| 4: | гь бь ншь ıс хсь. творць нбꙋ и земли и всакомꙋ. сазданїю | The Lord, our God, Jesus Christ, Creator of the heavens and the earth, and all the creation, |
| иже вса единемь. сло́вомь. | who (created) everything by a single word, | |
| сьтвори множство аггль и архангль. и ѡрꙋжїꙗ многа вь вишнемь ерсльїмѣ. | created many angels and archangels and many weapons in the High Jerusalem. | |
| 5: | сьнидеть иже вь ми́ре́ бь гь и ѿ лꙋкаваго. бранить род члвчьски́. | Lord God descended into the world (?) to defend the mankind. |
| 6: | гь ѡснова землю́ | The Lord founded the earth. |
| 7: | и насади ра̏и. | And He planted the Paradise. |
| 8: | и члвка сьтвори по ѡ̈бразоу̏ своемꙋ. | And He craeted the human by His image, |
| прьсти вьзмь ѿ землѐ. | having taken soil from the earth. | |
| 9: | и повеле ѥмоу̀ владати, вь раю̏ | And He commanded him to rule in the Paradise, |
| и црьствовати. ндь всакимь дихáнїемь на землѝ, | and to rule over every breathing (thing) on the earth. | |
| 10: | тгѡ же члкаь вдѣ лꙋкави. сатанаиль. | The evil Satanael saw that man. |
| 11: | и паде ница на землю̀ зло́ю ми́сáлию мисле. | And he fell to the ground, thinking evil thoughts. |
| 12: | и рче | And he said: |
| 13: | сьтвори гь, ѿ землѐ прьстна члвка. | ʺThe Lord has created a man of soil from the earth.ʺ |
| 14: | и прѣвише нбсь сьтвори его. | ʺAnd He made him greater than heavens.ʺ |
| 15: | и прослáви его | ʺAnd He gave him glory.ʺ |
| 16: | ѡ̈цри все. | ʺHe became a king of all.ʺ |
| 17: | и аггльскїе силе покланаю се ѥмоу̏. | ʺAnd angelic forces bow to him.ʺ |
| 18: | азь же зрети его не могꙋ. ни поклонити се ѥмоу. | ʺAnd, I cannot (endure) seeing him, nor bow to him!ʺ |
| 19: | ню сьберꙋ сили свое, и слвꙋ свою и все чини аггльскїе хилаꙗдь ·м· | ʺBut I will assemble my forces and my glory, and all the angelic ranks, 40 thousand (angels).ʺ |
| 20: | и вьзмꙋ бготканꙋю, ѡ̈деждоу и всьчьстнѝ бгоплететени. вѣнць скипетра архангльских. чиновь | ʺAnd I will take the divine-weaved clothes and most honorable divine-weaved wreath of command over archangelic ranks.ʺ |
| 21: | исти́на вса вьзмꙋ̀. | ʺIndeed, I will take everything.ʺ |
| 22: | изидꙋ̀ ѿ нбсь | ʺI will descend from heavens.ʺ |
| 23: | и постàвлꙋ̀. прѣстоль свои на ѡ̈блацех нбсних | ʺAnd I will place my throne on the heavenly clouds.ʺ |
| 24: | и бꙋдꙋ̀. подбнь вишнемꙋ̀. | ʺAnd I will be like the Highest.ʺ |
| 25: | и та вса поми́сли. прѣлꙋ́кави сатанаило. | And thus thought the most evil Satanael. |
| 26: | и преблáзнѝ множьство. аггль | And he deceived many angels. |
| 27: | изиде ѿ ꙋтврьждених ·з· нбсь | He went out of the hardened 6 heavens. |
| 28: | и та вь мьглꙋ́венїе. | And he (entered) the fogs, |
| 29: | ѿ кеде изиде | whence he came out, |
| 30: | и ѿтврьзе. нбса скровища. витрꙋ̀ и дьждоу. | and unbound the treasures (in) heavens of wind and rain. |
| 31: | и пролиꙗше вдꙋ на землю̀. | And he was pouring the water on the earth. |
| 32: | и сьтвори нбса подбна себѣ̀ | And he created heavens alike to him. |
| 33: | и сьтворит слнце. тьмно и лꙋнꙋ̀ тьмнꙋ̀. | And he create(d) a dark sun and a dark moon. |
| 34: | иззведе безрачне | |
| 35: | и поставих. прѣстоль свои на ѡ̈блацех. нбснихь | And I (?) placed my throne on the heavenly clouds. |
| 36: | и сдѣ на прѣстоле своемь ѡ̈крсть множьство нечистих бесовь. | And he sat on his throne around a host of impure demons, |
| све́ не горних си́ль. хилїꙗдь ·м· | all the not-high forces (of) 40 thousand. | |
| 37: | вь вишни иже ѡ̈ць призвà. архагле своѐ ·д· прьвие слꙋги сво престола своего, | The Father in the Heights summoned his 4 archangels, the first servants of His throne: |
| страшнаго михаила. и гаврила и ꙋ́рила и рахавила. | the terrible Michael, and Gabriel, and Uriel, and Raphael. | |
| 38: | и рче гь кь ними | And the Lord said to them: |
| 39: | да вдѣсте ли ви мои аггли, | ʺHave you seen, o my angels,ʺ |
| како избѐже прѣлꙋкави сáтанїо. | ʺhow the most evil Satanael ran away,ʺ | |
| и како си прѣльсти множьство архагль. | ʺand how he deceived a number of archangels,ʺ | |
| ихьже азь створих свтимь дхомь. | ʺwhich I created by the Holy Spirit?ʺ | |
| 40: | имѣхь. ихь нбсних силѝ свое | ʺI had them (as) my heavenly forces.ʺ |
| 41: | ѡнь же прѣблазни их. | ʺAnd he deceived them.ʺ |
| 42: | изведе их вь тмꙋ̀ кромешнꙋ̀. | ʺHe led them into outer darkness.ʺ |
| 43: | азь же паки сьтвориих, члвкы̏ | ʺAnd, again, I created the humans.ʺ |
| 44: | и бꙋдꙋ̀ изьбрани да твореть, волꙋ̀ мою. апслы̏ и проки. и мчнкы̏. | ʺAnd they will be chosen to do my will - apostles, and prophets, and martyrs.ʺ |
| 45: | и бꙋ́дꙋт мѝ ꙗко аггли. | ʺAnd they will be for me like angels.ʺ |
