2:	пáметь ст҃и́мь ҆испове́дни́комь гꙋрїа сáмо́нь ҆и ави́ва	[Title] Rememberance of Holy Confessors Gurias, Samon and Habib
3:	послꙋшайте бл҃гослове́ни хр͒тиани да ви́ скáжеме чꙋдесà	[Title] Listen, o blessed Christians, so that we tell you (about) miracles!
4:	Ст҃и само́нь бе́ше вь вре́ме ди́҆ѡклитиӑна цр҃а	St. Samon was (alive) in the time of Emperor Diocletian.
5:	ст҃и гꙋ́риа бе́ше ѿ село̀ сар͛коки́тиа	St. Gurias was from the village of Sarkokitia.
6:	сáмо́нь бе́ше ѿ село̀: ганадо́нь	Samon was from the village of Ganadon.
7:	наклеве́тени бе́хꙋ не́коемꙋ бе́зьбо́жномꙋ кне́зꙋ че не дáваю на лꙋ́ге да сѐ поклáнꙗть на ҆идоле	They were accused in front of one godless prince, that they don't allow people to worship idols.
8:	҆и ҆ѡбеси́ха ги по за еднà рꙋ́ка	And they hanged them each by one hand.
9:	҆и на нозе те ҆имь врьзáхꙋ по еди́нинь те́шки кáмикь	And they hanged on each one heavy stone on their legs.
10:	҆и висе́хꙋ ҆ѡка҆ꙗ́ни ѿ тре́ти чáсь до ше́сти	And they were hanging from the third hour to the sixth.
11:	҆и самнáхꙋ ги ѿ дрь́во то	And they hanged them down from the tree.
12:	и постави́хꙋ ги ꙋ темни́цꙋ	And they placed them into a dungeon.
13:	҆и на нозе́ те ҆имь тꙋри́хꙋ тꙋмрꙋци	And they put shackles on their feet.
14:	҆и лежахꙋ затво́рени че́тири мц͒и глáдни ҆и же́дни	And they were laying incarcerated for four months, hungry and thirsty.
15:	после́ ги ҆изве́дохꙋ ҆ис тевни́цꙋ	Then they brought them out of the dungeon.
16:	ст҃аго само́на пáки ҆ѡбеси́хꙋ на дрь́во за еднà но́га	They hanged St. Samon again by one leg on a tree.
17:	҆и ѿрезáха мꙋ коле́но	And they cut off his knee.
18:	҆и висе надо́ле сáсь глáвꙋ ѿ вто́ри чáсь до ше́сти	And he hanged with the head downward from the second hour to the sixth.
19:	҆á ст҃и гꙋ́риа ѿ мно́го мꙋ́ки; бе́ше ҆изьнемогль	And St. Gurias became powerless because of many torments.
20:	҆и станꙋ́ль бе́ше като̀ мрьтавь	And he had become like dead.
21:	҆и на ютре де́нь ҆изведо́ха ги изь темни́цꙋ	And in the morning of the day they brought them out of the dungeon.
22:	҆и посекоха ги	And they killed them.
23:	҆и ст҃и ҆áви́ва ди́акон ҆ѡклеве́тень бе́ше на цр҃а лики҆áна	And St. Habib was accused in front of Emperor Licinian.
24:	защо преврáща ҆ели́не да сѐ поклáнꙗть хр͒тꙋ ҆истино́мꙋ бг҃ꙋ	Because he converted pagans to bow to the Christ, the True God.
25:	҆и не́го ҆ѡбеси́хꙋ на дрь́во	And they hanged him on a tree.
26:	҆и наклáдохꙋ ҆о́гнь под не́го	And they put fire beneath him.
27:	҆и много мꙋ́ки поте́гли	And he suffered many torments.
28:	҆и на мꙋки мꙋ дш҃а ҆испáде на ҆ѡгнь	And from the torments (?) his soul fell (?) to the fire.
29:	҆изго́ре мꙋ́ченикь ҆áви́ва	The martyr Habib was burned.
30:	҆и тáкѡ; скон͛ча мꙋ́ченїе	And thus ended (his) torture.
31:	҆и по ни́хно мꙋче́нїе вь ско́ре стáнꙋ гоне́нїе на хр͒ти́ӑни	And after their torment the persecution of Christian began (?)
