1:	Vь tьžde dn҃ь	[Title] On the same day
2:	st҃yʺjeî prpdbniî paraskéviì:	[Title] (Life) of St. Reverend Parascheva
3:	Sîjà st҃ajà i prpdobnaa páraskeveî. bys wt vʾsì ʾepívatemъ naričema. wt grda kalikrátïє.	This saint and reverend Parascheva was from a village called Epibates, (near) the city of Kalikratia,
4:	dьštiʺ bl҃gověrnou roditeljù. ni čislom bogatïî, ni w^blastì i^mouˇštïîx. niʺže pakŷ niʺštetoju straždouštïîx.	(She was) a daughter of pious parents, (who were) neither rich by the numbers (of servants?), nor having domains, but still, nor suffering from misery.
5:	î éže do sьvrьšenaʺgo vьzrasta dostîg^šïi.	And as she reached the age of maturity,
	i pomyslь^ ʾoutvrьdîvьšiʺ	and as she made up her mind,
	i porévnovav^šiʺ žitiʺju ʾágg҃lьskòmou.	and as she had a desire for the angelic life,
	î wstavšiʺ roditeljè ʾi drugŷi î vʾsa jâže sout vь mîrě	and having left her parents, and others, and all who are in the world,
	ʾi poslědovaʺ xsou.	she followed Christ.
6:	î dobrodětelmi sebe vьperiʾvšiʺ,	And having herself winged by virtues,
	î vьšьdšiʺ vь poustŷnju	and having entered the desert,
	prěbŷvâše tamo. bezmlьvnòje žîtïjé poljúbiv^šiʺ. žîtïe vь ʾistinѹ agg҃lьskoje.	she dwelt there, loving the life of silence, a life truly angelic
	poštenijem bděnijem tělo oûdroučajûštiʺ.	strengthening her body by fasting and staying awake.
7:	i ne běše vь njeʾi viděti jâstìjà ni pʾitijà.	And there was no food nor drink seen in her.
8:	nъ pišta i brášno jeʾì běše slь´zŷ. ʾi neprěstannïe ml҃tvʾy	But her tears and endless prayers were her food and fodder.
9:	takw v^se žitijè svojè provaždajuštïi i vь toʾì straně.	Thus living her life in that land,
	dobrodětelmi prosvětiv^šiʺ se.	having shined herself by virtues,
	dobl^est^vně prěbŷvšiʺ.	having survived bravely,
	i ʾoúmь i čjûvsʾtvò vь sebě sьměšenь î sьvьʾkoupljenь ímouštïì, i vŷnou gʾorě prěbŷvajuštьʺ.	having both mind and senses mixed and integrated,
	ni êdinoʺmou wt zemlьnïix toʾi prělěpljati se.	not a single earthly (thing could) smear itself on her.
10:	nьʺ prěbŷvaʺše v^sa kь b҃ou vьperiv^šì se.	But she dwellt (there), having winged (herself) towards God (with) all,
	w^striʺ i žestókŷ pouˇtь šьstvoujuštïì.	walking an edgy and cruel path.
11:	i ʾsvoje prěstâvlʾjenïe ouvědʾvšiʺ, w^stavljajet pousʾtynê	Having understood, that she will present herself (die), she left the desert.
12:	i prôxoditь vь cr҃igradь.	And she went to Tsarigrad.
13:	ʾi st҃aʺ městà w^bьšdšiʺ, ʾi touʺ malo prěbŷv^šiʺ.	And having visited the holy places, and living there for a while,
	í do svojego wtčьstvïa kalikrâtïe došdšïi.	and having come to Kalikratia, her fatherland,
	touʺ prědas bl҃žennïî svoî dx҃ь, vь roûcě b҃ou žiʺvou.	there she gave her blessed spirit to the hands of the Living God.
14:	î po čьsti věnca nbsnaʺgo vьsprijet.	And by the honor she received the heavenly wreaths.
15:	ouloûčʾi že se vь toʺ vrěme korablьnikou někojéjemou bolěv^šouʺ ljutïim nedougom.	In that time happened, that one sailor was ill by a bad disease.
16:	i prěstavî se	And he died.
17:	pogrebenь bys blîzь stlьpà.	(And) he was buried near a pillar.
18:	ʾi tàko smradou isxodeštou wt groba tôgo.	And as the stench went out from that grave,
	jâko nikoʺmou moštî minoutî poûtem těmь.	(so much) that it was impossible to pass by that way,
	i touʺ s^tlьpьnikou soúštou, ponouždenь bŷvь î(s) stlьpa. ʾizìtʾi.	and as there was a stylite, he was forced to descend from the pillar,
	i troúpa ʾwnogo glьboče vь zèmli pogrêstì.	and to bury the corpse deeper in the ground,
	jâko da vonja iz glьbýni ne isxoditь.	so that the stench does not come from the depth.
19:	înïi že slýšavʾšeʺ i wt puta troúpь vьzьm^šeʺ. blízь těla st҃ïe pogréboše.	Others, having heard (about it), took the corpse from the way and buried it next to the body of the saint.
20:	tělo že toʺ cělo viděvšeʺ samo ʾoúkrěpljeno, sьvrьšeno, î zdravo, divišè se.	And as the body (of the saint) seemed healthy, holding itself, perfect and strong, they were amazed.
