3:	Divenъ bogъ vo světyxъ svoixъ, bogъ izrailevъ.	You, God, are awesome in your saints; the God of Israel
4:	Blagoslovi otče!	Father, bless (us)!
5:	Blagočestivi xristïani, koga pomenuvame bažii tě čudesa i poxvalęva-me negovy te svęti, golěmǫ polzǫ prïemame	blessed Christians, we receive a great merit, when we remember God's miracles and praise His saints
6:	i na boga byvame u-godni ako živěeme pravedno kato svęti tě, i ako xodime po božii tě zapovědi kato těxъ.	and we are pleasing to God, when we live rightfully like the saints, when he follow God's commandements as they (did)
7:	Zaštoto tě sěkoga imali božiĭ straxъ na uma si,	because they always had the fear of God on their minds
8:	i xodili po negovy te zapovědi.	and they followed His commandements
9:	Za tuĭ i Bogъ proslavi tělo to imъ s čudesa, a duša tǫ imъ sъ krasotǫ.	for that reason also God made their body famous with miracles, and their soul with beauty
10:	Tǫĭ i nïe koga xodime po božii tě zapovědi i živěeme čisto, toga byva naše to prazdnuvanïe na boga ugodno i na svęti tě prïętno.	thus, we, too, when we follow God's commandements and live purely, then our feasts become pleasing to God and His saints
11:	No trěbǫ koga prazdnuvame svęti tě, da myslime, či i tě sǫ byle čelověcy sъ tělo kato nasъ,	but when we celebrate the saints we have to think, that they were humans with a body as we are
12:	no živěeli čisto i pravedno, sъ postъ i molitvy:	but they lived purely and righteously, with fasting and prayers
13:	za tuĭ sę pro-slavili otъ boga.	that is why they were glorified by God
14:	I nïe ne gi prazdnuvame za drugo, samo da čueme i da razuměeme kakъ sǫ živěli tě, i kakъ sę pokoręvali tělo to na duša ta,	and we do not celebrate them for anything else but to hear and understand how they lived, and how they subdued their body by their souls
15:	za da živěeme i nïe kato těxъ	so that we can live as they did too
16:	i da pravime onova, koeto iska duša ta i čistyę razumъ.	and that we will do that, what our soul and pure mind wants
17:	Da pobědime běsna tǫ volę na naše- to tělo, i lukavy tě xitrosti na dïavola,	may we defeat the devilish will of our body and evil schemes of the Devil
	kakto sǫ gi pobědili sič-ki te božii ugodnicy mǫžě i ženi.	as they were defeated by all those men and women, who were pleasing to God
	Kakvoto i dnešna ta prepodob-naę Paraskeva,	(such) as today's reverend Parascheva (did)
	koęto sega prazdnuvame i počitame za neĭny te do-briny, sъ koito e živěla na tozi světъ.	whom we celebrate today and respect (her) for her virtues and respect for the virtues, with which she lived in this world
18:	Za koeto i bogъ ę pro-slavi	for that (ʺwhichʺ) she was glorified
19:	i upazi neĭno to tělo tolko godiny vъ zemlę tǫ da ne izgnïe,	and her body was preserved by God for so many years in the earth from decay
20:	kakto šte čuete sega otъ neĭna ta istorïa.	as you will hear in this story
21:	Světaę Paraskeva běše otъ selo Epivatъ, vъ Sъrbïę blizo do gradъ Kalikratïa,	St. Parascheva was from the village of Epibates in Serbia, close to the city of Kalikratia
22:	tę běše rodena otъ xristïanski roditeli, koito běxa či-sti, pravedni i ukraseny sъ mnogo dobriny,	she was born to (ʺfromʺ) Christian parents, who were pure, righteous and made beautiful by many virtues
23:	i učexa svęta Paraskeva sěkoga na zakonъ božiĭ i na dobry nravy	and they taught St. Parascheva always the law of God and good habits
24:	Tě kato umręxa, světa Paraskeva načna da živěe preskorbno, i da mǫči svoe to tělo, sъ postъ, molitvy i bděnïę.	when they died, St. Parascheva began to live ascetically, torturing her body with fasting, praying and staying awake