| 46: | и ꙋмножꙋ англе своѐ. стократицею ѿ аггль ѿпадьших сь нбсь. | ʺAnd I will increase the number of angels hundred times (more than the count) of angels having fell away from the heavens.ʺ |
| 47: | архистратизи. рекоше | The archstrateges said: |
| 48: | ги доколе ищеть литави. блазни и мꙋчити род члчаски | ʺO Lord, until when will the Evil one deceive and torment the mankind?ʺ |
| 49: | гь рче | The Lord said: |
| 50: | вьзмꙋ̀ ·з· честь ѿ мѝра ѿ ·з· ми̂рь̀ ве́ковь, | ʺI will take 6 honors (parts?) from the world, from the 6 ages of the world.ʺ |
| 51: | архангли не разꙋ́меше. сло́вꙋ̀ еже рче гь. | Archangels did not understand the word, which the Lord said. |
| 52: | и ре́коше | And they said: |
| 53: | про́ꙗви ни еже рче ни, | ʺExplain us, what you told us!ʺ |
| 54: | гь рче | The Lord said: |
| 55: | имамь вамь̀. проꙗвити сло́во на дь́ске, | ʺI shall explain the word to you on a table,ʺ |
| вамь разꙋмеи истини ѿ мене | ʺto you, who understand my truth (?)ʺ | |
| 56: | ами́нь. глꙋ вамь | ʺAmen, I say to you:ʺ |
| 57: | егда сатанаиль. сьблазни се. ѿбѣже | ʺWhen Satanael became deceived, he ran away,ʺ |
| 58: | и болезни вь прьст нà. члка положи. егоже азь сьтворих своима рꙋками, | ʺand he put illnesses into the soil of man, whom I created by my hands.ʺ |
| 59: | нь и ть хощеть частнь̀ бити, вь вто́ро́е мое пришастїе. | ʺBut he, too, will be participating in my Second Coming.ʺ |
| 60: | тогда црьствовати, хощеть сьмрьть на всакомь, диханїемь̀ по землѝ, на члвицех и скотехь, | ʺThen, death will rule over every living creature on the earth, on men and cattle (alike).ʺ |
| 61: | ꙗко то и все вьсеꙗ сатанаиль. своимь прѣстꙋпленїемь прьсть. жело сьмрьтное, | ʺFor that is what Satanael sowed by his transgression (into?) the soil, (as?) a deadly sting.ʺ |
| 62: | и власть сатанаилова. вь тмꙋ̀ кромешнꙋю, | ʺAnd the power of Satanael (will fall?) into the outer darkness.ʺ |
| 63: | и по томь̀ сьтвори дрꙋг свѐть бездани. | ʺAnd then He will create another world without bottom,ʺ |
| иже и бесмрьтни, и безьскочани. | ʺwhich (is) also without death and without end.ʺ | |
| 64: | и тꙋи бдѣть радость и животь | ʺAnd there will be joy and life.ʺ |
| 65: | бдѣть. праведници сь мною вь црьствоу̀ нбсеноу̀мь. | ʺThe righteous will be with me in the Kingdom of Heaven.ʺ |
| 66: | а законопрѣстꙋпници испадꙋть. | ʺBut the law-breakers will fall away.ʺ |
| 67: | и ꙋсадише глсь глюще. | And they (?) set up a voice, saying: |
| 68: | не чистиви не ꙋзреть слáве бжїе | ʺThe dishonorable will not see the glory of God.ʺ |
| 69: | и рекоше архистратизи. | And the archistrateges said: |
| 70: | елико хощешь́ можѣшь. | ʺYou can, as much as you will.ʺ |
| 71: | и паки рче гь | And again, the Lord said: |
| 72: | архистратиже гавриле. тебѣ глю | ʺO archstratege Gabriel, I say to you:ʺ |
| 73: | сьниди. кь донемꙋ́ мчтелꙋ̀. да вьзмеши ѿ него. бготканꙋ ѡ̈деждоу | ʺGo down to the low tormentor to take the divine-weaved clothes,ʺ |
| и свѣ̀тли. вѣнць скипетра архингльски. чиновь | ʺand the shiny wreath of command over archangelic ranks,ʺ | |
| и всꙋ́ слáвꙋ́. юже вьзеть ѿ мене. | ʺand all the glory, which he took from me.ʺ | |
| 74: | гавриѡ̈ рче | Gabriel said: |
| 75: | великаı сатанаиль́. по хитростиꙋ хитрости своеи. | ʺSatanael is great in cunning of cunnings (?)ʺ |
| 76: | преблазни множьство. англь твоих | ʺHe deceived a number of your angels.ʺ |
| 77: | тго рад бою се ити кь немꙋ. | ʺBecause of that, I fear to go to him.ʺ |
| 78: | влдко рче | The Ruler said: |
| 79: | послꙋ́шаи. повеленїе бжїе. | ʺObey the command of God!ʺ |
| 80: | гавриѡ̈ рче | Gabriel said: |
| 81: | влдко ꙗко ѿ вѣка. агломь не вѣдома, таина ꙋ таньствѣ | ʺO lord, as from the ages, the secret of the secrets (?) is unknown to the angels.ʺ |
| 82: | и дрь̀жиши вь бесмрьтнои рꙋцѐ бжства своего. | ʺAnd you hold (them?) in the immortal hand of your godhood.ʺ |
| 83: | и нечисти дхь своимь лꙋкаствомь. прѣделиваше кь намь. | ʺAnd the impure spirit was defeating us with his cunning.ʺ |
| 84: | и нна вьсприми не чьстивїе сили | ʺAnd now, see the dishonorable forces!ʺ |
| 85: | и вьздвиже се. | ʺAnd he rose (in revolt).ʺ |
| 86: | на дивно божьство беше бо. влдко | ʺHe was of (?) a strange divinity, o Lord.ʺ |
| 87: | дльжно его ѥс ·р· лакать | ʺHis length (?) is 100 cubits.ʺ |
| 88: | и ширина его ѥс ·н· лакьть | ʺAnd his width is 50 cubits.ʺ |
| 89: | и шиꙗ его ѥс ·вı· лакáть | ʺAnd his scruff is 12 cubits (long).ʺ |
| 90: | ꙋ́стà его ꙗко трьпеза, велика | ʺHis mouth (is) like a great table.ʺ |
| 91: | погледь ꙗко змиꙗ аспида. | ʺHis glance (is) like (that of a) viper snake.ʺ |
