1:	повѣсти о извѣстованныих вещеи. еже о кралехъ причѧ. и о̂ рождених и прѣбываних:	[Title] History of famous things, which are told about kings and their relatives and deeds
2:	Бѣше вь пръвое времѧ единъ крал иже сѧ зовѣше именемъ пришедъ краль.	In the first age there was a king, called Pedasus.
3:	и бѣше ꙃѣло богатъ.	And he was very rich.
4:	и поиде въ нѣкои днь. ловъ ловити.	And one day he went to hunt.
5:	понеже драго мꙋ бѣше ловити.	because he liked to hunt.
6:	и доиде на морскыѫ отокы.	And he came to islands of the sea.
7:	и обрѣте единъ ѿ отокъ лѣпъ. и красенъ велми,	And he found one island (to be) very beautiful,
	оу коего ѡтока ѿ Єдинѫ страны течаше, великое море.	whose one side was washed by the great sea,
8:	а ѿ дроугыѫ страны течаше рѣка, коа сѧ именоваше Кашантоуша рѣка.	and from another side a river called Xanthos flowed,
9:	а ѿ третиѧ страны течаше того отока море	and from the third side of that island there was a sea,
	кое сѧ зовѣше пелешино море.	which was called the Sea of Pallas,
10:	а ѿ четврътыѫ страны того отока стоаше лѫгъ.	and from the fourth side of the island was a marsh,
	Єже сѧ зовѣше доудома лѫгъ.	which was called Dudoma,
11:	а ѿ пѧтыѧ страны того отока. стоаше жиндолъ.	and from the fifth side of the island was a dale,
	на коемъ растѣхѫ цвѣти много различнии.	on which grew many various flowers.
12:	и видѣ то пришедъ кралъ. ꙗко добро есть	And King Pedasus saw, that it is good.
13:	и начѧ ꙃиздати град.	And he began to build a city.
14:	и съꙃизда градъ до старости своеѧ.	And he built a city before his old age.
15:	и нарече имѧ градоу томоу своимъ именемъ да мꙋ Є имѧ прижїа градъ:	And he gave his own name to the city, which was to be called Pedasus (?)
16:	по томъ прїидешъ крал. остарѣ	Then King Pedasus became old.
17:	и роди сна своего, именемъ оилꙋша кралѣ.	And he gave birth to his son, King Ilus by name.
18:	и порѫчи Ємоу ꙃиздати градъ,	And he ordered him to build a city.
19:	а самъ почи ѿ съмръти своеѧ.	And he himself died by his (natural) death.
20:	И кои крáль оилꙋша сътвори сылное дѣло,	And King Ilus did a mighty work.
21:	вѧще призизда ѡцâ своего по съмръти Єгѡ̀.	He added more (to the works of) his father after his death.
22:	и що пакы съꙃизда оилꙋша кралъ. то именова своимъ именемъ	And what King Ilus built, that he named by his own name,
	да моу бѫдетъ имѧ илѝѡнъ градъ.	that it was to be named city of Ilion.
23:	и по томъ Оилꙋшъ крáлъ рѡди сна своего ламеѡдона, кралѣ великаго	And afterwards King Ilus gave birth to his son Laomedon, a great king.
24:	и порѫчи Ємоу ꙃиздати грады.	And he ordered him to build cities.
25:	а самъ почи ѿ съмръти своеѧ.	And he himself died by his (natural) death.
26:	и ламедонъ кралъ великыи, и тои́ именова на свое имѧ грады своѫ, ламедониа градъ.	And the great king Laomedon named the cities (he built) by his name too - the city of Laomedonia.
27:	и по семъ Ламедонъ кралъ великыи остарѣ.	And afterwards the great king Laomedon became old.
28:	и роди сна своего, именемъ шарикоуша кралъ.	And he gave birth to his son, King Assaracus by name.
29:	и заповѣда Ємоу ꙃиздати грады.	And he ordered him to build cities.
30:	а самъ почи ѿ съмръти своеѧ.	And he himself died by his (natural) death.
31:	По томъ шарикоуша кралъ сътвори силно дѣло.	Afterwards King Assaracus made a mighty work.
32:	вѧще приꙃизда по съмръти о́цâ своего.	He added more (to the works of) his father after his death.
33:	и що бѣ зиздалъ своимъ именемъ да моу Є имѧ шарикоушїа град.	And what he had built by his name, may it be called (?) city of Saricusa (?)
34:	и по томъ шарикоушїа краль, рѡди сна, дарданꙋша кралѣ,	And afterwards King Assaracus gave birth to a son, King Dardanos.
35:	и рче Ємоу ꙃиждати градъ.	And he ordered him to build a city.
36:	а самъ почи ѿ съмръти своеѧ.	And he himself died by his (natural) death.
37:	и дарданоуша кралъ сътвори велико дѣло,	And King Dardanos made a great work.
38:	вѧще приꙃизда по съмръти бащинѣ си,	He built more after the death of his father (over his works).
39:	и нарче на свое имѧ дарданїа град.	And he called (it) by his name - city of Dardanus.
40:	и по томъ дарданꙋша крáлъ роди снâ, троилоушѫ кралѣ.	And then King Dardanos gave birth to a son, king Tros.
41:	и рче е̂мꙋ съꙃиздати град.	And he ordered him to build a city.
42:	а самъ почи ѿ съмрт͛и своеѧ.	And he himself died by his (natural) death.
43:	и по томъ троилоуша кралъ, сътвори велико дѣло	And then King Tros made a great work.
44:	вѧще призизда ѿ оцâ своего,	He built more (than?) his father.
45:	и нарече троꙗ̏ градъ.	And he called (it) city of Troy.
46:	троилоушь же кралъ роди прѣꙗмоуша кралѣ.	And king Troilus gave birth to Priam the king.
47:	и прѣꙗмꙋшь краль имѣше женѫ именемъ ꙗкоупа гжда.	And King Priam had a wife, Lady Hecuba by name.
48:	и въ е́динѫ нощь видѣ сънъ ꙗкоупа гжда.	And Lady Hecuba saw a dream one day.
49:	и оужасе сѧ.	And she became terrified.
50:	и въста ѿ съна своего.	And she woke up from her dream.
51:	и проꙗви сънъ мѫжоу своЄмꙋ прѣꙗмоушоу кралю.	And she explained the dream to her husband, King Priam.
52:	и рче Ємꙋ	And she said to him:
53:	родихъ главнѧ,	ʺI gave birth to a firebrand.ʺ
54:	и вьзыде на нбо.	ʺAnd it rose up to the sky.ʺ
55:	и пакы вьзвратив сѧ. паде вь море.	ʺAnd, having returned, it fell to the sea.ʺ
56:	и излетѣшѫ из морѣ искры	ʺAnd sparks flew out of the sea.ʺ
57:	и падошѫ на трои	ʺAnd they fell on Troy.ʺ
58:	и погорѣ троꙗ град.	ʺAnd the city of Troy burned down.ʺ
59:	и слышавъ то прѣꙗмоуша краль и мыслѣше що хощеть се̏ быти.	Having heard it, King Priam thought, what could this be?
60:	и призва вьсѧ пррокы и вльхвы, мѫдръцѧ и болѣры.	And he summoned all the prophets and magicians, sages and boyars,
	и нижнѧѧ люд. малы и великы троады града.	and the lesser folk, small and great, of the city of Troy (Troas),
	да рекѫтъ емоу о сънѣ.	to tell him about the dream.
61:	и рекошѫ Ємоу пророци его. си́е	And his prophets told him this:
62:	гдне кралю родит сѧ ѿ жены твоеѧ снъ.	ʺO lord king, your wife shall give birth to a son,ʺ
	за коего хощет изгорѣти троа градъ	ʺbecause of whom the city of Troy shall burn.ʺ
63:	и разоритъ сѧ.	ʺAnd it shall be destroyed.ʺ
64:	и не останеть камень на камени.	ʺAnd a stone shall not remain on stone (intact).ʺ
65:	слышавъ то̏ прѣꙗмоуша кралъ и иде въ полатѫ	Having thus heard, King Priam went to his palace.
66:	и рче женѣ своеи,	And he said to his wife:
67:	ѡ ꙗкоупо гжде. егда родиши сна, не храни его:	ʺO Lady Hecuba, when you give birth to a son, do not feed him!ʺ
68:	нѫ повели да оубиѫтъ Єго.	ʺInstead, give a command to kill him!ʺ
69:	и рче Ємоу ꙗкоупа гжда.	And Lady Hecuba said to him:
70:	гдне кралю велми рада е̂смъ семоу быти.	ʺO Lord King, I would be very glad for this to beʺ (?)
71:	и по томъ Єгда роди ꙗкоупа гжда сна своего.	And then, when Lady Hecuba gave birth to her son,
	и видѣ его лѣпа и красна велми,	she saw him to be very beautiful.
72:	и съмили сѧ мтри своеи,	And his mother was overcome by mercy.
73:	и не може Єго погꙋбитъ.	And she was not able to kill him.
74:	нѫ пови его вь брачини.	But she wrapped him into diapers.
75:	и с нимъ много добытка сребра и злата.	And with him (she wrapped?) a lot of cattle, silver and gold.
76:	и дас Єго Єдиномоу юноши.	And she gave him to one youth.
77:	и рече Ємоу нести и поврѣщи Єго далече ѿ троѫ града.	And she told him to take and leave him far away from the city of Troy.
78:	и створи отрокъ тако.	And the boy did so.
79:	и обрѣте Єго ѡвчарь старъ, емоуже бѣ жена родила сна.	And an old shepherd found him, whose wife had given birth to a son.
80:	и несе его пастыръ женѣ своеи.	And the shepherd brought him to his wife.
81:	и рче еи.	And he said to her:
82:	вьсхрани ми отрока сего.	ʺRaise this boy for me!ʺ
83:	и быс тако.	And thus it was.
84:	и растѣше тако скоро велми.	And it grew thus very quickly.
85:	и егда сътвори ·з· лѣт. тогда идѣхѫ отрочѧти обѣ на поле съ ѡце̂мъ своимъ	And when (the boy) was (ʺmadeʺ) 6 years, both children went to the field with their father.
86:	и играахѫ около добытка.	And they played around the cattle.
87:	и ѡбрѣтенаго отрока нарче парижь, пастыревичищь.	And (the shepherd) called the found boy Paris son of Shepherd.
88:	парижь сваждааше два волы.	Paris was bringing two oxen against each other.
89:	и бодѣхѫ сѧ.	And (the oxen) were piercing each other.
90:	и кои прѣмагааше, томоу виаше вѣнецъ ѿ цвѣтїа.	And to the one, who was winning, he wove a wreath of flowers.
91:	а кои не прѣмагааше томоу виаше ѿ сламы.	And to the one, who was not winning, he wove (a wreath) of hay.
92:	и полагааше имъ на рогоу.	And he was putting (the wreaths) on their horns.
93:	и егда бѣше юноша париж, хождааше съ добрыми витезы	And when Paris was a young man, he followed good knights.
94:	и играаше,	And he played (with them).
95:	и прѣмагааше их вь сѣкои игрѣ́.	And he was defeating them in every game.
96:	и тоу прободе Єдиного витꙃа за щитъ прѣд кралемъ, апридежемъ.	And here he pierced the shield of one knight in front of King Phrixus.
97:	и в то врѣмѧ женѣше сѧ фелешь краль гждѫ им тишомъ.	And at that time King Peleus was marrying Lady Thetis.
98:	и призва кь себѣ фелешь краль. где чюаше добрыѫ витезы, и юнакы. и парижа пастыревичища и добрыѫ гждѫ по хорѣ тои.	And King Peleus invited to him good knights and heroes, wherever he heard (that there were some) in that land, and Paris of the Shepherd too, and also fair ladies.
99:	и ꙋвѣдѣвше то три вилы пророчицѫ. коѫ бѣхѫ наи лѣпѣшѫѧ вь морскыихъ отоцѣхъ. и доидошѫ на оно веселие.	And having heard about that, three fairies-prophetesses, who were the most beautiful in the islands of the sea, came to that feast too.
100:	развѣ Єдинѫ гждѫ не зва.	He did not invite only (ʺexcludingʺ) one lady.
101:	зане бѣше свадлива,	Because she was quarrelsome.
102:	именемъ диевошь.коридиа	(She was called) Discordia by name.
103:	где идѣше все свадѫ строаше.	Wherever she went, she caused quarrels.
104:	зато не хотѣхѫ ѧ звати.	Thus they did not want to invite her,
	да моу не бѫдетъ свады междоу сватовы и болѣры на весели и́хъ.	in order to have no quarrels between the wedding guests and boyars on the feast.
105:	и ѡна гжда мышлѣаше на срдци своемь. коѫ би могла свадѫ вьнести тамо за онози незвание.	And that lady thought in her heart, what kind of strife could she bring in for that not being invited.
106:	и искова златѫ аблъкѫ	And she forged a golden apple.
107:	и написа на неи книжна писма.	And she wrote on it letters.
108:	и она̏ слова глахѫ	And those words said:
109:	коꙗ̏ Єсть ѿ васъ триехъ гждь и пррочицъ по лѣпшаа.	ʺThe one of you, three ladies and prophetesses, who is more beautiful,ʺ
	тои бѫди пррочици сиа златаа ч̶а̶ш̶а̶ аблъка.	ʺmay this golden apple be for her!ʺ
110:	и даде ѧ отрокоу своЄмоу.	And she gave it to her child.
111:	и рече Ємоу	And she said to him:
112:	иди	ʺGo!ʺ
113:	и вьвръꙃи ѧ вь овощници, фелеша кралѣ.	ʺAnd throw it into the fruit garden of King Peleus!ʺ
114:	и вьземѣхѫ оуброусы ѿ стола.	And they took covers from the table (?)
115:	и идѣхѫ добрїи витезие	And the good knights went.
116:	играахѫ на фарижохъ.	They played on horses.
117:	а добръıѫ гждѫ грѧдѣхѫ вь овощникь, пелефа кралѣ.	And fair ladies walked into the fruit garden of King Peleus.
118:	и грѧдѣхѫ напрѣждь три вилы и пррочцѧ.	And the three fairies and prophetesses walked in front.
119:	и обрѣтошѫ онѫ златѫѧ аблъкѫ.	And they found that golden apple.
120:	и прочьтошѫ на неи она словеса,	And they read the words written on them,
	иже глахѫ	which were telling:
121:	коа Єсть наи лѣпа ѿ васъ трих сестрѣницъ	ʺThe one of you three cousins, which is most beautiful,ʺ
	тои бѫди сиа златаа аблъка.	ʺmay she receives this golden apple!ʺ
122:	и раскарашѫ сѧ ѡноѧ ради аблъкы.	And they started to quarrel about the apple.
123:	и позвахѫ сѧ въ троѫ прѣдъ тебоха бога. и прѣдъ ипитера пррока.	And they summoned each other to Troy in front of God Phoibos and Prophet Jupiter.
124:	и сташѫ прѣд нима.	And they stood in front of them.
125:	и вьпросишѫ ихъ	And they asked them.
126:	и рекошѫ,	And they said:
127:	ко́а есть ѿ нас наи лѣпа.	ʺWhich one of us is most beautiful,ʺ
	тои даите сиѫ аблъкѫ.	ʺto her give this apple!ʺ
128:	и рече имъ тебохъ богъ. и ипитеръ пррокъ.	And God Phoibos and Prophet Jupiter said to them:
129:	гждѧ. не можемь вамъ ѡ семъ сѫдитъ.	ʺLadies, we cannot judge this for you.ʺ
130:	нѫ поидѣте тамо на опѧть. прѣд парижа пастыревичища	ʺBut go there back (to the court of Peleus) to Paris of the Shepherd!ʺ
131:	тамо сѧ е обрѣло	ʺThere it was found.ʺ
132:	и тамо да сѧ и расѫдитъ.	ʺAnd may it be judged there.ʺ
133:	и възвратишѫ сѧ ѿ троѧ.	And they returned from Troy.
134:	и доидошѫ прѣдъ парижа, пастыревичища.	And they came to Paris of the Shepherd.
135:	и рекошѫ Ємоу	And they said to him:
136:	гдне обрѣтохмы сиѫ златѫѧ аблъкѫ. въ ѡвощници пелеша кралѣ.	ʺO lord, we have found this golden apple in the fruit garden of king Peleus.ʺ
137:	и прочьтохмы на неи книжниих словесъ.	ʺAnd we have read some words on it.ʺ
138:	и сико сказоуЄтъ,	ʺAnd thus they say:ʺ
139:	коа Єсть ѿ вас лѣпшаа,	ʺWhich one of us is most beautiful,ʺ
	тои бѫди сиа златаа аблъка.	ʺto her may this apple be (given).ʺ
140:	да повѣждъ нам коꙗ̏ е́сть ѿ нас наи лѣпшаа.	ʺSo tell us, which of us is the most beautiful one!ʺ
141:	тои пррочци даждь сиѫ аблъкѫ златѫѧ.	ʺGive this golden apple to that one!ʺ
142:	и рче имъ парижь пастыревичищь.	And Paris of Shepherd said to them:
143:	поидѣте гждѧ	ʺCome, ladies!ʺ
144:	и съвлѣцѣте сѧ.	ʺAnd put off your clothes!ʺ
145:	зане бѣше на них бисерие и злато и драгое камение и свилна роуха.	Because there was a lot of pearls and gold and precious stones and silken robes on them.
146:	и поидошѫ вь овощникъ пелеша кралѣ	And they went into the fruit garden of King Peleus.
147:	и съвлѣкше сѧ придошѫ в ризах прѣд него.	And having put off their clothes, they stepped to him in shirts.
148:	и начѧть юнаа говорити парижоу	And Juno started to speak to Paris:
149:	присѫди мнѣ сиѫ златѫѧ аблъкѫ.	ʺGrant the golden apple to me!ʺ
150:	и повѣждь мене наи лѣпшѫ,	ʺAnd declare me the most beautiful one!ʺ
151:	и областна Єсмъ богатьствомъ.	ʺAnd (for?) I have power over wealth.ʺ
152:	да не бѫдет члкъ по богать ѿ тебе.	ʺMay there is no richer man than you!ʺ
153:	и пакы втора велѣше гжда Єиже имѧ палешь.	Then a second lady spoke, whose name was Pallas.
154:	рче парижоу	She said to Paris:
155:	присѫди мнѣ сиѫ златѫѧ аблъкѫ,	ʺGrant this golden apple to me!ʺ
156:	и повѣждь мене по лѣпшѫѧ.	ʺAnd declare me the more beautiful one!ʺ
157:	и областна Єсмъ витжьствомь	ʺAnd I have power over knighthood.ʺ
158:	да не бѫдет храбрѣиша витеꙃа ѿ тебе.	ʺMay there is no braver knight than you!ʺ
159:	и пакы третїа рче Єиже имѧ веноуша гжда. парижоу пастыревичю.	And then the third one, whose name was Lady Venus, said to Paris of the Shepherd:
160:	пррисѫди сиѫ златѫѧ аблъкѫ.	ʺGrant the golden apple (to me)!ʺ
161:	и повѣждь мене наи лѣпшѫѧ,	ʺAnd declare me the most beautiful one!ʺ
162:	областна бо Єсмь любовиѫ	ʺBecause I have power over love.ʺ
163:	да ти дамъ добрѫѧ любовъ. да тѧ любовиѧ имѧть добрыѫ гжѧ.	ʺMay I give you good love, so that you will be loved by fair ladies.ʺ
164:	и да ти дамъ дабрѫѧ гждѫ Єленѫ црцѫ гръчскѫѧ менелаоуша црѣ женѫ.	ʺAnd I will give you the fair Lady Helen, Queen of Greece, wife of King Menelaus,ʺ
	коа Є наи лѣпѣиша вь всѣх гръцѣхъ. какото ѫ си и пръвое чюлъ,	ʺwho is the most beautiful in all Greece, as you have heard earlier.ʺ
165:	и да ти дамъ ново имѧ	ʺAnd may I give you a new name:ʺ
166:	да ти бѫдетъ имѧ алеѯандръ фарижь.	ʺMay your name be Paris Alexander.ʺ
167:	и да ти повѣмъ о́цâ и матере.	ʺAnd may I tell you of (your) father and mother.ʺ
168:	ѿцъ ти есть прѣамоушь краль,	ʺYour father is King Priam.ʺ
169:	и мти ꙗкоупа гжда, троа града.	ʺAnd Lady Hecuba of the city of Troy (is your) mother.ʺ
