3: toai sfeti prorok daniil vide na strašnu sadovie gospodova ta thus saw the Holy Prophet Daniel at the terrible Judgement of the Lord
4: taka kazvaše thus he spoke:
5: videx vetxagu denmi dondiže prostoli postavi še ʺI saw the Ancient of days, as the thrones were setʺ
6: i sedi privečaa na prostoli ogninom ʺand the Eternal One sat on the throne flaming with fireʺ
7: otkolo i nego tmami tem i aggeli i arxanggeli služexum emu sos straxom ʺand around him hundreds of thousands angels and archangels served him with fearʺ
8: i potetze reka ognena ʺand a river of flame flowedʺ
9: tae reka vri strašnu ʺthe river is boiling horriblyʺ
10: i klokoti ʺand it bloatsʺ
11: tae šte da zavleče grešni te u večna moka da sa močet sas diavole ʺthis (river) will bring the sinners to the eternal torment, to be tormented by the devilsʺ
12: toe sfeti prorok daniil ut tova videnie mlogu sa uplašil when this saint Prophet Daniel saw this vision, he became scared very much
13: zašto videl kakvo šte da bude strašen sut božii because he saw what is going to be (at) the terrible Judgement of God
14: i mlogu imal strax and he had feared a lot
15: i plakal ot tova strašen videnie and he cried because of that terrible vision
16: imalo tova vreme car ne veran there was a faithless king in that time
17: toe car neštu mu sa evilu ut kares na togu sfetago proroka daniila this king had (ʺappeared to himʺ) some malice towards this saint Prophet Daniel
18: i gu farli na arslane te žif da gu izedat and he threw him to lions, so that they eat him alive
19: o lele čudu divnu i mlogu gulemu oh, look! (what a) wondrous and very great miracle!
20: takiva arslane strašni i u tri dni gladni such terrible lions, (held) hungry for three days!
21: ami mu sa puklunili but they bowed to him
22: i nugi te mu lizali and they licked his legs
23: i krotki mu sa učinili katu ofca na ufčer and they became tame as sheep to a shepherd
24: gledaite siga ko ima vera i čistu živee look now, who has faith and lives purely!
25: toe sfeti prorok daniil ne imal nikakaf grex this holy prophet Daniel had no sins
26: i bil čis katu aggel božii and he was pure as an angel of God
27: i u tri dni sidel pri gladni arslane u ema dliboka zatvoren and he sat for three days in a deep hole with hungry lions
28: ami tie liudi zveruve ut sfetago imali strax ut negu but those fierce beasts were afraid of the saint
29: zašto faf usta ta mu nosil molba because he carried prayer in his mouth
30: i imal bog u neguva ta duše and he had God in his soul
31: zatuva ni mogli da gu izedat arslane te thus the lions could not eat him
32: slušeite vie you hear
33: zašto nikoi pot ni sa molite bogu because you never pray
34: ni slušete što vi uči xristos ut sfeto eѵaggeliu nor do you listen to what Christ teaches you in the holy Gospel
35: ami xodite bis strax božii but rather you go without the fear of God
36: tešku i korku vam šte da bide na vašia umiranie it will be hard and bitter for you, when you will be dying
37: sekii den davate na diavola vaši te reči grešni xurati i zborovi every day you give the Devil (his due) with your sinful words
38: i si te vaši reči grešni xi pisuva diavola t na neguvi te teftere and all your sinful words are written down by the Devil in his notebooks
39: vie slepi umuve ni vidite tie uzdi što vi zajuzdi diavola t you blind minds, you don't see those reins by which the Devil has caught you
i va vleče u večna maka and (by which) he drags you to the eternal torment
40: siga čiuveci kato slepi na fsekakvu zlo tarčat kato tie na sinčire t now, people run as blind to any evil, as if they were chained to it
41: katu gi ti gi vikat da xi varzat u sinčire t as if they were calling them to get chained (?)
42: taka diavola t tarči i xodi pu čeloveci te skoru da xmi varze umuve te thus also the Devil runs and walks around the people to chain their minds
da ni puznavat tvoi te grexove so that they don't know your (?) sins
43: mlogu sa raduva diavola t za tie čeloveci kutri ni mislet grexove te i umiral the Devil rejoices much about those people, who don't think (about their) sins and death
44: toi koitu umira bes pokaenie tešku i korku tem it is hard and bitter to them, who die(s?) without repenting