21:	i wt sêgo razouměvʾšè, jako aštè bi st҃o bilo tělo sijê b҃ь wtkriʾl by ʾčjudesî.	And as they understood it so, that if it was a holy body, God would make it appear by a miracle,
	i vь tomžde městě w^stâvlьše st҃yʺjè tělo wtìdoše.	and thus, having left it in the same place, they went away.
22:	i seʺ	And then:
23:	eterь wt nyxь imenem gewrgïjè. vìdě s҃nь takovь čjudьnь, î oúžâsьnь.	One of those, called George, saw a strange and terrible dream,
	cr҃cou někouju sědeštoujû na prěstolě. í čínôvьʺ množьstvò prědstoješte, eí.	a queen sitting on a throne, and many ranks staying in front of her.
24:	îxže viděv abïe straxom w^drьžímь bys,	Seeing them, he was overcome by fear.
25:	i ʾnicь pade.	And he fell down.
26:	Edin že wt wněx moužeʾi světlïix. ʾémь za roukou vьzdviže jego	Having taken him by the hand, one of those shining men raised him.
27:	î gl҃a kь njêmou.	And he said to him:
28:	čl҃če ne boiši li se b҃a,	ʺO man, do you not fear God,ʺ
	jâko sïe tělo st҃oê. i kako sïjè tělo gniloe î smrьdeštejê sь sim tělom bž҃ïe râbŷ Paraskevîi pogrebosʾte.	ʺas this body body is holy, and you buried this rotten and stinking corpse with this body of God's servant Parascheva?ʺ
29:	nьʺ iˇdi nn҃ja vь skorě	ʺBut go now quickly!ʺ
30:	i vьsěmь vьzvěstì. da wt tolikaʺ smrada ʾizbavit ʾme.	ʺAnd tell to everyone, to free me from so much stench!ʺ
31:	ʾášte li sego ne sьtvorišì, po ʾistině poznavaʾì jako w^gnjem imâte wt b҃a pogibnoúti.	ʺIf you will not do this, be sure, that you are going to die by a fire from God.ʺ
32:	íboʺ i azь wt čl҃kьʺ jesmь,	ʺBecause I am a human too.ʺ
33:	í wčina mi jes êpiváte	ʺAnd Epibates is my fatherland.ʺ
34:	Vь touʺžde noštь někaa žena ímenem éfimïa, tožde viděnïe vìdě.	In that night also a woman called Euphemia saw the same vision.
35:	i ʾwbaʺ na utrïa vьsěmь vьzvěstîše.	And both told (about that) to everyone in the morning.
36:	Slŷšavš^e že vьsí î prijemšeʺ svěšte pritekoše nad tělô st҃yʺjê,	And having heard (it) and having taken candles, all ran to the grave of the saint.
37:	ʾi íʾzmʾše tělo položiše ʾi vь racě.	And having taken the body, they placed it in a coffin.
38:	í nêsše ʾi položîše vь cr҃kvi st҃ïix apslьʺ.	And having taken it, they put it in the church of Holy Apostles,
	ʾiže ʾi cělbŷ točitь do sego dn҃e.	where (ʺwhatʺ) it pours healings until today.
39:	běsnŷi cěl^bou prijemljutь.	Mad receive healings,
40:	slěpŷ prozrěnije,	the blind (receive) sight,
41:	xromyʺ xoždenïe.	the crippled (receive) walking.
42:	i vsakïimi različnïimi nedougỳ ʾw´drьžïmi siʺ cěl^bŷ prijémljutь.	And those ill by any of the various illnesses receive healings.
43:	Slŷšav^ že velikî cr҃ь ïʾwánnь ʾásě´nь. sn҃ь velʾikaʺgô i sʾtaraago ʾasěnʾja cr҃a ʾw čjudesěx st҃ye,	As the great king John Asen, son of the great and old king Asen, heard about the miracles of the saint,
	ʾi želanïe, vьždelěvь. vьsxotě prinestì tělo st҃ïe vь svojâ sì.	and having a wish, he wanted to move the body of the saint to his (domain).
44:	togda bo frougomь cr҃igradь drьžeštïim ʾi danì dajušte velikoʺmou cr҃ou іw^ânnou ʾásěnjù.	As the Franks held Tsarigrad by then, paying tax to the great king John Asen,
	ʾwʾn že ne potrěbova nî zláto ni srebrò, ni kamenijè mnogocěnnoe.	he (told them that he) did not need gold, nor silver, nor precious stones.
45:	nьʺ troúdoljubьznô podvig^ se prěnese st҃ïe tělo vь svoí slavnī cr҃igradь trьnovь. î ousrětь sь patrïarxwm. i sь v^sěmь pričtom. ʾi nardwmь. sь svěštami, i kadilom.	But he dilligently resolved to carry the body of the saint to his glorious royal city of Tarnovo. And he met (the body) with the patriarch and with all the clergy, and the people with candles and censers.
46:	i ʾsь vsakoju čstïʾju položiʺše vь cr҃sěʾi cr҃kvi.	And with all due honor they placed (it) in the royal church.
47:	Eježe ml҃tvami da spdobit nïi g҃ь crstvïju emou	By her prayers, may the Lord makes us worthy to His kingdom.