| 92: | и ·г· главе. | ʺAnd (he has) three heads.ʺ |
| 93: | сѣдить на немь сотона. и смрьть | ʺSatan and Death sit on him.ʺ |
| 94: | и кони наскрь̀жи щеть. зꙋби своими, | ʺAnd he would (?) gnaw horses with his teeth.ʺ |
| 95: | и тгѡ рад влдко ꙋстрашити ме хощеть, | ʺAnd because of that, o Lord, he would make me fear.ʺ |
| 96: | и тго рад прѣпослꙋшаю твою силꙋ да прости ме своего рабà, влдко | ʺAnd because of that, I (have to?) disobey your command,ʺ |
| 97: | рче ѥмоу̏ гь | The Lord said to him: |
| 98: | добри. рче гавриле. | ʺYou spoke well (?), Gabriel.ʺ |
| 99: | и прости же влдко. прѣдстателꙋ своемꙋ́ гаврилꙋ́. | And the Lord forgave His agent Gabriel. |
| 100: | и паки рче гь кь архистратигꙋ михаилꙋ́. | And again, the Lord said to archstratege Michael: |
| 101: | мирь̀ до мирà | ʺWorld until the world (?)ʺ |
| 102: | адáмь прьвѝ бисть синà моего единороднаго | ʺAdam was the first (creation?) of my single-born Son.ʺ |
| 103: | его црьствà. оу̏подоблꙋ. тебѣ̀ | ʺI make his kingdom to be like you (?)ʺ |
| 104: | глꙋ днсь | ʺ(Thus) I speak today.ʺ |
| 105: | сьниди кь донемꙋ̀. мчтлꙋ̀ | ʺGo down to the low tormentor!ʺ |
| 106: | и вьзми ми ѿ него бготканꙋ́ ѡ̈дѣждꙋ | ʺAnd take for Me from him the divine-weaved clothes,ʺ |
| и не ꙋведими вѣнць. скипетра архиггльски чиновь. | ʺand the un-withering wreath of command over archangelic ranks,ʺ | |
| иже вьзеть ѿ ме́не. | ʺwhich he took from Me!ʺ | |
| 107: | и сьтвори его не славна и не лепна. ꙗкоже подобае. | ʺAnd make him infamous and unseeming, as it is appropriate (for him)!ʺ |
| 108: | и да познають слꙋги его, ꙗко прѣблажени сꙋ́ть, | ʺAnd may his servants know, that they are blessed (?) !ʺ |
| 109: | рче архангль михàиль. | Archangel Michael said: |
| 110: | влдко всесиле ти вѣшь бо зло̀ꙋ́мнаго самого, ꙗко посрамити ме, хощеть | ʺO most powerful Lord, you know the evil-thinking one himself (?), that he will put me to shame.ʺ |
| 111: | на повеленїꙗ и блгости твое. препослꙋ́шати не могꙋ | ʺI cannot disobey your commands and blessings.ʺ |
| 112: | поити хощꙋ кь донемꙋ́. мчтлꙋ, | ʺI shall go to the low tormentor.ʺ |
| 113: | поспеши ме влдко | ʺHelp me, o Lord!ʺ |
| 114: | и прѣсвѣ̀тꙋ́ю деснѝцꙋ̀, постави на лице моемь. помощь мнѣ. | ʺAnd place your most holy right (hand) on my face (to) help me!ʺ |
| 115: | и млꙋ ти се влдко | ʺAnd I pray you, o Lord:ʺ |
| 116: | глсь. иже имамь глати да не прогневаеши се на ме | ʺMay you will not be angry with me (for) the words, which I shall say.ʺ |
| 117: | гь види бо всакие. хитрости. сатáнаѝль или его | ʺBecause the Lord sees all the cunning (of) Satanael, or him (?),ʺ |
| ꙗко вси англи его трепещꙋ да прѣльщꙋ̀ его разꙋ́мь. | ʺas all his angels, (who) tremble (?) to outwit (?) his mind.ʺ | |
| 118: | да аще не сьльжꙋ емꙋ̏. то и како прѣлащꙋ его. | ʺIf I would not lie to him, how would I deceive him?ʺ |
| 119: | гь рче емꙋ́ | The Lord said to him: |
| 120: | ти мои михàиле поиди кь донемꙋ мчтлꙋ. | ʺYou, my Michael, go to the low tormentor!ʺ |
| 121: | да ако рчешь емоу̏ льжꙋ. да бꙋде ти вь блговоленїе | ʺIf you tell him a lie, may it be in good will for you.ʺ |
| 122: | и тако ѡ̈плени его. | ʺAnd thus rob him!ʺ |
| 123: | и ꙗ ти хощꙋ пꙋстити сльнце да ти работаеть. | ʺAnd I will send you a sun to work for you.ʺ |
| 124: | и ражегꙋ его ·з· чести паче слнца сїꙗющаго иже бꙋдеть горь̀ | ʺAnd I will ignite it six times more than the shining sun, which will be above.ʺ |
| 125: | и хльми изгореть и землà ·н· лакьть. | ʺAnd the hills will burn, and the earth to 50 cubits (of depth).ʺ |
| 126: | исꙋщꙋ морà. двѐ чести | ʺI will make the sea dry twice.ʺ |
| 127: | и пролию гневь̀ мои. на сни противнїе. и законопрѣстꙋпници. | ʺAnd I will pour my anger on the sons of the Enemy and law-breakers.ʺ |
| 128: | михàило̀ рче | Michael said: |
| 129: | влдко да како могꙋ. ꙗ и горещинꙋ трьпети. и гневь блгостине твое. | ʺO Lord, how can I endure both the heat and the anger of your majesty?ʺ |
| 130: | гь рче емꙋ | The Lord said to him: |
| 131: | михаѝле не бои се ти. | ʺYou have no fear, Michael!ʺ |
| 132: | ꙗ ти пꙋщꙋ́ над врь̀х твои. ѡ̈блакь стꙋдень. | ʺI will send a cold cloud over you.ʺ |
| 133: | тогда михàило паде на нози. владичне | Then Michael fell to the feet of the Lord. |
| 134: | и прострѐ рꙋкꙋ свою. прѣсвѐтꙋ̀ | And He stretched His most holy hand. |
| 135: | и постави на главꙋ. михàиловꙋ̀ | And He placed (the hand) on the head of Michael, |
| ꙗко да сьжеть глàвꙋ́. антихрьсовꙋ | so that he would burn the head of the Antichrist, | |
| и всꙋ́ силꙋ его. | and all his power. | |