32:	҆и по неколико вре́ме нáстанꙋ цр҃ь костаньди́нь	And after some time, Emperor Constantine stood up.
33:	҆ꙋ негови днѝ ҆и ꙋ негово вре́ме не може́хꙋ ҆елине вечѐ да мꙋ́чать ро́дь хри́сти҆áн͛ски	In his days and his time, the pagans could not torture the Christian kin anymore.
34:	зáщо се про́слави бл҃гоче́стие вь слáвꙋ бж҃ию	Because the (Christian) piety became glorious in the glory of God.
35:	҆и ꙋ товà вре́ме почѐ цр҃ь Костáн͛динь да прáви цр҃кви ҆и мн͒ти́ре	And in that time, Emperor Constantine started to build churches and monasteries.
36:	и не́ може́хꙋ вече да властꙋ́вать ҆е́лински; цр҃ве	And the pagan emperors could not rule anymore.
37:	защо̀ свѝ ҆ели́нѐ станàхꙋ .:. цр҃ꙋ .:. костан͛динꙋ под͛ ногꙋ:	Because all pagans stood under the feet of Emperor Constantine.
38:	[===] ҆и дрꙋго чꙋ́до ► послꙋ́шайте бл҃ве́ни хр͒тиани	O blessed Christians, listen to another miracle too!
39:	҆и да рàзꙋме҆ете преслáвно чꙋдо какво̀ ҆имаше ҆еднà ве́ра ꙋ пер͛сискꙋю землю ѿ где́то ҆исти́ча сл҃це	And may you understand the glorious miracle about how there was a religion (?) in the land of Persia, from whence the Sun rises.
40:	҆и би́еше се тàꙗ ве́ра са͒ грь́ци	And that religion fought with Greeks.
41:	҆и мло́го грáдове ҆ѡзлоби́хꙋ	And they attacked (?) many cities.
42:	҆и до́йдохꙋ до еде́сь грáдь	And they came to the city of Edessa.
43:	цр҃ь грь́чки мло́го войска до́прати ҆ꙋ еде́сь да чꙋ́вать градо̀	The Greek emperor sent many forces to Edessa, so that they protect the city.
44:	҆и междꙋ̀ ҆онїа во́йне ҆имаше еди́нь во́йнь; зло҆ꙋмень	And among those soldiers, there was an evil-minded soldier.
45:	҆и ꙋ тоꙗ грáдь ҆имаше еднà: женà доброво́л͛на ҆и бл҃гочести́ва	And there was a pious and honorable woman in the city.
46:	҆и имаше тáꙗ жена дь́щерь деви́цꙋ	And the woman had a daughter,
	хꙋ́бава нà ли́це ҆и на го́дини дорáсла	pretty in the face and grown up.
47:	҆á ҆ѡнꙗ злоꙋмни во́йнь до́йде на домь ꙋ ҆ѡнаꙗ женà	And that evil-minded soldier came to the house to that woman.
48:	҆име и бе́ше софи́а	Her name was Sophia.
49:	҆и ре́че и ҆ѡнꙗ войнь	And the soldier said to her:
50:	бáбо дá поседимь на до́мь тво́й догде сме тꙋка ꙋ вашїꙗ грáдь	ʺO old woman, let me sit in your house, as long as we are here in your city!ʺ
51:	҆á жена та мꙋ ре́че	And the woman said to him:
52:	҆ꙗ́ смь женà вдови́ца	ʺI am a widow.ʺ
53:	҆и ѡще смь: си́ротица	ʺAnd I am also poor.ʺ
54:	҆и не мамь сáсь що да те гощевамь	ʺI have nothing to treat you with.ʺ
55:	҆á зло҆ꙋмни во́йнь ре́че	And the evil-minded soldier said:
56:	҆ѡ бабо; за гощевáне не трꙋ́ди се	ʺO old woman, do not worry about treating me.ʺ
57:	҆ꙗ́ мло́го жльтици ҆имамь	ʺI have a lot of money.ʺ
58:	҆ꙗ́ хочемь вáсь гощевати	ʺI will treat you as my guest!ʺ
59:	҆ꙗ́ хо́чемь вáсь ҆и мло́го дарꙋвати	ʺI will give you many gifts.ʺ
60:	слáбо ҆ꙋмнà женà при́фанꙋ во́йна ꙋ свои до́мь	The weak-minded woman took the soldier to her house.
