11: ʾi uze mu sáru stopánicu, And he took Sarah, (his) wife, from him.
12: togíva prïidoxu ʾávraamu; dve skrьbi Then, two sorrows came to Abraham.
13: ʾedno First,
14: dostíže u čuždu ze-Mlju he reached a foreign land.
15: ʾá drugo And second,
16: uzexa mu stopánicu ̉ they took his wife.
17: i bg̃ь ml͒tivi skoro zaprati ʾág͂gela svoego And soon, the merciful God sent His angel.
18: ʾi ʾjávi se na snь ʾávimeléxu cr̃u And he appeared to King Abimelech in dream.
19: ʾi reče mu And he said to him:
20: Wnaʾjá žena što sï ju uzelь wt wnogóva čuždin͛ca čl̃veka ʺThat woman, which you have taken from that foreigner,ʺ
skoro da mu ju pratiš ʺmay you return her to him soon!ʺ
21: ʾi cr̃ь pomisli And the king thought.
22: ʾi reče ʾág̃gelu And he said to the angel:
23: ʾwnja čuždinecь reče ʺThat foreigner said:ʺ
24: sestra mï e taja žena, ʺThat woman is my sister.ʺ
25: ta zatova mu ju ʾi ʾjá uzéxь ʺThus I took her from him.ʺ
26: no ʾjá nikakvo ne pružixь ruku moju na njù ʺBut I did not stretch my hand on her in any way.ʺ
27: ʾi prostí me ʾáñgele bž͂ïĭ ʺAnd forgive me, o angel of God!ʺ
28: zašto ne sotvorix dobro ʺFor I did not do (what is) good.ʺ
29: ta ju uzexь ʺAs (?) I took her.ʺ
30: ʾi samь gd͒ь ʾjávi se, Cr̃u na snь And the Lord himself appeared to the king in a dream.
31: ʾi reče And He said:
32: razberí se cr̃u da ne wskrьbišь ʾónogova čl͂veka ʺTake care (?), o king, so that you don't make that man sad.ʺ
33: zašto kóĭ ʾwskrьbi togova stránago čl͂veka mene ʾwskrьbuetь ʺBecause who makes that strange man sad, will make Me sad.ʺ
34: zašto e toʾja čl̃vekь, prorokь ʺBecause that man is a prophet,ʺ

40: kogi se razbudi cr̃ь wt sьnь uplaši se zle wt sьnь što beše videlь When the king woke up from the dream, he became very afraid from the dream, which he had seen.
41: ʾi skoro zaprati slugi And, soon, he sent servants.
42: ʾi dovedoxu ʾávrama predь cr͂a And they brought Abraham in front of the king.
43: ʾi reče mu cr̃ь And the king said to him:
44: zašto takoi sьtvori čl̃veče bï̃i ʺWhy did you do so, o man of God?ʺ
45: ʾi privelь esi na méne srьd͛bu bž̃iju; ʺYou have thus brought wrath of God on me.ʺ
46: ʾi ništo ne bex͛ ti sogrešílь ʺAnd I had not done you any harm!ʺ
47: togiva ʾávramь réče Then, Abraham said:
48: cr̃u na čuždu zemlju bex ʺO king, I was in a strange land.ʺ
49: ʾi ubojax͛ se wt samrьtь ʺAnd I feared death.ʺ
50: zatova rekoxь ʺThat is why I said:ʺ
51: Sestra mï e ʺShe is my sister.ʺ
52: togiva se cr̃ь umilostivi; na dumi te ʾávramovi Then, the king became merciful, because of the words of Abraham,
i na negovo smirenïe ʾi na ml͒tivь pogledь ʾávrámovь as well as his peacefulness and merciful stare of Abraham.
53: ʾi dade mu cr̃ь *#a* žlьtíci And the king gave him 1000 gold coins.
54: ʾi dade mu ʾwv͛ci *#a* And he gave to him 1000 sheep.