170:	а н ѣси ты̏ оногози старца снъ.	ʺSo you are not a son of that old man.ʺ
171:	и слышавъ то фарижь пастыревичищь. и присѫди венꙋши гжди златѫѧ аблъкѫ.	Having heard that, Paris of the Shepherd granted the golden apple to Venus.
172:	и вьзвесили сѧ велми вьсѣмъ срдцемь своимъ.	And he became very happy in his heart.
173:	и како чю и исправи ѿ Веноушѫ гждѫ кралевъ снъ.	And as he heard from Lady Venus, he was a royal son.
174:	и поиде	And he went.
175:	и вьзѧ прощенїе ѿ старца ѡцâ своего които моу сѧ ѿцъ бѣ нарекль.	And he took excuse from the old man, his (step-)father, who had called himself his father.
176:	и поиде въ троѫ граддъ.	And he went to the city of Troy.
177:	и приближи сѧ под троѫ на рѣкѫ. нарицаемѫѧ кашантоуша	And he came to Troy, to the river called Xanthos.
178:	и тоу ѡбрѣте венеоушь гждѫ на неи.	And he found here Lady Venus (Oenone) here.
179:	и пришедь рче кь неи,	And having come (here), he said to her:
180:	гжде венеꙋшь, люби мѧ да тѧ любѧ.	ʺO lady Venus (Oenone), love me, so that I love you!ʺ
181:	и ѿвѣща Ємоу оинешь.	And Oenone answered him:
182:	ѡ Алеѯандре фарижю нинѣ мѧ любишь.	ʺO Alexander Paris, now you love me.ʺ
183:	нѫ прїидеть врѣмѧ	ʺBut a time will come.ʺ
184:	и оставиши мѧ.	ʺAnd you will forsake me.ʺ
185:	и рче еи Алеѯандръ	And Alexander said to her:
186:	ѡ гжде оинеꙋше не хощѫ азъ тебе ѡставити,	ʺO Lady Oenone, I will not forsake you!ʺ
187:	егы ли тѧ ѡставѧ, тогы сиази рѣка вашантꙋша вьспѧтъ да потечетъ.	ʺIf I would forsake you, then may this river Xanthos flows backwards!ʺ
188:	и постави с неѧ прьвое любве.	And he made (ʺplacedʺ) first love with her.
189:	и вьзѧ ѿ неѫ вѣнецъ	And he took a wreath from her.
190:	и поиде вь тро́ѫ,	And he went to Troy.
191:	и изыдошѫ противѫ Ємоу троистии витези.	And Trojan knights went out towards him,
	и троискыѫ гждѫ. и самъ прѣꙗмоуша краль и ꙗкоупа гжда троискаа	and Trojan ladies, and King Priam himself, and Hecuba, Lady of Troy.
192:	и приѫста го	And they accepted him.
193:	и вьведоста вь полатѫ	And they brought (him) into the palace.
194:	и веселѣхѫ сѧ вьсѣмь срдцемь ѡ немь.	And they were happy about him with all heart.
195:	призва же прѣꙗмоушь кралъ всѧ пррокы и врачевы и властелѧ и нижнѧѧ люди троискыѫ	And King Priam invited all the prophets and healers and powerful men and lesser folk of Troy.
196:	и рече.	And he said:
197:	кто ми хощетъ помагати вь троискомь дѣлѣ,	ʺHe, who will help me in the works of Troy,ʺ
	азъ дамъ емоу три долы злата.	ʺI shall give him three mines of gold.ʺ
198:	и слышаста то̏ два диавола земнаа	And two chthonic devils heard it.
199:	и придоста прѣд кралѣ	And they came to the king.
200:	и рекоста Ємоу	And they said to him:
201:	мы хощевѣ створити троѫ. да нама даси	ʺWe will build (further works of) Troy, so that you give us (the mines)!ʺ
202:	и наю знаи.	ʺAnd know us!ʺ
203:	и начѧста ꙃиздати троѫ.	And they began to build up Troy.
204:	и тебоушь бѣ гѫслъникъ	And God Phoibos was a citharist.
205:	и гѫдѣше въ гѫсли	And he played the cithara.
206:	и ꙃиздаше сѧ троа кѫдоу они речахѫ.	And Troy was building up wherever they said.
207:	а Нептенабоушь именемъ идѣше вь море	And (a god) Neptune by name went to the sea.
208:	и́ носѣше из морѣ варъ, и камение пригонѧ и водѫ.	And he was bringing chalk and stones from the sea, pouring the water in too.
209:	и ꙃиздаахѫ троѫ. кѫдоу ѡни речахѫ.	And they build Troy, where they said.
210:	и егы съвръшїста вьсе дѣло троиское. и придоста прѣд͛ прѣамоуша кралѣ.	And when they finished their works of Troy, they came to the King Priam.
211:	и рекоста Ємоу.	And they said:
212:	даждь нама наю ѿвѣтъ Єже на си реклъ.	ʺGive us our due, as you have said!ʺ
213:	и слышавъ то̏ крал. и показа имъ три̏ шѫпы рѫкоѫ.	Having heard this, the king showed them three handfuls by hand.
214:	и рче и́мъ	And he said to them:
215:	дá вы сиѫ долы насыпѧ до краа	ʺMay I fill these mines up to the end.ʺ
216:	сиѫ бо вы ѡбѣщахъ.	ʺBecause thus I have promised you.ʺ
217:	и видѣста ѡна ꙗко ихъ прѣвари.	And they saw, that he tricked them.
218:	и разгнѣваста сѧ,	And they became angry.
219:	и рекоста Ємꙋ.	And they said:
220:	мы есвѣ створила троѫ град.	ʺWe have built the city of Troy,ʺ
221:	мы хощевѣ и оумыслити како го и расыпати.	ʺAnd we will now think of a way, how to destroy it.ʺ
222:	и поидоста ѡнѣмзи пррочицамъ. коѫ сѧ разъгнѣвахѫ за ѡнѫзи аблъкѫ.	And they went (to) those prophetesses, who were angry because of the apple.
223:	и начѧшѫ. прорицати о злѣмъ дѣлѣ троѫ града.	And they started to create prophecies about evils, which would afflict the city of Troy,
	како би Троа не стоалъ до врѣмене	so that Troy would not remain to stay for ages,
	нѫ да сѧ бї разорилъ, вь прѣꙗмошево врѣмѧ.	but so that is destroyed in the Priam's (life-)time.
224:	и по сих идѣше кащранда гжда на рекѫ. шимоишеви,	And after this Lady Cassandra went to the river of Simoeis.
225:	и тоу приближи сѧ къ неи ипитерь пррокъ,	And Prophet Jupiter came closer to her.
226:	и рче Єи.	And he said to her:
227:	кащрандро гжде приди къ мнѣ, да ти повѣмъ вьсѧ таины троискыѫ. що хощет быти.	ʺO Lady Cassandra, come to me, so that I tell you all the secrets of Troy, what is to come!ʺ
228:	нѫ сѧ не похвали троискамъ гждамь. како си бесѣдовала съ ипитеромь прркомь.	ʺBut do not appraise yourself to the ladies of Troy, that you spoke with the Prophet Jupiter.ʺ
229:	аще ли сѧ похвалишь, да хощѫ тѧ сътворитъ да тѧ не вѣроуѫть.	ʺIf you appraise yourself (with it), I will make it so, that they will not believe you.ʺ
230:	и она̏ прїиде троискы̏мъ гждамъ.	And she went (to) Trojan ladies.
231:	и начѧ пррочьствовати и глати.	And she began to prophesize and to speak:
232:	хощетъ поити мои братъ алеѯандръ фарижь въ гръкы на слоужбѫ. къ менелаоушоу црю.	ʺMy brother Alexander Paris will go to Greece to serve King Menelaus.ʺ
233:	и хощеть ѿ онѫдоу довести Єленѫ црцѫ гръчьскѫѧ гждѫ менелаоуша црѣ женѫ.	ʺAnd he will bring from there Queen Helen, Lady of Greece, the wife of King Menelaus,ʺ
	коа е наи лѣпа вь всѣх гръцѣх.	ʺwho is the most beautiful in all Greece.ʺ
234:	и хощет Єѧ ради погорѣти троа градъ.	ʺAnd because of her, the city of Troy shall burn.ʺ
235:	и ѡна се̏ говорѣше	And she was talking this.
236:	а они еи не вѣроуахѫ.	But they did not believe her.
237:	и просѣше сѧ алеѯандръ парижь оу ѡцâ своего прѣꙗмоуша кралѣ, на вьсѣкъ днь глщи,	And Alexander Paris begged his father King Priam every day, saying:
238:	поусти мене вь гръкы, на слоужбѫ къ менелаоушоу црю.	ʺLet me go to Greece, to serve King Menelaus!ʺ
239:	и пакы хощѫ ѿ онѫдоу скоро прїити.	ʺAnd I will soon come back from there.ʺ
240:	а прѣамоушь крал не хотѣше Єго поустити.	But King Priam did not want to let him.
241:	и не може Єго ꙋдръжати.	And he could not control him.
242:	нѫ поусти Єго вь гръкы на дворбѫ слоужити менелаоушоу црю.	But he let him to Greece, to serve at the court of King Menelaus.
243:	и направи Алеѯандръ фариж. корабь свои,	And Alexander Paris prepared his ship.
244:	и вьземъ многочестнаа роуха. и злата. и бесериЄ и и́на многа различна дарованїа.	And having taken precious robes and gold and pearls and various other gifts,
	и вьниде самь вь корабль съ отрокы своими,	he entered the ship himself with his servants.
245:	и ѿринѫ сѧ вь море	And he launched into the sea.
246:	и отиде вь гръкы	And he went to Greece.
247:	и приста под дворъ менелаоушевъ.	And he landed beneath the court of Menelaus.
248:	и оувѣдѣвъ то̏ менелае црь. и изыде противѫ емꙋ далече.	And having seeing it, King Menelaus went out to meet him from afar.
249:	и цѣлова его.	And he kissed him.
250:	и рче Ємоу алеѯандръ фариж.	And Alexander Paris said to him:
251:	ѡ гдне црю. да ꙋвѣс црство ти. азь не прїидох слоужити тебѣ злата ради или сребра. ни на иномъ добытцѣ.	ʺO lord king, may your kingdom knows, that I did not come to serve you for gold or silver or other cattle/wealth,ʺ
	нѫ да видѧ коа ѥс чьсть на твоемъ дворѣ, или коа доволна чьсти двора црства ти̏.	ʺbut to see what honor is at your court, or what is worthy of respect of the court of your kingdom.ʺ
252:	и слышавъ то̏ менелае црь. и обвесели сѧ срдце́мь.	And having heard it, King Menelaus became happy in his heart.
253:	и поѫтъ его вьведе вь полатѫ црскѫѧ къ Єленѣ црци.	And having taken him, he brought him to the royal palace to Queen Helen.
254:	и сѣдше на е̂динои трапезѣ, и пиахѫ чръвлена вина триглѣна изь е̂динѫ чашѫ менелаоушь црь и áлеѯандръ фарижь. и елена црца.	And, seated at one table, they drank triple (?) wines from one cup - King Menelaus and Alexander Paris and Queen Helen.
255:	и по томь Єгда приемахѫ оуброусъ и омывалницѫ ѿ стола.	And afterwards, when they took napkins and washing bowls from the table,
	тогда написовааше алеѯандръ фарижь чръвенѣм виномь на бѣломъ оуброусѣ.	Alexander Paris then was writing with the red wine on a white napkin.
256:	и тако говорѣше	And thus she was saying:
257:	Єлено црце люби мѧ да тѧ любѧ.	ʺO Queen Helen, love me, so that I love you!ʺ
258:	и елина црѣца оумѣаше книгѫ.	And Queen Helen was literate (ʺknew literature/bookʺ).
259:	а менелае не познавааше ни слова.	But Menelaus was not recognizing a single word.
260:	и поусти менелае црь. братоу своемоу агаменоу црю.	And King Menelaus sent (a message) to his brother, King Agamemnon.
261:	и рче Ємꙋ	And he said to him:
262:	оувѣждь брате мои како ми ѥс бъ пособилъ.	ʺSee, my brother, how God helped me.ʺ
263:	и хотѧтъ моа дроужина мнѣ слоужити.	ʺAnd my retinue wants to serve me.ʺ
264:	и бѫди о семь веселъ.	ʺAnd rejoice because of it!ʺ
265:	и слышавь се̏ агаменъ црь, и озлоби сѧ срдцемь.	And having heard this, King Agamemnon became angry in his heart.
266:	и рче.	And he said:
267:	азъ о семъ веселъ Єсмъ, ꙗко е́свѣ самодръжца.	ʺI am happy because of that we are sovereigns.ʺ
268:	а о сѐмъ н ѣсмъ весель. Єже наю дроужина слоужити намь.	ʺBut I am not happy about the retinue serving us.ʺ
269:	да блюди сѧ того. да не приидет чюждее добро и вьзметь нашѫ чьсть	ʺSo be careful of it, so that not foreign good ones and takes our honor.ʺ
270:	и бѫдет томоу велика чсть.	ʺAnd his will be a great honor.ʺ
271:	а нама велика срамота.	ʺAnd ours (will be) a great shame.ʺ
272:	и поусти братоу своемоу.	And he sent (the message) to his brother.
273:	слышавъ се̏ менелае црь. и озлоби сѧ срдцемъ.	Having heard this, King Menelaus became angry in his heart.
274:	и рче.	And he said:
275:	како н ѣс драга моа чьсть братоу моемоу.	ʺHow come that my honor is not precious to my brother?!ʺ
276:	и на всѣкь днь писааше алеѯандръ чръвенѣмь виномъ на бѣлом оуброусѣ.	And Alexander was writing every day with the red wine on a white napkin.
277:	а Єлена црца мльчаше.	But Queen Helen was silent.
278:	и вь Єдинь днъ призва Єлена црца алеѯáндра въ полатѫ	And one day Queen Helen summoned Alexander into the palace.
279:	и рче Ємоу, тихыми бесѣдами,	And she said to him with a low voice:
280:	ѡ алеѯандре фарижоу. о́стави дръзость своѫ ѿ мене.	ʺO Alexander Paris, leave your daring from me!ʺ
281:	аще бо оувѣсть гнь мои менелае цръ. то̏ хощет тѧ оуморити злѣ.	ʺIf my lord, King Menelaus, found out, he would kill you badly.ʺ
282:	и рче Єи алеѯандръ.	And Alexander said to her:
283:	ѡ гжде моа Єле́но. да вѣси о моеи слоужбѣ н ѣс и́нъ оброкъ	ʺO Helen, my lady, know that my service has no other pay,ʺ
	нѫ ми е̂си ты̀ оброкъ.	ʺbut you are my pay.ʺ
284:	Азъ н ѣсмь пришелъ да слоужѫ на златѣ или бисрѣ.	ʺI did not come to serve you for gold or pearls.ʺ
285:	зане троискаа полата едина вѧще и́мать злата и́ сребра, нежели гръчьскаа дръжава.	ʺBecause the palace of Troy has more gold and silver than the land of Greece.ʺ
286:	и Єгы би видѣла троискыѧ витезы не би рекла витези сѫтъ, нѫ гдни и властеле.	ʺAnd if you saw Trojan knights, you would not say they are knights, but lords and rulers.ʺ
287:	да гжде моа Єлено. готовъ Єсмъ приѫти мѫкы. нежели длъго мѫчимъ бѫдѫ по твоеи лѣпотѣ.	ʺO Helen, my lady, I am ready to accept torment, rather than be tormented for long by your beauty.ʺ
288:	и рче Ємꙋ Єлена црца.	And Queen Helen said to him:
289:	ѡ алеѯандре, не оставлѣмъ тебе вь кривинѣ,	ʺO Alexander, I will not leave you in injustice!ʺ
290:	нѫ ѥс пдобно рещи таковомоу витезоу. кои видитъ селикѫ лѣпотѫ. и любитъ.	ʺBut it is appropriate to tell (the truth to?) such a knight, who sees such beauty and falls in love.ʺ
291:	въ днъ тъи приде глас менЄлаоушоу црю. ꙗко ѿвръже сѧ роусагъ каакиискыи.	This day came a word (ʺvoiceʺ) to King Menelaus, that the land of Achaea turned away.
292:	и рче менелае црѣ. по гръцѣх силнѫ воискѫ събрати. и поити на палагїискыѫ роусагы.	And King Menelaus orderred over whole Greece to collect a strong army and go against Pelasgian lands.
293:	и ꙋвѣдѣ то̏ алеѯандръ фарижь,	And Alexander Paris learned about it.
294:	и створи сѧ боленъ.	And he made himself (seem) ill.
295:	и леже въ црскои полатѣ.	And he laid in the royal palace.
296:	и та̏ полата бѣше опѧта роухомъ свилным и златом и бисром.	And that palace was covered (?) in silken robes and gold and pearls.
297:	и рче Ємꙋ менелае поити съ ним на воискѫ.	And Menelaus told him to go with him to war.
298:	и рече Ємоу алеѯандръ.	And Alexander said to him:
299:	ѡ гне црю. не мощень Єсмъ до ꙃѣла.	ʺO lord king, I am very sick.ʺ
300:	да аще станѫ радъ Єсмъ послѣдовати црствоу ти.	ʺBut if I stand up, I would gladly follow your majesty.ʺ
301:	и по сихь отиде менелае црь на воискѫ.	And afterwards King Menelaus went to war.
302:	и вь нѣкыи днь, поведе Єлена црца двцѧ хоро играти, и съ гръчьскыми гждами по градоу.	And one day Queen Helen took the girls to play a circle dance with Greek ladies around the city.
303:	видѣвъ то̏ алеѯандръ фарижъ. и рче своимъ отрокамъ:	Having seen it, Alexander Paris told his boys:
304:	привезѣте ми бръзѫѧ катръгѫ.	ʺBring me a fast boat!ʺ
305:	и да видѧ знамение мое Єгы привезете.	ʺAnd may I see my sign, when you bring it.ʺ
306:	и примькошѫ егови юнаци бръзыи корабъ Єговъ.	And his boys brought his fast ship.
307:	и двигнѫшѫ златыи хилемъ Єго на копи.	And they raised his golden helm on a spear.
308:	и видѣвъ алеѯандръ, и възѧтъ Єленѫ црцѫ под пазꙋхѫ своѫ.	And having seen it, Alexander took Queen Helen under his arms.
309:	и влѣзь с неѧ вь бръзы корабь свои съ отрокы своими	And he entered with her his fast ship with his boys.
310:	и ѿринѫ сѧ на море.	And he launched into the sea.
311:	и доплоу под троѫ градъ.	And he sailed beneath the city of Troy.
312:	и приста на шимошевѣ брѣзѣ.	And he landed on the shore of Simoeis.
313:	и оувѣдѣвше троистїи витези и троискыѧ гждѧ. и не хотѣхѫ изыти противѫ Ємоу	And having learned about it, Trojan knights and ladies did not want to go out to meet them,
	ни̏ Єдинъ витезъ. ни Єдинъ ѿ отрокъ.	not a single knight, nor any of boys.
314:	зане вѣдѣхѫ. колика сѧ ще кръвъ пролиати под троѫ за е̂ленѫ црцѫ.	Because they knew how much blood will be spilled under Troy for Queen Helen.
315:	и изыде противѫ Ємоу ѡцъ Є̂го прѣꙗмоушь кралъ и мти е̂гова ꙗкоупа гжда.	And his father King Priam and his mother Lady Hecuba went out towards him.
316:	и ѫтъ прѣамоушь алеѯандра за рѫкѫ А ꙗкоупа гжда Єле́нѫ црцѫ. и вьведошѫ ѧ въ полатѫ своѫ.	And Priam, having taken Alexander by hand, and Lady Hecuba, (having taken) Queen Helen, led them into their palace.
317:	и слышавъ меналаоушь црь. ꙗко вьзѧ алеѯандръ фарижь Єленѫ црцѫ. и ѿри́нѫ сѧ вь море. и отиде под троѫ.	And King Menelaus, having heard that Alexander Paris took Queen Helen, and launched into the sea, and went to Troy,
	и озлоби сѧ срдцемъ велми.	and he became very angry in his heart.
318:	и вьзврати сѧ въ каакїискыѫ дръжавы.	And he returned to the Achaean lands.
319:	и ꙋвѣдѣвъ сиа̏ брат Єго Агамено црь.	And having learned this his brohter King Agamemnon,
	и събрав сѧ скоро приде къ менелаоушоу црю.	and having prepared himself, he went soon to King Menelaus.
320:	и жаловаста велми глще,	And they lamented a lot, speaking:

