| 1: | Жӥтӥе преподобнаѧ параскева | [Title] Life (of) the Reverend Parascheva |
| 2: | всѣхъ православнаѧ вѣра що сме да пофалӥме бога ӥ светцӥ божӥ | All those of the Orthodox faith, let us praise God and His saints! |
| 3: | това намъ потребно естъ | that is important for us |
| 4: | тӥѧ светӥхъ ꙋгоднӥцӥ що гӥ празнꙋваме | these saints, whom we celebrate |
| ӥ тӥѧ людӥ бӥле жӥвеале | these people had (really) lived | |
| 5: | бӥле како насъ | they were (the same) as us |
| 6: | а сега ӥмаа пофала ӥ ѿъ бога ӥ ѿъ насъ | and now they have (ʺwere havingʺ?) praise both from God and from us |
| 7: | достоӥнӥ бӥле | they were worthy |
| 8: | ӥ се молӥле богꙋ | and they prayed to God |
| 9: | не саде мꙋшка пола но ӥ женска | (they were) not only of the male, but also of the female sex |
| 10: | днешнаѧ светаѧ параскева голꙋбӥца хрӥстова | Parascheva, today's saint, (was the) dove of Christ |
| 11: | ꙋ неӥзӥно време кога бӥла на ѡвѧ светъ | in her time, as she was in this world |
| све богꙋ се молӥла | she only prayed to God | |
| 12: | ӥ е прӥмалъ богъ моленӥе то | and God did accept her prayer |
| 13: | ӥ ѧ прославӥлъ ӥ на небо ӥ на землѧ | and He glorified her both in the heavens and on the Earth |
| 14: | тѣло неӥзӥно е целокꙋпно | her body is healthy (did not rot) |
| 15: | послꙋшаӥте да ꙋчете чꙋдеса | hear, so that you learn (about) miracles! |
| 16: | ꙋ земла сербска блӥзꙋ прӥ града калӥкратӥѧ | in the Serbian country, next to the city of Kallikratia |
| бӥло некое село го вӥкале епӥфатъ | there was a village called Epibates | |
| 17: | ꙋ тоа село се родӥла светаѧ параскева | St Parascheva was born in this village |
| ѡдъ блага лоза ӥ одъ татка ӥ ѡдъ майка | from a good vine, from a (good) father and mother | |
| 18: | ходӥле по заповедъ божӥ | they followed divine commandments |
| 19: | пощо бӥле ѡнӥ достоӥнӥ | that's why they were worthy |
| 20: | ӥ чедо то го наꙋчӥле на богомолсто | and they taught the child to pray |
| 21: | ӥмъ дошло време | their time came |
| 22: | се преставӥле ѡнӥ во небеснӥ ѡбӥтелъ | they presented themselves in the heavenly dwellings |
| 23: | ѧ ѡставӥле ꙋ домъ | they left her in their house |
| да повела со брата неӥзӥного ефтӥмӥѧ | to live (ʺspeakʺ?) with her brother Euthymius | |
| що бӥлъ тоӥ после епӥскопъ мадӥтӥискӥ | who later became the Bishop of Madit | |
| 24: | ӥ много преславнаѧ чꙋдеса ꙋчӥнӥлъ во жӥвот та неговъ | and he performed many miracles in his life |
| 25: | светаѧ параскева како бӥла достоена чӥнӥла богомолство | St Parascheva prayed (ʺdid prayersʺ), as she was worthy |
| 26: | ѡставӥла домъ | she left (her) house |
| 27: | ѿӥшла во пꙋстӥнӥ ꙋ планӥна | she went to the desert in the mountains |
| да постӥ ӥ да се молӥ богꙋ | to fast and to pray to God | |
| 28: | рамно со анћелӥ седала | she sat as equal with the angels |
| 29: | ӥ ѡна догӥнѧла како боговӥдцꙋ ӥлӥю ӥ светомꙋ ӥѡоанꙋ крстӥтелю | and she was catching up (ʺasʺ) with Prophet Elijah and St John the Baptist |
| 30: | трава ѧле | she ate grass |
| 31: | со тоа жӥвеале | with that she lived |
| 32: | коӥ може да ӥскаже неӥзӥнӥ метанӥе ӥ на гола земла леганѣ | who could tell of her bowing and laying on the naked ground? |