61:	҆и поседѐ неколико днѝ	And he sat (there) for some days.
62:	҆и поми́сли зá ѡнꙋю дв҃ицꙋ	And he thought about the girl.
63:	҆и фáлеше се прѝ ҆о́нꙋю женꙋ че́ е ҆ꙗ́ко богáть на свою̀ зе́млю;	And he boasted to the woman, that he was very rich in his land.
64:	҆и мло́го ль́стеше ҆ѡнꙋю женꙋ̀ да мꙋ дадѐ деви́цꙋ дь́щерь свою̀ за женꙋ̀	And he was deceiving the woman a lot, so that she gives him the girl, her daughter, as a wife.
65:	҆á женá та не дáваше деви́цꙋ	But the woman was not giving the girl (to him).
66:	когѝ виде во́йнь	When the soldier saw,
	сась добро не мо́же да ю̀ ꙋзмет	that he cannot take her by good,
	пофали́ се ҆и са͒ зло да ю̀ ꙋзмет	he boasted, that he would take her by evil.
67:	ре́че мáйкꙗ и	Her mother said:
68:	҆ѡ безꙋ́мниче да сѐ не нáдашь	ʺO you mindless one, do not make hopes,ʺ
	да дадемь ҆ꙗ́ своѐ че́до на не зна҆ꙗ́нꙋ стрáнꙋ	ʺthat I would give my child to unknown land.ʺ
69:	҆и казáли сꙋ ме́не че си́ ти ҆имашь же́нꙋ ҆и деца	ʺAnd they told me, that you have a wife and kids.ʺ
70:	҆á злоꙋ̀мни во́йнь зáкле се за име бж҃їе какво̀ не ѐ же́нень	And the evil-minded soldier sweared by the name of God that he was not married.
71:	҆и ре́че	And he said:
72:	҆ꙗ́ ми́слимь тво́ꙗ̀ дьще́р͛ка да бꙋ́де васїѧ: на све́ то моѐ ҆имане	ʺI plan to (make) your daughter manage all my property.ʺ
73:	҆и́ софи́ꙗ ҆ꙗ́ко слáбо ҆ꙋмна женà поверꙋвà льжо́внꙋю него́вꙋ кле́твꙋ	And Sophia, as a weak-minded woman, believed in his false vow.
74:	҆и помисли да сѝ дадѐ дь́щерь во́йнꙋ	And she thought of giving her daughter to the soldier.
75:	҆и дигнꙋ на не́бо ҆оч҃и ҆и рꙋце	And she raised her eyes and hands towards the heaven.
76:	҆и ре́че	And she said:
77:	гд͒и ҆иıс͒е хр͒те погледнѝ тꙋю̀ си́ротꙋ дв҃и́цꙋ дь́щерь мою̀	ʺO Lord Jesus Christ, look upon that poor girl, my daughter!ʺ
78:	помисли́хь да ю̀ даде́мь томꙋ́ва чꙋ́ждомꙋ ҆и не знàномꙋ чл҃ве́кꙋ	ʺI thought of giving her to that strange and unknown man.ʺ
79:	҆ꙗ се нáдамь на ми́лость твою̀ гд͒и	ʺI set my hopes upon your mercy, o Lord,ʺ
	да ю зачꙋ́вашь ѿ све́ко зло̀	ʺthat you protect her from all evil.ʺ
80:	҆и свꙋ наде́ждꙋ возложѝ софи́а на бг҃а	And Sophia put all her hopes on God.
81:	҆и направѝ свад͛бꙋ	And she made a wedding.
82:	҆и мно́го вре́ме седехꙋ во́йне те ꙋ еде́сь грáдь	And the soldiers sat in the city of Edessa for a long time.
83:	҆и ѡнáꙗ невеста зачѐ	And the bride conceived.
84:	҆и по́йде трꙋ́дна ѿ того́ва во́йна	And she became pregnant by that soldier.
85:	҆и до́йде вре́ме да сѝ ҆идꙋть во́йне те	And the time came for the soldiers to go.
86:	а тоа во́йнь сáкаше да сѝ води свою̀ невестꙋ	And the soldier wanted to take his bride.
87:	соф҆иа жáлеше своѐ че́до	Sophia was sad about her child.
88:	҆и плачеше за ню че щáть да сѐ разлꙋ́чать	And she cried about her, that they would separate.