55: ʾi wt svekakva stoka mu dáde And he gave him from all kinds of goods.
56: ʾi da-de mu róbie ʾi robin͛ki And he gave him (male and female) servants.
57: ʾi dade mu sàru negovu stopánicu And he gave him Sarah, his wife.
58: ʾi mlogo nešto daruva cr̃ь ʾávramu And the king gave many (other) things as gifts to Abraham.
59: ʾi reče mu And he said to him:
60: ljubimïče ʾávrame koé ti mésto xarekše támo da sedíšь da se vesélišь ʺO Abraham, my beloved, whichever place you like, stay there to be happy!ʺ
61: ʾi da ti dadem golema volja nikóĭ tebe da ne ʾwzlobitь ʺAnd may I give you great power, so that no one becomes hostile against you.ʺ
62: ʾi zaradi ʾávrama daruva bg̃ь mlogo leta cr̃u avimeléxu And, because of Abraham, God gave many years (of life) to King Abimelech.
63: takoi, vosxotè bg̃ь Thus God wanted.
64: ʾi takóĭ sotvori And thus He had done.
65: vidite li xr͒tiani koito se nadejutь na mílostivago bg̃a kakvo ĭmь bg̃ь skoro pomognetь Do you see, o Christians, how soon God helps those, who set their hopes on the merciful God?
66: ʾi lesno bg̃ь ʾwbogatva človeka kóĭ xódi po zakonь bž͂ïĭ And God easily makes rich the man, who walks by the Law of God.
67: ʾi samь gd͒ь réče And Lord Himself said:
68: ʾávrame ʾizlezni wt zémlju tvoju ʾi wt roditele tvóĭ ʺO Abraham, leave your (home)land and your parents!ʺ
69: ʾi ja xoštemь da budemь sásь tebè ʺAnd I will be with you.ʺ
70: ʾi xoštem͛ te nastavíti gde xóčešь do starosti živéti ʺAnd I will direct you, where you will live until old age.ʺ
71: ʾi dade mu bg̃ь ne izréčeno dobro u ruke And God gave him unspeakable goods into (his) hands.
72: ʾi sede And he sat.
73: ʾi veselí se dogde ʾostare And he was happy, until he became old.
74: ʾI kogi ʾwstare ◄ ʾávramь pomísli da ʾwžéni sína svoego ʾiïsaka And when he became old, Abraham thought about wedding his son Isaac.
75: ʾi sakaše da uzme sinu svoemu nevestu wt róda xananʿeiska And he wanted to take a bride of the Canaanite kin for his son.
76: [ʾisakь sinь; ʾávraamovь ♣] [Picture Text] Isaac, son of Abraham
77: ʾi prizova ʾednógo veʾrnagw sluga svoègo And he summoned one of his loyal servants.
78: zašto avramь ʾimaše *tiı* róbie Because Abraham had 318 servants.
79: ʾi reče tomuva veʾrnomu slugu And he said to that loyal servant,
da ĭdetь u potamíju u baštinu drьžávu ʾávramovu; to go to (Meso)potamia, to the fatherland of Abraham,
da ʾizbere nevestu za ʾiïsaka to choose a bride for Isaac.
80: vidite li Do you see?
81: va staro vréme ne sakaxu mlogo bolʾjárstvo čl͂veku niti xubava premena In old times, they did not want pride/noble origin (from) a man, nor nice clothes.
82: no sakaxu dš̃evna xubostь da ĭmatь But they wanted him to have beauty of the soul,
ʾi wt dobra róda da bude and to be from a good family,
ʾi wt mьnečko da e učeno na zakonь bž̃ïĭ and to be taught from smallest (childhood) to Law of God.
83: ʾI dade ʾávramь na ver͛nago sluga, tri kamíli, And Abraham gave three camels to the loyal servant.
84: ʾi natovari na kamili te nekolíko dári And he loaded some presents on the camels.
