6: a treto bivá naì źlo And the third one is the worst -
7: kogì sas vese ŵstavì bg͂ъ čl͂veka when God abandons man entirely
8: wt ĭskušénne bž͂ïe bĭvá ĭ źlo ĭ bedà ĭ napastъ From God's temptation comes evil and calamity and scourge
kakvoto potéglì ĭ pravednì ïŵvъ which the righteous Job suffered himself
9: če beše čl͂vekъ právedenъ i dobrъ ī ml͒tivъ for he was a righteous and good and merciful man
predъ bg͂a i predъ čl͂veci in front of God and others
10: iŵvъ ĭmáše sedámъ sīnove ĭ dъšter͛kì trĭ: Job had seven sons and three daughters
11: ĭ ŵvci imaše trì xílędĭ sedámъ xĭlędì he had seven thousand sheep
12: kámilju imáše trĭ xĭlę´dĭ he had three thousand camels
13: volove imaše dve xïljádì he had two thousand oxen
14: i kravì petъ stotìnъ and five hundred cows
15: i kone xe-r͛gelíę sedámъ stótinъ and a herd of seven hundred horses
16: i rátáe imáše mlogo he had many farmhands too
17: i rábotá i sluguváne bezъkráino mlogo and work without end
18: a kolíko srebro i zlato imaše iovo ne izъbroeno and how much uncounted silver and gold Job had...
19: no vъ malko dni sve se dovrъ(š)ì but in few days everything ended
20: i ništo mu ne ŵstanu and he was left with nothing
21: posle i deca ta mu izmrexu then his children died too
22: toko ŵnъ ŵstánu i žená ta mu only him and his wife were left
23: takovo vremę` dočeka he suffered such times
24: i snágá ta wtžívíniče that his body got covered with scrofula
25: i ležeše káto níkoi na buníšte isъfrъlenъ and he lied there like nobody, thrown away at a dumping ground
26: i čirepъ ne maše da si wstruže snága ta he did not either have a splitter to scrape his body
27: i xlebъ ne máše da ede ili krъčágъ vodu dá píe nor did he have bread to eat or a jug to drink water
28: á žena negova stanula sirotica Meanwhile his wife became a pauper
29: i w´deše wt ížu do xiu ta prose xlebъ ta mu prinoseše and she went from hut to hut to beg for bread and bring it to him
30: i metnuváše mo wt dálekъ and she threw it to him from afar
31: i dumáše mu and she talked to him:
32: dokogi da ležíšъ ti tuka wtbidníče tol͛kova poxulenъ Until when are you going to lie here, you wretch, ever so slandered?
33: zašto ne rečešъ nekoę xulna duma na boga Why don't you say a slanderous word to God?
34: dano bì umrъ dá počínišъ da ne teglíšъ. tolková zlo So that (you) die doing (at least) something to not suffer so much evil