322:	и събравша силнѫ во́искѫ поити подъ троѫ.	And they collected a strong army to move beneath Troy.
323:	и приде напрѣд аꙗкшь шоломоничевъ съıнъ съ ·л· катръгы на помощь менеоушоу црю, безъ заповѣди.	And Ajax son of Telamon with 30 boats came forward to help King Menelaus without (his) command.
324:	и по томь прїиде, паламидешь. придичевъ снъ. съ ·л· корабли без заповѣди.	And afterwards came Palamedes, son of Pridič (?), (coming) with 30 ships without having been commanded to.
325:	и по сих бѣше Єдин члкъ мѫдръ, оурекшешь именемъ лартѣшевичь снъ.	And after this, there was a wise man called Ulysses, son of Laertius.
326:	и оувѣдѣ то̏	And he found out,
327:	и створи сѧ бѣсенъ.	he made himself (seem) mad.
328:	и начѧ пѣськъ орати, а соль сѣати. да сѧ толико не причѧстить троискои кръви.	And he began to plough sand and sow salt, so that he does not take part on Trojan blood.
329:	и бѣше дроугыи члкъ мѫдръ. именемъ паламедежно, прїидичевъ снъ.	And there was another wise man called Palamedes, son of Pridič,
	иже пристѫпивъ рче црема	who, having come to the kings, said:
330:	вь и́стинѫ Є оурекшишь мѫдръ члкъ.	ʺIn fact, Ulysses is a wise man.ʺ
331:	и ѿмѣтает сѧ таковѫ хытростиѧ	ʺAnd he stands apart by such a clever design,ʺ
	да сѧ не причѧстить троискои кръви.	ʺso that he will not take part on Trojan blood.ʺ
332:	да поусти да връгѫть сна Єго прѣд оралом.	ʺ(But) let they throw his son in front of his plough.ʺ

