2: | po Adama u sodómь grádь i u ʾi gomorь: béše kur͛var͛stvo mlógo | After Adam, there was a lot of adultery in the city of Sodom and in Gomorrah. |
3: | ne znaeše se ʾimь sestrà | They did not know a sister. |
4: | ʾi ne znaeše se leljà ilì tet͛ka | And they did not know their (maternal and paternal) aunt(s), |
če è sasvè krьvь ʾedínoródna | that she is fully related by blood. | |
5: | tь´kmo sínь svojù máĭkju glédaše | Only sons looked upon their mothers. |
6: | ʾá drugi tè ʾi mal͛ki te decà ne ʾwstávjaxu; | And others did not leave even small children alone. |
7: | ʾi mužïe ʾedínь drúgogo síluvaxu | And men were raping each other. |
8: | ʾi mlógo srámni gréxь tamo sè béše učinílo grozno ʾi bezьbž̃no | And a lot of shameful sin was done there, terribly and godlessly. |
9: | prokletiʾja teš͛ka ʾi ljuta | (Truly,) a curse, heavy and fierce. |
10: | ʾi bg̃ь ne možè da trьpi | And God could not suffer (it). |
11: | nelò dáde bg̃ь vódu strášnu | Thus he gave terrible waters. |
12: | ta potópi svь´ svétь támo | And thus He drowned the whole world there. |
13: | ʾi dáde bg̃ь ʾóg͛nь strášenь támo | And God gave a terrible fire there. |
14: | ʾi pogoréxu svi ljúdie | And all the people were burned (there). |
15: | tokò ʾwstanáxu čétiri xíží | Only four houses remained. |
16: | noʾjá béše ʾwstálь ʾi trì sñove negóvi ʾi žení te ʾimь ʾi máti níx͛na | Noah had remained, and his three sons, and their wives, and their mother. |
17: | níxь ne štejà bg̃ь da potópi nitì da gì ʾizgóri | God did not want to drown them, nor to burn them. |
18: | zaštò tokò ʾwnì ne čínexu kur͛varьstvo u tovà vréme | Because only they did not do adultery in that time. |
19: | ʾi da razuméete xrístíăni | And may you understand, o Christians! |

21: | kóĭ prikazuva u st̃óe pisanïe | He who reads (what is written?) in the Holy Scripture, |

wt kólь e͒ nastanul tója st̃ь | since this world came to exist. | |
25: | ʾi páki wt nóĭnь poródь velíki gréxь napraví se | And again, a great sin was done by the offspring of Noah. |
26: | ʾi posle ʾi na nix bg̃ь pokazà ʾi drugo znaménïe na sódoma ʾi gomóra | And afterwards, God showed on them a sign too, on Sodom and Gomorrah. |
27: | částo vóĭski práteše bógь na níxь ʾi mlógo nenavístь rob͛stvò | God was sending often armies against them, and a lot of hate and servitude. |
28: | bézьkráĭno mlógo krь´vi prolívaxu se | Endlessly lot of blood was being spilled. |
29: | ʾi mlogo stràxove téglexu | And a lot of fears they had, |
kakvóto ʾi níja téglime do dnésь | as we do have until now. | |
30: | ʾi níkakvó se ne ʾwstávljajù wt zlò tía čl͂véci kónьčno | And those people do (did?) not cease (to do) evil finally. |
31: | bezúmie tvórexu blúdь néprestáno | They we doing endlessly mindlessness, adultery. |
32: | wx; téško ĭmь; | O, (it is) hard for them! |
33: | ʾi vidè bg̃ь če níkak ne čut da sè pokájutь ʾi tíja čl̃véci | And God saw, that those people, too, are not going to repent in no way. |
34: | ʾá w̌nь pomislì ʾi nixь da ĭzgori ʾi da potópi; | And He thought about burning and drowning them too. |
35: | sadómь ʾi gomórь béxu golémi grádove | Sodom and Gomorrah were big cities. |
