4:	[===] blgosloveni i xrtoljubivi xrtiani bratia moi vozljubleni	[Foreword] O blessed and Christ-loving Christians, my beloved brothers,
	mlimъ vašu milosъ i prečtuju mtrъ našu bdcu	I pray your mercifulness and our most pure mother, the Mother of God,
	da vi vrazumi vašъ umъ i da vi dade krotosъ	so that she makes your mind mindful, and that she gives you peacefulness.
5:	i slavu bžiju da imate u domi vaši	[Foreword] And may you have the glory of God in your houses.
6:	da poslušate sasъ blgogovenie i sasъ ljubovъ	[Foreword] May you hear with piety and love.
7:	i pravoverъno poslušaite	[Foreword] Listen in an orthodox manner!
8:	i sasъ straxomъ vložete vъ srdce vaše stoe pisanie gdne	[Foreword] And put the Holy Scripture of the Lord into your hearts with fear!
9:	oče blgo	[Foreword] O father, bless (the reader)!
10:	vъ šesti mcъ doide časъ	In the sixth month, the time came.
11:	i zaprati bgъ arъxangela gavriila u gradъ galileiski zoveše se grado nazaretъ pri dvicu mariju	And God sent Archangel Gabriel to a Galilean city - the city was called Nazareth - to Virgin Mary.
12:	i doide gavriilъ arъxangelъ pri nju	And Archangel Gabriel came to her.
13:	i reče i	And he said to her:
14:	radui se blgodatnaja	ʺRejoice, o virtuous one!ʺ
15:	gdъ če da bude sasъ tebe	ʺThe Lord shall be with you!ʺ
16:	blgoslovena žena ti čel da budešъ	ʺO woman, you will be blessed!ʺ
17:	a ona vide anъggela	And she saw the angel.
18:	kato produma takvava duma	When he said the word,
	smuti si pametъ ot anъggelova ta duma	she burdened her mind with the angel's word.
19:	i misleše kakva šte da bude taę duma	And she thought, what will be (mean?) that word.
20:	i anggelъ ju reče	And the angel said to her:
21:	ne boi se marie	ʺHave no fear, o Mary!ʺ
22:	štešъ da naidešъ blgodatъ ot bga	ʺYou will find grace of God.ʺ
23:	i štešъ da začnešъ dete u čreva tvoi	ʺAnd you will conceive a child in your bosom.ʺ
24:	i štešъ da rodišъ sina	ʺAnd you will give birth to a son.ʺ
25:	i štešъ da mu narečešъ ime iisъ	ʺAnd you will give him the name Jesus.ʺ
26:	on šte da bude crъ velikъ	ʺAnd he will become a great king.ʺ
27:	i xoče da se nareče sinъ višnemu bgu	ʺAnd he will be called Son of the Most High God.ʺ
28:	i xoče gdъ bgъ da mu dade prestolъ u dvda oca svoego	ʺAnd Lord God will give him the throne of David, his (fore)father.ʺ
29:	i xoče da crъstvuva u domu ijakovli do veka	ʺAnd he will rule in the House of Jacob forever.ʺ
30:	i negovo crtvo ne šte da ima konecъ	ʺAnd his Kingdom shall have no end.ʺ
31:	togiva reče devica marija anggelu	Then Virgin Mary said to the angel:
32:	kakvo šte da bude tova	ʺHow could that be?ʺ
33:	ja muža ne znaemъ	ʺI don't know a man.ʺ
34:	a kakvo štemъ čedo do dobiemъ	ʺSo how can I get a child?ʺ
35:	anggelъ produma	The angel spoke up,
36:	i reče i	and he told her:
37:	dxъ sti če da doide na tebe	ʺHoly Spirit will come upon you.ʺ
38:	i sila višnomu bgu šte da te podkani	ʺAnd the power of the Most High God will move you.ʺ
39:	i štešъ da rodišъ ime sto	ʺAnd you will give birth to (a one with) a holy name.ʺ
40:	i xočet da se narečet sinъ bžii	ʺAnd he will be called Son of God.ʺ
41:	paki reče anggelъ marii	Again, the angel said to Mary:
42:	ete i elisaveta drušъka tvoja	ʺBehold, your friend Elisabeth!ʺ
43:	i ona zače sina vъ starosti svoi	ʺShe, too, conceived a son in her old age.ʺ
44:	ete noi šesъ mci kakvo e začela	ʺBehold, she (is in) the six(th) month, since she had conceived!ʺ
45:	če ona beše ne plodna	ʺAs she was barren.ʺ
46:	ne raždaše deca	ʺShe did not give birth to children.ʺ
47:	a sъga sa povelenie bžie zače	ʺAnd now, with the will of God she conceived.ʺ
48:	zašto e duma bžia blgolovena	ʺBecause the word of God is blessed.ʺ
49:	togiva reče dvica marię anъggelu	Then Virgin Mary said to the angel:
50:	da bude volja božija što reče ti mene anъggele	ʺMay the will of God will be fulfilled, (as?) you said to me, o angel.ʺ
51:	tova reče dvica marię	Thus spoke Virgin Mary.
52:	i otide anъggelъ ot neja	And the angel went away from her.
53:	ei že slava	[Closing Prayers] And hers (is) the glory,
54:	bgu že našemu čtъ i poklonenie	[Closing Prayers] and to our God honor and respect,
	ocu i snu i stomu dxu	to the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
	ninja i prisno i vo veki vekovъ	now and ever, and forever!