338:	и оурекшишъ състави воловы не ѡрати.	And Ulysses stopped the oxen from ploughing.
339:	и поведе го иаиꙗкшишь прѣд оба црѣ.	And Ajax brought him to the kings.
340:	и рче оурекшишь кь цремъ,	And Ulysses said to the kings:
341:	волил бих тицат съ бѣснымь псомъ по свѣтоу за ·г· лѣта	ʺI would rather run with a mad dog for 3 years around the world,ʺ
	нежели видѣти троискыѫ кръве колика щеть быти за Єленѫ црцѫ.	ʺrather then to see how much blood of Troy will be (spilled) for Queen Helen.ʺ
342:	бѣше же и ацилеешь храбрыи паче вьсѣх гръкь. ферелешевъ снъ.	There was also one Achilles, braver than all Greeks, son of Peleus.
343:	и ѡдѣа сѧ вь жен͛ское рꙋхо,	And he clothed himself in female robes.
344:	и поиде съ гждами по градѣхъ,	And he went with ladies around cities,
	Єда сѧ тако оутаитъ. да сѧ не причѧститъ троискои кръви.	so that he hides himself from taking part of Trojan blood.
345:	зане вѣдѣше колика сѧ щет кръвь пролиати за Єленѫ црцѫ.	Because he knew, how much blood will be spilled for Queen Helen.
346:	по семъ исчьтоста оба црѣ воискѫ кораблеи тысѫща и ·ро·	Afterwards the two kings counted a an army/fleet of thousand and 170 ships.
347:	и ѿринѫшѫ сѧ вь море.	And they launched into the sea.
348:	и поидошѫ под троѫ.	And they came beneath Troy.
349:	и присташѫ въ Єдиномъ ѿ отокъ красенъ ꙃѣло, именемъ абакоумъ.	And they landed in a very beautiful island, called Aulis.
350:	и вь томъ отоцѣ бѣше Єдина лѣпа кошоута, ви́лы. и пррочцѧ	And on that island there was a beautiful hind of the fairy and prophetess,
	и́менемъ фе́лешѫ гждѫ коа обладаше морскыми влънами и́ вѣтром.	Lady Pallas by name, who ruled by sea waves and winds.
351:	и ꙋбишѫ онѫ кошоутѫ витези агамена црѣ.	And knights of King Agamemnon killed the hind.

