3: | Возлюбле́ни мо́й брáтиꙗ | My beloved brothers, |
ко́й ѿ вáсь ҆има сꙋе́тно богат͛ство мло́го ҆илѝ: мáлко | whoever of you has vain wealth, a lot or a little, | |
не прилáгаите срдце вáше на него | do not put your heart on it! | |
4: | защо̀ на богáтаство слáва прехо́дит[...], | Because the glory of wealth perishes. |
5: | и ҆и све́ка хꙋ́бось сре́брена ҆и злáтена [тоа] прохо́ди́ть | And all the beauty of silver and gold, that (?) perishes. |
6: | и разносит͛ се | And it is carried away. |
7: | ҆и защо̀ тол͛кова трꙋди се чл҃векь да спечáли мло́го ҆имане | And why does the man work so much to gain a lot of wealth? |
8: | пощо̀ лáкоми[а] | Because (of) greed! |
9: | ҆и кáра се | And he struggles, |
10: | ҆и би́е се догде́ си напль́ни ҆ѡчи ҆и срдце сáсь ҆имане: | and he fights, until he fills his eyes and heart with wealth. |
11: | ҆á когѝ до́йде стрáшни чáсь самрьтнї не мо́же ни мáло нещо дá занесе́ сась се́бе; | And when the terrible time of death comes, he cannot take anything with him. |
12: | нь голѝ хо́чемо да стáнемо пред стрáшное сꙋдище | But we will appear naked in front of the terrible judgement seat. |
13: | тáмо ҆áг҃гели со страхомь пре́дьстоють | Angels stand in front with fear there. |
14: | тáмо престо́ли; стрáшни поставлꙗ́ют се | Terrible thrones are being built there. |
15: | тáмо кни́ги ҆ѡтварают͛ се | Books are being opened there. |
16: | тáмо рекà ҆о́гне́на тече́ть | A fiery river flows there. |
17: | тáмо чрь́вꙗ гим͛жꙋть | The worms swarm there. |
18: | ҆и не ꙋмирáють | And they don't die. |
19: | тамо е ҆и мло́го гльчни тар͛тáрь | The very noise Tartaros is also there. |
20: | тáмо не́престáно скрьжꙋть: диӑволи сáсь зꙋби на нáсь | The devils endlessly gnash their teeth at us there. |
21: | тáмо горки ҆и не ꙋте́шени жáлости ҆и ка҆ꙗ́нїе | There (is) bitter and unquenchable sorrow and regret. |
22: | тамо е не престáни плáчь ҆и риданїе | There is endless cry and weeping. |
23: | тàмо непрестáно воздихáнїе | There (is) endless moaning. |
24: | тамо не ймать ни ҆мало ꙋтеше́нїе ҆и весе́лие | There there is not a bit of consolation and joy. |
25: | ть́кмо; плáчь ҆и ридáнїе | (There is) only cry and weeping. |
26: | тамо не́ ймать ни ма.ло ст҃ь | There is no light, |
27: | но тма ҆и мрáкь | (there is) only darkness. |
28: | тáмо нѐ ймать ҆ѡправданїе | There is no justification, |
29: | но сꙋ́дь ҆и ѡсꙋжде́нїе | but (there is) judgement and sentence. |
30: | тáмо стрáшно е що ви́дишь сáсь ҆ѡчи | There, it is terrible, what you see with the eyes. |
31: | ҆á по стрáшно е що чꙋ́ешь сáсь ҆ꙋши | But it is more terrible, what you hear with the ears. |
32: | когѝ до́йде чáсь | When the time comes, |
ꙋ мигнове́нїе ҆ѡко свàко здáнїе хо́че да ҆ѡживе́е | in a blink of an eye, all the creation will become alive, | |