| 136: | тогда михаило блгослови се ꙋ влдке цра.. | Then, Michael was blessed by the Lord, the King. |
| 137: | и сьниде на ·в·ро нбо | And he descended to the 2nd heaven. |
| 138: | и зе сьмрь̀тосни мачь̀ свои. | And he took his deadly sword. |
| 139: | и наѡ̈стри его. | And he sharpened it. |
| 140: | и простри крили свои ·м· лакать вь ширинꙋ. | And he spread his wings (to) 40 cubits in width. |
| 141: | и потрꙋби. трꙋбою своею. | And he blew his trumpet. |
| 142: | и трепетнꙋ. криѡм своима | And he flapped his wing(s). |
| 143: | и поде сь нбсьних висоть. | And he descended from the heights of the heavens. |
| 144: | и ѿ сьхожденїꙗ его. и ѿ глас крилꙋ́ его растꙋ́пахꙋ се. нбса | And from his descent and the voice (sound?) of his wings, the heavens stepped away. |
| 145: | и ꙋ́боꙗ се землà | And the Earth became afraid. |
| 146: | и побеже. мо́рь | And the seas ran away. |
| 147: | и гльбине бездани потрьсоше се | And the bottomless depths were shaken. |
| 148: | и антихрьсть сдѣше на прѣстоли своемь. | And Antichrist sat on his throne. |
| 149: | и смете се | And he was shoved down. |
| 150: | и рче | And he said: |
| 151: | что би | ʺWhat was (that)?ʺ |
| 152: | ꙗко потресе се землà днсь. | ʺThe earth shoke so much today!ʺ |
| 153: | что ли ѥс | ʺWhat would that be?ʺ |
| 154: | ꙗко морь побеже. | ʺAs the sea ran (?)ʺ |
| 155: | егда ѥс гневь горнаго ѡца на нсь. еда на рать самь гредеть | ʺIf (?) there is an anger from the Highest Father, would He go alone to war?ʺ |
| 156: | и вьзревь лꙋкавимь своимь ѡ̈комь. нбо | And he looked upwards toward the sky with his evil eye, |
| и виде михаила сьходеща ꙗко стꙋпь. ѡ̈гньни | and he saw Michael descending as a pillar of fire. | |
| 157: | и позна его. | And he recognized him. |
| 158: | крепок | (He was) strong. |
| 159: | и многолѣпно лице его беше. | And his face was very beautiful. |
| 160: | и рче сатанàиль слꙋгамь своимь | And Satanael said to his servants: |
| 161: | михàило, ѿ нбсь гредеть. | ʺMichael comes from the heavens.ʺ |
| 162: | да не вемь или ѡ̈ добре или ѡ̈ злѝ. гредеть | ʺAnd I know not, whether he comes in good (intent), or bad.ʺ |
| 163: | на изидимо. вь сретенїе емꙋ́ да вдимо коимь деломь идѣть кь намь. | ʺSo, let us go to meet him, to see, by what works (?) is he going.ʺ |
| 164: | и подоше все силе его. вь срѣтенїе ми́хаи́лꙋ. | And all of his forces went to meet Michael. |
| 165: | и вдѣнїе еже вдѣше. сьмрь́тноносни мачь̀. | And (they saw?) a vision: the deadly sword. |
| 166: | и не смиꙗхꙋ пристꙋпити кь немꙋ. | And they were not daring to come closer to him. |
| 167: | ѿ глась крилꙋ его растꙋпахꙋ се нбса | The heavens were opening by the sound (lit. voice) of his wings. |
| 168: | и ѿпадахꙋ. лꙋкави бѣси ·г· паприща | And evil devils were falling (as far as) 3 shots. |
| 169: | и падахꙋ ница на зе́млю̀. | And they were falling on the ground down. |
| 170: | то же ꙋвиде лꙋкави сатанаиль ꙗко ѡ̈ злѣ идеть михàило кь немꙋ. | And evil Satanael saw that (as an evidence), that Michael goes with bad (intent) to him. |
| 171: | и зеть мачь̀ свои иѡгнѝ. и стрлѝ свое | And he took his fiery sword and his arrows. |
| 172: | и лꙋкь свои. напрѣже | And he strung his bow. |
| 173: | и ꙋготове с[е] ꙗко на брань на мѝхаила. | And he prepared against Michael as to a battle. |
| 174: | тогда михаило. слезе на камень. | Then, Michael descended on a rock. |
| 175: | и знамена землю̀ | And he made a sign to the earth. |
| 176: | и рче земли | And he said to the earth: |
| 177: | тако гле ти гь. | ʺThus spoke the Lord to you:ʺ |
| 178: | станемь добре. | ʺMay we stand well!ʺ |
| 179: | станемь сь страхомь. | ʺMay we stand in fear (of God)!ʺ |
| 180: | тогда землà и вса ꙗже на неи ꙋкротише с[е]. | Then, the earth and everything on it became silent. |
| 181: | и бисть тишина по веленїю михàиловꙋ. | And silence fell by the command of Michael. |
| 182: | и вдѣ нбса ꙗко ледь и слнце тамно и мсць блѣ̀дь | And he saw the heavens (looking) like an ice, and the dark sun, and the pale moon. |
| 183: | и та вса вдѣ ми́хаило̀. | And Michael saw all of that. |
| 184: | и рче льжꙋ похвáли́ти его. | And he said a lie to praise him. |
| 185: | и гле | And he said: |
| 186: | ѡ̈ синѐ вдѣхь дела твоа добра и твоꙗ хитрости и сили твое велике. | ʺO son, I saw your good works, and your cunning, and your great forces.ʺ |
| 187: | и дѣла твоꙗ добро сьтворена. ѿ вишнаго ѡ̈ца. | ʺAnd your works are better (?) made than (those) of the Highest Father.ʺ |

| 196: | а ти стрѣли и мачь готовиши на ме. | ʺAnd you prepare arrows and a sword against me?!ʺ |

| 214: | и повеле поставити михаилà на ·в·ромь прѣстоле | And he commanded to place Michael on a second throne. |
