4: | dъšti blgověrnou roditelju ni čislom bogatii ni oblasti imouštiix niže paky ništetoju straždouštiix | (She was) a daughter of pious parents, (who were) neither rich by the numbers (of servants?), nor having domains, but still, nor suffering from misery. |
5: | i eže do sъvrъšenago vъzrasta dostigšii | And as she reached the age of maturity, |
i pomyslъ outvrъdivъši | and as she made up her mind, | |
i porevnovavši žitiju agglъskomou | and as she had a desire for the angelic life, | |
i ostavši roditelje i drugyi i vsa jaže sout vъ mirě | and having left her parents, and others, and all who are in the world, | |
i poslědova xsou | she followed Christ. | |
6: | i dobrodětelmi sebe vъperivši | And having herself winged by virtues, |
i vъšъdši vъ poustynju | and having entered the desert, | |
prěbyvaše tamo bezmlъvnoje žitije poljubivši žitie vъ istinѹ agglъskoje | she dwelt there, loving the life of silence, a life truly angelic | |
poštenijem bděnijem tělo oudroučajušti | strengthening her body by fasting and staying awake. | |
7: | i ne běše vъ njei viděti jastija ni pitija | And there was no food nor drink seen in her. |
8: | nъ pišta i brašno jei běše slъzy i neprěstannie mltvy | But her tears and endless prayers were her food and fodder. |
9: | tako vse žitije svoje provaždajuštii i vъ toi straně | Thus living her life in that land, |
dobrodětelmi prosvětivši se | having shined herself by virtues, | |
doblestvně prěbyvši | having survived bravely, | |
i oumъ i čjuvstvo vъ sebě sъměšenъ i sъvъkoupljenъ imouštii i vynou gorě prěbyvajuštъ | having both mind and senses mixed and integrated, | |
ni edinomou ot zemlъniix toi prělěpljati se | not a single earthly (thing could) smear itself on her. | |
10: | nъ prěbyvaše vsa kъ bou vъperivši se | But she dwellt (there), having winged (herself) towards God (with) all, |
ostri i žestoky poutъ šъstvoujuštii | walking an edgy and cruel path. | |
11: | i svoje prěstavljenie ouvědvši ostavljajet poustyne | Having understood, that she will present herself (die), she left the desert. |
12: | i proxoditъ vъ crigradъ | And she went to Tsarigrad. |
13: | i sta města obъšdši i tou malo prěbyvši | And having visited the holy places, and living there for a while, |
i do svojego otčъstvia kalikratie došdšii | and having come to Kalikratia, her fatherland, | |
tou prědas blžennii svoi dxъ vъ roucě bou živou | there she gave her blessed spirit to the hands of the Living God. | |
14: | i po čъsti věnca nbsnago vъsprijet | And by the honor she received the heavenly wreaths. |
15: | oulouči že se vъ to vrěme korablъnikou někojejemou bolěvšou ljutiim nedougom | In that time happened, that one sailor was ill by a bad disease. |
16: | i prěstavi se | And he died. |
17: | pogrebenъ bys blizъ stlъpa | (And) he was buried near a pillar. |
18: | i tako smradou isxodeštou ot groba togo | And as the stench went out from that grave, |
jako nikomou mošti minouti poutem těmъ | (so much) that it was impossible to pass by that way, | |
i tou stlъpъnikou souštou ponouždenъ byvъ is stlъpa iziti | and as there was a stylite, he was forced to descend from the pillar, | |
i troupa onogo glъboče vъ zemli pogresti | and to bury the corpse deeper in the ground, | |
jako da vonja iz glъbyni ne isxoditъ | so that the stench does not come from the depth. | |
19: | inii že slyšavše i ot puta troupъ vъzъmše blizъ těla stie pogreboše | Others, having heard (about it), took the corpse from the way and buried it next to the body of the saint. |
20: | tělo že to cělo viděvše samo oukrěpljeno sъvrъšeno i zdravo diviše se | And as the body (of the saint) seemed healthy, holding itself, perfect and strong, they were amazed. |
21: | i ot sego razouměvše jako ašte bi sto bilo tělo sije bъ otkril by čjudesi | And as they understood it so, that if it was a holy body, God would make it appear by a miracle, |
i vъ tomžde městě ostavlъše styje tělo otidoše | and thus, having left it in the same place, they went away. | |

23: | eterъ ot nyxъ imenem georgije vidě snъ takovъ čjudъnъ i oužasъnъ | One of those, called George, saw a strange and terrible dream, |

38: | i nesše i položiše vъ crkvi stiix apslъ | And having taken it, they put it in the church of Holy Apostles, |
iže i cělby točitъ do sego dne | where (ʺwhatʺ) it pours healings until today. | |
39: | běsnyi cělbou prijemljutъ | Mad receive healings, |
40: | slěpy prozrěnije | the blind (receive) sight, |
41: | xromy xoždenie | the crippled (receive) walking. |
42: | i vsakiimi različniimi nedougy odrъžimi si cělby prijemljutъ | And those ill by any of the various illnesses receive healings. |
43: | slyšav že veliki crъ ioannъ asěnъ snъ velikago i staraago asěnja cra o čjudesěx stye | As the great king John Asen, son of the great and old king Asen, heard about the miracles of the saint, |
i želanie vъždelěvъ vъsxotě prinesti tělo stie vъ svoja si | and having a wish, he wanted to move the body of the saint to his (domain). | |

on že ne potrěbova ni zlato ni srebro ni kamenije mnogocěnnoe | he (told them that he) did not need gold, nor silver, nor precious stones. | |
45: | nъ troudoljubъzno podvig se prěnese stie tělo vъ svoi slavni crigradъ trъnovъ i ousrětъ sъ patriarxom i sъ vsěmъ pričtom i nardomъ sъ svěštami i kadilom | But he dilligently resolved to carry the body of the saint to his glorious royal city of Tarnovo. And he met (the body) with the patriarch and with all the clergy, and the people with candles and censers. |
46: | i sъ vsakoju čstiju položiše vъ crsěi crkvi | And with all due honor they placed (it) in the royal church. |
47: | eježe mltvami da spdobit nii gъ crstviju emou | By her prayers, may the Lord makes us worthy to His kingdom. |