да стàне, на стрáшное сꙋ́дище | to appear at the terrible judgement seat, | |
да дадѐ бг҃ꙋ џꙋвапь за своѐ де́ло | to give God an answer for its works. | |
33: | тáмо ҆има вели́ки стрáхь ҆и вели́ки трепе́ть | There is a great fear and trembling. |
34: | тоги́ва ꙋ ҆ѡнꙗ вели́ки чáсь нꙋ́жни хо́щꙋть; трꙋби́ла да вастрꙋ́бꙋть | Then, at that great time of need, the trumpets will be blown. |
35: | тоги́ва звезди че дà спáднꙋть ҆ѡ нб҃са | Then, the stars will fall from the heaven. |
36: | тоги́ва ще сльн͛це да помрь́кне | Then, the sun will darken. |
37: | тоги́ва не́бо хоче дá се сви́е | Then, the heavens will fold. |
38: | тоги́ва ҆и землꙗ хо́че да сѐ; доврь́ши | Then, the Earth, too, will end. |
39: | ҆и сви́ ҆áг҃гели со стрáхомь слꙋжꙋть бг҃ꙋ еди́номꙋ | And all the angels serve the One God with fear. |
40: | ҆á серафи́ми хоротꙋють ҆ꙗсно | And the Seraphim speak clearly. |
41: | херꙋви́ми го́ре ҆и доле; фрьчꙋ́ть | The Cherubim fly up and down. |
42: | ҆и тьщꙋт͛ се | And they work hard. |
43: | преѡбрáщать небесà ҆и зелмльна ҆и пре҆исподнꙗꙗ | They transform the Heavens, and the Earth, and the Underworld. |
44: | ҆и све доврьшають | And they end everything. |
45: | ҆и гро́бове ҆ѿварáють | And they open the graves. |
46: | ҆и мрьтви, телà ҆ѡживе́вать | And dead bodies become alive. |
47: | ҆и стáють | And they stand up. |
48: | сꙋди́лища готовлꙗ́ют се | The judgement seats are being prepared. |
49: | тáмо ҆има мло́го стрáхь ҆и не ҆изрече́ни трепе́ть | There is a lot of fear, and unspeakable trembling, |
҆и не доми́сльни; нꙋ́жди ҆и вели́ки поги́бель | and unimaginable needs, and great destruction, | |
҆и вели́ко зло̀нахожде́нїе злополꙋче́нїе ҆и вели́ка мль́ва | and great mishappening, misfortunes, and great murmur. | |
50: | но да послꙋ́шамо проро́ка дани́ла що дꙋ́ма | But let us hear Prophet Daniel, what he does say: |

52: | вь но́щи на сь́нь видох ре́че догдѐ престо́ли постави́ша се | ʺI saw in a dream at night,ʺ he said, ʺas the thrones were built.ʺ |
53: | ҆и поседе не́кои де́нь нá не́го гд͒ь | ʺAnd one day, the Lord sat on it.ʺ |
54: | пре́сто́ль него́вь като; плáмень ҆о́гне́ни | ʺHis throne (was) as a fiery flame.ʺ |
55: | кола та него́ви ҆о́г҃нь палещ | ʺIts wheels (were of) a burning fire.ʺ |
56: | хилꙗ́ди ҆аг҃гели пре́дь; не́го стое́хꙋ | ʺThousands of angels stood in front of Him.ʺ |
57: | ҆и до мрак слꙋжáха мꙋ | ʺAnd they served Him until darkness.ʺ |
58: | ҆и ҆ѡнь на сꙋ́дницꙋ седеше | ʺAnd He sat on a judgement seat.ʺ |
59: | ҆и кнѝги разгнꙋ́ша се | ʺAnd books were opened.ʺ |
60: | рекá ѡгне́на предь престо́ла тече́ть | ʺA river of flame flows in front of the throne.ʺ |
61: | виде́хь ҆ꙗ́ данїйль | ʺ(Thus) saw I, Daniel.ʺ |
62: | ҆и що видох глáвꙋ мою ҆и ꙋмь мо́й замаıӑ се | ʺAnd (from) what I saw, my head and my mind were astonished.ʺ |