36: | ʾi béše támo načel͛nikь † lw´tь | And Lot was the chieftain there. |
37: | on ◄ ♣ zapoved͛vaše za búdi što támo u tia grádove | He was responsible for something in those cities. |
38: | ʾi wt tolíko kur͛var͛stvo bexu pobesnéli mlógo bezakon͛stvo | And they became mad because of so much adultery, much lawlessness. |
39: | pognusí se bg̃ь ʾjáko na níxь | God became very disgusted from them. |
40: | ʾi xóče da gì pogóri | |
41: | ʾi pratì bg̃ь ʾáng̃gela svoegò | And God sent his angel. |
42: | ta réče lótu da béga ʾi onь | And he told Lot to run, |
da nè ʾizgorì sa͒ gréšni te ljúdie | so that he would not burn with the sinful people. | |
43: | kogì ʾōtidè ʾán͛gg̃elь ʾi réče mu | When the angel went (to Lot), he said to him: |
44: | lw´te stáni skóro da pobegneš wt túka | ʺO Lot, stand up soon, to run from here!ʺ |
45: | zaštò bg̃ь xóče da pušti ʾóʾgnь da pogóri tía čl̃véci | ʺBecause God will release fire to burn that people!ʺ |
46: | ʾi réče lw´tь na svoi sródnicì | And Lot said to his relatives: |
47: | ʾeláte móĭ sródnici da bégamo wt srьd͛bu bž̃iju | ʺCome, my relatives, let us run from the anger of God!ʺ |
48: | ʾáko xóčete ʾi víe; da bégate | ʺIf you want, too, run!ʺ |
49: | ʾá wní mu rékoxu | But they said: |
50: | znaeš͛ li tì što xóče bg̃ь da tvóri | ʺYou do know, what is God going to do?ʺ |
51: | ʾi prismejáxa- mu se | And they laughed at him. |
52: | kogì vidè lw´tь če gò ne poslušáxu ʾá ʾwnь si ʾōtide na svói dómь | When Lot saw, that they did not listen to him, he went to his home. |
53: | páki reče mu ʾán͛g̃gelь | Again, the angel said: |
54: | kogí te ne poslušáxu .:. | ʺAs they did not listen to you,ʺ |
uzmì tì ženù tvojù ʾi dvé te dьšterkì tvóĭ | ʺtake your wife and your two daughters!ʺ | |
55: | ʾi pobegní wt tuka | ʺAnd run away from here!ʺ |
56: | ʾi nikóĭ wt vásь da sè ne ʾwbrь´ne da pogléda nà nazátь da vídi što se právi támw; | ʺAnd may none of you turn back to look behind, what is happening there!ʺ |
57: | tь´kmo skóro bégaite na visóku góru sigórь | ʺJust run quickly to the high mountain of Segor!ʺ |
58: | ʾi sédetè támo | ʺAnd sit there!ʺ |
59: | kogì ʾizleze lw´tь wt dómь svóĭ ʾi wt sodómь grad͛ | When Lot went out of his home and of the city of Sodom, |
ʾa ženà lw´tova póžali za svóĭ sródnici | Lot's wife became sad for her relatives. | |
60: | ʾi slóži se sásь glávu | And she put herself (down?) with her head. |
61: | ʾi pogledà méždu koléna ta si pódь sébe na nazátь | And she looked between the knees beneath herself back (?), |
da vídi što sè nápravi támo u sodómь .:. grádь | to see, what was happening there in the city of Sodom. | |
62: | ʾi stánu kámikь tója čásь lotova ženà | And Lot's wife became a stone (in) that moment. |
63: | ʾi ne pómesti se(i) | And she did (could?) not move. |
64: | ʾá lótь uze svoi dvè dьštér͛ki, | And Lot took his two daughters. |
65: | ʾi ōtidè na sigórь gorà .:. | And he went to the mountain of Segor. |
66: | ʾi nazátь svь´ grádь pogorè | And the city behind them fully burned down. |
67: | kogì béše lw´tь u góru zlé pomislíxu negóvi dь´šter͛ki | When Lot was in the mountain, his daughters had evil thoughts. |