353:	и оувѣдѣ то̏ фелеша гжда.	And Lady Pallas learned about it.

	да погоубить всѧ кораблѧ гръцкыѫ до конца.	to destroy all the ships of the Greeks.

357:	и озлоби сѧ менелае црь велми.	And King Menelaus became very angry.
358:	и призва попа калкаша.	And he summoned Calchas the Priest.
359:	и вьпроси Єго глѧ,	And he asked him, speaking:

361:	и хощемъ погынѫти въ отоцѣ семь.	ʺAnd will we die on this island?ʺ

363:	оубиле сѧ витези обрѣтше кошоутѫ ви́лы пророчицѫ фелешѫ гждѫ.	ʺHaving found the hind of the fairy and prophetess Lady Pallas, the knights have killed it.ʺ

377:	и поусти за своѫ дъщере цвѣтаны гждѫ.	ʺAnd send (a command) for your daughter Lady Cvětana.ʺ

394:	ѡ гжде црце. да оувѣси ꙗко ꙋмиришѫ с(ѧ).	ʺO lady queen, may you know that they reconciled.ʺ
395:	и съЄдинишѫ с(ѧ) троане съ гръкы.	ʺAnd Trojans and Greeks united.ʺ
396:	и повратишѫ Єленѫ црцѫ без ръвани.	ʺAnd they returned Queen Helen without war.ʺ

402:	и вь тыѫ нощь прииде Пелеша гжда. къ агаменоу црю	And in that night Lady Pallas came to King Agamemnon.

414:	и щитѣше иаꙗкшь шоломоничевь снъ. своимъ щитомъ зорѣнымъ.	And Ajax, son of Telamon, shielded (them) with his shield of dawn.
415:	и защити ·зı· корабеи гръч͛скых ѿ живого ѡгнѣ иекторова.	And he protected 17 among Greek ships from Hector's live fire.
416:	и по томъ изыдошѫ грьчьстїи витези на ратъ.	And afterwards went Greek knights into battle.
417:	и изыде противѫ и́ Єлѣноушь прѣꙗмꙋшвь снъ. брать алеѯандръвъ.	And Helenus, son of Priam and brother of Alexander, went against (them).
418:	и начѧ сѧ бити подь троѫ.	And he began to fight under Troy.
419:	и оурва Єлѣнꙋшь тивоурцера. дицева сна.	And Helenus struck Teucer, son of Diceus.
420:	и лежаше тивоуцеръ подъ своимъ фарижемъ кои сѧ зовѣше рогафарижь.	And Teucer laid under his horse, called Rogafaris.
421:	и лежаше вь троискомъ прасѣ проблѣдѣвъ ѿ съмрътнаго страха.	And he laid in the dust of Troy, having become pale by fear of death.
422:	и близ него бѣ оурекшишь,	And Ulysses was close to him.
423:	и не смѣ Єгѡ, отѧти.	And he did not dare to take him away.

425:	и по томъ иЗыдошѫ гръчьстїи витези. и воеводы под трои.	And afterwards came Greek knights and commanders out beneath Troy.

427:	и сташѫ под троѫ.	And they stood beneath Troy.
428:	и поде менелае цръ и оуре́кшь на вѣрѣ прѣꙗмоуша кралѣ.	And King Menelaus and Ulysses went with a promise of King Priam.
429:	и начѧста говорити прѣꙗмоушоу кралю, вратити на опѧть Єленѫ црцѫ, без ръвани.	And they began to discuss with King Priam about returning Queen Helen without war again,
	да не за неѧ̏ ради пролѣЄт сѧ велика кръвъ. и мноѕӥ витези погыбнѫтъ.	so that because of her does not flow a lot of blood, and the many knights will not die.
430:	и хѿѣше краль вратити ѧ,	And the king wanted to return her.
431:	и оувѣдѣ то̏ алеѯандръ фарижъ.	And Alexander Paris found out about that.
432:	и доиде.	And he came.
433:	и хотѣше погоубити менелаоуша црѣ и оурекшиша†	And he would have killed King Menelaus and Ulysses,

483:	и поустишѫ иаиꙗкша, да ищет ацилеша.	And they sent Ajax to search for Achilles.
484:	и иска Єго вь мноЗѣхъ мѣстѣхъ, и отоцѣх и градѣхъ,	And he searched for him in many places and islands and cities.
485:	и не може го наити.	And he could not find him.
486:	и доиде на Єдинъ ѿ оток лѣпъ, и красенъ велми. кои сѧ зовѣше калкадиновь отокъ.	And he came to one of the islands, a very beautiful one, which was called Calchadin's (?) island.
487:	и вь томъ отоцѣ бѣше пиргос красень.	And there was a beautiful tower on that island.
488:	и вь томъ пирѕѣ бѣше крáль именемь ко́ета крал.	And in that tower was a king called King Koyata.
489:	и ꙋ того бѣ кралѣ ·е· дьщерїи.	And this king had 5 daughters,
490:	и ·ѕ· ацилешъ.	and the sixth (was) Achilles (in hiding).
491:	и вьзврати сѧ под троѫ.	And he returned beneath the Troy.

538:	и многыѫ вел͛мѫ погоублѣаше.	And he killed many great men.
539:	и боаше сѧ глса ацилешева.	And (but?) he was afraid of the voice of Achilles.

574:	поустила мѧ ста оба црѣ да мѧ прїимешь на опѧт.	ʺThe two kings have sent me, so that you may accept me again.ʺ
575:	и остави гнѣвь.	ʺAnd leave your anger.ʺ
576:	та изыди под троѫ на брань. давно би ѡделѣ некторю кралю.	ʺAnd come to Troy to fight, so that you defeat King Hector.ʺ
577:	а ацилешь ничтоже ѿвѣща.	But Achilles did not respond.
578:	и направи сѧ аиакшь.	And Ajax prepared himself.
579:	и поиде на нектора.	And he went against Hector.
580:	и вьзѧ аиакшь камен коего не могѫть два витеза двигнѫти.	And Ajax took a stone, which cannot be lifted by two knights.
581:	и наꙗзди	And he attacked.
582:	и̂ оудари Єктора кралѣ.	And he struck King Hector.
583:	и поклѧкнѫ Є́кторъ и [...] егова фариа на земѧ.	And Hector fell to his knees and his horse to the ground.
584:	и обращ сѧ рче.	And having turned, he said:
585:	н ѣс съи оударъ ѿ грьцкыихъ оударъ.	ʺThis was not a strike by the Greeks.ʺ
586:	нѫ ес ѿ прижиискыхъ кръвїи.	ʺBut it was done by the Phrygian blood.ʺ
587:	и вьпроси ѥго	And he asked him:

589:	и рче Ємъ	And he said to him:
590:	азъ Єсмь иаиакшь.	ʺI am Ajax.ʺ
591:	и Єкторъ рче.	And Hector said:

593:	н ѣси ты ѿ гръчьскых витезь.	ʺYou are not from (the stock of) Greek knights.ʺ

596:	и даде моу Єктороу своего златого меча.	And he gave to Hector his golden sword.