63: | що хо́чеме твори́ти когѝ свѝ голѝ предстáнемо пред бг҃а | What we will do, when we all stand, naked, in front of God? |
64: | ҆и свáкомꙋ гре́хь на ши́ю виси́ть | And sin hangs on everyone's back. |
65: | то.ги́ва где́ сꙋ льжо́вни фꙋл͛ници | Where are (going to be) then the false blasphemers? |
66: | ҆ези́кь нихан на ҆ѡгнь ҆хо́че да гори | Their tongue will be burning on a fire! |
67: | тоги́ва на клеветници ꙋста хо́чет да строшꙋть ҆áг҃гле щото стою́ть пре́дь бг҃а | Then, the angels, who stay in front of God, will crush the mouths of slanderers. |
68: | тоги́ва на сребролюб͛ци рꙋ́ке ѿби́ти | Then, the hands of the silver-lovers (will be) sundered. |
69: | висꙋть | They (will?) hang. |
70: | ҆и тресꙋт͛ се | And they (will?) tremble. |
71: | ҆и не могꙋть да ги збе́рꙋть до се́бе | And they (will) not be able to bring them together (?) |
72: | тоги́ва ко҆ито сꙋ ҆о́чи намигвáли сáсь ꙋди́ци хочꙋть да ги ҆извáдꙋть | Then, they will remove the eyes of those, who blinked, with hooks (?) |
73: | где сꙋ тоги́ва ҆оц҃и | Where are (will be?) the eyes? (?) |
74: | где́ сꙋ че́да | Where are the children? |
75: | где́ сꙋ сро́дници | Where are the relatives? |
76: | где ѐ мáйкꙗ | Where is the mother? |
77: | где́ сꙋ люби́маꙗ брáтиꙗ ҆и щото си знаехмо дрꙋжи́на | Where are the beloved brothers and friends, whom we knew? |
78: | где́ сꙋ цр҃ие зе́мльсти | Where are the kings of the Earth? |
79: | где́ е начальство ҆и во́лꙗ | Where is the authority and power? |
80: | где́ е сꙋ́дникь ҆и вели́ко кри́вогле́дникь | Where is the judge and the one looking with skewered eyes (?) ? |
81: | где сꙋ ри́зи ҆и прили́ки | Where are the shirts and ornaments? |
82: | где́ сꙋ хꙋ́бави ҆ѡбꙋщиа ҆и преме́ни ҆и шáрени чорáпи на смрьде́ли но́зе | Where are the beautiful shoes and ornamented and colorful socks on the stinking feet? |
83: | где́ е сва хꙋ́бость; ҆и прили́ка на погáно те́ло | Where is all the beauty and ornaments of the heathenish body? |
84: | где́ е мло́го ҆имане при́печáлено | Where is the lot of property gained by additional work (?) ? |
85: | где́ сꙋ злáтени хꙋбости | Where is the golden beautiful stuff? |
86: | где́ е злáтени ҆и сре́брени зво́коть | Where is the clatter (?) of golden and silver (plates?) ? |
87: | где сꙋ на тьн͛ки прь́сти злáтни прь́стене и безьце́ни кáмене | Where are the golden rings and priceless stones on the delicate fingers? |
88: | где́ сꙋ хꙋбави гради́ни ҆и плодови́ти дрь́вꙗ | Where are the beautiful gardens and fruitful trees? |
89: | где сꙋ ри́зници сась ҆имане | Where are the stashes with property? |
90: | где́ сꙋ срьпїи сáсь хранꙋ̀ | Where are the sickles (?) with food? |
91: | где́ сꙋ ти́а щото не пригле́двахꙋ сиромáси | Where are those, who did not take heed of the poor? |
