2:	Житıе Прпд҃бныѧ Матẽрẽ Нãшеѧ Пãрãскẽвıĩ.	[Title] Life of our Reverend Mother Parascheva
3:	Въ земли сербской, близъ града Каликрáтıѧ, бѣ ве́сь нарицáемаѧ Є́пıватъ,	In the land of Serbia, next to the city of Kallikratia, there was a village called Epibates
4:	в͛ то́й Ве́си роди́ сѧ ст҃áѧ и̂ Прпд҃бнаѧ Параске́вїа, ѿ роди́телей бл҃го-чести́выхъ,	in that village, the holy reverend Parascheve was born to pious parents
	ходѧ́щихъ во всѣ́хъ зáпѡвѣдехъ Бж҃ıихъ не ꙋкло́нно,	following all the Divine commands without going astray
	мл͒тинѧми и̂ бл҃готворе́н͛ми всю свою̀ оꙋ̂кра-шáющих͛ жи́знь:	making their lives beautiful by alms and good deeds
5:	҆и́ же и̂ сı́ю воспитáша чс҃тꙋю Голꙋбı́цꙋ Хв҃ꙋ в͛ подо́бнѣхъ нрáвѣхъ,	and they raised this good, pure dove of Christ in good manners
6:	и̂ зáконꙋ Бж҃ıю до́брѣ тꙋ наказáвше,	and after they taught her the Divine Law well
	в͛ Нб͒ныѧ прейдѡ́ша о̂би́тели,	they went over to the heavenly dwellings
	наслѣдницꙋ до́мꙋ ѡ̂стáвл͛ше Параске́вїю съ Брáтомъ Єѵѳи́мїемъ,	leaving Petka as the heiress to their house behind, together with (her) brother Euthymius
	҆и́ же послѣ́жде Єп͒пъ Мади́тꙋ бысть,	who afterwards became the bishop of Madit
7:	и̂ мнѡга и̂ пре-слáвна сотворѝ тáмѡ чꙋдесà в͛ животѣ̀ свое́мъ и̂ по- преставле́нїи.	and he did there many famous miracles
8:	Прпдбнаѧ оꙋ̂бѡ по сме́рти рѡди́телей своих, тѣ́сный и̂ приско́рбный пꙋ́ть начáть проходи́ти,	as the Reverend (Petka) sent her parents to the God well
9:	и̂ ст҃ых͛ оꙋ̂се́рдно возревновà жи́тїю,	and she staunchly desired to live as an apostle
	по́стом͛ и̂ бде́нїем͛ оꙋ̂мерщвлѧ́ѧ тѣ́ло своѐ,	conquering the (desires of the?) body by fasting and staying awake, by hardships and laying on the ground
	и̂ порабощáѧ ҆ѐ дх҃ови.	and subduing it to the spirit
10:	ѿ сю́дꙋ и̂ Бж͒тве́нным разже́гши сѧ желáнїем͛,	from now on, being engulfed by her divine desire
	не стерпѣ на мнѡ́зѣ в͛ многомѧтежном мı́рѣ жи́ти,	she couldn't torment herself anymore by living in this troubled world
11:	но всѧ̀ ѡ̂стáвл͛ши бѣ́гꙋ ꙗт сѧ,	and, leaving everything behind, began to run away (ʺtook a runʺ)
12:	и̂ пꙋсты́ню дости́гши, равно ҆áгг҃лное провождáше жи́тїе,	and, as she reached the desert, she lived an equally angelic life there
	Бго҃ви́дца Илїю и̂ Іѡáнна Кр͒ти́телѧ подражáѧ:	imitating the life of Prophet Eliah and John the Baptist
	бы́лїе то́чїю пꙋсты́нное в͛кꙋшáющи,	eating only the desert herbs
	и̂ сегѡ̀ ѕѣ́ло мáло:	and even of that only a bit
13:	стꙋ́денїю же и̂ ѕно́ем͛ бѣ и̂стаевáѧ,	she was exposed to cold and heat as well
14:	и̂ къ е̂ди́номꙋ то́чїю в͛зирáше спс҃тѝ могꙋ́щемꙋ ѿ малодꙋ́шїѧ и̂ бꙋ́рѧ смиренныѧ срдцемъ.	and she looked towards the only one capable of saving from ʺthe tempest and the stormʺ
15:	кто ҆ꙋ́бѡ тоѧ̀ ҆и́ же тогдà и̂сповѣ́ст͛ слезный и̂сто́чникъ?	for who would (be able to) tell of that well of tears?