25:	I kato sę zapali otъ ljubovь za boga, o-stavi tozi mnogomętežnyĭ (tavaturnyĭ) světъ	and as she enflamed herself by love for God, she left this troubled world
26:	i otidi vъ pusty-nę tǫ (vъ gora ta,) gděto živěeše angelski:	and she went into the desert (the forest), where she lived as an angel
27:	zaštoto jadęla samo tra-vǫ i plodove, koito sę namervali vъ onaę gorǫ,	because she ate only grass and fruits, which were in that forest
	no i otъ těxъ po malko.	but also them only a little
28:	Tamo živěęla na zimnyę mrazъ i na lětnyę pekъ,	there she lived in the wintery cold and summer heat
	gděto samo boga gledala, predъ kogoto prolivala sъlzy kato rěka,	where she looked only towards God, in front of whom she poured tears like a river
29:	plačela i vъzdyšala na gola tǫ zemlę,	she cried and moaned on a naked ground
30:	trudila sę da umertvi tělo to i da prosvęt duša tǫ,	she worked hard to kill the body and to make her soul holy
	tamo gděto nikoĭ ne ę gledalъ, samo božïe to oko koeto sičko vidi.	there, where nobody was looking, only the eye of God, which sees all
31:	Tę za tozi světъ ne myslela	she did not think about this world
32:	samo za duša tǫ sę grižala dinę i noštę	in day and in night, she cared only for her soul
33:	i dumala:	and she spoke:
34:	gospodi, tebe sěkoga myslę	ʺo Lord, I think (of) you alwaysʺ
35:	i tebe želae,	ʺand I want youʺ
36:	koga šte doda predъ tebe, da sę vesele sěkoga?	ʺwhen will I come to you, to rejoice forever?ʺ
37:	Tǫĭ kato sę molila na boga i živěeši čisto, mnogo pǫti dïavola sę prestruvaše na razny zvěrove,	as she prayed to God and lived purely, the Devil many times changed into various beasts
38:	i tičaše vъrxu neę da ę uplaši,	and he ran against her to scare her
39:	no tę kato sę prekrъsteše, raskasvaše dïavolski tě xitrosti kato pa-ęčina,	but when she crossed herself, she torn up the Devil's schemes like a spider web
40:	i pobědęvaše dïavola kato Davidъ Golïęta;	and she was defeating the Devil as David (defeated) Goliath
41:	zaštoto samъ bogъ živěęše vъ neę, za neĭnǫ tǫ golěmǫ čistotǫ.	because God Himself lived in her, for her great purity
42:	Tamo kato živęla mnogo godiny, dodi edna noštь angelъ božiĭ pri neę	as she lived there for many years, one night an angel of God came to her
43:	i reče:	and he said:
44:	O děvi-ce (moma) ostavi sega pustynę tǫ	ʺo maiden, leave the desert nowʺ
45:	i idi vъ tvoe to otečestvo:	ʺand go to your homelandʺ
46:	zaštoto tamo trěbǫ da otdadešь tělo to si na zemlę tǫ,	ʺbecause there you have to give your body to the earthʺ
	a duša tǫ si na bo-ga.	ʺbut your soul (you will give) to Godʺ
47:	Toga světa Paraskeva kato razumě svoe to prestavlenïe (umira-nïe), ako i da i běše milo za pustynę tǫ, vъ koęto živěeše kato angelъ, no pakъ stana	as St. Parascheva understood her coming death, even if she liked the desert, where she lived as an angel, nevertheless she stood up
48:	i otidi pьrvo vъ Cari-gradъ,	and she went first to Tsarigrad
49:	gděto kato vle-zi vъ světa Sofïa i vo vlaxerna (balaklii)	there she entered (the church of) St. Sophia and Blachernae
50:	i sę pokloni,	and she knelt (there)
51:	otъ tamo stana	she stood up from there
52:	i otidi vъ svoe to otečestvo vъ selo to Epivatъ, gděto poživě nekolko vreme sъ postъ i molitvǫ.	and she went to her fatherland, the village of Epibates, where she lived for some time, fasting and praying
53:	I kato razumě skoro to si pre-stavlenïe (umiranïe), pomoli sę bogu za svoę tǫ duša i za sičkïę světъ,	and when she understood that she was going to die, she prayed to God for her soul and for the whole world
54:	predadi blažennǫ tǫ si duša vъ božii tě rǫcě,	(and) she gave her blessed soul to the hands of God
55:	i ę pogribaxa vъ edno prosto město.	and they buried her on a simple place