92: | где́ сꙋ ти́а, щото не почи́тахꙋ бл҃гочести́вꙋ ве́рꙋ | Where are those, who did not respect the true faith? |
93: | где́ сꙋ не вер͛ни прель́шни гото́ви на мꙋче́нїе, | Where are the faithless ones, the deceived ones (?), ready for tortures? |
94: | где́ сꙋ льжи́ви що дꙋмахꙋ | Where are the false ones, who were saying: |
95: | дáй ми дне́ска брáшно ҆или сребро̀ на зáемь | ʺToday, give me flour or silver as a loan!ʺ |
96: | ҆и ютре ꙋзмѝ | ʺAnd tomorrow, take (it back)!ʺ |
97: | ҆и после рече́ть | And then he says: |
98: | ни́що не си́ ми дáль | ʺYou have given me nothing!ʺ |
99: | где́ сꙋ ти́а що сáсь ҆игри ҆ꙗ́дехꙋ ҆и пие́хꙋ | Where are those, who were eating and drinking with dances? |
100: | где́ сꙋ ти́а ко́йто гово́рехꙋ | Where are those, who were saying: |
101: | дне́ска да ҆ꙗ́демо ҆и да пи҆еме | ʺToday, let us eat and drink!ʺ |
102: | ҆и за ꙋтра хо́чемо да ꙋмреме | ʺAnd tomorrow, we will die!ʺ |
103: | где́ сꙋ ти́а що мло́го сме́хь ҆и весел͛бà тво́рехꙋ | Where are those, who were doing much fun and parties? |
104: | ҆á где́ сꙋ ти́а що дꙋмахꙋ | And where are those, who were saying: |
105: | бг҃ь лю́би чл҃веци | ʺGod loves humans.ʺ |
106: | и не хо́щеть мꙋчи́ти ко́й сꙋ гре́шни | ʺAnd (thus), He will not torment (those), who are sinful.ʺ |
107: | где́ сꙋ ти́а щото дꙋ́махꙋ | Where are those, who were saying: |
108: | хо́чемо се пока҆ꙗ́ти | ʺWe will repent!ʺ |
109: | ҆и ни́кáкво не помисли́хꙋ да сѐ покають, | And they did not mind to repent in no way. |
110: | ѡͯ коли́ко хощꙋть тáмо воздихáти | O, how much will they moan there! |
111: | ҆и не щꙋть по́милꙋвáни да бꙋдꙋть ѿ бг҃а | And they will not be forgiven by God. |
112: | тоги́ва хо́чꙋть да речꙋть | Then, they will say: |
113: | на шегà ҆и сась; маскарà погꙋбих͛ме се́бе | ʺWe destroyed ourselves with jokes and fun.ʺ |
114: | ҆ѡ гор͛ко нам | ʺO, woe to us!ʺ |
115: | мно́го лꙋге ꙋчи́хꙋ нáсь | ʺMany people taught us.ʺ |
116: | и ни́кого не послꙋшáх͛ме | ʺAnd we did not listen to anyone.ʺ |
117: | ҆и които нѝ ꙋчехꙋ ми́е ҆и ни́хь ѱꙋвáх͛ме | ʺAnd we even cursed those, who taught us.ʺ |
118: | ҆и добре́ ни покáзвахꙋ прáвило | ʺAnd they were showing us the way well.ʺ |
119: | а нїе не вер͛вахмо | ʺAnd we did not believe.ʺ |
120: | ҆и ѿ писáнїе прельстих͛ме се | ʺAnd we were deceived by the Scripture (?)ʺ |
121: | ѡͯ гор͛ко нáмь | ʺO, woe to us!ʺ |
122: | ви́дите лѝ какво сꙋ праведни сꙋд͛би бж҃їи би́ли | ʺDo you see, how righteous have the judgements of God have been?ʺ |
123: | ҆á ние какво̀ прáви́хмо тáко ҆и наидох͛мо | ʺAnd how we did, thus we found it.ʺ |
124: | ѡͯ те́ш͛ко нáмь; | ʺO, it is hard for us!ʺ |
125: | зарадѝ сꙋе́тное мáло наслажде́нїе погꙋби́хме вечни бл҃гь | ʺFor a bit of vain enjoyment, we lost the eternal bliss.ʺ |
126: | ва мáло вре́ме ҆ѡблених͛мо се | ʺIn a short time, we were lazy.ʺ |