598:	опоаши сѧ симь златымь мечемъ по орѫжию своЄмꙋ.	ʺPut this golden sword to your belt next to your arms.ʺ
599:	да егда идеши на ръвань, да азъ ѿ тебе не погынѫ	ʺSo when you go into the battle, I will not be killed by yourself.ʺ
600:	а ты ѿ мене.	And you will (not be killed) by myself.
601:	и поиде Єкторъ вь троѫ.	And Hector went to Troy.
602:	и пришед рче братоу своемоу алеѯандроу фарижꙋ.	And having come, he said to his brother, Alexander Paris:
603:	не тебе ради ли приде брань сиа на троѫ.	ʺDid not this war came to Troy because of you?ʺ
604:	и азъ тебе ради кръвъ своѫ проливамъ.	ʺAnd am I not spilling my blood for you?ʺ
605:	а ты̏ не хощеши никогы съ мноѫ изыти на ръвань.	ʺBut will you never go out with me to the battle?ʺ
606:	и рче поити	And he told (him) to go.
607:	да Єгы ста̏ заоутра и направи сѧ алеѯандръ	And when he woke up next morning, he prepared himself.
608:	и поиде на брань.	And he went to war.
609:	и оувѣдѣ менелаоушь црь. ꙗко алеѯандръ фариж идеть на ръванъ.	And King Menelaus found out that Alexander Paris goes to the battle.
610:	и нарѧди сѧ менелаꙋшь цръ	And he put himself into a rank.
611:	и поиде противѫ Ємоу	And he went against him.
612:	и наꙗ́здиста сѧ.	And they charged at each other.
613:	и ꙋрва менелае алеѯандра фарижа.	And Menelaus struck Alexander Paris.
614:	и лежаше въ троискомъ прасѣ	And he was laying in the Trojan dust.
615:	и вращь сѧ менелае црь и хотѣше Єго погꙋбити до конца.	And having returned, King Menelaus wanted to finish and kill him.
616:	и приспѣ веноуша гжда	And Lady Venus came in haste.
617:	и створи великѫ мъглѫ	And she made a big fog.
618:	и не може го ѡбрѣсти.	And (Menelaus) could not find him.
619:	нѫ ꙋбѣже вь троѫ.	But (Alexander) fled to Troy.
620:	и видѣ Єго Єлина црца	And Queen Helen saw him.
621:	и рче Ємоу,	And she said to him:
622:	ѡ алеѯандре фарижоу. вѣдѣ говорѣх ти,	ʺO Alexander Paris, I told you!ʺ
623:	противѫ не исходи мелаоушоу црю.	ʺDo not go against King Menelaus!ʺ
624:	зане бо е по храберъ ѿ тебе.	ʺBecause he is braver than you.ʺ
625:	а ты е́си по чьтенъ гднь	ʺBut you are more honorable man,ʺ
	и по добръ игрецъ играти и веселити сѧ съ гждами.	ʺand a better dancer, (when) dancing and feasting with ladies.ʺ
626:	видѣх бо ꙗко твои жльтїи власи лежахѫ вь троискѡмь прасѣ.	ʺFor I saw, that your yellow hair would lay in the Trojan dust,ʺ

	доичикъ, кои бѣше съ нимъ Єдино млѣко салъ.	(his) milk-brother, who drank with him the same milk.
630:	и рче Ємꙋ	And he said to him:
631:	ѡ гдине ацилеешꙋ. прими своЄ ѡрѫжие. и свои фарижь,	ʺO lord Achilles, take your weapons and your horse!ʺ
632:	и поиди под своимъ знамениемъ. противѫ Єкторꙋ кралю.	ʺAnd go under your banned against King Hector!ʺ
633:	Аще ли не хощеши да поусти мене	ʺIf you do not wish, then allow me (to go).ʺ
634:	и направи мѧ въ твоемъ ѡрѫжи и под твоимъ знамениемъ.	ʺAnd prepare me with your arms and your banner.ʺ
635:	давно сѧ би възвратилъ Єкторъ краль ѿ нас.	ʺSo that King Hector may retreat from us.ʺ

637:	и видѣ Єкторъ краль знамение ацилешево,	And King Hector saw the banner of Achilles.

641:	н ѣс ми срамота ѿ добра витеза оумрѣти.	ʺIt is no shame to die by a good knight.ʺ
642:	и начѧста сѧ бити.	And they began to fight.
643:	и оуби Єкторъ потроколоуша.	And Hector killed Patroclus.
644:	и привѧза Єго фарижоу Єго къ опаши.	And (Hector) tied him to his horse by the tail.
645:	и повлѣче Єго вь троѫ.	And (Hector) dragged him to Troy.
646:	и радоуаше сѧ мнѧ ꙗко ацилеша оуби.	And he was glad, thinking, that he killed Achilles.
647:	Видѣвъ то̏ ацилешь и жалостенъ быс велми.	Having seen it, Achilles became very sad.
648:	и поусти матери своеи тетиши гжди вь Єлины	And he sent (a message) to Lady Thetys, his mother in Greece.
649:	и рче Єи	And he said to her:
650:	допоусти ми онаквози орѫжие. каквото ми бѣ и прѣжде дала.	ʺSend me that kind of weapons, which you had given be before!ʺ
651:	аще ли ми не даси да понест͛ щѫ моѫ главѫ голѫ под троискыи ꙃиздь.	ʺIf you will not, I will carry my head bare under the Trojan walls.ʺ
652:	и к томоу мене не видиши.	ʺAnd you do not (want to) see this from me!ʺ
653:	и слышавъ то̏ тетиша гжда. и поиде въ горѫ калканоушꙋ ковачю.	Having heard that, Lady Thetis went to the mountain of Vulcan the smith,

654:	и даде Ємоу много злата.	And she gave him a lot of gold.
655:	и рче Ємоу по скоро исковати всѣка ѡрѫжиа.	And she told him to forge all the arms soon.
656:	и искова орѫжиа добра.	And he forged good arms.
657:	и пꙋсти тетиша гжда Ацилешоу сноу своемоу под троѫ.	And Lady Thetys sent (it) to Achilles, her son, beneath the Troy.
658:	и въ кои днь принесено быс ѡрѫжие то̏.	And on the day, when the arms were brought,
	въ тыѫже нощь видѣ сънъ жена Єктора кралѣ Євтропїа гжда.	on that night, the wife of King Hector, Lady Eutropia, saw a dream.
659:	и разбоуди сѧ ѿ съна своѥго.	And she was awaken by her dream.
660:	и начѧ плакати жалостно.	And she started to cry sadly.
661:	и ставши иде прѣд ложницѫ свекра своего прѣꙗмоуша кралѣ,	And having stood up, she went to the chambers of her father-in-law, King Priam.
662:	и слышавъ то прѣꙗмꙋшь краль, и рче	And having heard it, King Priam said:
663:	кто ѥс прѣдъ моѫ ложницѫ, въ полоунощъ и толико плачеть.	ʺWho is in front of my chambers, crying so much in the middle of the night?ʺ
664:	и рче гжда	And the lady said:
665:	гдне Єво смь азъ сама.	ʺO lord, it is I alone.ʺ
666:	и н ѣсмь пръвоЄ приходила. ни говорила.	ʺAnd I did not come earlier, nor spoke.ʺ
667:	и нинѣ ти говорѧ	ʺAnd now I tell you.ʺ
668:	и молѧ тѧ	ʺAnd I pray you.ʺ
669:	не ѿпоущаи сна своего, въ оутрѣшныи днь на ръванъ на ацилееша.	ʺDo not let your son tomorrow to fight Achilles!ʺ

673:	изыде из троѧ велика мечка.	ʺA big bear came out of Troy.ʺ
674:	а из гръчьскыѧ воискы ве́прь.	ʺAnd a boar (went out of) Greek army.ʺ
675:	и начѧста сѧ борити.	ʺAnd they began to fight.ʺ
676:	и посѣче вепрь мечкѫ.	ʺAnd the boar slaughtered the bear.ʺ
677:	и лежаше на троискомъ прасѣ.	ʺAnd (the bear) was laying in the dust of Troy.ʺ
678:	и вьвлѣче ѧ вь гръчьскыи околь.	ʺAnd it was brought to Greece.ʺ
679:	и к томоу не видѣхъ камо сѧ дѣнѫ	ʺAnd for that I saw now, where to go.ʺ
680:	да аще поустишь иектора то не щешь го видѣти.	ʺSo if you let Hector (fight), you will not see him (again).ʺ
681:	и слышав то прѣꙗмоушь краль, и начѧ ѧ тѣшити. тихыми бесѣдами.	Having heard that, King Priam began to consolate her with low words.
682:	ѡ гсне не злосръди сѧ.	ʺO lord (lady?), do not be angry!ʺ
683:	мы хощемъ створити что Єсть добрѣ.	ʺWe will do, what is good!ʺ
684:	и проводи ѫ вь ложницѫ Єѫ.	And he brought her to her chambers.
685:	и Єгы быс заоутра. и направи сѧ Єкторъ краль на брань.	And as the morning came, King Hector prepared himself for battle.
686:	и изыдошѫ противѫ Ємоу троискыѧ гждѧ.	And Trojan ladies went in front of him,
	и мати Єгова ꙗкоупа гжда	and his mother, Lady Hecuba,
	и жена Єгова андрофїа гжда.	and his wife Lady Andromache,
	и сестры Єго кащранда и поликшена.	and his sisters Cassandra and Polyxena.
687:	и възбранѣахѫ Ємоу да не би исходль на брань.	And they halted him, so that he would not go to battle.
688:	он сѧ не хотѣше оставити.	(But) he did not want to stop.
689:	и възѧ жена Єгова сна Єго,	And his wife took his son.
690:	и метнѫ прѣд фарижа егова давно сѧ би вьзвратилъ.	And she threw him in front of his son, so that he returns.
691:	а он сѧ не хотѣше вьзвратити.	But he did not want to return.
692:	и рче Ємоу жена его андрофиа гжда.	And his wife Lady Andromache said:
693:	о екторе почакаи мене мало,	ʺO Hector, wait for me a moment.ʺ
694:	и шедъ в ложницѫ своѫ съвлѣче съ себе свилное роухо,	And having went to her chambers, she put down the silken robe from herself.
695:	и облѣче чръны ризы.	And she put on a black shirt.
696:	и̂ иде прѣд него.	And thus she went to him.
697:	и ста прѣд фарижомъ.	And she stood in front of his horse.
698:	и рче	And she said:
699:	ѡ Єкторе кралю. да вѣси аще сѧ нинѣ не вратишь.	ʺO Hector, may you know, if you will not turn back now,ʺ
	то сиквози щѫ роухо носити по тебѣ.	ʺthen I will wear such a robe because of you.ʺ
700:	и тако Єкторъ не врати сѧ.	And (even?) thus Hector did not turn.
701:	нѫ поиде противѫ ацилешоу.	But he went against Achilles.
702:	и съставша сѧ, не биста сѧ въ тъи [днь]	And having met each other, they did not fight that day.
703:	нѫ постависта срокъ бити сѧ заꙋтра.	But they made an agreement to fight the next day.
704:	и вь тоизи днь оуби Єкторь ·з· ꙋровъ гръчьскых.	And on that day Hector killed 6 Greek heroes.
705:	и заꙋтра изыде екторъ краль.	And on the morning went King Hector out.
706:	и начѧста сѧ бити съ ацилешем.	And they began to fight with Achilles.
707:	и наꙗзди ацилешь ектора,	And Achilles attacked Hector.
708:	и ꙋрва его	And he struck him.
709:	и прободе.	And he pierced him.
710:	и мртвъ паде на земѧ.	And (Hector) fell to the ground.
711:	и възѧ го ацилешь	And Achilles took him.
712:	и занесе на свои станъ	And he brought him to his tent.
713:	и видѣвше троистии велмѫже и гждѫ. и начѧшѧ жалостно плакати.	And having seen it, Trojan lords and ladies have began to cry with grief.
714:	и вьзѧ прѣꙗмоушь краль на себе нищѧ и хꙋды ри́зы и гѫсли	And King Priam took poor and miserable clothes and a lyre.
715:	и поиде вь гръчьскѫѧ воискѫ.	And he went to the (camp of the) Greek army.
716:	и начѧ пытати ацилешева катоуна:	And he began to ask about Achilles' tent (master?)
717:	коего Є днес бъ почьлъ да мѧ напоитъ и накръмитъ грѣшнаго, и страннаго.	ʺWho has been blessed by God today, so that he gives me a drink and food, the sinful and straying one?ʺ
718:	и доиде на ацилешевъ катоунъ.	And he came to the tent of Achilles.
719:	и начѧ гѫсти въ гѫсли жалостно велми.	And he began to play very sad songs on his lyre.
720:	и дааше Ємоу ѿ вчерѧ своѫ ꙗсти и пити.	And they were giving him food and drink from their dinner.
721:	и Єгы быс по вчери и легошѫ пиани спати.	And after the dinner they laid themselves drunk to sleep.