56:	No bogъ, koĭto iskaše da proslavi tělo to na svętaę paras-keva; zaradi neĭny tě dobriny, pokaza go slědъ mnogo godiny čudes-no.	but God, who wanted to make the body of St. Parascheva famous because of her virtues, miraculously revealed it after many years
57:	Zaštoto gděto běši zaroveno tělo to na svęta paraskevǫ, ima-še blizo edna kula, v koęto postěše někoĭ postnikъ.	for close to the place, where the body of St. Parascheva was buried, there was a tower, in which a hermit was fasting
58:	I edinъ denь kato mina edna gimïa, isfъrlixa otъ neę edinъ umręlъ gimiџïa kraĭ more to gděto běše kula ta,	and one day, as one ship passed, they threw from her a dead sailor to the sea shore, (close to the place) where was the tower
59:	koĭto kato sěde mnogo vreme ne pogrebenъ, načna da smъrdi teško.	as it was there laying (ʺsittingʺ) for a long time unburied, it began to stink heavily
60:	I kato ne možeše večь da tъrpi postnika, zapověda na někoi čelověcy da go zakopaętъ dъlboko vъ zemlę tǫ da ne smъrdi.	and as the hermit could not suffer it any longer, he commanded some some people to bury it deep in the ground, so that it does not stink
61:	Tězi čelověcy kato kopaęxa, namerixa tělo to na svęta Paraskevǫ cělo i zdravo,	as those people dug, they found the body of St. Parascheva, whole and healthy (looking?)
62:	no zaštoto běxa prosti, ne go poznaxa či e světo tělo (mošti),	but, because they were simple, they did not recognize that it was a holy body
63:	no zarinaxa go pakъ vъ zemlę tǫ,	but they buried it back to the earth
64:	zarovixa ta-mo i smradno to tělo	(and) they buried the stinking body there too
65:	i si otidoxa.	and they went away
66:	Toga edinъ otъ tězi čelověcy,	then, one of those people

	vidě na sъnъ prezъ noštь tǫ ednǫ caricǫ, na světlivъ prestolъ sъ mnogo voĭ-ny,	saw in a dream in the night a queen (sitting) on a shiny throne, with many soldiers
	koęto mu reče:	who said to him:
67:	Georgïe zašto ne početoxte onova tělo, koeto e na světa Paraskevǫ?	ʺGeorgi, why did you not show respect to that body, which belongs to St. Parascheva?ʺ
68:	i zašto go pogreboxte sъsъ onova smradno tělo?	ʺand why did you bury it with that stinking body?ʺ
69:	No skoro da otidite da mi izvadite otъ tamo tělo to,	ʺbut go soon to take it the body out of thereʺ
	i da go turite na izbranno město:	ʺand to put it to a chosen placeʺ
70:	zaštoto ne moga večь da tъrpě onova smradno tě-lo,	ʺbecause I cannot stand that stinking body anymoreʺ
71:	poneže i azъ sǫmь čelověkъ	ʺbecause I am a human tooʺ
72:	i moe to selo e Epivatъ vъ koeto ty sega živěešь.	ʺand my (home) village is Epibates, where do you dwell nowʺ
73:	Tuĭ sǫšto to sanuvala i edna žena,	one woman had the same dream too
74:	i na utrinǫ tǫ ka-to ubadixa na xora ta i sǫ rasču, toga zemaxa svěšti, otidoxa sъsъ straxopočitanïe,	and in the morning, as they told the people and it became known, they took the candles and went with awe
75:	i kato izvadixa mošti to na světa Paraskevǫ, zane-soxa go vъ Epivatъ,	and when they took out the relics of St. Parascheva, they carried them to Epibates
76:	i go turixa vъ cerkovǫ tǫ,	and they placed them in the church
77:	koeto napravi mnogo iscělenïę na bolny i běsny, po onaę stranǫ koito doxoždaxa sъ věrǫ.	what caused many healings of ill and mad in that land, (as long as they were) coming with faith
78:	No podirъ mnogo vreme	but after a long time,
	Ioannъ kralь bъlgarskiĭ kato ču za tova ču-dotvorno mošti,	John, king of Bulgaria, after he heard about those miraculous relics,
	provodi Marka mitropolita Preslavskago sъ mnogo svěštennicy,	sent Mark the Metropolite of Preslav with many clerics
79:	koito prinesoxa tova mošti otъ Epifatъ, vъ stolnyę gradъ Tъrnovъ,	they brought those relics from Epibates to the capital of Tarnovo