127: | ҆и вь ве́чнаго ҆о́гнꙗ ҆ѡсꙋдих͛мо се; | ʺAnd we doomed ourselves into the eternal fire.ʺ |
128: | хо́чать гре́шни на прáведни да речꙋть | The sinners will tell to the righteous: |
129: | ни́ꙗ не би́хмо досто́йни да прїйдемо вь ве́чнаꙗ бл҃га | ʺWe were not worthy to come to the eternal bliss.ʺ |
130: | защо ви́е не прельсти́сте се; | ʺFor you did not get deceived,ʺ |
какво́то нїѧ сáми се́бе предáдох͛мо нà мꙋче́нїе | ʺas we gave ourselves over to torture.ʺ | |
131: | ҆и плачеме | ʺAnd we weep.ʺ |
132: | ҆и молимо се | ʺAnd we pray.ʺ |
133: | ҆и ни ҆единь; не́ ймать дá помилꙋ́ва нась | ʺAnd not a single one is going to have mercy on us.ʺ |
134: | достигнах͛мо коне́чнаго чáса | ʺWe reached the final hour.ʺ |
135: | Чꙋете ли хр͒тиӑни какво̀ нáмь казꙋва прáвило | Do you hear, o Christians, what does the Law say to us? |
136: | тако̀ ҆и ниꙗ догде сме жи́ви на то́ꙗ ст҃ь да поме́немо ҆име бж҃їе | Thus, may we, too, as long as we are alive in this world, remember the name of God. |
137: | ҆и догдѐ ҆имамо вре́ме да возьдви́гнемо ҆о́чи ҆и рꙋце нáши го́ре ꙋ небесà | And, as long as we have time, let us raise our eyes and hands towards the heavens. |
138: | ҆и да рече́мо | And let us say: |
139: | сп͒и нáсь гд͒и | ʺSave us, o Lord!ʺ |
140: | че погибнах͛мо | ʺBecause we perished (?)ʺ |
141: | ҆и да се поткáнимо | And let us be resolute. |
142: | ҆и да вар͛немо догдѐ не сꙋ се затвори́ли врáта небе́снїѧ | And let us return, as long as the gates of heavens are not closed. |
143: | че хочемо да плáчемо ҆и да сѐ мо́лимо | For we will (otherwise) cry and pray. |
144: | ҆и никои нась не щѐ да чꙋе | And nobody is going to hear us. |
145: | защо̀ бг҃а нáшего ҆ѡбезчествꙋемо | Because we dishonor our God. |
146: | коли́ко пꙋти бг҃а нашего расрьдваме | How many times do we make our God angry? |
147: | ҆о́нь нáмь бл҃го дáеть | He gives us goods. |
148: | ҆á ние ѿметамо се ѿ не́го | And we cast away away from Him! |
149: | ҆онь милꙋе нáсь | He loves us. |
150: | ҆á ниѐ лени́мо се | But we are lazy! |
151: | ҆онь нáсь на свáки де́нь питꙋ́҆еть | He feeds us every day. |
152: | ҆á ни́е него́вь зáпове́дь престꙋпа҆емо | And we transgress his command! |
153: | ҆и да се засрáмимо | Let us become ashamed! |
154: | ҆и да се ꙋбоймо | Let us fear! |
155: | защо б҃ь ѿ нась џꙋвáпь сака да мꙋ даде́мо | For God wants and answer from us, to give Him. |
156: | престане́те ѿ льжи́ви дꙋми | Cease (to spread?) false words! |
157: | престане́те | Cease! |
158: | не дейте попо́ве мо́й хꙋли́ти ҆и ꙋничижáти; | Do not blaspheme and slander my priests! |
159: | ҆и не ꙋкор͛ваите ги | Do not deride them! |
160: | защо́ сꙋ ҆о́ни слꙋгѝ мо́й | For they are my servants. |
161: | ҆и никомꙋ да не сꙋ́дите догдѐ прїиде сꙋдиꙗ хр͒то́сь | And judge no one until the (True) Judge Jesus comes! |