16:	стенáнїа же чáстаѧ и̂ не престáемаѧ кто скáжетъ?	and who tells of (her) frequent and endless moanings
17:	ни́зꙋлѣгáнїѧ и̂ оꙋ̂мерщвле́нїѧ всегдáшнаѧ кто и̂зрече́тъ?	who will tell of her prostrations and her torment?
18:	не бѣ́ бѡ тáмѡ ҆и́ногѡ когѡ̀, всѧ та сматрѧ́ти могꙋ́щаго, ҆ꙗ́ же творѧ́ше Прпдбнаѧ: то́чїю все видѧ́щее ҆о́ко бж҃ıе.	for there was no one able to see her but only that all-seeing eye (of God)
19:	не бѣ̀ то́й тáмо попече́нїѧ о̂ сꙋстѣ̀ мı́рстѣй, то́чїю о̂ дш҃е́вномъ о̂чище́нїи, и̂ ѡ̂ ѿвѣ́тѣ бꙋ́дꙋщагѡ сꙋ́да, о̂ стрѣте́нїи Женихо́вѣ:	there was no care for worldly vanities (?), only about purifying (her) soul, about the answers at the Last Judgement, for the meeting with the Bridegroom
	тебѐ жени́ше мой и̂щꙋ̀ гл҃ющи:	saying: ʺyou, o my bridegroom, do I wantʺ
	и̂ то̀ ҆е́ же в͛ Пѣ́снех Пѣ́снїй, вы́нꙋ въ ҆ꙋ́мѣ носѧ́щи:	and also that (verse) in the Song (of the songs), which she always beared in her mind
21:	Возвѣсти́те ми е̂гѡ́ же возлюбѝ дш҃à моѧ̀.	ʺtell me about him, whom my soul lovesʺ
22:	о̂ се́мъ болѣзновáше, кáкѡ оꙋ̂краси́т͛ свѣти́лник свой,	she worried often about how to make her lamp prettily
	и̂ с͛ мдрими дв҃ами и̂зыйдетъ въ стрѣте́нїе Женихꙋ̀,	how she goes to meet the Bridegroom
	и̂ оꙋ̂слы́шит͛ слáдкїй гласъ е̂гѡ̀,	how she'll notice the sweet voice of her Bridegroom
	и̂ наслади́т сѧ зрѣ́нїѧ красоты̀ е̂гѡ̀,	how she'll enjoy his beauty
23:	о̂ сем то́чїю печáше сѧ гл҃ющи:	she cared only for this, saying:
24:	Когдà прїйдꙋ̀ и̂ ꙗ̂влю́ сѧ лицꙋ̀ Бж҃ıю.	ʺwhen can I go and meet the God?ʺ
25:	тáкѡ ҆е́й живꙋ́щей в͛ пꙋстынѣ, лꙋкáвый врагъ завидѧ́ше добродѣ́телем е̂ѧ̀,	as she lived thus in the desert, the evil enemy was jealous of her virtues
26:	и̂ тщáше сѧ мечтáнїами и̂ привидѣ́нїами ꙋ̂страши́ти ю̂:	and he tried to scare her by dreams and apparitions
27:	множи́цею бѡ в͛ разли́чныа ѕвѣ́ры себѐ претвори́въ на ст҃ꙋ́ю оꙋ̂стре-млѧ́ше сѧ, да бы̀ ҆е́й спо́нꙋ ѿтече́нїа возмо́гл͛ сотвори́ти:	and, turning himself often to various beasts, he charged against the saint, trying to make her to leave (the desert)
28:	но до́браа невѣ́ста Хв҃а Параске́вїѧ, Вы́шнѧгѡ положѝ прибѣ́жище себѣ̀,	but the good Petka ʺmade the Most High her dwellingʺ
29:	и̂ е̂гѡ̀ по́мощїю, Кр͒тà же ст҃áгѡ знáменїем͛, врагѝ прогонѧ́ше,	and by His help, as well as by the sign of Holy Cross, she routed all enemies
30:	и̂ всѧ̀ ко́зни е̂гѡ̀ ҆ꙗ́коже нѣ́кꙋю паꙋчи́нꙋ растерзà и̂ до концà низложѝ,	and she broke and laid low all the enemy machinations as a spider web