89:	҆и ре́че софи́а на своего зе́та	And Sophia said to her son in law:
90:	҆ела дá йдемо ꙋ цр҃квꙋ на ст҃и мч҃ници гꙋ́риа сáмона ҆и авива	ʺCome, let us go to the church of Sts. Gurias, Samon and Habib,ʺ
	пре́дь ни́хь да тѝ предаде́мь моѐ че́до	ʺso that I give you my child in front of them.ʺ
91:	҆и ҆ѡтидохꙋ ҆и тро҅ица та ꙋ цр҃квꙋ	And the three went to the church.
92:	҆и предаде ю майкꙗ ю на мꙋ́жа ꙋ рꙋке	And her mother gave her to the man into his hands.
93:	҆и ре́че мꙋ	And she said to him:
94:	да ю лю́бишь како женꙋ̀	ʺMay you love her as a woman!ʺ
95:	҆ѡбрьнꙋ се софи́а	Sophia turned.
96:	҆и ре́че	And she said:
97:	ст҃и гꙋрїе ҆и самоне ҆и ави́во ѿ вáсь сáкамь мое чедо	ʺO Sts. Gurias, and Samon, and Habib, from you I want my child (...?)ʺ
98:	па тоги́ва ҆еднà дрꙋгꙋ поцеловáхꙋ	And then they kissed each other.
99:	софїа врь́нꙋ се на до́мь сво́й	Sophia returned to her house.
100:	во́йнь пове́де же́нꙋ свою̀	The soldier took his wife.
101:	когѝ при́ближи ꙋ свою землю забовáри кле́твꙋ	When he came close to his land, he forgot his vow.
102:	҆и забꙋварѝ що сѐ бе́ше ҆ѡбре́кль	And he forgot, what he had promised.
103:	когѝ прїиде да ꙋлезнат ꙋ грáдь	When they were about to enter the city,
	собле́че нá неве́стꙋ хꙋбави дрехи ҆и́ крáсни пре́мени	he took off the nice clothes and jewels of the bride.
104:	҆и ѡбле́че ю ꙋ лоши и ꙋ раздрани	And he clothed her in poor and torn ones.
105:	҆и рече и	And he said to her:
106:	когѝ ҆идеме на мой до́мь	ʺWhen we come to my home (...)ʺ
107:	҆ꙗ́ си ҆имамь женꙋ̀	ʺI have a wife.ʺ
108:	҆и да не рече́шь че ҆и тебе ҆имамь за женꙋ	ʺDo not say, that I have you as my wife too!ʺ
109:	нело да рече́шь че сѝ робин͛кꙗ	ʺBut tell, that you are my servant!ʺ
110:	когѝ чꙋ невеста такáва дꙋма на голе́ма жал͛ба дойде ѝ:	When the bride heard such words, a great sorrow came on her.
111:	мло́го жал͛но плáчеше	She wept very sadly.
112:	҆и бг҃ꙋ се молеше	And she prayed to God.
113:	҆и дꙋ́маше	And she was speaking:
114:	гд͒и ҆иї͒се хр͒те виждь жалбꙋ мою̀ ҆и сльзи мо́й	ʺO Lord Jesus Christ, look upon my sorrow and my tears!ʺ
115:	на те́бе се нáдамь гд͒и	ʺI set my hopes upon you, o Lord.ʺ
116:	҆и до́йдохꙋ си на домь	And they came home.
117:	ви́де го жена та мꙋ че во́ди хꙋ́бавꙋ неве́стꙋ млáдꙋ	His wife saw him, that he brings a pretty, young bride.
118:	҆ѡна го попитà	She asked him:
119:	каквá е тáꙗ женà	ʺWho is that woman?ʺ
120:	҆á ҆ѡнь ре́че	And he said:
121:	ро́бинꙗ ми е	ʺ(She) is my servant.ʺ
122:	дове́дохь ю̀ да тѝ слꙋ́гꙋва	ʺI brought her to serve you.ʺ
123:	млáда неве́ста мльче́ше	The young bride was silent.
124:	҆и слꙋгꙋваше	And she served.
125:	҆и но́҆ина господар͛ка ю̀ позна че хо́че ско́ро да ро́ди	And her lady understood (lit. knew her), that she will give birth soon.