68: | ʾi dumaxu si míždu sébe dvé te če e s͛vь st̃ь pogorélь ʾi potopil͛ se u vodu | And they spoke to each other both, that the whole world was burned and it drowned into waters. |
69: | ʾi réče ʾednà na drugu | And they said to each other: |
70: | počúli sme vь stáro vréme potopì bg̃ь sь´vь st̃ь | ʺWe have heard, (that) God drowned the whole world in ancient times.ʺ |
71: | tokò sam͛ si nója ʾwstanu | ʺOnly Noah alone remained.ʺ |
72: | ʾi wt négo ʾwstánu plódь člvéčeski | ʺAnd by him the human offspring remained.ʺ |
73: | vídite lì što se zagrižáli lw´tovi dьšter͛ki | Do you see, what (about) were Lot's daughters caring? |
74: | ʾi rekoxu si | And they said to each other: |
75: | ʾi níja da vídime méždu sébe da udrьžíme plódь čl̃vékomь | ʺLet us, too, see (to it), to uphold the human offspring,ʺ |
ʾi da se umnoži plod nášь na zémlju ljúdie mlógo | ʺand that our own offspring multiplies on the Earth (into) many people.ʺ | |
76: | zaštò ne ʾwstanu po s͛vь st̃ь múžь da rečéme ʾi ženà | ʺBecause not a man remained in the world, so to say, nor a woman.ʺ |
77: | tokò níja dvéme ʾwstanáx͛me ʾi nášь ʾóc͂ь | ʺOnly the two of us remained, and our father.ʺ |
78: | ʾi táko zlè pomislíxu lw´tovi dьšter͛ki, | And thus Lot's daughters had evil thoughts. |
79: | ʾi dadoxu mlogo víno ʾóc͂u svóʿemu lw´tu | And they gave a lot of wine to their father Lot. |
80: | ʾi wpí se | And he got drunk. |
81: | ʾi léže da spí | And he laid himself to sleep. |
82: | ʾi priʾidoxu ʾi dvé te mu dьšter͛ki pri négo | And his two daughters came to him. |
83: | ʾi počéxu da gó blaznutь za kur͛var͛stvo | And they began to seduce him to adultery. |
84: | [zrï diavol͛skïa kozni] | [sidenote] Behold, devilish intrigues! |
85: | ʾi ʾwnь u pian͛stvo ʾwb͛ležà pó goléma ta svojà dьšter͛ka | And he, in his drunken state, he slept with his older daughter. |
86: | ʾi va vtóru véčerь páki prinesóxu mlógo .:. vinò | And on the second evening they brought a lot of wine again. |
87: | ʾi wpoixu lw´ta baštù svoʾego | And they made Lot, their father, drunk. |
88: | ʾi ne znáeše sébe na tója st̃ь | And he did not know himself in this world. |
89: | tolíko go ʾwpoĭxu negóvi dьšter͛ki | So much did his daughters made him drunk. |
90: | u pian͛stvo ʾwbležà ʾi po mladá ta svojà dьšter͛ka .:. | And in drunken state he slept with his younger daughter too. |

92: | začéxu ʾi dvé te | The both conceived. |
93: | póĭdoxu trudni | They became pregnant. |
94: | po goléma ta rodì sña | The older (daughter) gave birth to a son. |

96: | ʾi narekoxà mu ʾime .:. Moăvь | And they gave him the name Moab, |
sìréčь sínь wt wc͂a moʾegò | that is: ʺson from my fatherʺ. | |
97: | ʾi po mladá ta rodì | And the younger (daughter) gave birth. |
98: | ʾi nému narékoxu ʾime ʾAmánь | And they gave him the name Ammon, |
síréčь sínь wt róda moʾegò | that is: ʺson from my fatherʺ. | |
99: | radì:. tája rabóta béše ʾwskver͛nena tája gora sigórь | Because of that case, that mountain Segor was tainted. |
100: | ʾi za tovà ne preʾwbrazí se x͂s támo | And that is why Jesus did not become transfigurated there. |
101: | čúete li xr͒tiăni kakvó e deʾjánīe bilò támo | Do you hear, o Christians, what deeds had been there? |
