| 2: | бе́ше не́кои чл҃векь | [Title] There was a man. |
| 3: | Име мꙋ бе́ше григо́риа | His name was Gregory. |
| 4: | ҆и ҆ꙗ́ко бе́ше хꙋбавь на лицѐ | And he was very pretty in face. |
| 5: | ѿ село пилꙋса | (He was) from the village of Pilusa. |
| 6: | та го наклевети́хꙋ цр҃ꙋ че сѐ не по́клáнꙗ́ нӑ идоле | So, they accused him of not bowing to idols. |
| 7: | та го фанáхꙋ за глáвни ко́си | So they seized him by the hair. |
| 8: | ҆и трꙋтихá го на ҆ѡстри шил͛ци жиле́зни | And they impaled him on sharp iron stakes. |
| 9: | ҆и поче́хꙋ: да го би́ють сáсь волов͛ски жи́ли страшно без ми́лости | And they began to beat him with oxen sinews, terribly, mercilessly. |
| 10: | по́сле го ҆ѡбесѝхꙋ на дрьво | Then they hanged him on a tree. |
| 11: | ҆и сáсь вьдици́ мꙋ ки́нехꙋ тело́ то | And they were tearing his body with hooks. |
| 12: | ҆и сáсь камене мꙋ строши́хꙋ кости́ те | And they broke his bones with stones. |
| 13: | ҆á една женà са͒ едно̀ ҆ѡко сле́па ѿ мьнечко стой тамо | And one woman, blind on one eye since childhood, stood there. |
| 14: | та гле́да какво биют ҆и мꙋчать ст҃аго | And she looked how they beat and torment the saint. |
| 15: | ҆и ѡна ҆имаше ҆ꙗ́дь на нѐго | And she was angry with him. |
| 16: | ҆и гро́зно гле́даше ст҃аго григо́рию | And she was looking terribly on St. Gregory. |
| 17: | вели́ко не́кое чꙋдо сотвори́ се | A great miracle happened. |
| 18: | ҆и ҆ѡна бе́ше ꙋзе́ла пи́лꙋ | And she had taken a saw. |
| 19: | та стрꙋ́жеше ст҃аго | And she was ripping the saint. |
| 20: | ско́чи кап͛ка крьвь ꙋ ҆око̀ женѐ | A drop of blood fell into the eye of the woman. |
| 21: | ҆ѡле чꙋдесà | O, what a miracle! |
| 22: | про́зре са͒ ҆о́ко женà | The woman started to see with the eye! |
| 23: | ҆и ст҃ь ҆и се дарꙋва | And the light was given to her. |
| 24: | ҆и потом ст҃омꙋ глáвꙋ ѿсе́кохꙋ | And then they cut off the head of the saint. |
| 25: | ҆и предаде сво́ю̀ дш҃ꙋ бг҃ꙋ | And he gave over his soul to God. |
| 26: | по́сле ҆о́нáѧ женà пока҆ꙗ́ се | Afterwards, the woman repented. |
| 27: | и непрестáно бг҃а мо́леше | And she prayed to God without stopping. |
| 28: | ҆и ҆ѡна повер͛ва вь х͒а | And she started to believe in the Christ. |
| 29: | ҆и ҆ѡтидѐ мꙋ́жь но́ен(ь) | And her husband went out. |
| 30: | ҆и рече ̉ | And he said: |
| 31: | ѡ цр҃ꙋ жена мо́ꙗ пощо́ хꙋли наши вели́ки бг҃ове | ʺO Emperor, my wife slanders our great gods!ʺ |
| 32: | ҆и поменꙋва ҆име хр͒то́во | ʺAnd she worships the name of the Christ.ʺ |
| 33: | ҆ꙗ́ ви́димь | ʺI see!ʺ |
| 34: | и ҆ѡко ю просвети́хꙋ бо́гове наши | ʺOur gods even put light to her eye.ʺ |
| 35: | ҆ѡна рꙋгáе на них | ʺ(But) she blasphemes against them!ʺ |
| 36: | ҆á хр͒тꙋ распе́томꙋ поклáнꙗ се | ʺAnd she bows to the Christ the Crucified!ʺ |
| 37: | ҆и ре́че цр҃ь | And the Emperor said, |
| 38: | ҆и прїве́дохꙋ женꙋ̀ тꙋ | and they brought the woman. |
| 39: | ҆и поведе | And (t)he(y) led (her?) |
| 40: | ҆и ѿсекохꙋ ҆и ной чт͒нꙋю глáвꙋ | And they cut off her honorable head too. |
| 41: | ҆и скон͛ча се вь бл҃гоче́стїе | And she ended her life in piety. |
| 42: | ҆и предáде бг҃ꙋ дш҃ꙋ (свою) | And she gave over her soul to God. |
| 43: | ҆и ꙋспе са ми́ромь дх҃омь ст҃имь | And she fell asleep in peace, (with?) Holy Spirit. |