126:	҆и караше́ ю на теш͛ки рáботи	And she drove her to (do) hard work,
	дано́ би ꙋмре́ло дете́ то ꙋ корьмо неве́стинь	so that the child in the bride's bosom would die.
127:	҆á бг҃ь ю̀ зачꙋвà	But God protected her.
128:	҆и роди мꙋшко детѐ	And she gave birth to a boy.
129:	҆и прили́чеше на во́йна	And it looked like the soldier.
130:	когѝ; видѐ господар͛ка тако́во детѐ ҆á ѡна се почꙋди	When the lady saw such a child, she wondered.
131:	҆и ꙋ единь день зáпрати робиню не́где по не́кою рáботꙋ	And she sent one day the servant somewhere for something.
132:	҆á ѡна ꙋзе ҆ѿро́вꙋ	And she took poison.
133:	҆и тꙋри на детѐ ꙋ ꙋстá та	And she put (the poison) to the mouth of the child.
134:	коги до:҆иде мáйкꙗ на дете́ то найде́ го мрь́тво	When the mother of the child came back, she found it dead.
135:	҆и жльтѝ пе́ни ҆имаше на ꙋста та	And it had yellow foam around the mouth.
136:	҆á ѡна сирота неве́ста бе́ше разꙋмна	But that poor bride was wise.
137:	не направи гль́чь	She did not make a scandal.
138:	нело̀ жáлеше	But she mourned.
139:	҆и мльче́ше	And she was silent.
140:	҆и ꙋзе мал͛ко вль́ница	And she took a bit of wool.
141:	҆и ѡтри ҆ѡнїѧ пе́ни ѿ ꙋста на дете́ то	And she swept that foam from the mouth of the child.
142:	҆и скри вль́ница та	And she hid the piece of wool.
143:	҆и ꙋ единь; де́нь мꙋ́жь ноень нáправи зꙗфе́ть гощенїе	And one day, her husband threw a party.
144:	призовá си ком͛шїи ҆и сро́дници	He invited neigbors and family.
145:	седе́хꙋ	They sat,
146:	пи́хꙋ	(and) they drank,
147:	и ҆ꙗдохꙋ	(and) they ate.
148:	҆á робин͛кꙗ та ꙋзе ҆о́нáꙗ вльница	And the servant took the piece of wool.
149:	҆и ре́че	And she said:
150:	да ви́димь далѝ ѿ та҆ꙗ̀ пе́нꙗ ҆ꙋ́мре мое́ то дете́н͛це	ʺLet us see, whether my child died of that foam!ʺ
151:	҆и ҆ѡми ҆ѡнаѧ вль́ница ꙋ еднà чáша	And she washed the piece of wool in a cup.
152:	҆и даде на своѧ̀ господар͛ка	And she gave it to her lady.
153:	҆и ѡнá се напи	And she drank (from it).
154:	какво́ се напи; то҆ꙗ̀ чáсь ꙋмре;	When she drank, she died on the spot.
155:	҆и сро́дници но́йни ҆ѡскрьби́ха се	And her relatives became angry.
156:	҆и коги ю закопáхꙋ ҆имахꙋ ҆ѡмишаль на ро́биню	And when they buried her, they had a suspicion towards the servant.
157:	҆и ре́кохꙋ кáко ѡнá ю ҆ѿрови	And they said, that she had poisoned her.
158:	҆и фанахꙋ ро́биню	And they caught the servant.
159:	҆и тꙋриха ю жи́ва ꙋ гро́бь при но́ина господáр͛ка	And they threw her into the grave next to her lady alive.
160:	҆и ѡставихꙋ чл҃ве́ци да чꙋ́вать гробо	And they left people there to guard the grave.
161:	҆и мло́го тегота ҆и смрáдь ҆имаше ѿ ѡнꙋ́ю мрьтвꙋю женꙋ̀ ҆и теснота ꙋ гро́бо	And there was a lot of hardship, and stench from that dead woman, and narrowness in the grave.
162:	҆и мо́леше́ се бг҃ꙋ	And she prayed to God.