31:	в͛ же́нском бо ҆е́стс҃твѣ, мꙋ́жескїй стѧжáвши рáзꙋмъ, áкоже Дв҃и́дъ Голїáда, тáко о̂нà дїáвола побѣдѝ.	thus, having gained the manly cunning in the nature of a woman, she defeated the Devil, as David (once defeated) Goliath
32:	си́цевыми по́дви-гами и̂ добродѣ́телным͛ жи́тїем͛ свою̀ ꙋ̂краси́вши дш҃ꙋ, бысть Хрс҃тꙋ̀ возлюбле́ннаѧ невѣ́ста, ҆ꙗ́ко и̂сполни́ти сѧ сло́вꙋ Проро́ческомꙋ:	by such deeds and virtuous life she became the beloved bride of the Christ, as to fulfill the prophecy:
33:	Вожделѣ́етъ Цр҃ь добротѣ̀ твое́й.	ʺLet the king be enthralled by your beautyʺ
34:	и̂бѡ всели́ сѧ в͛ ню съ Ѿц҃е́м͛ и̂ ст҃ы́м͛ Дх҃ом͛,	for He settled in her with the Father and the Holy Spirit
35:	и̂ почивáше в͛ не́й ҆ꙗ́кѡже въ Црк҃вѣ ст҃ѣ́й свое́й,	and He dwelt in her as in His holy Church
36:	в҆о и́стиннꙋ бѡ ст҃áѧ Параске́вїѧ сотвори́ сѧ Цр҃ковъ Бг҃а живáгѡ, дш҃ꙋ и̂ тѣ́ло соблю́дши без͛ грѣхà и̂ без͛ скве́рны.	truly St. Parascheva made herself into a temple of the Living God, holding her soul and body without a sin and taint
37:	Єгдà же пребы́ст͛ лѣ́та доволна в͛ пꙋсты́ни:	and as she lived for many years in the desert
	въ е̂ди́нꙋ ѿ но́щїй, ста на мл҃и́твѣ по о̂бы́чаю свое́мꙋ,	one night she stood in prayer according to her customs
38:	и̂ рꙋ́цѣ нá Нб҃о съ ꙋ̂миле́нїемъ воздѣ́вши,	and having raised her hands with love towards the heavens
	оꙋ̂зрѣ̀ Агг҃ла Бж҃ıа въ о̂бразѣ ю̂но́ши пресвѣ́тлагѡ,	she saw an angel of God in an image of a shining youth
	҆и́ же прише́дъ к͛ ней речѐ:	who, having come to her, said:
39:	пꙋсты́ню о̂стáви,	ʺleave the desertʺ
40:	и̂ въ ѿчество возврати́ сѧ,	ʺand return to your fatherlandʺ
41:	тáмо бо тебѣ̀ подобáет͛ тѣ́ло землѝ ѿдáти,	ʺfor there it's appropriate for you to leave the body in the groundʺ
	дх҃ъ же в͛ не веще-стве́ннаѧ превестѝ селе́нїа.	ʺand to transfer your spirit to the immaterial realmʺ
42:	Прпдбнаѧ ҆оꙋ́бѡ разсмо-трѣ́вши виде́нїа си́лꙋ, и̂ разꙋмѣ́вши ҆ꙗ́ко повелѣ́нїе то ѿ Бг҃а ҆е́стъ:	as the Reverend saw the power of the apparition, and as she understood that it was from God
	рáдоваше сѧ ѡ̂ тѣле́сном͛ распрѧже́нїи,	she rejoiced about being freed from the body
43:	пе-чаловáше же ѡ̂ о̂ставле́нїи пꙋсты́ни,	but she was worried about leaving the desert
44:	ничто́ же бо тáко дш҃ꙋ о̂чищáетъ: и̂ въ перв҆оо́бразное приво́дит͛, ҆ꙗ́кѡже пꙋсты́нѧ и̂ без͛мо́л͛вїе.	for nothing else purifies the soul and brings it to the primordial (perfection) than the desert and the silence