162: | тоги́ва да престáнеме ѿ мол͛ба ҆и ѿ моли́тва ҆и ѿ по́сть ҆и воздрьжанїе | Then, we (will?) cease to do prayer, and to fast, and to abstain. |
163: | ҆и да покáжемо хр͒тꙋ но́во де́ло наше | And let us show our new works to Christ. |
164: | ҆и да проме́нимо нáше зло҆ꙋмие | And let us change our evil thoughts. |
165: | ҆и да сѐ покáемо сáсь мол͛ба ҆и сась сль́зи | And let us repent with prayer and tears! |
166: | защо̀ пока҆ꙗ́нїе тꙋ́ка бꙋдꙋва на то́ꙗ ст҃ь | Because repentance wakes (us?) in this world. |
167: | да поплачемо ва мáло вре́ме | Let us cry a bit in (this) short time, |
да нѐ плáчемо после тáмо ꙋ бе́зьконе́чнꙋю мꙋ́кꙋ | so that we will not cry there, in the Eternal Torment, afterwards. | |
168: | не може би́ти пока҆ꙗ́нїе | (For in the Eternal Torment?) there can be no repentance. |
169: | ѡͯ гор͛ко ко́й се не покáе | O, woe (to those), who does not repent! |
170: | на прáведно сꙋ́дище хочемо да предстáнемо | We will stand in front of a righteous judgement seat! |
171: | ҆и хочемо да познáемо какво́ смо на те́ло наше ꙋгождáли | And we will learn, how we had helped our body. |
172: | но да сѐ поте́гнемо радѝ дш҃ꙋ | But let us stretch ourselves a bit for the sake of our souls, |
да нáйдемо врáта рáйски ѿворени | so that we find the doors of the Paradise open! | |
173: | ҆и да се ҆ѡчи́стиме ѿ гре́хь какво;то е бг҃ꙋ ꙋго́дно | And let us wash ourselves from sin, as it is pleasing God. |
174: | тако̀ запове́д͛ва намь мл͒ти́ви бг҃ь | Thus God the Merciful commands us. |
175: | ҆á сꙋетно те́ло ꙋ землю поги́нꙋва | And the vain body dies in the ground. |
176: | ҆и све зе́мльно що ѐ прехо́дит | And everything, what is earthly, passes. |
177: | ҆и поминꙋ́ва се | And it perishes. |
178: | ҆á чл҃ве́кь ҆и сто́ го́динь да бꙋ́де жи́вь не мо́же да речѐ | And a man, even if hundred years old, cannot say: |
179: | стар͛ смь | ʺI am old.ʺ |
180: | та ще мѝ бг҃ь ҆ѡпро́сти | ʺSo God will forgive me.ʺ |
181: | но да гле́дамо стрáшни; ҆о́наи чáсь | But let us look towards that terrible hour, |
когѝ фáне дш҃а да сѐ разлꙋчва ѿ те́ло | when the soul begins to part its ways from the body. | |
182: | стрáшни чáсь ҆о́нь | (Let us look toward) that terrible time, |
когѝ; ҆ꙗ́зикь премлькнет | when the tongue becomes silent, | |
҆и не мо́же чи́сто говори́ти | and it cannot speak clearly, | |
҆и почне вазвращáти ҆о́чи тáмо ҆и ҆ѡвáмо че́сто | and it begins to turn its eyes (?) here and there often. | |
183: | че́сто ҆и свои никáкь не познáва | Often it does not even know its own ones (?) |
184: | ҆áко ҆и да гѝ познава коꙗ̀ фáйда ҆има ѿ ни́хь | And even if he knows them, what help does it have from them? |
185: | ҆или ҆они ѿ не́го | Or (what help have) they from it? |