163:	҆и дꙋ́маше	And she was saying:
164:	гд͒и бж҃е мо́й ꙋзми́ ми дш҃ꙋ мою	ʺO Lord, my God, take my soul!ʺ
165:	҆и вáмь се мо́лимь ст҃и ҆испове́дници гꙋ́рие ҆и ти само́не ҆и авиво	ʺI pray to you too, o holy confessors Gurias, and you too, o Samon and Habib!ʺ
166:	҆избаве́те ме ѿ това те́сно ме́сто	ʺFree me from this narrow place!ʺ
167:	тако̀ се мо́леше	Thus she prayed.
168:	҆и видѐ;	And she saw:
169:	трѝ мꙋ́жїе прїидо́хꙋ	Three men came.
170:	҆и ре́кохꙋ	And they said:
171:	не бо́и се;	ʺDo not fear!ʺ
172:	ти́ си ҆имáла наде́ждꙋ на нáсь	ʺYou had your hope on us.ʺ
173:	҆и ние не́ ще́мо те́бе ҆ѡстави́ти	ʺAnd we will not leave you.ʺ
174:	тако́ й ре́кохꙋ; ст҃и	Thus the saints said to her.
175:	и́ зáспа женá та	And the woman fell asleep.
176:	҆и за магнове́нїе ҆ѡко нáйде се ҆ꙋ еде́сь грáдь ҆ꙋ́ цр҃квꙋ ст҃омꙋ гꙋ́рию само́нꙋ ҆и ави́вꙋ	And in a moment she found herself in the city of Edessa, in the church of Sts. Gurias, Samon and Habib.
177:	҆и ꙗвихá й се ст҃и	And the saints appeared to her.
178:	҆и рекоха ю	And they said to her:
179:	познáваш ли каде́ си	ʺDo you recognize (it), where you are?ʺ
180:	҆á ҆ѡна се ҆ꙋплáши	And she became afraid.
181:	҆и не можѐ да познáе за мло́го вре́ме	And she could not recognize (it) for a long time.
182:	҆и после по́зна	And then she recognized (it).
183:	҆и возрáдꙋва се	And she became happy.
184:	пáде	She fell (to her knees).
185:	҆и покло́ни се на ст҃ци те	And she bowed to the saints.
186:	҆и ҆о́нї ю ре́кохꙋ	And they said to her:
187:	҆ете нїѧ со́твори́х͛ме твоѧ наде́жда що те́бе предáде мт҃и тво̀҆ꙗ; нáмь	ʺBehold, we fulfilled (lit. created) you hope, (with) which your mother gave yourself to us (?)ʺ
188:	҆и ре́че ѿ нáсь да тѐ сáка	ʺAnd she said, that she wants you (to be brought) by us.ʺ
189:	҆и нїе те: доне́сох͛ме тꙋ́ва	ʺAnd (thus) we brought you here.ʺ
190:	҆и не виде́ ги ни́кой гдѐ ҆ѡтидо́хꙋ	And nobody saw, where they went.
191:	҆и ѡстанꙋ ҆ѡнáꙗ неве́ста ꙋ цр҃к-ва та	And the bride remained in the church.
192:	коги́ би ҆ꙋ ютро до́йде цр҃ко́вни поп да четѐ прáвило	In the morning, the priest of the church came to read the service.
193:	҆и видѐ неве́стꙋ	And he saw the bride.
194:	седѝ ꙋ цр҃квꙋ	She sat in the church.
195:	҆и питá ю	And he asked her:
196:	какво́ си дошлà до тꙋ́ка	ʺHow did you come here?ʺ
197:	҆ѡнá мꙋ каза по ре́дꙋ свѐ що ѐ пати́ла	She told him duly everything, how she fared.
198:	҆и призвáхꙋ но́йна мáйкꙗ	And they summoned her mother.
199:	҆и до́йде бáба; софи́а	And the old Sophia came.
200:	҆и ре́че	And she said:
201:	҆ѡ че́до моѐ що сꙋ̀ на те́бе ти́а роб͛ски дре́хи рáздрáни	ʺO my child, why are those torn servant clothes on you?ʺ
202:	҆и фáнꙋ ю мáйкꙗ ю зá рꙋкꙋ	And her mother took her by the hand.
203:	҆и заве́де сї ю до́ма	And she brought her home.
204:	҆и сав грáдь се зачꙋди	And the whole city was amazed.
205:	҆и ми́нꙋ неколи́ко време	And some time passed.
206:	пáки пратѝ цр҃ь во́йскꙋ ꙋ еде́сь град	The emperor again sent an army to the city of Edessa.