46: den i noš sa molili na boga they prayed for the day and night to God
47: siga legnat now they lay down
48: i stanat kato dubitaci i katu konie and they become like cattle and horses

50: ni metanie pravet nor do they pray

52: i dremet and sleep
53: diavola t xmi zatvoril oči te the Devil closed their eyes
54: ta ni videt pot božii so that they don't see the way of God
55: edni sa storili slugi izmetkere na diavola some have become servants of the Devil
56: ni slušet što xi uči xristos they don't hear, what the Christ teaches them

83: i ofci moi ni gi pasat ʺand they don't bring my sheep to pasturesʺ
84: edna aku zagine ot vas štai da e pusakat taka glagolat adonai gospot eloi savaod ʺif one is lost, they let it soʺ ʺthus speaks Adonai, the Lord, Eloi Sabaothʺ
86: a sega ima dve vrata otvoreni and now they have two doors open
87: koi deka saka tamu flezue he who wants, enters
88: vrata sa kazuva vera this door is called faith
89: ami takava vera koi ni miluva ništu u tvoi vek but (it is) such faith, which does not love anything of this age
90: tie ni možat da flezat na boži rai those ones cannot enter the God's Paradise
91: taka kazuva thus he (?) speaks:
92: koi miluva neštu u tvoi vek tie ni možet da flezat na boži rai ʺhe, who loves something of this age, those cannot enter the God's Paradiseʺ (?)
93: zašto sa dušmane bogu because they are enemies of God
94: zašto ima čeliuveci da gu imat kato čuždu because there are men, who have it (?) like something alien
95: zašto aku na duše e ium because the mind is the eye of the soul
96: aku ium misli stoka i pari (and) if the mind thinks (only) about wares and money
koi tuva misli tie čiuveci sa slepi he, who thinks so, those people are blind
97: ium nixni slep their mind is blind
98: i komu mu xodi tamu and whose (mind) goes there?
99: i vam popomu zli grešni yours too, of a bad and sinful priest! (?)
100: tugaf duša e vorzana u temnici strašni then the soul is bound in terrible dungeons
101: i pak kazuva and again, He says:
102: žena tfoe katu luze ploduvita ʺyour wife is like a fruitful vineyardʺ
103: tu e plot na duše aku ima misli božii i dubri that is the fruit of soul, if it has divine and good thoughts
104: zašto misle se božii because these thoughts are God's (?)
105: a pomisle se diavulcku and (bad) ideas are devilish
106: koi ima misli dubri i blagi tie sa misli za pukaenie for one having good thoughts, these thoughts are for repentance
107: zad zaradi drugu ni misli he does not think of anything else
108: a koi ima pomisli toi misli za tvoi vek za stoka i za pari and he, who has (devilish) ideas, thinks of this age, of wares and money
109: tie ni[ko]i pot ni sa gotovi za umiralka these are never (ʺno way/timeʺ) ready for death
110: tie sa delek pot zemle zatvoreni u temnici strašni these are for a long way closed in the earth, in terrible dungeons
111: da misli sekii čuvek kato šte da umre let every human thinks about how he will die
112: tie sa misli blagi these thoughts are good
113: tie misli čuvat duši ut grešni pomisli these thoughts protect the souls from sinful ideas
114: tugava misli kato carcku voinu then he thinks as a royal soldier
115: i čiuvat sfoi gospuža duša and guards his lady the soul
116: zatuva trebuva sekii čiuvek da e karavul na ium for that reason, let every human be on guard for his mind
117: da tarči imot let he endlessly works on his treasure (?)
118: da ni gu puska da xodi pu grešni pomisli let he never lets it go about to sinful ideas
119: zašto ium zašto sekii čas xodi because the mind moves every time
120: ama ako xodi taka xodi and it goes as it goes
121: ako gu darži saipie if he holds it as a landlord
122: ta da mu dade rabuta then it gives him work
123: tuva e blagi misli da sa moli bogu this is (to have) good thoughts, to pray to God
124: a koi ni sa molet bogu ami mislet za tvoi vek tugaf nixni ium ne zasužten xodi po loši i grešni pomisli and who does not pray to God, but he thinks about this age, then their mind goes unprotected (?) on bad and sinful ideas
125: ium ta vodi i aggeli i diavoli the mind is led by both angels and devils (?)