723:	и вьставъ прѣꙗмоушь и начѧ искати сна своего иектора кралѣ.	And having stood up, Priam began to search for his son, King Hector.

725:	и видѣвъ Єго прѣꙗмоушь мрътва. и вьздъхнѫвъ ѿ срдца велми.	And having seen him dead, Priam sighed from his heart deeply.
726:	и видѣв то ацилешъ, и оустраши сѧ.	And having seen it, Achilles became frightened.
727:	и рче Ємоу	And he said to (King Priam).
728:	кто Єси ты̏.	ʺWho are you?ʺ
729:	и рче он͛	And he said:
730:	азъ есмъ прѣꙗмоушь крал,	ʺI am King Priam.ʺ
731:	и ищѫ сна своего Єктора кралѣ.	ʺAnd I seek my son, King Hector.ʺ
732:	и рче Ємоу ацилешь	And Achilles said to him:
733:	аще ты̏ еси прѣꙗмоушь, то̏ азъ ѿ страха твоЄго мрътвъ Єсмъ.	ʺIf you are Priam, I am dead of fear of you.ʺ

752:	и поклѧкнѫ ацилешь клѧти сѧ ꙗко не ръвати †тро́ѫ.	And Achilles knelt to speak his vow, not to fight Troy.
753:	и тоу сѧ бѣ скрылъ Єлѣноушъ прѣꙗмоушевъ снь.	And Helenus, son of Priam, had hid there.
754:	и ꙋдари ацилеша ꙗдовитѫ стрѣлоѫ вь пѧтѫ.	And he struck Achilles with a poison arrow to his heel.
755:	зане бѣ весъ арматосанъ	Because he was fully armored.
756:	толико ходила его без желѣза.	Only his feet (were) without iron.
757:	тогда ацилешь пад на земѧ издъше.	Then, as Achilles fell on the ground, he breathed out.
758:	и видѣв то прѣꙗмоушь краль озлоби сѧ велми	And having seen that, King Priam became very angry.
759:	и съвлѣче прѣꙗмоушь с него арматосъ всѧ	And Priam stripped the armor from him.
760:	и ѿпоусти обѣма црма.	And he sent it to the two kings.
761:	и сказа има како има вѣрѫ изломишѫ.	And he told them, how the faith was broken.
762:	да аще велита да тѣло его принесѧ к вама.	ʺIf you say so, I will bring his body to you.ʺ
763:	и плакашѫ велми видѣвше орѫжие ацилешево.	And they cried a lot, as they saw the arms of Achilles.
764:	и порѫчиста прѣꙗмоушоу кралю съжещи тѣло его. и вьсипати въ кръчагъ.	And they commanded King Priam to burn his body and pour (the ashes) into a pitcher.
765:	да створимъ гробъ Єго на далечнои земи.	ʺMay we make him a grave in a faraway land.ʺ
766:	и слышав͛ то̏ прѣꙗмоушь крал и съжеже пльт Єгѡ.	And having heard it, King Priam burned his flesh.

769:	и видѣвша црѣ и ꙋрове гр͛цтїи. дивїшѫ с(ѧ) глюще.	And the kings and heroes of Greece were amazed, saying:

788:	и приведохъ ѧ.	ʺAnd I brought her.ʺ
789:	и сташѫ вльнениа морскаа	ʺAnd the waves in the sea ceased.ʺ
790:	и вы поидосте съ веселѣмь под троѫ.	ʺAnd you went beneath Troy with joy.ʺ
791:	да присѫдите оурекшишоу орѫже то̏.	ʺMay you give the arms to Ulysses!ʺ
792:	и рче иаиакшь	And Ajax said:
793:	ѡ гръцтїи оурѡве не присѫждаите оурекшишоу того ѡрѫжиа.	ʺO heroes of Greece, do not grant the arms to Ulysses!ʺ
794:	присѫдѣте е аиакшоу. кои хощеть по чьстно сь нимь вамь работати.	ʺGrant it to Ajax, who knows more honorably to work with them!ʺ
795:	и помѣните то̏ Єгы доидохмы под троѫ на брань	ʺAnd remember as we went into the battle beneath Troy,ʺ
796:	и ꙋрва Єлѣноушь прѣамоушевъ снъ, тивоуцера. дицеоушева сна.	ʺAnd Helenus, son of Priam, struck Teucer, son of Diceus.ʺ
797:	и близ него бѣ оꙋ́рекшешь,	ʺAnd Ulysses was near to him.ʺ

802:	ѡ гръчьстїи оурѡве помѣнѣте Єгы азь заложих своѫ главѫ на срѧщѫ.	ʺO Greek heroes, remember as I put my head to fortune.ʺ
803:	и поидох вь троѫ нощиѧ,	ʺAnd I went to Troy by the night.ʺ
804:	и створи всѣ намъ. ЄжЄ на похвалѫ.	ʺAnd I made us all worthy of praise.ʺ
805:	и извѣдохъ бѣлого фарижа реидеша кралѣ,	ʺAnd I took the white stallion of King Rhesus.ʺ
806:	а того погоубльша.	ʺAnd he was killed.ʺ
807:	и доидох къ вамъ съ великоѫ чьстиѫ.	ʺAnd I came to you with great honor.ʺ
808:	даите мнѣ то̏ орѫжие.	ʺGive me those arms!ʺ