| 215: | сдѣщим нима. и дрьжещима за рꙋке. | As they were sitting and holding hands, |
| и повеленїемь бжимь. ѿврьзе се слнцꙋ врата. | by the command of God, the gates of sun opened. | |
| 216: | и пригрїꙗ сльнцѐ горѣще и жегомо. | And the sun gave more warmth, burning and roasting. |
| 217: | и почеше горѣти хль̀ми, | And it began to burn hills. |
| 218: | и землꙗ̀ задими се зѣ̀ло. и нбса антихрьстова. | And the land was filled with smoke, and the heavens of Antichrist (too). |
| 219: | и задимише с[е] все слꙋ̀ге его ѿ горѣнїа. слнчанаго | And all his servants were filled with smoke by the burning of the sun. |
| 220: | лежахꙋ ꙗко мрьтви на землѝ. | They were lying on the ground as dead. |
| 221: | и антихрьсь смете се, | And Antichrist was shoved down. |
| 222: | на михàила рад не смеше поведети горѣнїꙗ. | He did not dare to tell Michael (about) the burning (?) |
| 223: | на ссбѣ̀ михàило видеше знаменїе | Michael saw a sign in the heavens. |
| 224: | покриваше его. ѡ̈блакомь. не вдимо | It was covering him by an invisible cloud. |
| 225: | и рче михаи́ло | And Michael said: |
| 226: | ѡ̈ сне что да сьтворимо | ʺO son (?), what should we do?ʺ |
| 227: | ꙗко слнце горꙋће ѥс. и жегꙋще нсь | ʺFor the sun is hot and burning us.ʺ |
| 228: | и землꙗ̀ дими се. ѿ вѣликаго горѣнїа. | ʺAnd the land is smoking by the great burn.ʺ |
| 229: | и чиновѐ твои лежеть́. ꙗко мрь́тви на землѝ. | ʺAnd your forces lay as dead on the ground.ʺ |
| 230: | да повели что да сьтворимо. да не побнемо | ʺCommand something, to do, so that we would not die!ʺ |
| 231: | тогда сатанаиль рче. | Then, Satanael said: |
| 232: | не бои се михаиле. | ʺHave no fear, Michael!ʺ |
| 233: | ѥси ли вдѣѡ̈ коею хитростїю азь живꙋ́. и англьскїе сили мое, | ʺHave you seen, by what kind of cunning I and my angelic forces live?ʺ |
| 234: | не бои се ѿ ѡгнà сего | ʺHave no fear of that fire!ʺ |
| 235: | и ꙋмь мои | ʺ(You have seen?) my mind.ʺ |
| 236: | и сила моꙗ | ʺAnd (you have seen?) my power.ʺ |
| 237: | михаило рче | Michael said: |
| 238: | ти сильнь ѥси | ʺYou are powerful.ʺ |
| 239: | не боиши се, | ʺYou have no fear.ʺ |
| 240: | нꙋ азь горѣщи сїе не могꙋ трьпети. | ʺBut I cannot endure this heat.ʺ |
| 241: | не вдиши ли сиѡне | ʺDon't you see, o powerful one?ʺ |
| 242: | ѥрѐ ѡ̈ставих, горнаго ѡ̈ца | ʺFor I left the Highest Father.ʺ |
| 243: | и придох, к тебѣ | ʺAnd I came to you.ʺ |
| 244: | и тго рад палит ме ѡгнь̀. | ʺAnd that is why the fire is burning me.ʺ |
| 245: | сатанаиль рче кь михàилꙋ | Satanael said to Michael: |
| 246: | не бои се нища, | ʺHave no fear of anything!ʺ |
| 247: | знамь езе́ро велико | ʺI know a big lake.ʺ |
| 248: | и поћи ћемо кь немꙋ да се ѡ̈кꙋ́племо. да примимо хладь̀ дондеже заће слнце. | ʺAnd we will go to it to bathe, to calm ourselves, until the sun sets.ʺ |
| 249: | и поћимо на истокь. | ʺAnd (then) we will go to the East.ʺ |
| 250: | и затвори ћемо слнцꙋ врата. да не можеть нас сїати. | ʺAnd we will close the gates of sun, so that it cannot shine (on) us.ʺ |
| 251: | слишавше михаилѡ̈ ѡ̈ езери и рад бис | As Michael heard about the lake, he became glad. |
| 252: | ерѐ хотеше ѡ̈пленити его | For he was going to rob him. |
| 253: | и рче емꙋ́. | And he said to him: |
| 254: | сӥѡ̈нѐ поидимо на езе́ро. | ʺO powerful one, let us go to the lake!ʺ |
| 255: | тогда сатанаиль. слꙋгмь своимь | Then Satanael (said) to his servants: |
| 256: | стризите михàила | ʺWatch Michael!ʺ |
| 257: | и вьпазите мно̀го. | ʺAnd guard (him) well!ʺ |
| 258: | еда како лꙋкаствомь. или льжїю вьзметь блгодаренїе ѿ мне | ʺMay he does not take, by intrigues or lies, the gratitude (?) from me,ʺ |
| и сьтворить мене. не лепа и не слàвнà. | ʺand (may he does not) make me (appear) not pretty and not glorious!ʺ | |

| 262: | и пленень ѥс на мѝхаила и семь. | ʺAnd: He is robbed (by?) Michael.ʺ |
| 263: | азь есмь гь | ʺI am the lord!ʺ |
| 264: | да смѐть никто. лꙋкаво сьтворити. | ʺMay no one dares to do (something) evil (to me)!ʺ |
| 265: | и вьзмь слꙋ̀ги свое и подоше, на езеро | And, having taken his servants, they went to the lake. |
| 266: | и бесѣдовахꙋ ѡ̈ бгꙋ. како хоте затворити пꙋ́ть слнцꙋ́. | And they discussed about God, how they will close the way for the sun. |
| 267: | и рче михàило кь антихрь̀стꙋ́ | And Michael said to Antichrist: |
| 268: | гдне поспешимо се за слнца. | ʺO lord, (let us) haste for (?) the sun!ʺ |
| 269: | а по том что хощемо сьтворити вь скоре. | ʺAnd what we would do afterwards?ʺ |
| 270: | и тогда идоста на поспех, до езѐра | And they went in haste towards the lake. |
