1:	Вь тьжде дн҃ь	[Title] On the same day
2:	ст҃ы̏ѥи̂ прпдбнии̂ параске́виѝ:	[Title] (Life) of St. Reverend Parascheva
3:	Си̂ꙗ̀ ст҃аꙗ̀ и прпдобнаа пáраскевеи̂. быс ѿ в҆сѝ ҆епи́ватемъ наричема. ѿ грда каликрáтїє.	This saint and reverend Parascheva was from a village called Epibates, (near) the city of Kalikratia,
4:	дьщи̏ бл҃говѣрноу родителю̀. ни числом богатїи̂, ни ѡ̂бластѝ и̂моўщїи̂х. ни̏же пакы̂ ни̏щетою страждоущїи̂х.	(She was) a daughter of pious parents, (who were) neither rich by the numbers (of servants?), nor having domains, but still, nor suffering from misery.
5:	и̂ е́же до сьврьшена̏го вьзраста дости̂г̂шїи.	And as she reached the age of maturity,
	и помысль̂ ҆оутврьди̂вьши̏	and as she made up her mind,
	и поре́вновав̂ши̏ жити̏ю ҆áгг҃льско̀моу.	and as she had a desire for the angelic life,
	и̂ ѡставши̏ родителѥ̀ ҆и дрꙋгы̂и и̂ в҆са ꙗ̂же соут вь ми̂рѣ	and having left her parents, and others, and all who are in the world,
	҆и послѣдова̏ хсоу.	she followed Christ.
6:	и̂ добродѣтелми себе вьпери҆вши̏,	And having herself winged by virtues,
	и̂ вьшьдши̏ вь поусты̂ню	and having entered the desert,
	прѣбы̂вâше тамо. безмльвно̀ѥ жи̂тїѥ́ полю́бив̂ши̏. жи̂тїе вь ҆истинѹ агг҃льскоѥ.	she dwelt there, loving the life of silence, a life truly angelic
	пощениѥм бдѣниѥм тѣло оу̂дроучаю̂щи̏.	strengthening her body by fasting and staying awake.
7:	и не бѣше вь нѥ҆и видѣти ꙗ̂стѝꙗ̀ ни п҆итиꙗ̀.	And there was no food nor drink seen in her.
8:	нъ пища и брáшно ѥ҆ѝ бѣше сль́зы̂. ҆и непрѣстаннїе мл҃тв҆ы	But her tears and endless prayers were her food and fodder.
9:	такѡ в̂се житиѥ̀ своѥ̀ проваждающїи и вь то҆ѝ странѣ.	Thus living her life in that land,
	добродѣтелми просвѣтив̂ши̏ се.	having shined herself by virtues,
	добл̂ест̂внѣ прѣбы̂вши̏.	having survived bravely,
	и ҆оу́мь и чю̂вс҆тво̀ вь себѣ сьмѣшень и̂ сьвь҆коуплѥнь и́моущїѝ, и вы̂ноу г҆орѣ прѣбы̂вающь̏.	having both mind and senses mixed and integrated,
	ни е̂дино̏моу ѿ земльнїих то҆и прѣлѣплꙗти се.	not a single earthly (thing could) smear itself on her.
10:	нь̏ прѣбы̂ва̏ше в̂са кь б҃оу вьперив̂шѝ се.	But she dwellt (there), having winged (herself) towards God (with) all,
	ѡ̂стри̏ и жесто́кы̂ поўть шьствоующїѝ.	walking an edgy and cruel path.
11:	и ҆своѥ прѣстâвл҆ѥнїе оувѣд҆вши̏, ѡ̂ставлꙗѥт поус҆тыне̂	Having understood, that she will present herself (die), she left the desert.
12:	и про̂ходить вь цр҃иградь.	And she went to Tsarigrad.