80:	i go turixa vъ carskǫ tǫ cerkovǫ,	and they placed them in the royal church
81:	koeto davaše raz-ny iscělenïę.	where (ʺwhatʺ) it gave various healings
82:	A turskïę carь Selimъ vtoryĭ kato oblada sička ta Bolgarïa i ubra ukrašenïe to na tъrnovski te cerkvi, zema i mošti to na světa Paraskevǫ, koeto zanese vъ Cari-gradъ	but when the Turkish king Selim II, as he conquered the whole Bulgaria and robbed all the ornaments of Tarnovo churches, he took the relics of St. Parascheva as well, taking them to Tsarigrad
83:	i go turi vъ svoę saraĭ gděto davaše mnogo iscělenïę,	and he placed them in his palace, where it (also) gave many healings
84:	za koeto načnaxa i turcy te da mu sę poklanětъ.	thus the Turks began to venerate them too
85:	Toga carь Selimъ sę uplaši da ne sę rasčue, i da ne pověrvatъ turcy te,	then king Selim feared they will become famous and that Turks will start to believe (in Christ)
86:	za tuĭ go dadi na carigradski tě xristïa-ni,	thus he gave them to the Christians of Tsarigrad
87:	koito gi turixa vъ patrïaršeskǫ tǫ cerkvǫ.	who placed them in the church of the patriarch
88:	Poslě kato go pročulъ moldavskïę knęzъ Ioannъ Vasilïevъ, poiskalъ da go prinese vъ moldavïę,	then, after they became known to John Vasiliev, prince of Moldavia, he wanted to bring them to Moldavia
89:	koeto i poluči sъ božïę tǫ volę:	what he was granted with God's willing
90:	zaštoto kato go poiska otъ carigradskïę patrïarxъ Partenïa, toĭ mu go pro-vodilъ sъ trima mitropolity: Ionikïa, Partenïa i Ѳeofana,	because, when he asked the Patriarch Parthenius of Tsarigrad, he sent them to him with three metropolites: Ioannikios, Parthenius and Theofanos
91:	koito prinesoxa tuĭ světo mošti vъ moldavïa, vъ stolnyę gradъ Jašъ,	thus they brought the holy relics into Moldavia, to the capital city of Jassy
92:	i go turixa vъ cerkovǫ tǫ na tri svętiteli vъ 1641 podirъ xrista vъ 14 Oktomvrïa.	and they placed them in the Church of Three Apostles in (year) 1641 after Christ, on the 14th (day) of October
93:	Xristïane vidite li kakъ sǫ živěli pravedni te xora,	o Christians, do you see, how the righteous people lived?
94:	tě ne gledali za mnogo pary i golěmǫ slavǫ,	they did not seek (to have) a lot of money and fame
95:	no trudili sę dinę i noštę, da o-čistętъ svoę tǫ duša.	but they worked in day and night to purify their soul
96:	Za tuĭ i bogъ gi proslavi na nebe to i na ze-mlę tǫ,	for that reason also God made them famous in the heavens and on the earth
	da sę slavętъ i počitatъ věčno.	so that they are praised and respected for eternity
97:	Tǫĭ i nïe kato čuxme kakъ živěli tě, trěbǫ da sę potrudime da ukrasime duša tǫ si sъ do-briny:	thus we, too, having heard how they lived, should work to make our soul more beautiful by virtues
98:	zaštoto sinca šte umreme, kakto sǫ umreli sički te predi nasъ,	because we all will die, as all those before us died
99:	i šte davame otvětъ za sički te raboty, koito napravixme vъ živo-ta si:	and we will be giving answer for all deeds we did in our lives
	sъ prazdny xoraty, sъ preslušanïe, sъ lukavo gledanïe, sъ kur-varstvo i drugi zliny.	(what we did) with empty words, with eavesdropping, with evil looking, with adultery, and (with) other vices
100:	No sega e vreme da ostavime sički te zliny,	but now is the time to leave all the vices behind
101:	da ugodimъ na boga	may we please God
102:	i da stanime naslědnicy na carstvo nebesnoe, sъ molitvi te na dnešna tǫ božïę ugodnica světaę Paraskevǫ, i sъ pomoštь tǫ Iisusъ Xristova.	and may we become the inheritors of the Kingdom of Heaven by the prayers of the today's saint St.Parascheva and with the help of Jesus Christ
103:	Emu že slava vo věki věkovъ,	(may) the glory (be) to Him in eternity!