| 33: | саде ѡко бжӥѡ га гледало | only the eye of God saw her |
| 34: | ӥ мӥслӥла какофъ џоапъ хрӥстꙋ богꙋ ке дадемо | and she thought what reply we (?) will give to Christ the God |
| ӥ да чꙋе сладкӥ гласъ неговӥ | and to hear his sweet voice | |
| 35: | тогаӥ дӥаволъ е завӥдӥлъ | then the Devil became jealous |
| 36: | е се ѧвӥлъ како срашнӥ зверӥ | he appeared (in the form of) terrible beasts (to her?) |
| 37: | а ѡна се прекръстӥла | but she crossed herself |
| 38: | не чӥстӥ дӥаволъ како паꙋчӥна се растꙋраше | the unclean Devil fell apart as some spider web |
| 39: | мӥлостӥвомꙋ богꙋ мꙋ се дожалӥ | merciful God pitied her |
| 40: | е пратӥлъ анћела ѿ ѡблацӥ | He sent an angel from the clouds |
| да е реча | to tell her: | |
| 41: | да ѡставӥшъ пꙋстӥнӥ жӥтелъ | ʺleave your desert dwellingʺ |
| 42: | да ӥдешъ ꙋ татковӥна тӥ твоа | ʺgo to your fatherlandʺ |
| 43: | подобно е тебе да ѡдадешъ тамо тело твое | ʺyou should leave your body thereʺ |
| а дꙋхъ твої да поїде на анћелское селенїе | ʺbut your spirit should be in the angelic dwellingsʺ | |
| 44: | ї ѡна ѡставїла пꙋстїное место | and she left her place in the desert |
| 45: | ї ѿїшла ꙋ царїграда во церква светаѧ софїѧ | and she went to Tsarigrad, to the church of St Sophia |
| 46: | ѿ тамо ѿишла ꙋ таткоїна та сї | from there she went to her fatherland |
| 47: | мало време жївеала | she lived for a short time |
| 48: | а богомолъсто не пременїла | and she didn't change the prayer (for anything else) |
| 49: | дошло е време да предаде дꙋша богꙋ | (then the) time came to give the soul to God |
| 50: | ї тело е закопале на не їзбрано место | and they buried her body on an indefinite place |
| 51: | блїзꙋ е некої поснїкъ ꙋ пещера постїлъ | in the vicinity, a hermit fasted in a cave |
| 52: | се слꙋчїло | it happened |
| 53: | некої со гемїѧ плївалъ по море | somebody sailed with a ship on the sea |
| 54: | ꙋ гемїѧ та їмало некої човекъ ꙋмрелъ | in the ship there was a dead man |
| 55: | го фрълїле на краї прї море то | they threw him on the side of the sea |
| 56: | се ѡсмердїло тело то негово | his body began to stink |
| 57: | поснико тъ повелелъ на некої человецї да закопаа ѡної смердлївъ трꙋпъ | the hermit commanded some people to bury the stinking corpse |
| 58: | копаїкї гробо наїдоа тѣло не їзгнїено | as they dug, they found an undecayed body |
| 59: | не предꙋмеле е лї е светло това тѣло | they did not think about the holiness (ʺlightnessʺ) of that body |
| 60: | токꙋ го ставїле на дно то | they just left it on the (grave) floor |
| 61: | некої ѿ тїѧ людї що нашле тело то | one of the people who found that body |
| ї едного вїкале ћорћїѧ | (ʺandʺ) he was called Georgi | |
| 62: | мꙋ се казала на сонъ царїца со светлї алїща | a queen with shining clothes appeared to him in the dream |
| 63: | ї мꙋ рекла | and she said to him: |
| 64: | ћорћїе що тꙋрївте ѡнїа смердлївъ трꙋпъ на мое смїрено тело | ʺGeorgi, why did you throw that stinking corpse on my resting body?ʺ |
| 65: | ї некоа жена га вїкале ефїмїѧ | also one woman called Efimia |
| ї ѡна тоа вїденїе вїдела | she, too, saw such a vision | |