45:	о̂бáче и̂ не хотѧ́щи пꙋ́сты́ню о̂стáви,	but even though she didn't want to leave the desert, she returned to the world
46:	и̂ къ црствꙋ́ющомꙋ прише́дши Грáдꙋ, в͛ прекрáсны Храм͛ Прмдрости Бж҃ıа в͛нı́йде.	and as she arrived to Tsarigrad (ʺthe reigning cityʺ), she entered the beautiful temple of the Divine Wisdom
47:	тáкожде и̂ в͛ Бг҃оро́дичной ҆ꙗ́ же въ Влахе́рнахъ Црк҃ви быст,	and she was also in the church of the Mother of God, which is in Blachernae
48:	и̂ тáмѡ Бг҃ꙋ и̂ Пречс҃тѣй Бг҃омáтери поклони́вши сѧ, по́йде въ ѿчество своѐ Єпѵвáт͛.	and, as she gave bowed there to God and the most pure Mother of God, she went to her fatherland Epibates
	и̂дѣ́же нѣ́кое поживѐ вре́мѧ не и̂змѣнѧ́а пꙋ-сты́ннагѡ свое́гѡ трꙋ́да, поще́нїа же и̂ мл҃и́тов͛.	where she lived for some time, not changing her desert work, fasting and prayers
49:	тá же приспѣ́вшꙋ ҆е́ же къ Бꙋ҃ е̂ѧ̀ ѿше́ствїю, пом҃ли́ сѧ прилѣ́жно о̂ себѣ̀ же и̂ о̂ все́мъ мı́рѣ,	and as she understood that she was going to pass herself to God, she prayed appropriately for herself and the whole world
50:	и̂ тáкѡ бл҃же́ннꙋю свою̀ дш҃ꙋ в͛ Рꙋцѣ предадѐ Бж҃ıи.	and thus she gave her blessed soul to God's hands
51:	тѣ́ло же е̂ѧ по о̂бы́чаю хр͒тїáн-скомꙋ в͛ землѣ̀ на мѣ́стѣ не нарочи́томъ погребе́ннѡ быст вѣ́рными.	and her body was buried in the soil on a non-exceptional place by some believers according to the Christian custom
52:	хотѧ́ же Бь҃ прослáвити оꙋ̂го́дницꙋ свою̀, ꙗ̂вѝ по мнѡ́зѣхъ͛ лѣ́тех ст҃ы́а ҆е́ѧ мо́щи си́цевым ҆о́бразом:	but as God wanted to praise His saint, He showed her relics after many years in the following way:
53:	сто́лпник нѣ́кїй, близь тогѡ̀ мѣ́ста, и̂дѣ́же Прпднаѧ погребе́нна быст: на столпѣ̀ без͛мол͛ствовáше.	a stylite was praying silently on a pillar somewhere near the place, where the Reverend was buried
54:	слꙋчи́ сѧ же корабле́никꙋ нѣ́коемꙋ пловꙋ́щꙋ, и̂ не́дꙋгомъ лю́тымъ болѣ́вшꙋ и̂ скончáвшꙋ сѧ, тꙋ нѣ́гдѣ поверже́ннꙋ бы́ти.	and it happened to one sailor, who was sailing, and who became direly ill, and died, to be thrown somewhere there
55:	начáт͛ же ѿ трꙋ́па е̂гѡ̀ смрадъ и̂сходи́ти безмѣ́ренъ, ҆ꙗ́кѡ не мощѝ нико́мꙋ же и̂тѝ пꙋте́м͛ тѣм.	and a stench began to come out of his corpse so powerful, that nobody could pass by the road there
56:	не можáше же и̂ сто́лпник стерпѣ́ти смрáда ҆о́нагѡ,	nor the stylite could suffer the stench any longer