127: ideže est sokrovište vaša tamu bodet i sarce tu vaša ʺwhere is your treasure, there will be your heart tooʺ (?)
128: taka kazuva thus (he?) says:
129: deka čuveka t ium tamu i duše ta ʺwhere is the mindʺ ʺthere is the soulʺ
130: a darži ium u sebe da ne ma grešni pomisli thus hold the mind close, so that it does not have sinful ideas
131: takava duše blizu pri boga such soul is close to God
132: a aku ni darži ium ot grešni pomisli tugaf duša sama i gola and if the mind is not held away from the sinful ideas, the soul is alone and naked
133: ne ma koi da e čiuva there is no one to protect it
134: sme dalžni da tarpime zašto ni doide boles ili siromaštie we have to suffer, because (when?) an illness or poverty comes
135: i da ni xulet ime božii and we should not blame the name of God
136: prašta bog na čiuveci kazep God sends toil to men
137: zašto koga ni gu nakaže bog tešku nemu because when God does not make them suffer, it is hard for them
138: tie sa deleku ut boga they are far away from God
139: blaze na sirumasi i na bolni blessed are the poor and the ill!
140: i mlogu śtrasnu na bogati i na zdravi and woe to the rich and healthy!
141: onii deleku stoet ot utečenie božii they stand far away from seeking refuge at God
142: pervu vreme bili zuzdu čudni xristiane in the beginning, the Christians were wonderful
143: onii ni gledali i ni mislili za tvoi vek they did not look at, nor think of this age
144: den i noš mislili za onii vek they thought about the other age for the day and night
145: zatuva ustavili i slatki rabuti ut soe sfet for that reason they left the sweetness of this world
146: i sa učinili pustini and they became desert (hermits)
147: kam ikonii mislili they thought towards icons
148: aku beše iuzeli ne bi mogali da si učiuvat duši te ut grexove if they would take (husbands or wives), they would not be able to protect their souls from sins
149: zašto imali because they had (wealth?)
150: i ustavili and they left (it?)
151: i utišli pu guri i pu planini goli i bosi i gladni i žedni and they went to forests and mountains, naked and barefoot and hungry and thirsty
152: i žaveli pri strašni arslani i pri liuti zmii i pri ludi zveruve and they lived next to terrible lions and fierce snakes and mad beasts
153: a bili edni ot nix carcki čeda and there were royal children among them
154: a zaradi sfoi te duši da ni gi zakubet xodili sekii den kato umreli and, for the sake of their souls, they walked like dead for every day
155: i nikoi i nikoi ni muži da iskaže texni tu zaxmet pu 40 i pu 50 i 60 gudini and no one can tell (all of) their works (they did) for 40 and 50 and 60 years
156: sekii den bili gladni i žedni i goli kato ut maika rudeni every day they were hungry and thirsty and naked as they were born from their mother
157: i ut gulem zaxmet bili kato umreli and because of hard work they were like dead
158: ami bili čisti kato aggeli but they were pure as angels
159: sas takvi zaxmete sa xodi na boži rai with such works one gets to the divine Paradise
160: a drugi sfetci mučenici što xi mačili za vera xristiancka and other saints (were) martyrs, who were tortured for the Christian faith
161: tri sta i šez dese gudini sekii den mučili mlogu tiurli u maki three hundred and sixty years, every day they tortured many, threw to torture
162: edni živi gi drali some were flayed alive
163: a drugi ut visoku kameniai xi puskali da sa ubivat while others were thrown down from high rocks to die
164: a drugi u furunai xi pekali živi and others were baked alive in furnaces
165: i u kazanai xi varili and they were boiled in cauldrons
166: i na čerkuve xi varteli and they were hanged on churches
167: i na arslane xi živi gi davali da xi izedat and they were given alive to lions as a food
168: i na zmii tai xi farleli da xi ugrižet and they were thrown to snakes to be bitten by them
169: i onii smerteni tevnici xi zatvareli and they were closed in deadly dungeons (?)
170: i mlogu sfeti mučenici u smerteni teviici sa priuśtavali and many holy martyrs died in deadly dungeons
171: slušeite da vidite kolku gulemi i teški maki sa pritarpeli sfeti mučenici hear, so that you (can) see, how great and hard tortures the holy martyrs suffered!
172: tie sa tokmu sas arxaggeli i aggeli they are now just with archangels and angels
173: taka xi pučita sfeta cerkva xeruvim i serafim thus they are respected by the holy Church, by the Cherubim and Seraphim
174: zašto o nixni duši sidel xristos because Christ sat next to their souls

