoro to si prestavlenie umiranie pomoli sę bogu za svoę tǫ duša i za sičkię světъ and when she understood that she was going to die, she prayed to God for her soul and for the whole world
54: predadi blažennǫ tǫ si duša vъ božii tě rǫcě (and) she gave her blessed soul to the hands of God
55: i ę pogribaxa vъ edno prosto město and they buried her on a simple place
56: No bogъ koito iskaše da proslavi tělo to na svętaę paraskeva zaradi neini tě dobrini pokaza go slědъ mnogo godini čudesno but God, who wanted to make the body of St. Parascheva famous because of her virtues, miraculously revealed it after many years
57: Zaštoto gděto běši zaroveno tělo to na svęta paraskevǫ imaše blizo edna kula v koęto postěše někoi postnikъ for close to the place, where the body of St. Parascheva was buried, there was a tower, in which a hermit was fasting
58: I edinъ denъ kato mina edna gimia isfъrlixa otъ neę edinъ umręlъ gimiџia krai more to gděto běše kula ta and one day, as one ship passed, they threw from her a dead sailor to the sea shore, (close to the place) where was the tower
59: koito kato sěde mnogo vreme ne pogrebenъ načna da smъrdi teško as it was there laying (ʺsittingʺ) for a long time unburied, it began to stink heavily
60: I kato ne možeše večъ da tъrpi postnika zapověda na někoi čelověci da go zakopaętъ dъlboko vъ zemlę tǫ da ne smъrdi and as the hermit could not suffer it any longer, he commanded some some people to bury it deep in the ground, so that it does not stink
61: Tězi čelověci kato kopaęxa namerixa tělo to na svęta Paraskevǫ cělo i zdravo as those people dug, they found the body of St. Parascheva, whole and healthy (looking?)

69: No skoro da otidite da mi izvadite otъ tamo tělo to ʺbut go soon to take it the body out of thereʺ

70: zaštoto ne moga večъ da tъrpě onova smradno tělo ʺbecause I cannot stand that stinking body anymoreʺ
71: poneže i azъ sǫmъ čelověkъ ʺbecause I am a human tooʺ
72: i moe to selo e Epivatъ vъ koeto ti sega živěešъ ʺand my (home) village is Epibates, where do you dwell nowʺ
73: Tui sǫšto to sanuvala i edna žena one woman had the same dream too
74: i na utrinǫ tǫ kato ubadixa na xora ta i sǫ rasču toga zemaxa svěšti otidoxa sъsъ straxopočitanie and in the morning, as they told the people and it became known, they took the candles and went with awe
75: i kato izvadixa mošti to na světa Paraskevǫ zanesoxa go vъ Epivatъ and when they took out the relics of St. Parascheva, they carried them to Epibates
76: i go turixa vъ cerkovǫ tǫ and they placed them in the church
77: koeto napravi mnogo iscělenię na bolni i běsni po onaę stranǫ koito doxoždaxa sъ věrǫ what caused many healings of ill and mad in that land, (as long as they were) coming with faith
78: No podirъ mnogo vreme but after a long time,
Ioannъ kralъ bъlgarskii kato ču za tova čudotvorno mošti John, king of Bulgaria, after he heard about those miraculous relics,
provodi Marka mitropolita Preslavskago sъ mnogo svěštennici sent Mark the Metropolite of Preslav with many clerics
79: koito prinesoxa tova mošti otъ Epifatъ vъ stolnię gradъ Tъrnovъ they brought those relics from Epibates to the capital of Tarnovo
80: i go turixa vъ carskǫ tǫ cerkovǫ and they placed them in the royal church

82: A turskię carъ Selimъ vtorii kato oblada sička ta Bolgaria i ubra ukrašenie to na tъrnovski te cerkvi zema i mošti to na světa Paraskevǫ koeto zanese vъ Carigradъ but when the Turkish king Selim II, as he conquered the whole Bulgaria and robbed all the ornaments of Tarnovo churches, he took the relics of St. Parascheva as well, taking them to Tsarigrad
83: i go turi vъ svoę sarai gděto davaše mnogo iscělenię and he placed them in his palace, where it (also) gave many healings
84: za koeto načnaxa i turci te da mu sę poklanětъ thus the Turks began to venerate them too
85: Toga carъ Selimъ sę uplaši da ne sę rasčue i da ne pověrvatъ turci te then king Selim feared they will become famous and that Turks will start to believe (in Christ)
86: za tui go dadi na carigradski tě xristiani thus he gave them to the Christians of Tsarigrad
87: koito gi turixa vъ patriaršeskǫ tǫ cerkvǫ who placed them in the church of the patriarch
88: Poslě kato go pročulъ moldavskię knęzъ Ioannъ Vasilievъ poiskalъ da go prinese vъ moldavię then, after they became known to John Vasiliev, prince of Moldavia, he wanted to bring them to Moldavia

90: zaštoto kato go poiska otъ carigradskię patriarxъ Partenia toi mu go provodilъ sъ trima mitropoliti Ionikia Partenia i Ѳeofana because, when he asked the Patriarch Parthenius of Tsarigrad, he sent them to him with three metropolites: Ioannikios, Parthenius and Theofanos

93: Xristiane vidite li kakъ sǫ živěli pravedni te xora o Christians, do you see, how the righteous people lived?
94: tě ne gledali za mnogo pari i golěmǫ slavǫ they did not seek (to have) a lot of money and fame
95: no trudili sę dinę i noštę da očistętъ svoę tǫ duša but they worked in day and night to purify their soul
96: Za tui i bogъ gi proslavi na nebe to i na zemlę tǫ for that reason also God made them famous in the heavens and on the earth
da sę slavętъ i počitatъ věčno so that they are praised and respected for eternity
97: Tǫi i nie kato čuxme kakъ živěli tě trěbǫ da sę potrudime da ukrasime duša tǫ si sъ dobrini thus we, too, having heard how they lived, should work to make our soul more beautiful by virtues
98: zaštoto sinca šte umreme kakto sǫ umreli sički te predi nasъ because we all will die, as all those before us died
99: i šte davame otvětъ za sički te raboti koito napravixme vъ života si and we will be giving answer for all deeds we did in our lives
sъ prazdni xorati sъ preslušanie sъ lukavo gledanie sъ kurvarstvo i drugi zlini (what we did) with empty words, with eavesdropping, with evil looking, with adultery, and (with) other vices
100: No sega e vreme da ostavime sički te zlini but now is the time to leave all the vices behind
101: da ugodimъ na boga may we please God
102: i da stanime naslědnici na carstvo nebesnoe sъ molitvi te na dnešna tǫ božię ugodnica světaę Paraskevǫ i sъ pomoštъ tǫ Iisusъ Xristova and may we become the inheritors of the Kingdom of Heaven by the prayers of the today's saint St.Parascheva and with the help of Jesus Christ