| 66: | на ꙋтро то ѡба кажꙋале како чꙋле | in the morning both told (to all) what they heard |
| 67: | людї се стерчале | people assembled |
| 68: | ї се радꙋале како азно кога ї нашле | and they were happy for the treasure they found |
| 69: | га ѡднеле ꙋ церква светї апостолъ петеръ ї павелъ ꙋ село епїфатъ | they brought it to the church of St Apostles Peter and Paul in the village of Epibates |
| 70: | много чꙋдеса чїнїла тамо | she performed many miracles there |
| 71: | па тоа много не е време замїнало | afterwards not much time has passed |
| 72: | їмало некої благочестїфъ їѡанъ кралъ бꙋлгарскї ї сесбъскї | there was one honorable John, King of Bulgaria and Serbia |
| 73: | чꙋлъ за тїѧ светї мощї | he heard about those holy relics |
| 74: | многꙋ мꙋ се ѡмїлеле | they were much to his liking |
| 75: | пратїл блаженаго марка епїскопа | (so) he sent the blessed bishop Marko |
| 76: | ї со дрꙋгї свещенїкї гї пренесле чеснїѧ мощї ѿ епїфатъ во болгарска земла | and with other priests, they brought the true relics from Epibates to the Bulgarian land |
| ꙋ гратъ тръново | into the city of Tarnovo | |
| 77: | ї гї поставїле ꙋ церква | and they placed them in a church |
| 78: | ї тамо многꙋ чꙋдеса чїнїла | and she performed many miracles there |
| 79: | по тоа време станале тꙋрцї ѿ шамъ | afterwards the Turks have risen from Sham (Syria) |
| 80: | воїска со цара селїма зеле землѧ гръческа | the armies of (ʺwithʺ) the king Selim took the land of Greece |
| ї себъска ї болгарста | and also the Serbian and Bulgarian (land) | |
| 81: | нападнале ꙋ града терново | they attacked the (ʺatʺ) city of Tarnovo |
| 82: | све е стока пограбїле | they looted everything |
| 83: | ї по церкве стребро га земале | and they took even the silver from the churches |
| 84: | ї свѣтеї мощї гї дїгнале | and they took the relics of the Saint (Parascheva) |
| 85: | гї ѡднене ꙋ царїгратъ | they brought them to Tsarigrad |
| 86: | гї поставїле ꙋ сараї свої | they placed them in their palace |
| 87: | ї пакъ тамо чꙋдеса чїнїле | and she did the miracles there then |
| 88: | не салде хрїстѧнї се поклонꙋале | not only Christians bowed to her |
| 89: | но ї тꙋрцї прїѡћале | but even Turks were coming |
| 90: | пакї царо тъ гї далъ на патрїка | so the king gave them to the Patriarch |
| 91: | гї ставїле ꙋ церква патрїчка | they put them to the patriarchal church |
| 92: | некої благочестївъ їѡанъ воївода ѿ молдавска землѧ многꙋ їмалъ любовъ за тїѧ свѣтї мощї | (then) one blessed John, the Voivod of (ʺfromʺ) the land of Moldavia hat much love for those holy relics |

| 94: | молба та негоа мꙋ прошла | his request passed |
| 95: | мꙋ гї пратїлъ тїѧ свѣтї мощї | he sent to him those holy relics |
| 96: | трї мїтрополїтї | three metropolites |
| їѡанїкїа їраклїнскаго парѳенїѧ андрїанополскї ї ѳеѡфана палеѡпронскї | Joannicius of Heraclion, Parthenius of Adrianople and Theophanes of Old Patras | |
| гї ѡднеле ꙋ малданска землѧ ꙋ гратъ ѧшъ | (they) brought them to the Moldavian land, to the city of Jassy | |
| 97: | гї поставїле ꙋ церква кеде бїле трї светїтелеї со големъ радосъ ї со многꙋ почестъ | they placed them in the church (ʺwhere wereʺ) of the Three Apostles with great joy and respect |