13:	҆и ст҃а̏ мѣстà ѡ̂бьшдши̏, ҆и тоу̏ мало прѣбы̂в̂ши̏.	And having visited the holy places, and living there for a while,
	и́ до своѥго ѿчьствїа каликрâтїе дошдшїи.	and having come to Kalikratia, her fatherland,
	тоу̏ прѣдас бл҃женнїи̂ свои̂ дх҃ь, вь роу̂цѣ б҃оу жи̏воу.	there she gave her blessed spirit to the hands of the Living God.
14:	и̂ по чьсти вѣнца нбсна̏го вьсприѥт.	And by the honor she received the heavenly wreaths.
15:	оулоу̂ч҆и же се вь то̏ врѣме корабльникоу нѣкоѥ́ѥмоу болѣв̂шоу̏ лютїим недоугом.	In that time happened, that one sailor was ill by a bad disease.
16:	и прѣстави̂ се	And he died.
17:	погребень быс бли̂зь стльпà.	(And) he was buried near a pillar.
18:	҆и тàко смрадоу исходещоу ѿ гроба то̂го.	And as the stench went out from that grave,
	ꙗ̂ко нико̏моу мощи̂ миноути̂ поу̂тем тѣмь.	(so much) that it was impossible to pass by that way,
	и тоу̏ с̂тльпьникоу соу́щоу, поноуждень бы̂вь и̂(с) стльпа. ҆изѝт҆и.	and as there was a stylite, he was forced to descend from the pillar,
	и троу́па ҆ѡного гльбоче вь зѐмли погре̂стѝ.	and to bury the corpse deeper in the ground,
	ꙗ̂ко да вонꙗ из гльбы́ни не исходить.	so that the stench does not come from the depth.
19:	и̂нїи же слы́шав҆ше̏ и ѿ пꙋта троу́пь вьзьм̂ше̏. бли́зь тѣла ст҃їе погре́боше.	Others, having heard (about it), took the corpse from the way and buried it next to the body of the saint.
20:	тѣло же то̏ цѣло видѣвше̏ само ҆оу́крѣплѥно, сьврьшено, и̂ здраво, дивишѐ се.	And as the body (of the saint) seemed healthy, holding itself, perfect and strong, they were amazed.
21:	и ѿ се̂го разоумѣв҆шѐ, ꙗко ащѐ би ст҃о било тѣло сиѥ̂ б҃ь ѿкри҆л бы ҆чюдеси̂.	And as they understood it so, that if it was a holy body, God would make it appear by a miracle,
	и вь томжде мѣстѣ ѡ̂стâвльше ст҃ы̏ѥ̀ тѣло ѿѝдоше.	and thus, having left it in the same place, they went away.
22:	и се̏	And then:
23:	етерь ѿ ныхь именем геѡргїѥ̀. вѝдѣ с҃нь таковь чюдьнь, и̂ оу́жâсьнь.	One of those, called George, saw a strange and terrible dream,
	цр҃цоу нѣкоую сѣдещоую̂ на прѣстолѣ. и́ чи́но̂вь̏ множьство̀ прѣдстоѥще, еи́.	a queen sitting on a throne, and many ranks staying in front of her.
24:	и̂хже видѣв абїе страхом ѡ̂дрьжи́мь быс,	Seeing them, he was overcome by fear.
25:	и ҆ниць паде.	And he fell down.
26:	Єдин же ѿ ѡнѣх моуже҆и свѣтлїих. ҆е́мь за роукоу вьздвиже ѥго	Having taken him by the hand, one of those shining men raised him.