85: ʾi dade mu dva raba And he gave him two servants.
86: pa kogì poĭde ver͛nïw sluga wnь réče And when the loyal servant went, he said:
87: gd͒ine ʾávrame gdè mogu ʾázь ʾizbrati nevéstu koja šte tebe bíti ugódna ʺO lord Abraham, where can I find a bride, which would be pleasing to you?ʺ
88: togíva réče ʾávramь Abraham then said:
89: ti ʾotidi ʺYou (just) go!ʺ
90: ʾi bg̃ь xóštetь ʾizbráti ʺAnd God will chose.ʺ
91: ʾi ōtide sluga va grádь naxórь gdeto beše brátь ʾávramovь And the servant went to the city of Nahor, where the brother of Abraham was (living).
92: ʾi stanu sluga sasь, kamili te na kráĭ gradь pri ʾedinь; kledenecь And the servant stopped with his camels at the edge of the city next to a well.
93: ʾi moleše se bg̃u And he prayed to God.
94: ʾi takoĭ, dumaše And thus he spoke:
95: bž̃e ʾávramovь ʾísakovo molenïe ʾisplьni ʾi avramu gd͒inu moemu ʺO God of Abraham, fulfill the prayers of Isaac and Abraham, my master!ʺ
96: takoĭ se bg̃u pomoli sluga ʾávraamov Thus prayed the servant of Abraham to God.
97: ʾi doĭde devica reveka na kladenecь; da črьpétь vódu And the maiden Rebecca came to the well to draw water.
98: ʾá wnja sluga ʾávramov sakaše da ĭspita devicu And that servant of Abraham wanted to test the maiden,
da vídi dali, ʾima smireno srdce ʾi pokorenïe to see, whether she has a peaceful heart and humbleness,
ʾi čuždi-n͛ci dali miluva and whether she is merciful to strangers.
99: ʾi réče i sluga And the servant said to her:
100: daĭ mi device vodu da sè napièmь ʺO maiden, give us water, so that we drink a bit!ʺ
101: ʾi ʾwna skoro dade mu vodu And soon she gave him water.
102: ʾi napi se And he drank.
103: ʾi páki reče i And, again, he said to her:
104: device naplьni korito, da pijutь ʾi kamili te ʺO maiden, fill the trough, so that the camels can drink too!ʺ
105: ʾi paki skoro naplьni korito And again, she quickly filled the trough.
106: napoi ĭ kamili te And she gave drink to the camels too.
107: togiva se počudixu ʾávramovi te čl̃veci koliko e razumna bila devica reveka Then the Abraham's men were amazed, how prudent is the maiden Rebecca.
108: kogi vídoxu če e dobroumna devica ʾoni počexu da ju pituvatь As they saw, that she is a well-minded maiden, they began to ask her:
109: ʾimaš li ʾoc͂a ti device ʺO maiden, do you have a father?ʺ
110: ʾonà reče She said:
111: ʾimam ʾi oc͂a ʾi maĭku ʺI have both a father and a mother.ʺ
112: ʾá imate li mesto za na͒ ʾi za kamili te (And they said:) ʺDo you have place for us and the camels?ʺ
113: wna veselo produmà, She answered happily:
114: ʾimamo mesto ʾi za vasь ʾi za kamili t ʺWe have place for both you and the camels.ʺ
115: i po tova ju͒ poznaxu če xoče da bude; nevesta ʾisaaku sinu ʾavramovu Then they recognized (?) her, that she will be the bride of Isaac, son of Abraham.