176: ami siga ni močat ni biat ni gladni ni žedni but now (they are) not tortured, nor beaten, nor hungry nor thirsty

185: i eli ut see xlebuve sa sbrali sfeti apostoli dva na deste koše troxi and, as they ate from these breads, the holy apostles collected 12 baskets of leftovers
186: poslet evrei ot zavis ta mlogu gu mačili then the Jews, because of jealousy, tortured him much
187: tri deste i tri xiliadi pot gu udrili 33 thousand times they struck Him
188: pu tuva krasno i prekrasno lice gu bili vrut all together were beating Him on that beautiful face
189: snaga ta neguva bila edna rana po tie liuti miuki His body was one single wound after those fierce tortures
190: i gu prikuvali na korst and they put Him on a cross
191: i mu zabili na raki te mu i na nugi te mu gulemi pirone and they stuck big nails to His hands and legs
192: a toi ognec božii sički te tee moki pritarpel zaradi nas and this Lamb of God lived through these tortures for our sake
193: dana utkupi nas ut roki diavolcki so that He may buy us out from the hands of the Devil
194: i kuga bil xristos na korst tri saxate slonce tu sa putevnilu and when the Christ was on the cross, the sun became dark for three hours
195: i tri saxate zemle ta sa tresala strašnu and the ground was shaking terribly for three hours
196: i uživeli vrut umreli te tamu ot sfeti grada ierusalim and all the dead were revived there, in the holy city of Jerusalem
197: i mlogu koi bili sfeti gu videli kato tie uživeli and those, who were saints, saw, how those became alive