| 271: | и такои рче сатанаиль кь михаи́лꙋ | And thus spoke Satanael to Michael: |
| 272: | вьлѣзи да примиши хлáдь. | ʺGo in to receive coolness!ʺ |
| 273: | азь же ти послꙋ̀жꙋ | ʺAnd I will serve you.ʺ |
| 274: | ꙗко драгь ми ѥси. | ʺBecause you are dear to me.ʺ |
| 275: | рче михàилà | Michael said: |
| 276: | н есть. рабь̀ боли гдна своего. | ʺA servant is not greater than his lord.ʺ |
| 277: | ти на нбсѥхь прьви ѥси биль́. | ʺYou were the first in heavens.ʺ |
| 278: | ти ꙋбо вь гль̀бини прь̀ви хощешь бити. | ʺSo, you will be the first in depths.ʺ |
| 279: | азь бо гль̀бини езерꙋ не знамь. | ʺFor I don't know the depth(s) of the lake.ʺ |
| 280: | и бою се мрьскога звѣ̀ра и змїꙗ егоже ѿць сазда. | ʺAnd I fear the filthy animal, and the dragon, whom the Father created.ʺ |
| 281: | на ти силань ѥсѝ | ʺBut you are strong.ʺ |
| 282: | и змїꙗ ꙋкротиши сило̀ю своею̀. | ʺAnd you will tame the dragon by your power.ʺ |
| 283: | и тогда азь влѣзи | ʺAnd then, I will enter.ʺ |
| 284: | мене ж[е] паче подобаеть. послꙋжити тебѣ. | ʺAnd it is more appropriate for me to serve you.ʺ |
| 285: | тогда сатанаиль сьнеть ѡ̈дѣждоу свою и вѣнць | Then, Satanael put off his clothes, and the wreath, |
| и всꙋ̀ слàвꙋ. юже беше приель ѿ англь бжих, | and all the glory he had received from the angels of God. | |
| 286: | и дасть михаѝлꙋ вь рꙋ́це | And he gave (it) to Michael to hands. |
| 287: | и рче емꙋ́ михàилꙋ́. | And he said to Michael: |
| 288: | да се не сьблазниши ѡ̈ мнѣ̀. | ʺMay you are not deceived about me!ʺ |
| 289: | и тогда михаило рче кь немꙋ. | Then, Michael said to him: |
| 290: | тако ми силѐ твое. | ʺThus (is) to me your power.ʺ |
| 291: | не имаши лꙋкаствà вь мене. | ʺYou have no evil cunning in me.ʺ |
| 292: | и паки рче сатанаиль ѡ̈тае слꙋгамь своимь. | And again, Satanael secretly spoke to his servants: |
| 293: | стрь̀зите михáила тврь̀до. | ʺGuard Michael well!ʺ |
| 294: | и вьлезе кꙋпати се. вь езе́ро | And he entered the lake to bathe. |
| 295: | и вьлезь̀ и паки изиде. | And having entered, he went out again. |
| 296: | и вдѣ михаилà имꙋщаго ѡчи́ма нбо. и готовеща се. | And he saw Michael reaching (?) the heavens with eyes and preparing himself. |
| 297: | и рче ѥмꙋ | And he said to him: |
| 298: | михàиле вьсе кльнеши ми се сило̀ю моею. | ʺO Michael, you always swear to me by my power.ʺ |
| 299: | на закль̀ни ми се вь вишнимь ѡ̈цемь да бдꙋ, безпечалань̀. | ʺSo swear by the Highest Father, so that I will have no worries!ʺ |
| 300: | вдѣ михàиль̀ ꙗко не може сьль̀гати. лꙋ́каствꙋ̀ его | Michael saw, that he could not deceive his evil cunning. |
| 301: | и паки рче | And again, he said: |
| 302: | тако ми силѐ твое влдко. и силе вь вишнаго ѿца | ʺThus (is) to me your power and the power of (?) the Highest Father.ʺ |
| 303: | н ѣсть̀ люкаства. вь мнѣ̀. | ʺThere is no evil cunning in me.ʺ |
| 304: | тогда лꙋкави рче | Then the evil one said: |
| 305: | н ѣсть лꙋ̀каствà. вь михàилꙋ̀ | ʺThere is no evil cunning in Michael.ʺ |
| 306: | и ѿложи се скрь̀би и страх. | And he put off all the worries and fear. |
| 307: | и трепетнꙋ̀ не чсьтивеми криѡ̈ма своима. | And he waved with his dishonorable wings. |
| 308: | и сьниде вь прѣсподна езерꙋ̀ | And he descended into the deepest (depths) of the lake. |
| 309: | и глсь и громь бьїс вь водах. ѿ сьхожденїа лꙋкаваго. | And a voice (?) and thunder came up in the waters from the descent of the evil one. |
| 310: | и сьтрь множьство рибь и звѣри земль̀ниих и морьских. | And it killed many fish and animals of the earth and the sea. |
| 311: | и ꙋслѝша змь̀и глсь грома великь̀ | And the dragon heard the mighty voice of the thunder. |
| 312: | и стоещꙋ сатанаилꙋ́ вь прѣсподнех гль̀бинах. и хвати се сь нимь. | And as Satanael stood in the deepest depths, (the dragon) grasped him (to fight). |
| 313: | и рче емꙋ змь̀и | And the dragon said to him: |
| 314: | ннꙗ сьтрьль ѥси все живине морь̀ске. | ʺNow you have killed all the lifeforms of the sea.ʺ |
| 315: | нь поди ва гльбини до конца гльбине. | ʺBut come to the depths, to the end of the depths!ʺ |
| 316: | ере же исках. и ѿбрѣтох | (Satanael said:) ʺFor what I sought, I found.ʺ |
| 317: | и сьнити хощꙋ̀ до конца гль̀бини. | ʺAnd I shall descend into the end of the depths.ʺ |
| 318: | тогда михàило́ помли се гꙋ | Then, Michael prayed to the Lord: |
| 319: | глꙋ́ ти. вседрьжителꙋ и вѣчни црꙋ. иже ѡгни́мь чино̀мь сьздателꙋ́. и не видимимь сило̀мь̀ ꙋправителꙋ́ | ʺI speak to you, o Ruler of All and Eternal King, the Creator of the Fiery Hosts, and Commander of Unseen Forces,ʺ |
| егоже ѿ члвка. кь никтож[е] нигде не вдимо | ʺ(the one), who has not been seen (?) by anyone from human(s) anywhere!ʺ | |