116: ʾi paki pita ju ʾávramovь sluga And again, the servant of Abraham asked her:
117: kakvo e ʾime oc͂u tvoemu device ʺWhat is the name of your father, o maiden?ʺ
118: ʾóna reče She said:
119: ʾoc͂u moemu ʾime e͒ tatuilь mel͛xewvь ʺMy father's name is Bethuel, (son) of Milcah.ʺ
120: ʾi paki pita ju sluga ʾávramovь And again the servant of Abraham asked her:
121: ʾá imate li xrána za kámili te ʺAnd do you have fodder for the camels?ʺ
122: ʾá wna reče And she said:
123: ʾi xrana ʾimamo ʺWe have fodder,ʺ
124: ʾi mesto široko ʾi-mamo ʺand we have a lot of space.ʺ
125: toko vie dóĭdete na domь, našь ʺYou just come to our house!ʺ
126: vidite li kakva nauka ʾimaše wt baštu ʾi wt maĭku devíca reveka Do you see, what teaching had the maiden Rebecca from (her) father and mother?
127: da znaete kakvà beše xubava devica revéka May you know, how beautiful the maiden Rebecca was!
128: Vídite li s kakvo srebrò ʾi zla-to béxa ju premeníli noĭni rodítele Do you see, with what kind of silver and gold her parents had adorned her?
129: kogi dóĭde devica revéka wt kladenecь ʾwstavi vodu u xížu When maiden Rebecca came home from the well, she left the water in the house.
130: ʾi dóĭdoxu ʾónïja čuždin͛ci And those strangers came.
131: ʾi stanáxu predъ vráta domu And they stood in front of the doors of the house.
132: ʾizleze reveka Rebecca went out.
133: ʾi poklo-ni se predь níxь And she bowed in front of them.
134: ʾi reče ʾimь And she said to them:
135: gospodïne što stoĭte tuka ʺGentlemen, why do you stand here?ʺ
136: toʾjá domь e vašь ʺThis house is yours.ʺ
137: kogi ulezoxu ʾónija čl̃veci u dómь revéka prinése vodu When those men entered the house, Rebecca brought water.
138: ʾi wmi im nozé te And she washed their feet.
139: ʾi priniknu And she leaned closer.
140: ʾi celova imь noze te And she kissed their feet.
141: ʾi prinese trьpeza And she brought a table.
142: ʾi reče sluga ta ʾavramovь na nóinago oc͂a And the Abraham's servant said to her father:
143: čl͂veče, bž͂ïĭ ʾimamo nešto da ti rečemo ʺO man of God, we have something to tell you.ʺ
144: pa togíva složéte trьpeza ʺPlace the table afterwards!ʺ
145: ʾá baštà i reče And her father said:
146: što štéte da mi rečéte ʺWhat are you going to tell me?ʺ
147: ʾwni rekoxu They said:
148: znaete li ʾávráma ʺDo you know Abraham?ʺ
149: ʾi ѳatuĭlь reče And Bethuel said:
150: mlogo čl̃veci podь nb̃sa ʾima ʺThere are many people under the sky.ʺ
151: ʾi ne znáemo nïę ʾávraama ʺAnd we don't know Abraham.ʺ
152: nie smo wt nego dopráteni (The servants said:) ʺWe have been sent by him.ʺ
153: ʾi reče ni da mu naĭdemo nevestu za sina svoego isaka ʺAnd he told us to find a bride for his son Isaac.ʺ
154: ʾi tvoè čedo naĭdoxme na kládenecь ʺAnd we found your child at the well.ʺ
155: ʾi produma namь mir͛ni réči ʺAnd she told us words of peace.ʺ

161: i dadoxu devici And they gave (the presents) to the maiden.
162: ʾi daruvaxu i baštù ʾi maĭku devicinu ʾi svi te srodnici revekini; And they gave presents to the father and the mother of the maiden, and to all the relatives of Rebecca.
163: ʾi razdadoxu dárove te And (thus) they gave the presents.

174: ʾi što se poródi wt tébe ʾi wno da bude bl͂gosloveno wt ml͒tivago bg̃a; ʺAnd, what is born by yourself, may it be blessed by the merciful God too!ʺ
175: ʾi celuva reveka desnícu ʾóc͂u svoemu And Rebecca kissed his father's right hand.