57:	и̂ нꙋ́жда бѣ е̂мꙋ̀ рáди того̀ смрáда ѿ столпà снїйтѝ.	and it became a necessity for him to descend from the pillar because of the stench
58:	повелѣ́ же нѣ́кїим͛ чл҃вѣ́комъ ровъ и̂скопáти глꙋбо́къ, и̂ смердѧщїй ҆о́ный тáмѡ воврещѝ трꙋ́пъ.	and he commanded some people to dig a deep grave and to throw there that stinking corpse
59:	и̂ е̂гдà копáша чл҃вѣ́ци ро́въ, по смотре́нїю Бж҃їю, ѡ̂брѣтѡ́ша тѣ́ло не тлѣ́ннѡ в͛ землѝ лежáщее,	and as those people dug the grave, by the God's grace they found an undecayed body laying in the ground
60:	и̂ оꙋ̂дивлѧ́хꙋ сѧ не тлѣ́нїю тѣ́ла того̀.	and they were amazed by the lack of decay of the body
61:	о̂бáче не и̂скꙋ́сни и̂ не вѣ́жи сꙋ́ще, слꙋчи́вшее сѧ ҆ꙗ́коже нѣ́кꙋю малꙋ́ю и̂ ничесо́ же сꙋ́щꙋю ве́щ͛ презрѣ́ша,	but as they were unexperienced and unwise, they ignored what happened as a small thing, which does not matter
62:	гл҃ахꙋ бо к͛ себѣ̀:	for they said to each other:
63:	҆áще бы ст҃о было̀ сїе тѣ́ло, ѿкри́лъ бы ҆оꙋ́бѡ Бг҃ъ чꙋдесѝ ꙗ̂ковы́ми;	ʺif that was a holy body, God would show it by some miraclesʺ
64:	и̂ пáки засы́паша ҆ѐ земле́ю,	and they covered it by the soil again
65:	тáможде и̂ смер-дѧ́щагѡ ври́нꙋвше трꙋ́па, ѿи̂дѡ́ша в͛ до́мы своѧ̀.	having thrown there the stinking corpse too, they went away to their homes
66:	прише́дшей же но́щи, Геѡ́ргїй нѣ́ктѡ ѿ ни́хъ. мꙋ́жъ Хр͒толюби́въ в͛ домꙋ̀ свое́мъ мл҃ѧ́ше сѧ Бг҃ꙋ.	in that night, George, one of them, a Christ-loving man, prayed to God in his house
67:	и̂ къ ҆оꙋ́трꙋ оꙋ̂снꙋ́въ, ви́дѣ видѣ́нїе:	and having fallen asleep by the morning, he saw a vision:
68:	мнѧ́ше сѧ Цари́цꙋ нѣ́кꙋю на пресвѣ́тломъ сѣдѧ́щꙋю Престо́лѣ зрѣ́ти,	it appeared to him to see a queen sitting on a shiny throne
	и̂ мнѡ́жествѡ мно́гѡ свѣ́тлыхъ вѡ́инъ ҆о́крестъ тоѧ̀ стоѧ́щихъ:	and a great number of shiny soldiers staying around her
69:	҆и́хъ же Хр͒толюби́вый ҆о́нъ чл҃вѣ́къ ви́дѣвъ, стрáхомъ ѡ̂бѧ́т͛ бы́ст͛,	and as that Christ-loving man saw them, he was overtaken by fear
70:	и̂ нá землю себѐ повержѐ, не могїй свѣ́тло-сти и̂ красоты̀ ҆о́ноѧ зрѣ́ти.	and he threw himself on the ground, unable to watch their shine and beauty
71:	е̂ди́нъ же ѿ свѣ́тлыхъ тѣ́хъ вѡ́иновъ, ҆е́мъ е̂гѡ̀ за рꙋ́кꙋ, воздвижѐ гл҃ѧ:	and one of the shiny warriors raised him by having seized him by arm, saying:
