19: | ʾi skoro náuči se lekar͛stvo | And he learned medicine soon. |
20: | ʾi katò béše mládo ʾjáko beše xubavo ná licè | And as he was small, he was very beautiful in the face. |

36: | ʾi své se kríeše er͛molája wt stráxь cr̃ev͛ ʾu ednà xíža | And because of fear of the Emperor, Hermolaus hid himself in one hut. |
37: | po kráĭ ʾwnája xíža pan͛taléĭ minúvaše | And Pantaleon used to pass around the hut. |
38: | ta xódeše na máistora | Thus he went to the master (to learn). |
39: | ʾi vidé go ʾóc͂ь ʾer͛molája | And father Hermolaus saw him. |
40: | ʾi pozna gò čé ʾima dx͂ь st̃i u negóvo srdce | And he understood (about) him, that he has Holy Spirit in his heart. |
41: | ʾi vidé go | And he saw him. |
42: | ʾi dobrè razume ʾoc͂ь | And he understood him well. |
43: | ʾi paki go mer͛tikosva če šte da búde pámetь negóvь katò zem͛lja túčna ʾi xlebóródna | And he measured him, that his memory will be like a fruitful and bread-giving soil. |
44: | ʾi mísleše ʾóc̃ь da gw` ʾispíta | And the father thought to educate him. |
45: | ʾi ednò jútro pan͛taléi póminu; po krái vráta | And one morning, Pantaleon passed next to the door. |
46: | ʾi vidé go ʾer͛molája | And Hermolaus saw him. |
47: | ʾi uvede go u dómь svóĭ | And he led him into his house. |
48: | ʾi počè da mù xorotùva ʾoc̃ь | And the father began to speak to him. |
49: | ʾi réče | And he said: |
50: | pan͛talee kakvò béše mt̃i tvoę blágočestíva | ʺO Pantaleon, as your mother was pious,ʺ |
ʾi poklánjaše se xr͒tù | ʺand she worshipped the Christ,ʺ | |
ʾá oc̃ь tvói béše elínecь | ʺbut your father was a pagan,ʺ | |

52: | ʾoč̃e dogdè béše žíva; máti mojà zaman͛ me učéše da stánemь; xr͒tíăninь | ʺO father, as long as my mother lived, she always taught me to become a Christian.ʺ |
53: | no kakvò ʾumre máti mojà ne ma kóĭ da me nastávi na véru xr͒tían͛sku | ʺBut since my mother died, there is no (one), who would bring me to the Christian faith.ʺ |
54: | ʾwc̃ь móĭ ʾi do sьga káni me da se poklónimь ná ĭdole | ʺMy father invites me even until now to bow to the idols.ʺ |
55: | ʾi páki pitá go ʾoc̃ь; | And the father asked him again: |
56: | kakóvь zanaʾjátь ʾučíšь čédo | ʺAnd what profession do you learn for?ʺ |
57: | ʾá pan͛talei réče | And Pantaleon said: |
58: | lekár͛stvo učímь čt̃nì ʾóč̃e | ʺI learn medicine, honorable father.ʺ |
59: | ʾi réče ʾoc̃ь | And the father said: |
60: | ʾw čédo pan͛talee za štó tï e tébe tákovo ʾelin͛sko lekár͛stvo | ʺO Pantaleon, child, what would you have from this pagan medicine?ʺ |
61: | wt tíja ʾelín͛ski lekáre ní edna pómoštь né ma | ʺThere is not a single help from those pagan doctors.ʺ |
62: | verúvame čedo | ʺWe believe, o child.ʺ |
63: | ʾi tója ʾefrosínь tvóĭ máĭstorь | ʺEven that Euphrosynus, your master.ʺ |

71: | čédo pantalée takóvago bg̃a ʾako ʾimašь véruváti | ʺO Pantaleon, child, if you will believe in such a god,ʺ |
ʾi ʾwnь šte tébe daruváti dar͛bu sváka bólestь dá lekúvašь bézь bílki ʾi bézь; kórene | ʺthen he will grant you a gift to heal any illness without herbs or roots.ʺ | |