176: ʾi ukači se na kamilu And she mounted a camel.
177: ʾi noĭni poslúšnici povedoxu devícu reveku And her followers lead the maiden Rebecca.

187: ʾi xodì peši dogdè prïide blízu prì iïsaka; And she went on foot, until she came close to Isaac.
188: ʾi pókloní mu se dó zemlju And she bowed to him to the ground.
189: ʾi celiva mu; desnìcu And she kissed his right hand.
190: ʾi onь ju fanu za ruku And he took her by hand.
191: ʾi zavede ju u domь ʾoc͂a svóego And he brought her to the house of his father.
192: togiva, ʾizleze ʾávramь rádostenь Then Abraham went out with joy.
193: ʾi posrešnu gi And he met them.
194: ʾi bl̃gosloví gi And he blessed them.
195: ʾi daruva gi srebro ʾi zlato dovol͛no And he gave them a lot of silver and gold as presents.
196: ʾi tojá denь sotvorì ʾávramь ʾizobílna trьpéza And on that day, Abraham made a lavish table (feast).
197: ʾi prizova síroti ʾi siromási And he invited poor women and poor men.
198: ʾi gosti gi And he made them his guests.
199: ʾi napoĭ gi And he gave them drinks.
200: ʾi mlogo ĭmь milwstinʾjá dade And he gave them a lot of alms.
201: ʾi reče ʾávramь, na sirotici te ʾi na siromasi te And Abraham said to the poor women and poor men:
202: ʾw sozdánïe bž̃ïe moléte se ʾi vie ml͒tivomu bg̃u za sína moego ʾiïsaka ʾi za reveku ʾisakovu nevéstu ʺO creatures of God, you, too, pray to the merciful God for my son Isaac, and for Rebecca, the bride of Isaac!ʺ
203: ʾi ʾwnìja sirómasi bl͂godaríxu bg̃a And those poor ones thanked God.
204: ʾi bl͂gslovíxu mladen͛ci ʾisaka ʾi reveku And they blessed the young (?) Isaac and Rebecca.
205: ʾi dade im bg̃ь mlogo srebrò ʾi zláto And God gave them a lot of silver and gold.
206: ʾi daruvà ʾimь bg̃ь dnì dlьgi ʾi živótь bl̃gь meždu níxь And God gave them long days and a life (full of) happ(iness) between them.
207: ʾi dostofal͛no počitaxu baštu ʾi maĭku And they respected the father and the mother worthily of praise.
208: zašto ĭmь béše dalь, bg͂ь razumь, bl͂gь Because God had given them great prudence.
209: razumex͛te li xrìstiʾjáni kakóvь godešь ʾwni sotvorixu Did you understand, o Christians, what kind of betrothal they made,
ʾi kakva ženidba ʾwni wtvrьšíxu and what kind of wedding they finished?
210: ʾá nia u náši te vrémena pravimo svad͛bi sásь svir͛ki ʾi sasь; tupane djavolski ʾi sasь pésni besovьski And we, in our times, do weddings with flutes, and with devilish drumming, and with demonic songs!
211: ʾi nikakva pomoštь ne ĭma wt, svir͛ki ʾi wt pésni And there is no help form flutes and songs.
212: ʾi koe bl͂goslovenïe xoštetь da prïidetь na mladen͛ci wt svir͛ki ï wt tupane ʾi wt ʾigrì ʾi wt pesni demon͛ski And what blessing will come to the couple (?) from flutes and drumming and dances and demonic songs?
213: no razumeite čístw, kakvo sьvrьši ʾávraamь svad͛bu But understand, how purely (?) made Abraham the wedding!
214: tako dlь´žni ʾesmi ʾi nïę da tvorime Thus we, too, are obliged to do.
215: i da dademo bg̃u slávu vo veki vekov And (we are also obliged) to give God glory forever.