| 320: | бꙋ́ди мнѣ̀. помощникь архàггꙋ твоемꙋ, | ʺBe my helper, for your archangel!ʺ |
| 321: | ти ꙋбо̀ црꙋ своимь хотенїемь. ни звав же емꙋ ꙋчителꙋ на землꙋ̀ | ʺFor you, o King, by your will did not ask (him?) to be a teacher on the earth (?)ʺ |
| 322: | тьи ꙋ́бо влдко всачьскимь оу̏слиши ме вь сьи чсь. | ʺYou, o Lord, by all means (?) hear me at this time!ʺ |
| 323: | и прѣклони гль̀бинꙋ сїю | ʺAnd turn over these depths!ʺ |
| 324: | преклони не нбса. | ʺTurn over the heavens!ʺ |
| 325: | и спꙋсти прѣстꙋю десницꙋ свою̀ влдко. да не ѡ̈бимить мне лꙋкави сь беси своими. | ʺAnd loose your most holy right hand (over me), o Lord, so that the Evil One with his devils will not surround (?) me!ʺ |
| 326: | нь косни се ѡ̈рꙋ́жно его ꙗко да не похвали се ѡ̈ арханглѣ̀ твоимь. | ʺBut seize him by arms (?), so that he will not boast about your archangel!ʺ |
| 327: | и помли все михàѝло. | And (for this?) all Michael prayed. |
| 328: | и сьтвори знаменїе вь езѐри стрàшно. ꙋ име нбснаго ѡ̈ца. | And he made a terrible sign in the name of the Highest Father in the lake. |
| 329: | и затврьди его. ледомь | And he made it hard with ice. |
| 330: | и трепетнꙋ криѡ̈мь своим. | And he waved his wing(s). |
| 331: | и доде до прь̀вих нбсь | And he came to the first heaven. |
| 332: | и тꙋ́и срѐте ѥго. гь бь | And here, Lord God met him. |
| 333: | и ѡ̈брадова се ѡ немь | And He rejoiced about him. |
| 334: | и рче | And He said: |
| 335: | радꙋи се михáиве. | ʺRejoice, o Michael!ʺ |
| 336: | приносе свое ньсвомꙋ́. | ʺYou brought to the (rightful owner what is?) one's.ʺ |
| 337: | и арханглы̏ вьзꙋ́пише глсомь великимь. | And the archangels began to sing with a strong voice. |
| 338: | и рче | And (Michael?) said: |
| 339: | Твоꙗ ѿ твоих тебѣ. приносите с[е] ѿ всех и за вас. | ʺYours from yours is being brought to you, from all, and for all.ʺ |
| 340: | и ꙋведше все силе ꙗко ми́хаило̀. приде | And all the forces (of God) learned, that Michael came (back). |
| 341: | и вьзꙋ́пише еди́нимь глсомь. | And they exclaimed in one voice. |
| 342: | тебѣ поем | ʺWe sing to you!ʺ |
| 343: | тебѐ блгосвимь. влдко | ʺWe praise you, o Lord!ʺ |
| 344: | слáвим те блгосвеще. | ʺWe glorify you, o Gospel-giver!ʺ |
| 345: | блгодарим те влдко вседрьжитлꙋ̀. | ʺWe thank you, o Lord, Ruler of All!ʺ |
| 346: | млим ти се бе ншь. | ʺWe pray to you, o our God!ʺ |
| 347: | и вьздаши хвàлꙋ́ и вѣселїе михàилꙋ́ и славꙋ велїю землà же и морѐ. | ʺAnd you, land and the sea, shall give praise and joy to Michael, and great glory!ʺ |
| 348: | и безна поколеба се. | And the abyss trembled. |
| 349: | и тꙋи славꙋ. оу̏слѝша сатанаиль. прѣсподнѐ гль̀бинѐ. | And Satanael heard the glory (from the?) deepest depths. |
| 350: | и ꙋвдѣ ꙗко ѡ̈плѣ̀нень бы̏с | And he understood, that he was robbed. |
| 351: | и смете се зѣ̀ло | And he cast himself a lot. |
| 352: | и борил се [беше] ·г· чсы̏. | And he was fighting for three hours. |
| 353: | и тогда ѿринꙋ змьа ѿ сѣбѣ. | And then, he shoved the dragon off himself. |
| 354: | и миль ·д· изиде на исхо̀дь езе́ра | And he went for 4 miles to the exit (?) of the lake. |
| 355: | и ѡ̈брете знаминїе. нбснаго | And he found the sign of the heavenly (Father?). |
| 356: | и ꙋбоѣ се. | And he became afraid. |
| 357: | и вьзꙋпѝ глсомь великим | And he exclaimed with a great voice. |
| 358: | и рче. | And he said: |
| 359: | г.де сте аггли мои | ʺWhere are you, o my angels?ʺ |
| 360: | и не бис глас ѿ них. ни слѝшанїа | And there was no voice nor hearing from them. |
| 361: | сьтрь ѡбоих беше мѝхàило нь ѡ̈шьстию своемь̀ | Michael destroyed both (?) at his departure. |
| 362: | и вдѣвши лꙋкави, сатанаило ꙗко вьзбранить емꙋ́ знаменїе гсне. | And the evil Satanael saw (?), that a sign of the Lord bars him (to go out of the lake): |
| 363: | изьшьѡ̈ беше изь езерà тог камен вѣликь | A great stone had come out of the lake. |
| 364: | дрьжнь̀ его ·с· лакьть | Its length (was) 200 cubits. |
| 365: | и ширнà его ·р· лакьть | And its width (was) 100 cubits. |
| 366: | ѡнь же ꙋдáри проно́рливи сатанаиль. вь тврь̀дь камень безаконимь своимь. врьхомь | And (trying to fly out) the evil Satanael crushed into the hard stone with his lawless top (of the head). |
| 367: | и ѿринꙋ ѿ езе́ра камен ·е· пьприщь́ ѿ места. | And he threw the stone from the lake 5 shots away. |
| 368: | беше ж[е] горà при езе́ре том. | There was a mountain next to the lake. |
| 369: | и нарче се гора та. тадера и до сег дне. | And the mountain is called Tatra (?) even today. |
| 370: | изиде лꙋкàви сатанаиль | Evil Satanael came out. |