186: | тькмо плáчь ҆и риданїе | (They have only) cry and weeping. |
187: | но какво̀ да ѿгово́римо правед-номꙋ сꙋ́дию | So, what shall we answer to the Just Judge? |
188: | какво да рече́ме | What would we say? |
189: | какво́ ли; да не рече́ме | What we would (rather) not say! |
190: | ҆и какво́ ли ме́сто ꙋготовлꙗ́҆ет се нáмь | And what kind of place is being prepared for us? |
191: | тако́ва помислꙋ́҆еть бо́лень; чл҃ве́кь | An ill man thinks about such things. |
192: | когѝ фане чл҃векꙋ дш҃а да излази ѿ те́ло | When the soul begins to leave the body, |
҆единь чáсь, до́йде ҆áгг҃ель пратен ѿ бг҃а | in the same time an angel comes, sent by God. | |
193: | тогива ҆ѡнáꙗ дш҃а ҆áко не бꙋде ꙋготовена | Then, if that soul will not be ready, |
когѝ ви́ди ҆áгг҃ела хо́щеть ѿ страх бежáти | it will run away from fear, when it sees the angel. | |
194: | ҆и не може ни́где да се ꙋкри́е | And it cannot hide anywhere. |
195: | тькмо по́чнеть гледáти стрáшно | It just begins to watch with terror. |
196: | ҆и биет͛ се по лице | And it strikes itself on the face. |
197: | ҆и намь гово́ри | And it says to us: |
198: | поми́лꙋте ме | ʺHave mercy on me!ʺ |
199: | ҆и дайте ми не́коꙗ по́мощь | ʺAnd give me some help!ʺ |
200: | не ҆ѡставете мене; безьде́лно на сꙋ́дище да йдемь | ʺDo not leave me to go to the judgement seat with no capacity!ʺ |
201: | милостиню сотворе́те ме́не | ʺShow me some mercy!ʺ |
202: | защо сáсь зли́ дни пройдохь догдѐ би́хь жи́вь на то́ꙗ ст҃ь | ʺBecause I passed with bad days, as long as I was alive in this world.ʺ |
203: | ҆и не пока҆ꙗ́х се | ʺAnd I did not repent.ʺ |
204: | коги такви́ва дꙋми чꙋють ҆ан҃гели ѿ нáсь ҆и ѡнѝ речꙋ́ть нáмь | When the angels hear such words from us, they say to us: |
205: | ѡ͒ дꙋше смире́на ҆и ѡка҆ꙗ́на догде́ си билà жи́ва защо́ се не сѝ пока҆ꙗ́ла | ʺO, you peaceful and wretched soul, why did you not repent, when you were alive?ʺ |
206: | но си би́ла лени́ва ҆и не пот͛кан͛ли́ва | ʺBut you were slothful and irresolute.ʺ |
207: | ҆á сьга коне́ць твои при́ближи́ се | ʺAnd now, your end is nigh.ʺ |
208: | ско́ро ҆излезнѝ ѿ те́ло | ʺNow, come out of the body!ʺ |
209: | ҆и при́҆иди да ҆ꙋзмешь що си́ се́бе ꙋготови́ла | ʺAnd come to take, what you have prepared for yourself!ʺ |
210: | ҆и ние да сѐ не ꙋбойме ѿ бг҃а | And let us not (!) become afraid of God. |
211: | но тáко да рече́ме | But let us say thus: |
212: | ҆ѿворѝ намь мл͒тиве бж҃е | ʺOpen to us, o merciful God!ʺ |
213: | ҆ѿворѝ | ʺOpen!ʺ |
214: | при тебе ҆идемо не досто́йни рáби тво́й, | ʺWe, your unworthy servants, go to you!ʺ |
215: | и те́бе слáвꙋ возь҆исилáе | And (we) send glory to you, |
҆оц҃ꙋ ҆и сн҃ꙋ, ҆и ст҃о́мꙋ дх҃ꙋ | to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, | |
нинѣ ҆и при́сно ҆и во ве́ки век | now and ever, and forever! |