72:	Геѡ́ргїе, воскꙋ́ю тáкѡ презрѣ́сте тѣ́лѡ Прпдбныѧ Параске́вїи, и̂ погребѡ́сте с͛ ни́мъ трꙋ́пъ смердѧ́щїй?	ʺo George, why did you thus ignore the body of Reverend Petka and buried it with a stinking corpse?ʺ
73:	во ско́рѣ ҆оꙋ́бо то и̂зе́мше, на честномъ положѣ́те мѣ́стѣ,	ʺso quickly take it and place it on a honorable placeʺ
74:	҆и́бѡ восхотѣ̀ Бг҃ъ прослáвити Рабꙋ̀ свою̀ на землѝ.	ʺbecause God wants to make His servant famous on the Earthʺ
75:	тáкожде и̂ Свѣ́тлаѧ та Цр҃и́ца гл҃а е̂мꙋ̀:	also the shiny queen spoke to him:
76:	во ско́рѣ и̂земши Мѡ́щи моѧ̀, в͛ нарочи́тѡмъ положѣ́те мѣ́стѣ,	ʺhaving quickly taken my relics, place (them) on a due placeʺ
77:	не могꙋ̀ бо на мнѡ́зѣ ѕлосмрáдїѧ ҆о́наго тѣлесѐ терпѣ́ти:	ʺfor I cannot stand the stench of that body anymoreʺ
78:	҆и́бѡ и̂ ҆áзъ чл҃вѣ́къ ҆е́смъ,	ʺbecause I am a human tooʺ
79:	и̂ ѿчествѡ моѐ ҆е́ст͛ Єпиватъ, и̂дѣ́же вы нн҃ѣ жителствꙋ́ете.	ʺand my fatherland is Epibates, where you are living nowʺ
80:	тоѧ́жде нощи и̂ женà нѣ́каѧ че́стна ҆и́менем͛ Єѵфи́мїа, то́жде видѣ́нїе видѣ̀,	in the same night, a honorable woman called Euphemia saw the same vision
81:	и̂ о̂бо́и на ҆оꙋ́трїе всѣ́мъ люде́мъ ви́дѣннаѧ сказáша.	and in the morning the both told to all the people about what they have seen
82:	слышавше же сı́ѧ бл҃говѣ́рнїи лю́дїе, потекѡ́ша съ свѣ́щáми къ Прпдбныѧ Параске́вїи Мѡ́щемъ,	having heard this, believing people ran with candles to the relics of Reverend Parascheva
83:	и̂ ты́ѧ съ мнѡ́гим оꙋ̂сердїем͛ и̂зе́мше, ҆ꙗ́коже нѣ́коемꙋ сокро́вищꙋ многѡцѣ́нномꙋ рáдовахꙋ сѧ,	and having them taken with much effort, they rejoiced as (having found) a precious treasure
84:	и̂ полѡжиша въ Це́рквѣ ст҃ых͛ и̂ всехвáлных Апс҃лъ Петрà и̂ Пáвла, в͛ ве́си Єпивáтѣ,	and they placed (the relics) in the church of Holy and Most Praised Apostles Peter and Paul in the village of Epibates
	и̂дѣ́же мл҃твами Прпдбныѧ Параске́вїи, мнѡ́гаѧ и̂сцѣленїѧ ѿ ст҃ыхъ Мѡ́щей е̂ѧ̀ бѡлѧ́щимъ подавáхꙋ сѧ,	where, by the prayers of Reverend Parascheva, many healings were given to the ill by her holy relics
85:	всѣ̀ бѡ ҆и́ же ҆о́крестъ недꙋ́жнїи и̂ бѣснꙋ́ющїи сѧ, съ вѣ́рою прихѡдѧ́ще, здрáвїе пѡлꙋчáхꙋ.	all those, who were ill or possessed in around, coming with faith, were receiving healing
86:	Вре́мени же не мáлꙋ мимоше́дшꙋ,	after some time having passed
	бл҃гочести́вый въ Царе́хъ Іѡáннъ Асáнъ Крáль бо́лгарскїй и̂ се́рбскїй, прїѧть вѣ́сть гдѣ̀ лежáтъ чꙋдотво́рныѧ ст҃ыѧ Мѡ́щи сеѧ̀ Прпдбныѧ Параске́вїи.	honorable among the kings, John Asěn, King of Bulgaria and Serbia received the news about (the place), where the miraculous holy relics of this Reverend Parascheva are located