74: | slépi prosvétuva | ʺHe enlightens the blind.ʺ |

84: | ʾi pomísli kakò právo i ïstina mu réklь ʾóc͂ь | And he thought, that the father told him the truth. |
85: | ʾi réče pan͛taléĭ | And Pantaleon said: |
86: | ʾw´ mt̃i mʾója; míla čul͛ bexь wt tvói te usta takvíva sládki dúmi | ʺO my dear mother, if I had ever heard such sweet words from you!ʺ |
87: | ʾi mlógo mólexь bg̃a da sí žíva | ʺAnd I prayed (to) God many times, so that you were alive,ʺ |
da mé prívedéšь na véru xr͒tóvu | ʺto bring me to the faith in Christ,ʺ | |
da sè poklonimь ʾi ja kakvò se poklánjaše tì | ʺso that I, too, bow down, like you were doing,ʺ | |
ʾi sákaše pómoštь wt négo | ʺand (as) you were asking him for help.ʺ | |
88: | ʾi utvrьdí se pan͛taléĭ na véru ʾi na ljubóvь xr͒tóvu | And Pantaleon strengthened himself in the faith and love for Christ. |
89: | ʾi u ʾedínь dénь ʾide wt máĭstora svóegò | And one day he went from his master. |
90: | ʾi naĭde ʾedno détište ná putь | And he found one child on the way. |
91: | uxapála go źmía | A snake had (likely) bitten it. |

96: | da vídimь dalí su ʾistina tija dumi što mè e poučílь ʾóc͂ь ʾermolaja | ʺLet us see, whether the words, which Father Hermolaus told me, were true!ʺ |
97: | da mì ʾisplь´ni xr͒tosь darbu [...] wt négo | ʺMay the Christ fulfills my gift (?) from him.ʺ |
98: | ʾáko stáne tovà détište zdravo ʾáko ʾwživée ʾa elin͛ski lekáre da ʾumrátь | ʺIf the child becomes healthy, if it becomes alive, then may the pagan doctors die.ʺ |
99: | ʾi ʾjá drugogo ne štémь večè poslušáti | ʺAnd I shall not listen to another one anymore.ʺ |
100: | no tьkmo ʾoc͂a ʾer͛molaja | ʺ(I shall listen) only to Father Hermolaus!ʺ |

104: | vo ʾime xr͒tóvo da stáne détište žívo | ʺIn the name of Christ, may the child becomes alive!ʺ |
105: | wx bž̃e čudesà tvoja | O God, your miracles! |
106: | ʾi katò wt sь´nь stánu detište | And the child woke up as from a sleep. |
107: | ʾwživè | It became alive. |
108: | ʾi réče pan͛talea | And Pantaleon said: |
109: | sagà poznáxь kakvomu bg̃u síl͛nomu štémь da sè poklánʾjamь | ʺNow I understood, how strong God I shall worship!ʺ |
110: | ʾi skóro priïde prì dx͂óvnika ʾer͛molája | And he came soon to the priest Hermolaus. |
111: | ʾi sákaše wt négo kr͛štenïe | And he wanted from him baptism, |
da gò krь´sti dx̃o st̃imь | to baptize him by the Holy Spirit. | |
112: | zaštò pan͛talei ʾi wtc͂ь ʾi maĭkja negóvi rodítele béxu ʾelíne | Because Pantaleon, and his father, and his mother, his parents, were pagans. |

114: | ʾi nauči ʾóc̃ь pan͛taléju kakvo da veruva i kakvo da drьži čt͒otà ʾi da pósti | And the father (Hermolaus) taught Pantaleon how to believe, and how to stay pure and to fast. |

116: | ʾi pričésti go bž͒estvéni táĭnь | And he gave him the divine Eucharist. |
117: | ʾi po nekol͛ko dní ʾótide pan͛taléi pri baštú si | And after some days, Pantaleon went to his father. |

121: | edinь čl͂vekь cr̃evь ugódnik ʾjáko béše zapádnulь u bólestь zlù | ʺOne man, a king's retainer, fell badly ill.ʺ |
122: | ʾi ne wstavíxa méne ʾi máistora moégo [e]frosína | ʺAnd they did not let me and my master Euphrosynus (go).ʺ |

134: | ʾi réče pan͛taléĭ | And Pantaleon said: |
135: | ʾóče koi bg̃ove stanáxu právo | ʺO father, which gods stood up straight?ʺ |
136: | i nikakvo ne sednáxu | ʺAnd they did not sit?ʺ |
137: | ʾi kóĭ sednáxu | ʺAnd which sat?ʺ |
138: | i nikakvo ne mogóxu da stánutь | ʺAnd they could not stand up?ʺ |
139: | ʾi õcь ne možè ni málo da mu wtrečè | And the father could not answer him a bit. |
140: | nitì možè da sé seti | Nor could he understand it. |
141: | no po nekol͛ko dnì fanu dá mrázi bógove te svóĭ | But, after a couple of days, he began to hate his gods. |
142: | ʾi pan͛taléĭ štéše da sakruši sví te ʾidolè | And Pantaleon was going to destroy all the idols. |
143: | no né štejà dá ʾwskrь´bi ʾoc͂a svóʿego | But he did not want to make his father sad. |
144: | tь´kmo sákaše sásь dúma da go ʾwbrь´ne na véru ʾi da verúva v͛ xr͒ta | He wanted only to convert him to the (Christian) faith with a word, and him to believe in Christ. |
145: | ʾi sásь bž̃ïemь povelénïemь ʾi sasь čudesa svoę` privéde pan͛taleja ʾoc̃a svoégo | And by the God's command and with his own miracles, Pantaleon brought his father (to the Christian faith). |