35: Togiva se wtbrъnu iwtvo Then Job turned around
36: tá í reče and said to her:
37: nalí si žená bezumna Are you a reckless woman?
38: kakvo da poxulímъ na bóga kogi ni béše dálъ bg҃ъ tolko do;bro Why should I blaspheme God, when he gave us so much good?
39: nalí znáešъ kákvo sè radavaxmo w bezumnice You know how happy we were, oh you reckless one
40: a sъga kakvo da ne pretrъpimo tova zlo Why should we now not bear through this evil?
41: i taka provódi iwvo svoi, dni u bolestъ And so Job spent his days in illness
42: zašto beše pravedénъ čl҃vekъ bž͂i for he was a righteous man of God
43: beše pravedenъ i cr͂kóvnikъ i posníkъ i bg҃u ugodenъ he was a man of the church, he was a faster and pious
44: ta mo zavide, dięvolъ so the Devil got envious of him
45: tá se wbzaloži sasъ drugago dijavolá and laid a bet with another devil
46: ta mu izъmori sva ta stoka šte imaše bogátí ıwvo and killed all the stock that the wealthy Job had
47: posle mu izmori sinove te i dъšterí te then he killed his sons and daughters
48: i wbraxá mu srebro to i zlato to and they robbed him of his silver and gold
49: nai posle dięvolъ i nego po;xraka finally, the Devil spat on him too
50: ta stanu sve raní snagá ta mu and his body became full of wounds
51: i oživiníče and it caught scrofula
52: ta tečéše gnoi so pus was running
53: i beše fanulъ črъvę ou snaga ta and his body got infected with worms
54: i ne možeše d;a se prewbrъne na druga ta strana wt bole;sti and he could not turn on the other side because of sickness
55: ta pa nikakvó nikakvo ne poxuli; na bg҃a but he did not defame God
56: čuete li xr͒tīanī kolīko ljubovъ imaše bogatī iwvo za boga Do you, christians, hear how much love for God the wealthy Job had?
57: isprosilъ beše diavolъ wt bg҃a da wskr͛bi iwva da The Devil had asked God to offend Job
go; ispita dalī šte ljubïi iwva bg҃a na skrъbno vreme in order to test him if he will love God in times of sorrow
58: a bg҃ъ znaeše če ne šte īwvo da poxuli na bg҃a but God knew Job will not defame God
59: takmo si šteja bg҃ъ da go w;stavi da potegli zlo za uverenie yet God wanted him to suffer evil for the sake of belief
da veruvamo i nija na tię zločestī dnī naši so that we, too, have faith in these bad days
60: ī doīde vreme i denъ da si služi iwvo st҃ogo wc҃a nikolae and the time and day came for Job to make a service to the holy father (St.) Nicholas
61: niti imamъ pari da si kupîmъ vosokъ he did not have money to buy himself wax
62: niti ímamъ da si kupimъ ѳemęnь nor did he have (money) to buy himself incense
niti drugo što nor anything else
63: toko brъknu ou pazova he just put his hand in his neckline
64: ta izvadi wt snága tá si trí črъvę. and he took three worms out of his body
65: í reče na žená ta sí and he said to his wife:
66: ná ti tię črъvove Here, (take) these three worms,

69: zá edinъ črъvъ• da vzmešъ žito take grain for one worm
70: a zá drugí vosokъ and for another one wax
71: á za tretię da zemašъ ѳamianъ and for the third one take incense
72: a wtbid;nica žena reče and the wretch of a woman said:
73: čl҃veče bž҃ïi koí xoče tebe da uzme črъvę Oh you, man of God, who would want to take worms from you
da ti dade žito i vosokъ i ѳimięnъ to give you grain and wax and incense?
74: a iwvo rečé And Job said:
75: ti idi sasъ ime bž҃ei You go with God's name
76: i pomolí se st҃omu níkolae and pray to Saint Nicholas
77: vze štešъ potreba. you will get what you need
78: i wna uze tię trí črъvove And she took these three worms
79: i várъza gí u krъpu and she tied them in a cloth
80: i zánese gi na pazarъ and she took them to the market
81: i reče and she said
82: dukęnџi za íme bž҃e; na tî na tí tię trí črъvove O merchant, in the name of God, here, (take) these three worms
83: tá; mí daí mákárъ trí zrъná žíto í málo vosokъ í ѳimęnъ and give me even if only three grains of wheat and a little wax and incense
dá sí wt;služímo st҃ago oc҃a níkolaju í; so that we serve the holy father Nicholas
náı dukęnъџię uze krъpa ta sasъ; črъvove te And that merchant took the cloth with the worms

99: i dobre go skri da nî bude gotovo za godína and hide it well so that it is ready for us in a year
100: če ne ma i togíva za što da si kupimo because then there will be nothing to buy for, too
101: i wna skrí žito to And she hid the wheat
102: kogí bí do godínu doídé dénъ pákъ dá sí služetъ st҃ágo níkoláe When a year passed, the day for the service to St. Nicholas came again.
103: uze žená tá iwvina krъpá tá The wife of Job took the cloth
da vidi dá ne bude izъgnílo to see if the wheat had rotted

i tvorí známeníę í čudesá and creates omens and miracles?
111: posle íwvo wzrave Then Job recovered
112: i dobi poveče stoká and he got more stock
113: i dobí poveče srebro i zláto and he got more silver and gold
114: i dobì drugi sínove i dъštérî and he got other sons and daughters
115: razumex͛ti li xr͒tięne Did you understand, Christians?
116: tovâ bg҃ь javí da vídimo níe i da veruvámo gd͒a nášego ïis͂a, xr͒tá i dáržíimo st҃i praznici God showed this for us to see and believe our God Jesus Christ and to hold the holy holidays
117: dostá su námъ u nédela ta šesъ dní dá rábotímo To work six days a week is pretty much for us
118: sedmí denъ st҃uju nedelju dá práznuvamo let us celebrate the seventh day, the holy Sunday