87:	и̂ послáвъ бл҃же́ннагѡ Марка Митропо́лита сꙋ́ща вели́кагѡ Переѧ́славлѧ болгарскагѡ съ мнѡ́гими Єп͒пы и̂ Іере́и;	and having sent blessed Mark, the Metropolite of Great Preslav of Bulgaria, with many bishops and priests
	чрез͛ тѣ́хъ пренесѐ че́стныѧ тыѧ Мѡ́щи въ преслáвный землѝ бо́лгарскїѧ Град сво́й царствꙋ́ющїй Тернѡ́въ,	by them he translated those honorable relics to the famous city of the land of Bulgaria, his regnal (seat) of Tarnovo

89:	по вре́мени же мнѡ́зѣм, е̂гдà попꙋще́нїемъ Бж҃ıимъ о̂долѣ́ша âгарѧ́не Гре́ческомꙋ Цáрствꙋ,	after a long time, as the Hagarenes by the God's will defeated the Greek kingdom
	с͛ ни́мъ же поработи́ша и̂ Цáрствѡ бѡлгáрское кꙋ́пнѡ съ се́рбскимъ,	with it they subdued the kingdom of Bulgaria too, together the (kingdom of) Serbia
90:	най пáче же во днѝ Сели́ма, тогѡ̀ ҆и́мени вто́рого Царѧ̀ тꙋ́рскогѡ;	and at most (they conquered) in the days of Selim, second king of Turks of that name
91:	тогдà Цáръ то́й Сели́мъ, ѿ грáда Тернѡ́ва рáтїю восхити́въ,	then, that king Selim, having made war against the city of Tarnovo
	съ ҆и́ним͛ бл҃голѣ́пїем͛ Церкѡ́вним͛ и̂ Цáрским оꙋ̂краше́нїем͛,	with other ornaments of Church and royal jewels
	и̂ сı́ѧ че́стныѧ Мѡ́щи Прпдбныѧ Параске́вїи, в͛ Цари́град ѿнесѐ,	he took also the honorable relics of Reverend Parascheva to Tsarigrad
92:	и̂ въ свое́й полáтѣ постáви. и̂де́же не сокры сѧ многѡцѣ́нный то́й Би́серъ,	and he placed (them) in his palace, where this precious pearl did not hide
93:	҆и́бѡ чꙋдесы̀ мнѡ́гими не то́кмѡ Хр͒тїáнъ, нѡ и̂ âгарѧ́нъ в͛ поклоне́нїе приведѐ.	because by many miracles it brought not only Christians, but also many Hagarenes to worship
94:	си́мъ ҆оꙋ́бѡ âгарѧ́не смꙋти́ша сѧ,	however, the Hagarenes were worried by this
95:	и̂ боѧ́ще сѧ да некакѡ мнѡжáйшее оꙋ̂вѣре́нїе распространи́т͛ сѧ,	and, being afraid that (Christian) faith will expand somewhat more
	пáче же за- оꙋ̂се́рдїемъ и̂ попече́нїемъ хр͒тїáнскимъ:	rather then for the sake of efforts and struggles of Christians

	вѣ́сть прїе́мъ о̂ ст҃ых͛ Прпдбныѧ Мѡ́щех͛ тáмѡ сꙋ́щихъ:	having received news about holy relics of the Reverend being there
	желáше оꙋ̂се́рдно, да ѿ тꙋ́дꙋ в͛ е̂го̀ право-слáвное Госпѡдáрствїе че́стнѡ прене́сени бꙋ́дꙋтъ.	he wished strongly to have them translated from there to his Orthodox domain
