13:	xóděxa po síč'ki te zápovide te bžïĭ,	and (they) lived (ʺwalkedʺ) according to all Divine Commandments
14:	i naukĭ ímaxa sě´kogi bez lě´nostĭ,	and (they) had tought (?) always without laziness
	i mlstíně, i dobròstrúvanïe po siromàsĭ,	and (gave) alms and help to poor for the whole their life.

26:	A prpdbnaę pétka kato sì rodíteli te bu dobrę` provóde.	But the Reverend Petka, after she led her parents to God well

31:	i ne ště´ da trъpì sébě na mnogo da sà topì	and she didn't want to suffer herself very much to drown herself (in worldly things)

34:	i pústinïe dostíg'na	and she reached the crowdless desert over there

53:	ne bě´ neĭ támь da sa zagrìžĭ, za dobrì orátni (v)olóvĭ,	it was not for her to be there (?) to lose herself for good ploughing oxen (?)
	netì za zlatójuzdnïĭ konè	nor for gold-bridled horses
	netì za primě´na xúbava, i postíl'kĭ debélĭ.	nor for beautiful clothes or fatty beds
	ně´ za kъštïę, ilì za robínĭ,	(she craved for) neither houses or handmaids
54:	amí dšá ta sĭ da očistĭ za wtvě´tь	but to purify her soul for the answer
	déto štè da bъ´de na prvdnyʺ sud'.	which will be there at the Last judgement
	da posréš'nĭ ženíxa svoégò xsà,	(and) to meet her bridegroom the Christ

63:	kák' da čjúĭ sladkía tь glás ženíxovь,	how (she should) hear the sweet voice of the bridegroom

67:	za tùï néĭ wčí te sě´kogĭ sъs s'lъzi bě´xa potem'nélĭ.	for that her eyes were always darkened by tears

71:	a dïávolъ lukávïĭ níkakъ ne prestána da ę lъ´stĭ,	but the wicked Devil wouln't stop to use his ruses on her

72:	ami se prestrúvaše na stráš'ni wbrazĭ, i prevedénïe, mnog´ pъ´te,	and he changed himself into terrible apparitions and forms many times
73:	i v' raz'líč'nĭ źvěrovè sébe wbráštaše da i stóri nę`koę­ spъ´na, wt post'no to mě´sto	and he turned himself into various beasts to stand in her way somehow
	da ę` propъ`dĭ,	to scare her away from the place of her fasting
74:	a prdpbnajà pét'ka polóžeši sĭ nadě´vanïe to na bga víšnęgo,	but the Reverend Petka laid her hopes to the God the Highest

87:	i presedě´ mnog godínĭ, ou pústin'e to	and sat for many years in the desert
88:	a v' ednà nóštъ sébe na mlba kato sĭ wbíčaše vdáde,	and (until) one night as she prayed (ʺgave herself to a prayerʺ) as usually
89:	i rъcé te sĭ kamъto nbé to vdíg'na,	and raised her hands towards the heaven
90:	glédaše ně´koĭ bžestvéno vidě´nïe ně´kogo mom'kà svě´t'la če dóde pri nejà,	she saw some divine apparition (of) a shining boy, coming to her

96:	i štò da káža, štô strúvaše, i što rábotešĭ˸	and what should I say about what she did and made?
97:	kolě´no poklonénïe čistò strùvaše,	she bent her knee purely
98:	i wt wčí te ĭ slъzì katò wt kldncъ istíčaxa,	and tears flew from her eyes as from a well
99:	wt srdcé to sĭ, čestò ispúštaše vozdišánïe,	she left many signs out of her heart
100:	i poměnúvaše kak è prebívala u pustin'e to,	and she described how she lived in the desert
101:	i žálostno, tъgúvaše,	and she craved sadly
102:	i topéši se sъs- gríža,	and burned from worries
103:	i na sétne katò ně´koę dob'rà rabót'na pčelà, síč'ki te pro-lét'nĭ cvětovè obxódĭ,	and in the end, as a good working bee visits all the vernal flowers
	tъ´ĭ, i tïę` déto tám síč'ki te stýĭ městà i čér'kovĭ sъs ljúbovъ, i trúd obídĭ,	so she did visit all the holy places and churches with love and work which were there
	dóde i v čér'kova ta prestyʺ bdcʺ déto sa naríča vlaxér'na, i do dnes,	she came also to the church of the most-holy Mother of God, which is called Blachernae until today

111:	znáešъ dvce némoštъ, i slábostъ na žén'ska prílika.	ʺyou know, o Virgin, the frailty and weakness of the female kindʺ

147:	Tъk'vízĭ podkanĭ, i dobrʺ rábotĭ, na prpdbnaę pét'ka bě´xa,	such were the deeds and virtues of the Reverend Petka
148:	tak'vízĭ dàr'bĭ na dxóv'na máika	such were the gifts of the spiritual Mother
149:	v' mál'ko vreme sa potrudʺ, na země´ ta,	she struggled on the Earth for a short time
150:	i potég'lĭ zló,	and (while) she suffered evil (on the Earth)
151:	alà golě´ma sláva prïè na nbe to.	but she received a great glory in the Heavens
152:	Amì netí tъ´ĭ ne wstávĭ bgъ svóę ta robíně, na mnógo vremè bezpámetna da ležì˸	but God wouldn't leave His servant to lay without rememberance for long

154:	(T)ogízĭ ně´koĭ póstnikъ támъ ně´ide blízo sedě´šyʺ na edínъ stlъ´pъ, v' bezglъ´č'no mě´sto,	one hermit sat somewhere around on a pillar at a deserted place in that time
155:	i póstešĭ sę potaéno,	and he fasted secretly
156:	i podkánešĭ sébe sĭ bgu da utъk'mì.	and he decided to live for God to become stronger
157:	Slučí sa ně´koĭ korábniku,	(and) it happened to one sailor
158:	wt ljúta bólestь ležálъ, i umręlъ	he laid and died from of a fierce illness
159:	i fъ´r'lenъ bỳ tam, ně´ĭde wt družína ta sĭ,	and he was thrown somewhere around by his crew
160:	i fàna da iz'lazě iz négo smrad golě´mъ,	and a great stench started to rise from him
	kólkoto ne móžaše, níkoĭ da minè is pъte tъ štoto sa tam približávaxa,	so that nobody could pass by the way nearby

161:	amì kólkoto, i postniko déto na stól'po wt štotó ne móžaše da tьr'pì w´n'ziʺ smrad' bez čéta golě´ma.	but also the hermit, who was on the pillar, couldn't stand that (ʺendlessly greatʺ) stench
162:	podkàni se da slézĭ wt stól'po tъ,	he decided to climb down from the pillar
	kató da rečè na ně´koĭ člcy da iskopáętь tráp' dъl'bókь, i ón'zĭ smradlívïĭ trúpъ da fъ´r'lětь vъ´trě,	to tell to some people to dig a deep hole and throw that stinking corpse inside
163:	i wnézĭ člcy nabъr'zo poslúšaxa dúma ta póstnikova,	and those people obeyed the hermit's command at once
164:	i načénaxa skóro da kopaęt trápo t,	and quickly began to dig the hole
165:	i tïé túĭ, kató rábotěxa, i trápo t stóešĭ dъlbókъ,	and then, as they worked and the hole was deep