157: | ʾisceli me da prózremь | ʺHeal me, so that I can see!ʺ |

162: | no ʾi wšte što imax st̃ь sásь níxno lekúvane pogubíx͛ go | ʺBut furthermore I lost that, what light (sight) I had.ʺ |
163: | ʾi ʾwstaxь do kon͛ca slépь ʾwkaʾjáni | ʺAnd I became totally blind, a poor one.ʺ |
164: | ʾi réče st̃i pan͛taléĭ slépcu | And St. Pantaleon said to the blind man: |
165: | sve tvóe ʾiménïe na vračéve si razdálь | ʺYou gave away all your property to doctors.ʺ |
166: | ʾi ne sì polučílь ʾiscelénïe | ʺAnd you did not receive healing.ʺ |
167: | ʾá ja da tè ʾiscélim͛ što xóčeš͛ mi dáti | ʺAnd, be it I heal you, what would you give me?ʺ |
168: | réče slepécь | The blind man said: |
169: | što mí e ʾwstálo u mói dómь potréba tebe své da gò dadémь | ʺI shall give you everything, whatever needed had remained in my house.ʺ |
170: | réče st̃i | The saint said: |
171: | tvoi ʾóči xóče ʾistini bg̃ь ʾiscelíti sás͛ méne | ʺThe True God will heal your eyes with me.ʺ |
172: | ʾá što sì rék͛lь da mì dadéšь dar rádi ʾiscelenïe | ʺAnd that, what you have said to give me as a gift for the healing,ʺ |

176: | ʾi réče mu ʾóc͂ь | And his father said: |
177: | ne nafaštaĭ se čédo da ʾizьlekuvašь togóva človéka | ʺDo not hope to heal that man, o child!ʺ |
178: | če štéšь da sè zasrámišь wt t(vo)egó máistora ʾi wt drugi lekáre po véšti | ʺFor you will put yourself to shame before your master and, even more, before the other, more knowleadgeable doctors.ʺ |
179: | tol͛ko wt ni véšti lékare ne možéxu da gò ʾizlekúvatь | ʺSo many (more) knowledgeable doctors than us were unable to heal him!ʺ |
180: | ta ti li šteš nego da ʾiscélišь | ʺAnd you (think that you) are going to heal him?ʺ |

182: | ʾóč̃e drúgi ne móže da íscel͛va kato ʾjá | ʺO father, others cannot heal like me.ʺ |
183: | zaštò e móĭ máĭstorь nadi sví te po lekarь | ʺBecause my master is a better healer than all of them.ʺ |
184: | ʾá bašté mu se pomneše če za maʾistora si ʾefrosína dúma | And his father thought, that he meant Euphrosynus to be his master. |

no ʾi drugi mlozina pover͛vaxu vь xr͒ta | but also many others started to believe in Christ. | |

200: | ʾi kato go ʾisceli pan͛taléi a ʾwnь poveruva sa svè srdce iï͒sa xr͒tà | And as Pantaleon healed him, he believed in Jesus Christ with all his heart. |

625: | da nè ugódvame vrágu | Let us not be pleasant to the Enemy! |
626: | no da budemo čísti sásь télo ʾi sásь dš̃u | But let us be pure in body and soul! |

628: | ʾi da drьžíme véru kakvo ʾwbíče xr͒tósь ʾi svì st̃i | But let us uphold the faith, as the Christ and all the saints like! |

da nì dadè bg̃ь pomošt što ʾwréme ʾi kópame | so that God gives us help, when we till (the earth) and dig, | |
da ni sè ródi | so that (the earth) gives us fruit, | |
ʾi dьžь blágь vь svóè vréme da nì dadè bg̃ь | and that God gives us good rain in its time. | |
631: | ʾi wt sví stráni da ni dade bg̃ь pómoštь | And may God gives us help from all sides. |
632: | ʾi da smo se zabávili | And let us have spent some time! |
633: | zašto nïę pokazaxme u st̃oe pisanïe nekolíko reči | Because we showed some words in the holy scripture. |
634: | zʾáradi tova ne štè bg̃ь násь da sudi | God will not judge because of that. |
635: | miè st̃ci naši da praznuvame | Let us celebrate our saints! |
636: | ʾi da gi poxod͛vame často u st̃ię cr̃ki | And let us visit them often in the holy churches. |

638: | ʾi da ni pomágatь na dš̃u ʾi na télw | And may they help us on the soul and the body. |