207:	҆и ҆о́нꙗ безꙋмни во́йнь до́йде до ть́щꙋ си	And the mindless soldier went to (visit) his mother in law.
208:	҆и ве́сель чи́неше мꙋ̀ се какво̀ ни́ко̆и не знáе що́ ѐ ҆о́нь сто́риль	And he acted like happy, as no one knew what he had done.
209:	҆и питá го тьща мꙋ	And his mother in law asked him:
210:	що чи́ни моѐ че́до	ʺWhat is my child doing?ʺ
211:	здрáва лї е	ʺIs she healthy?ʺ
212:	҆и онь ре́че	And he said:
213:	здрáва е	ʺShe is healthy.ʺ
214:	҆и родила мї е мꙋ́шко детѐ	ʺAnd she bore me a male child.ʺ
215:	҆á мꙋдра софи́а не може да трьпѝ льжо̀вни ре́чи	And wise Sophia could not suffer the deceptive words.
216:	рáсрьди се	She became angry.
217:	҆и ре́че мꙋ	And she said to him:
218:	ѡ͒ ль́жꙋ ҆и не прáведни ҆и не сми́слени коли́ко си зло сториль	ʺO you unjust and mindless, (saying?) lies, how much evil you have done!ʺ
219:	врáже ҆á не чл҃вече какво̀ не ꙋбоꙗ́ се ѿ бг҃а ҆и ѿ ст҃и ҆испове́дници хр͒то́ви	ʺO you devil, and not a human, how could you not fear God and the holy confessors of Christ?ʺ
220:	҆и на ль́жа си се закле́ль за чт҃но ҆име:. бж҃їе	ʺAnd you falsely vowed (comitted perjury) on the honorable name of God.ʺ
221:	тáко ре́че софи́а	Thus spoke Sophia.
222:	и їзве́де свою; дьщер͛кꙋ пред не́го	And she brought her daughter in front of him.
223:	҆и рече мꙋ	And she said to him:
224:	познáваш ли тáꙗ неве́ста	ʺDo you recognize this bride?ʺ
225:	та҆ꙗ́ ли е що сї ю закопал жи́вꙋ ꙋ гро́бь	ʺIs this (the one), whom you have buried alive in a grave?ʺ
226:	когѝ видѐ неве́стꙋ зло҆ꙋмни во́йнь ѿ стрàхь погꙋ́би сво́й ҆ꙋ́мь	When the evil-minded soldier saw the bride, he lost his mind from the fear.
227:	҆и стáнꙋ като̀ мрь́тавь	And he became like dead.
228:	҆и не можѐ никáкво да продꙋ́ма	And he could not say anything.
229:	҆и некол͛цина чло́ве́ци бе́хꙋ гото́ви да го сврь́жꙋть	And a couple of people were ready to bind him.
230:	҆и врьзáха го	And they bound him.
231:	҆и приве́доха го пре́дь сꙋдїю,	And they brought him to a judge.
232:	приве́доха ҆и неве́стꙋ	They brought the bride too.
233:	҆и онà свѐ по ре́дꙋ ҆исказа	And she duly told everything.
234:	҆и во́йнь не можѐ ни́какь да льжеть	And the soldier could not lie in any way.
235:	повелѐ сꙋ́диꙗ да мꙋ ѿсечꙋ́ть глáвꙋ	(So) the judge commanded (his people), to cut off his head,
	҆и тело̀ него́во на ҆о́гнь да изьго́рать	and to burn his body on a fire.
236:	помо́ли се влдка сꙋдїю	The lord (then) begged the judge,
	да мꙋ: не изго́рꙋть тело́ то на ҆о́гнь	so that they would not burn his body on a fire,
	токмо по прáвдꙋ да ѿсечꙋ́ть него́ва безꙋмна; глáва	(but) only that they would justly cut off his mindless head,
	да сѐ саврь́шꙋть сꙋд͛би бж҃їй	so that the divine judgement be fulfilled.
237:	вь слáвꙋ пре́чт͒ное ҆име ст҃ей ҆и не разделнеи тр͒цѝ	For the glory (of the) most honorable name of the holy and inseparable Trinity,
	҆оц҃а ҆и си́на ҆и ст҃аго дх҃а	of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
	все́гда ни́нѣ ҆и при́сно ҆и во ве́ки все́гда веков	now and ever, and forever.