102: | kolíko e zlopomišlénïe bilò támo | How many evil thoughts were there! |
103: | kolíko e néčistotà bilà támo | How much impurity was there! |
104: | kolíko e bezakónïe bilò támo | How much lawlessness was there! |
105: | kolíka e prókletía bilà támo | How much curse was there! |
106: | kolíko e gnusotà bilà tamo | How many disgusting things were there! |
107: | ʾwčevídno kur͛var͛stvo ʾi pogáno čl͂véčesko:. zlodʾejanïe | Apparent adultery and heathen-like human evil-doing (was there)! |
108: | ʾi bg̃ь ne možè večè, da trьpi | And God could not suffer (it) anymore. |
109: | ʾi pušti ʾwgnь wt nb̃sa | And He sent fire from the heavens. |
110: | ʾi pogori tíja grádove do konécь | And He burned those cities to the end. |
111: | ʾi posle puštì vódu | And then He released water. |
112: | ta pótopi svè što ĭmaše žívo na toʾjá st̃ь | And He drowned everything, what was alive in this world: |
ʾóv͛ci govéda ʾi kóni ʾi bívole ʾi volóve ʾi kózlišta | sheep, cattle and horses, and buffalos, and oxen, and goat kids, | |
ʾi kamíli ʾi mь´skì ʾi per͛náti gádove(i) ʾi ptíci .:. frьkáti | and camels, and mules, and feathery lizards (?), and flying birds. | |
113: | ne ʾwstanu níšto pódь nebo žívo | Nothing remained alive beneath the sky. |
114: | wx kolíko béše vodà | O, how much water was there! |
115: | do pétь ná desetь lákti | Up to fifteen yards! |
116: | ne možè vodà da dostígne nb̃o | The water could not reach the heaven. |
117: | vídite lì xr͒tiăni kolìko béše se bg̃ь, razgnevalь na tíja luge | Do you see, o Christians, how much did God become angry with those people? |
118: | ʾi pogóri gi | And He burned them. |
119: | ʾi potópi gi | And He drowned them. |
120: | tokò tója vrьx béše súxь ʾwstánulь | Only that mountain remained dry. |
121: | zaštò wt toja vrьxь sigórь po sь´vь st̃ь po visóko mésto né ma | Because there is not a higher place all over the world than that mountain Segor. |
122: | támo ʾwstaxu lw´tovi dьšter͛ki .:. žívi | There, Lot's daughters remained alive. |
123: | wt níxь dvé te što sè náplodi ʾw,nì béxu kuruci | From the two of them, those, who were conceived, were the crusaders (?) |
124: | ʾi wni se dovrь´šixu s͒a pómoštiju, bž̃iju | And they perished with the help of God. |
125: | ʾi tova čudo ʾi zloe deʾjánïe príkazax͛mo xr͒tiánomь za uverénïe | And we told to Christians this miracle and evil doing for (their) faith. |
126: | kóĭ ne è čulь ʾi vidélь ʾá ʾonь da čue | May he, who did not hear or see, hear, |
ʾi dá razumée ʾi da ver͛va sílu ʾi slavu .:. bžïju | and may he understand and believe in the power and glory of God. | |
127: | zaštò tijà dúmi ne sù wt čl̃večeski ʾumь | Because those words are not from the human mind. |
128: | nelo sù wt bž͒etvéni knigi ʾi proróčesko čt͒noe pisanïe | But they are from divine books and truly prophetic scripture. |
129: | kóĭ: da sè né počúdi na takóvo srámno ʾi gnusno prokléto sotvorénïe čl̃véčesko | Who would not be amazed about so shameful and disgusting, accursed works of the mankind? |
130: | vo, slávu, vségda, ʾi vo véki vekóvь | In the glory, always and forever! |
