70: zašto sa gnusišъ ot mene starago i ne štešъ da storišъ da ma blagoslovišъ ʺwhy are you disgusted by my old self and (so much, that) you don't want to bless me?ʺ
71: Postoi za ljubovъ Xristova ʺstay for the love of Christ!ʺ

96: Avva Zosime tebě priliča da ma blagoslovišъ ʺo Father Zosima, it is appropriate for you to bless meʺ
97: zašto si sveštenikъ boga višnęgo ʺbecause you are a priest of the Highest Godʺ
98: i mnogo pъte si stoęlъ vъ sveti oltarъ ʺand you have stood many times at (ʺinʺ) the holy altarʺ