| 371: | и ѡ̈брѣте силѐ свое избѝене лежеще. ꙗко мрь̀тви | And he found his forces laying slaughtered as dead. |
| 372: | и вьзꙋпи гле | And he cried aloud, saying: |
| 373: | ꙋви мнѣ̀. заблꙋ́дившомꙋ́ | ʺWoe to me, having went astray!ʺ |
| 374: | все силѐ и надеждꙋ. погꙋбих | ʺI lost all my forces and hope!ʺ |
| 375: | и поскрь̀жита зꙋ́би своим. | And he (?) gnashed with his teeth. |
| 376: | и трѣпетнꙋ криѡм своим. | And he flapped his wing(s). |
| 377: | и стижна ·г·емь нбсе | And he reached the third heaven. |
| 378: | и ꙋхвати его. за стꙋпало и за деснꙋ́ рꙋкꙋ̀. лꙋквою своею десницо̀ю. | And he seized him by his foot and right hand with his evil right hand. |
| 379: | и ꙋхити мѝхàилà за стꙋпало. | And he seized Michael by foot. |
| 380: | и ꙋ́хвáташе его за стꙋю и ботканꙋ ѡ̈деждꙋ | And he was seizing him by the holy and divine-woven clothes. |
| 381: | тогда михаило̀ вьзꙋпи глсомь великимь, | Then, Michael cried with a great voice. |
| 382: | и рче | And he said: |
| 383: | призри влдко на своего̀. раба | ʺHelp, o Lord, your servant!ʺ |
| 384: | и покри и сьхрани. прѣдстателꙋ своемꙋ. | ʺAnd cover and protect your agent!ʺ |
| 385: | и прострѝ рꙋ́кꙋ свою | ʺAnd stretch your hand!ʺ |
| 386: | примих скрьбь ѿ лꙋкаваго. | ʺI received worry from the Evil One.ʺ |
| 387: | и ꙋхити ме за шꙋю ногꙋ́ | ʺHe seized me by the left leg.ʺ |
| 388: | и поимлет ме, за бжствнꙋ ѡ̈деждꙋ. | ʺAnd he seized me by the divine(-woven) clothes.ʺ |

| 391: | на где не ѡ̈стави мне. раба своего | ʺSo, o Lord, do not leave me, your servant!ʺ |
| 392: | погинꙋти хощꙋ. | ʺ(Else) I will perish!ʺ |
| 393: | вь вишни иже влдка рче глсомь великим. | The Lord, who (is) in the Heights, said with a great voice: |
| 394: | михàилѐ не бои́ се | ʺO Michael, have no fear!ʺ |
| 395: | измѝ мачь́ свои́. | ʺTake your sword!ʺ |
| 396: | и ꙋ́дри его по сꙋщем. врьхꙋ́ | ʺAnd strike him on the top (of the head)!ʺ |
| 397: | и ѿними мꙋ силꙋ́ его. | ʺAnd take away his power!ʺ |
| 398: | и порази емꙋ́ вдѣнїе зрака. | ʺAnd crush his capability of (?) sight!ʺ |
| 399: | тагда михáило рче | Then, Michael said: |
| 400: | ги повели ми твоꙗ. дрьжа и твоꙗ̀ млсть. | ʺO Lord, may your authority (?) and your grace commands meʺ |
| да до конца погꙋ́блꙋ̏ его. да васегда не смѣюща нсь. | ʺto destroy him for once, so that he will not dare (deny?) us anymore!ʺ | |
| 401: | тогда рче емꙋ гь | Then the Lord said to him: |
| 402: | не тако. михàиле | ʺNot so, o Michael!ʺ |
| 403: | нь ꙗко рекох ти | ʺBut (do) as I told you!ʺ |
| 404: | ·вı· сили дах емꙋ прѣжде | ʺI have given him 12 powers before.ʺ |
| 405: | ѿними ѿ него ·е· силь̀ | ʺTake from him 5 powers!ʺ |
| 406: | а стави емꙋ́ ·з· силь̀ | ʺAnd leave him 7 powers!ʺ |
| 407: | тогда михàило изе сьмрь́тосни мачь | Then, Michael took the deadly sword. |
| 408: | и ꙋдри его. прѣзь врхь | And he struck him on the top (of the head). |
| 409: | и ѿпаде лꙋ́кави | And the Evil One fell away. |
| 410: | и не може порноливи сатанаиль. | And the evil Satanael could not (continue to fight?) |
| 411: | и ѿиде вь прѣиспо̀днꙋ́ю. посрамлѐнь и ѡ̈бнàжень. и ѡ̈пленень ꙗкоже пдобаше. | And he went to the deepest (depths) ashamed, and stripped, and robbed, as it was appropriate (for him). |
| 412: | михàило̀ прѣда бготканꙋ́. ѡдеждꙋ́ и не ꙋ́ведаеми вѣнць. скипетрà. архагльскихь чиновь | Michael gave over the divine-woven clothes and the unwithering wreath of command over archangelic ranks. |
| 413: | и прѣдасть вь рꙋцѣ бжи. | And he gave (it) over to God's hands. |
| 414: | тако сьтвори михаило. ꙗко не дас ѥмꙋ гь. погꙋ́бити сатанàила до концà | Thus Michael did, as the Lord did not allow him to finally destroy Satanael. |
| 415: | и прихождахꙋ́ кь архистратигꙋ́ михàилꙋ. все чинове | And there were coming to Archstratege Michael all the ranks (of angels), |
| прьвие власти. и прѣстоли и гьстивиꙗ | the Archons, the Powers, and Thrones, and Dominions, | |
| херовим. и сарахими мнго.ꚙчи́та и животна и чѐтвороконьчьньꙗ̀. | the Cherubim and the many-eyed Seraphim, and Living Ones, and the Four-Armed, | |
| и многоѡ̈бразна легиѡнѝ. аггльсци | and angelic legions of many varieties. | |
| 416: | и все силе горнаго ерꙋ́салѝма прихождахꙋ. на вдѣнїе ми́хаилово. ꙗко да вдѣть во́инакà | And all the forces of the Heavenly Jerusalem were coming to see Michael, to see the hero. |
| 417: | и ѡ̈брадовахꙋ се. приходеща | And they rejoiced at coming (of the hero). |
| 418: | и зрѣхꙋ его поникла лицемь его ꙗко зноꙗно. | And they saw him with the face down, as burnt. |
| 419: | и вьздаше ѥмꙋ хвàлꙋ̀ и радость велїю. | And they gave him great praise and joy. |
| 420: | Бꙋ ншемꙋ́ слàвà. вь вѣкы | Glory (be) to our God forever! |