205: mlogu e po tešku mokoi ut vergia ta torment is much worse than the taxes
206: tugava ni žali pari in those times, they did not take the money
207: ami onii davali pari koi ustavi vera božii they were giving the money to those, who abandoned the faith in God
208: ama sfeti i maži i ženi i deca ne ustavili vera ta but the saints, men and women and children, did not abandon the faith
209: ami xodili na mokoi kato na radus but rather, they went to torments as if to joy
210: a sega taka da močet but let them (try to) torture (us) now!
211: dali bex se našel ut deset xiliadi edin da pritarpi takvi liuti i teški moki would there be anyone among ten thousand, who would suffer through such fierce and hard torments?
212: ama tie sfetci ut teški makoi peli pesni božii but those saints sang songs of God from those hard tortures
213: ama tie xristiane imali i nosili u texni usta nixno sorce ime xristovu but those Christians had and carried in their mouths and hearts the name of Christ
214: neprestano činali they prayed (ʺdidʺ) perpetually:
215: gospodi iisuse xriste sine božii pomilui me grešnagu ʺo Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, may you have mercy on sinful myselfʺ
216: onii sekii čas xrista molii they prayed to Christ in every hour
217: i xrista vikali da xmi pumaga i da gi ukrepi and they called the Christ to help them and to make them strong
218: xrista vikali they called the Christ
219: i xrista molili and they prayed to Christ for that
220: zatuva i xristos u texni duši sidel and the Christ sat at their souls
221: i na živu xristos im dal sila i krepost and the Christ gave them strength and sturdiness
222: onii da bexa ni molili na xrista sekii čas ne bi mogali da pritarpet tolkuva liuti mokoi if they did not pray to Christ everytime, they would not be able to suffer so fierce torments
223: zatuva ne verni te xi farleli na ogan da izguret for that reason they threw the believers to fire to burn
224: a ogan ne mogal da xi izgureva but the fire could not burn them
225: i otrova ne mogala da xi utrovuva and the poison could not poison them
226: i liuti zmii ne mogali da xi ugrižet and the fierce snakes could not bite them
227: o lele vera kolku e silna i molenie boga i čistu živenie oh, how strong is the faith, and the prayer to God, and pure life
228: ama tie xristiane nikoi pot ne sa ubivali but those Christians were never killing (?)
229: i ne sa upivali pieni they never drunk (so much as to) be drunk
230: i nikoi pot ne peli pesni diavolcki and they never sung devilish songs
231: i ni sfirili and they did not play (instruments)
232: i ne igrali and they did not dance
233: ami sički muži i ženi kniga znaeli but all the men and women knew the literature (Scripture?)
234: večeru i utrinu na boga sa molili they prayed in the morning and evening to God
235: a sega ni sa molet na boga and now they don't pray to God
236: ami peat pesni diavolcki but they sing devilish songs
237: i sa raduva diavola t sas texni te duši and the Devil rejoices about their souls
238: i ni sa legali sas ženi te si vrut dene te and (the early Christians) did not lay with their wives every day
239: i čistu živeli katu aggeli they lived purely as angels
240: a sega ut grešno živenie i ut prukletu piancku i umuve te si sa zagubili and now, because of sinful life and accursed drinking, they even lose their minds
241: i stanali sa kakvotu bezumni dubitaci and they became like mindless cattle
242: pu pe dese i pu šez dese gudini sa ženet pu tri ženi they marry in (their) 50s and even 60s, with (up to) three women
243: i tri ženi ni dava zakon and the Law does not allow (ʺgiveʺ) three wives
244: i fleze bludnu diavol and the adulterous Devil enters
245: i xi vleče and he drags them
246: onii kato slepi ni vidat veriugi i uzdi diavulcki they, as blind ones, do not see the chains and reins of the Devil
247: onii slepi i ne verni ni sa molet na xrista they, blind and faithless ones, do not pray to Christ
248: ami xodet pu prukletu piancku i po mage but they go with accursed drinking and magic
249: ox slepi duši i ne verni čeluveci zašto sa pisuvate na diavola o you blind souls and faithless men, why do you enlist yourself to the Devil?

251: a onii pak na diavola xodet but they go to the Devil again
252: ox gulema vaša slepota o how big is your blindness!
253: xristos kuga xodil pu zemle ta i ispadil ut edin čilek mlogu diavole when the Christ walked the Earth, He banished from one man many devils

272: i xmi dava strax da imat ut diavulu and he makes them fear the Devil
273: ami koi ima strax ut diavola tie boga ne mat i ni sa božii but who fears the Devil, those don't have a God, nor are His
274: tie sa vorzani i zasušteni sas usti diavolcki they are bound and reined (?) up with devilish reins (?)
275: sas tova luvi i fašta diavul čeliuveci thus the Devil hunts and catches people

283: tie koi imat strax ot diavola t onii ni sa božii those who fear the Devil, they are not of God