810:	и рче аиакшь	And Ajax said:
811:	ѡ гръчьстїи оурѡве, помѣнѣте то̏, Єгда поидох противѫ Єктороу кралю,	ʺO Greek heroes, remember, as I went against King Hector!ʺ
812:	и вьзѧхъ великыи каменъ коликаго не можахѫ двигнѫти два витеꙃа ѿ земѧ.	ʺAnd I took a big stone, which could not be lifted by two knights from the ground.ʺ
813:	и оударихъ Єктора кралѣ.	ʺAnd I struck King Hector.ʺ
814:	и поклѧкнѫ Єкторъ и еговъ фарижъ на земѧ.	ʺAnd Hector and his horse knelt on the ground.ʺ
815:	да присѫдите мнѣ сие орѫжие,	ʺMay you grant these arms to me!ʺ
816:	а не даваите е оурекшоу на плѣшивѫѧ главѫ.	ʺAnd do not give it to Ulysses' bald head.ʺ
817:	и начѧ говорити оурекшь ти́хыми бесѣдами.	And Ulysses began to speak with silent words.
818:	ѡ гдна црѣ. и вьси Єгови велмѫжие и оурѡве. да вѣсте	ʺO lords-kings and all of you, their (ʺhisʺ) lords and heroes, may you know.ʺ
819:	азь ничьсого прошѫ.	ʺI beg for nothing.ʺ
820:	нѫ мене поустисте да доведѫ ацилеша.	ʺBut you sent me to bring Achilles.ʺ
821:	и приведохъ го къ вамъ.	ʺAnd I brought him to you.ʺ
822:	да нинѣ ѥго прошѫ вамъ.	ʺMay I pray you now for him.ʺ
823:	дадите Єго мнѣ само. да ѿведѫ и поставлѧ где того смь и взѧлъ.	ʺGive him only to me, so that I bring and place him there, where I took him!ʺ
824:	тогда црь и всѧ воеводы и оурѡве гръчьстии кои сѣдѣхѫ вь коулѣ и начѧхѫ поглѧдовати дроугъ на дроуга.	Then the king and all the commanders and Greek heroes, who sat in a tower, started to look at each other.
825:	и не имѣхѫ что ѿвѣщати оурекшишоу.	And they had nothing to answer to Ulysses.
826:	и дашѫ Ємꙋ орѫжие ацилешево. да имъ не би просилъ ацилеша.	And they gave him the arms of Achilles, so that he would not ask for Achilles himself (?)
827:	и видѣ то аиáкшь.	And Ajax saw it.
828:	и изѧ свои малыи мечь.	And he took his short sword.
829:	и прободе сѧ на томь мѣстѣ за жалость своѧ.	And he pierced himself on the place for his sorrow.
830:	и озлоби сѧ о томь вьсѣ воиска гръцкаа и оба црѣ	And all the forces of Greeks and both kings became angry because of it.
831:	и видѣ то оурекшешь како сѧ озлобиста оба црѣ и вси болѣре Єго.	And Ulysses saw that the both kings and all their boyars were angry.
832:	и рече оурекшешь обѣма црема.	And Ulysses said to the two kings:
833:	не злобита сѧ гдна моа	ʺO my lords, do not be angry with me!ʺ
834:	нѫ да вѣста извѣстно.	ʺBut may you know for sure.ʺ
835:	азь вамь хощѫ то створити. како хощемь троѫ прѣѫти льстиѧ.	ʺI will find out (ʺdoʺ) how to take Troy by a ruse.ʺ
836:	и видѣв то ꙗкоупа. гжда троискаа. ꙗко хощет сѧ троа скончати.	And having seen, how Troy will end,
	и направи сна своего меншего.	Lady Hecuba prepared her smallest son,
	коего зовѣше полидвороушь.	who was called Polydorus.
837:	и поусти ѥго на ѡнъ полъ морѣ, полинещероу кралю.	And she sent him to that part of the sea to King Polymestor,
	кои кралювааше по всеи пагажи.	who ruled as king over all Pagos,
	и многа сь нимъ злата и сребра.	and a lot of gold and silver with him,
	давно сѧ би сѣмѧ оухранило ѿ троѫ.	to save the seed of Troy.
838:	и оумысли оурекшишъ.	And Ulysses thought.
839:	и црма повелѣ поустити вь гръкы. и донести мѣдь и стъкло и восъкъ.	And he commanded the kings to send for copper and glass and wax to Greece.
840:	и створи ꙃѣло красна фарижа сѣра.	And he created a very beautiful, shimmering horse.
841:	и избра ·т· витезъ храбрыихъ.	And he chose 300 brave knights.
842:	и арматосавъ посади вь нем.	And having armed (them), he put them inside.
843:	и вьставъ воиска зашед съкры сѧ.	And having stood up, the army went back and hid itself.
844:	и корабле потаишѫ сѧ вь шимошевѣх брѣзѣхъ,	And the ships hid themselves on the shores of Simoeis.
845:	и изыдошѫ из троѫ, на околища гръчьскаа.	And (Trojans) went out of Troy to around the Greek (camp).
846:	и видѣшѫ фарижа лѣпа и красна велми.	And they saw (the) very beautiful horse.
847:	и повѣдашѫ троискымь гждамъ.	And they told (about it) to Trojan ladies.
848:	и рекошѫ.	And they said:
849:	аще би съи̏ фарижь былъ вь трои, по много моу би лѣпоты прибыло.	ʺIf this horse would be in Troy, he would become much more beautiful.ʺ
850:	и рекошѫ троискыѫ гждѫ.	And Trojan ladies said:
851:	приведѣте Єго намъ да го видимъ.	ʺBring it to us, so that we can see it!ʺ
852:	и сътворишѫ противѫ Ємоу сѣни	And they made a tent (?) against it (?)
853:	и повезохѫ Єго въ троѫ.	And they carried it to Troy.
854:	и доидошѫ до вратъ градоу,	And they came to the gates of the city.
855:	и не може вьнити Єдино оухо вь врата.	And one ear could not enter the gate.
856:	и бѣше великъ камень надъ враты. градоу.	And there was a large stone over the gates of the city.
857:	и хотѣхѫ ѿбити оухо фарижоу.	And they wanted to struck the ear of the horse.
858:	и не дадохѫ троискыѫ гждѫ.	But the Trojan ladies did not allow it.
859:	нѫ рекошѫ сътльщи камень, иже бѣше надъ враты.	But they said to struck the stone over the gates.
860:	и пакы хощемь рче заꙃиздати по добрѣ.	Saying: ʺWe will rebuild it better!ʺ
861:	а фарижа не дѣите обрѫбити̏.	ʺBut do not skew the horse!ʺ
862:	и растлькошѫ врата,	And they struck the gates.
863:	и вьвезошѫ фарижа въ град.	And they carried the horse into the city.
864:	да Єгы быс вънѧтръ. тогда воини разьбишѫ стъкло мечными главами	And when the horse was inside, the warriors broke the glass with pommels.
865:	и напрасно изкочивше	And they immediately jumped out.
866:	и исѣкошѫ множьства людїи.	And they massacred a lot of people.
867:	и прѣемше градъ.	And they took the city.
868:	и приспѣшѫ морстїи корабле, и ꙗже по соухоу воискы.	And (then) seafaring ships and the ground forces came in haste.
869:	и испльнивше градъ.	And they filled the city.
870:	и начѧшѫ сѣщи троискыѫ витезы.	And they began to slaughter Trojan knights.
871:	а дрꙋгыѧ изметашѫ вь море.	And others they threw into the sea.
872:	и изведошѫ алеѯандра Фарижа и Єленѫ црцѫ. из высѡкого пиргоса прѣдь менелаоуша црѣ.	And they took Alexander Paris and Queen Helen from a high tower in front of King Menelaus.
873:	и рче Ємоу Єлена црца:	And Queen Helen said to him:
874:	ѡ гне црю, ты быс вѧще кривъ.	ʺO lord king, you were more wrong!ʺ
875:	чемоу мене остави съ алеѯандромь фарижомъ. да мене своимъ невѣрьствомь прѣвари.	ʺWhy did you leave me with Alexander Paris, so that he could seduce by his disloyalty?ʺ
876:	и ѿвѣща Єи црь	And the king answered to her.
877:	и рче	And he said:
878:	ѡ гсне Єлено. да вѣси ꙗко ѿ сели да сътворѧ азь да и́нь никто тебе не прѣваритъ ни прѣльститъ.	ʺO Lady Helen, may you know, that from now I will do so, that no one will be able to seduce you.ʺ
879:	и повелѣ обѣма съ алеѯандромъ главы ꙋсѣкнѫти.	And he commanded to behead them both.
880:	и тако скончашѫ сѧ.	And thus they ended (their lives).
881:	и изведошѫ ꙗкоупѫ гждѫ и всѧ троискыѧ гждѫ.	And they brought Lady Hecuba and all the ladies of Troy.
882:	и посѣкошѫ. поликшенѫ гждѫ, на ацилешевѣ гробѣ. ꙗко тоѫ ради погынѫ.	And they killed Lady Polyxena on the grave of Achilles, as he died because of her.
883:	а ꙗкоупѫ мтре Єѧ дадошѫ на дѣлбѣ оурекшишоу	And they gave her mother Hecuba to Ulysses as a spoil.
884:	и поведе ѧ съ прочими, гждами.	And he took her together with other ladies.
885:	и къждо своЄго поведе.	And each one took bis own.
886:	и начѧхѫ плакати троискыѫ гждѫ	And the Trojan ladies began to cry.
887:	и тѣшаше их ꙗкоупа кралица глщи	And Queen Hecuba consolated them:
888:	мльчите чѧда моа	ʺO my children, be quiet!ʺ
889:	не плачите сѧ	ʺDo not cry!ʺ
890:	азь имамь кто ще нашѧ слъзы ꙋтолити.	ʺI have (someone), who shall quench our tears.ʺ
891:	и ꙋвѣдѣ то полинещерь краль. како сѧ сконча троа.	And King Polymestor heard about the end of Troy.
892:	и повелѣ заклати полидвороуша прѣꙗмоушева сна.	And he gave command to kill Polydorus, son of Priam.
893:	и рче метнѫти ѥго вь море.	And he said to throw him into the sea.
894:	и тоу присташѫ корабле гръчьстии	And here the Greek ships landed.
895:	и вьзѧ ꙗкоупа вѣдро почръсти водѫ.	And Hecuba took a bucket to take water.
896:	и обрѣте сна своего мрътва	And she found her son dead.
897:	и вьзпи гласѡмь велиемъ плачѧ сѧ.	And she cried with a strong voice weeping.
898:	и слышавъ то̏ полинещеръ кралъ. и изыде на оутѣшение ꙗкоупѣ,	And having heard that, King Polymestor went out to consolate Hecuba.
899:	и приближи сѧ троискымь гждамь на оутѣшение.	And he came to Trojan ladies with consolation.
900:	Тогда тыѫ вьставше на нь и̂ ножевы е́го събодошѫ.	Then they stood up against him and killed him with knives.
901:	и видѣвше то̏ граждане. и побишѫ ихъ камениемь.	And having seen that, the citizens killed them with stones.
902:	и вьзврати сѧ црь Менелаоушь съ всѣми гръкы съ вЄликоѫ чьстиѧ,	And King Menelaus and all the Greeks returned with great honor,
	стоавше под троѫ, ·ı· лѣт и ·з· мсць	having stood under Troy for 10 years and 7 months.
903:	и тако сконча сѧ троискоЄ кралев͛ство.	And thus ended the kingdom of Troy,
	прѣжде рождьства хсва на ·тѯ· лѣть. Єндїктиѡ̀на ·з· го	360 years before the birth of Christ, in the 7th Indiction.
904:	и тако бъ смѣрѣЄтъ вьзносѧщих сѧ.	And thus God silences the haughty ones.
905:	и сѣмѧ не чьстивых потрѣбитъ.	And (thus) He destroys the seed of the dishonorable.
906:	ꙗкожЄ̀ пррокь провьзвѣсти глѧ:	As the prophet had foreseen, saying:
907:	видѣх не чьстиваго прѣвъзносѧща сѧ и высѧща сѧ,	ʺI have seen a wicked man flourishing and proud.ʺ
908:	и мимоидох	ʺAnd I passed.ʺ
909:	и не обрѣте сѧ мѣсто к томꙋ ꙗко бъ праведенъ	Because God is just.
910:	и праудѫ вьзлюби̏	And He loves justice.
911:	а пѫти не чьстивых потрѣби	And He destroys the ways of the wicked.
912:	и своеѧ мышцеѧ гръдымъ противит сѧ.	And by His muscles He stands in way of the haughty.
913:	а право ходѧщимъ даЄть благодѣтъ.	And He gives mercy to those walking (in the path of) justice.
914:	и не лишить добра ходѧщих незлобоѫ.	And He does not put away the good away for those, who walk peacefully.
915:	ꙗко томоу подобаЄть въсѣка слава чьс и покланѣнїе	For to Him is worthy all the glory and honor and respect,
	Ѡцоу и Сноу и стѡмꙋ доухоу,	to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
	нинѣ, и при́снѡ, и в вѣкы вѣкѡм.	now and ever and forever!