27:	и̂ гл҃а кь нѥ̂моу.	And he said to him:
28:	чл҃че не боиши ли се б҃а,	ʺO man, do you not fear God,ʺ
	ꙗ̂ко сїе тѣло ст҃ое̂. и како сїѥ̀ тѣло гнилое и̂ смрьдещеѥ̂ сь сим тѣлом бж҃їе рâбы̂ Параскеви̂и погребос҆те.	ʺas this body body is holy, and you buried this rotten and stinking corpse with this body of God's servant Parascheva?ʺ
29:	нь̏ йди нн҃ꙗ вь скорѣ	ʺBut go now quickly!ʺ
30:	и вьсѣмь вьзвѣстѝ. да ѿ толика̏ смрада ҆избавит ҆ме.	ʺAnd tell to everyone, to free me from so much stench!ʺ
31:	҆áще ли сего не сьтворишѝ, по ҆истинѣ познава҆ѝ ꙗко ѡ̂гнѥм имâте ѿ б҃а погибноу́ти.	ʺIf you will not do this, be sure, that you are going to die by a fire from God.ʺ
32:	и́бо̏ и азь ѿ чл҃кь̏ ѥсмь,	ʺBecause I am a human too.ʺ
33:	и́ ѡчина ми ѥс е̂пивáте	ʺAnd Epibates is my fatherland.ʺ
34:	Вь тоу̏жде нощь нѣкаа жена и́менем е́фимїа, тожде видѣнїе вѝдѣ.	In that night also a woman called Euphemia saw the same vision.
35:	и ҆ѡба̏ на ꙋтрїа вьсѣмь вьзвѣсти̂ше.	And both told (about that) to everyone in the morning.
36:	Слы̂шавш̂е же вьси́ и̂ приѥмше̏ свѣще притекоше над тѣло̂ ст҃ы̏ѥ̂,	And having heard (it) and having taken candles, all ran to the grave of the saint.
37:	҆и и́҆зм҆ше тѣло положише ҆и вь рацѣ.	And having taken the body, they placed it in a coffin.
38:	и́ не̂сше ҆и положи̂ше вь цр҃кви ст҃їих апсль̏.	And having taken it, they put it in the church of Holy Apostles,
	҆иже ҆и цѣлбы̂ точить до сего дн҃е.	where (ʺwhatʺ) it pours healings until today.
39:	бѣсны̂и цѣл̂боу приѥмлють.	Mad receive healings,
40:	слѣпы̂ прозрѣниѥ,	the blind (receive) sight,
41:	хромы̏ хожденїе.	the crippled (receive) walking.
42:	и всакїими различнїими недоугы̀ ҆ѡ́дрьжїми си̏ цѣл̂бы̂ приѥ́млють.	And those ill by any of the various illnesses receive healings.
43:	Слы̂шав̂ же велики̂ цр҃ь ї҆ѡáннь ҆áсѣ́нь. сн҃ь вел҆ика̏го̂ и с҆тарааго ҆асѣн҆ꙗ цр҃а ҆ѡ чюдесѣх ст҃ые,	As the great king John Asen, son of the great and old king Asen, heard about the miracles of the saint,
	҆и желанїе, вьжделѣвь. вьсхотѣ принестѝ тѣло ст҃їе вь своꙗ̂ сѝ.	and having a wish, he wanted to move the body of the saint to his (domain).
44:	тогда бо фроугомь цр҃иградь дрьжещїим ҆и данѝ дающе велико̏моу цр҃оу іѡ̂âнноу ҆áсѣню̀.	As the Franks held Tsarigrad by then, paying tax to the great king John Asen,
	҆ѡ҆н же не потрѣбова ни̂ злáто ни сребро̀, ни камениѥ̀ многоцѣнное.	he (told them that he) did not need gold, nor silver, nor precious stones.
45:	нь̏ троу́долюбьзно̂ подвиг̂ се прѣнесе ст҃їе тѣло вь свои́ славнӥ цр҃иградь трьновь. и̂ оусрѣть сь патрїархѡм. и сь в̂сѣмь причтом. ҆и нардѡмь. сь свѣщами, и кадилом.	But he dilligently resolved to carry the body of the saint to his glorious royal city of Tarnovo. And he met (the body) with the patriarch and with all the clergy, and the people with candles and censers.
46:	и ҆сь всакою чстї҆ю положи̏ше вь цр҃сѣ҆и цр҃кви.	And with all due honor they placed (it) in the royal church.
47:	Єѥже мл҃твами да спдобит нїи г҃ь црствїю емоу	By her prayers, may the Lord makes us worthy to His kingdom.
48:	а(минь).:.	Amen.
