| 24: | i reče starecъ | And the old man said: | 
| 25: | lepo gledai čado | ʺLook closely (lit.: well), childʺ | 
| 26: | kogi upadne popъ u takovi grexъ ne ima nemu proštenie | ʺWhen a priest falls into such sin, there is no forgiveness for himʺ | 
| 27: | no da ne služi veče | ʺbut he will not serve any moreʺ |

| 70: | i postriže go starecъ petrъ vъ monašeski obrazъ | And the old man Peter cut his hair in the image of a monk |

| 75: | i moleše se popъ starъcu petru da go pušti u onaja skutnička | And the priest was begging to the old man Peter to let him into that cellar | 
| tamo da sedi u onaja tesnota dogde e živъ | to sit there in that tight place as long as he is alive | |
| 76: | i starecъ go upušti u skutnicu | And the old man let him into the cellar | 
| 77: | vъleze erei va nju | The priest went into it | 
| 78: | iskova juže železno i na juže to pirone | He forged an iron rope (wire) And on the rope (he forged) nails | 
| 79: | i okolъ šiju svoju iskova železni okovi sirečъ xapove | And around his neck he forged iron shackles, that is handcuffs | 
| 80: | i drugia krai na juže to zakova u stenu | And he nailed the other end of the rope to the wall | 
| 81: | i kato se beše okovalъ samъ sebe okajani za stenu i ne izleze tri dni pri starъca | And as he had nailed himself, the miserable one, to the wall, he did not go out to the old man for three days | 
| 82: | i starec vide če ne izlazi popъ izъ skutnicu | And the old man saw that the priest was not going out of the cellar | 
| 83: | a starecъ vъleze pri popa samъ | And the old man hilself went in to the priest | 
| 84: | i vide popa | And he saw the priest | 
| 85: | okolъ šiju popu okovi železni | Around his neck (were) iron shackles | 
| 86: | i juže železno na šiju popu i u stenu zakovano | And an iron rope (was) nailed to the priest's neck and to the wall | 
| 87: | i vide starecъ | And the old man saw (it) | 
| 88: | i počudi se | and he started wondering | 
| 89: | i reče | and he said: | 
| 90: | što si storilъ sne takova čudesa | ʺWhy did you do such miracles, o son?ʺ | 
| 91: | i kako štešъ da izidešъ na proxodъ kato si se tuka privezalъ i okovalъ | ʺAnd how will you go out for a pass (toilet?) if you have chained and shackled yourself here?ʺ | 
| 92: | i gde li potrebu telu tvoemu da uzmešъ | ʺAnd where will you take what you need for the body?ʺ |

| 102: | i priimi starecъ molъbu popovu | And the old man accepted the priest's request | 
| 103: | i po dva dni prinoseše emu xlebъ i po malo vodu | And every two days he brought him bread and a little water | 
| 104: | i popъ kogi zemeše ot toja xlebъ i sasъ slъzi go obljaeše | And whenever the priest took from that bread, he poured tears on it | 
| 105: | i tako ot xleba edeše | And he ate from the bread like this | 
| 106: | i terъpe onъ u takovo smradno mesto tri godinъ | And he suffered at that stinking place for three years | 
| 107: | i po tova radi molenie popovo oprosti bgъ emu sogrešenie | And after that, because of the priest's prayer, God forgave him his sin | 
| 108: | i doide anъgelъ gdnъ | And an angel of God came | 
| 109: | i reče mu | and he said to him: | 
| 110: | o ieree gotovъ budi | ʺOh priest, be ready!ʺ | 
| 111: | doide denъ da se prestavišъ | ʺThe day has come for you to dieʺ | 
| 112: | i paki reče petru aggelъ | And the angel said to Peter again: | 
| 113: | idi starъče | ʺGo, old manʺ | 
| 114: | razreši pokajanie ereju | ʺAllow the priest repentenceʺ | 
| 115: | i približi se petrъ | And Peter went near (him) | 
| 116: | i reče ereju | And he said to the priest: | 
| 117: | ti štešъ sega da umrešъ | ʺYou will now dieʺ | 
| 118: | a popъ se moleše starъcu | And the priest was begging the old man: | 
| 119: | ne otvezuvai me ot stenu | ʺDo not untie me from the wall!ʺ | 
| 120: | tako privezanъ da umremъ | ʺLet me die tied like this!ʺ | 
| 121: | a petrъ reče | And Peter said: | 
| 122: | ne dei čado moe | ʺMy child, do not!ʺ | 
| 123: | ne podobaetъ tebe tako da bude | ʺIt is not appropriate for you to be.ʺ | 
| 124: | erei bo esi | ʺFor you are a priestʺ | 
| 125: | no molitvu tebe da pročetemъ na isxodъ dši | ʺBut let us read a prayer for the departure of your soul.ʺ | 
| 126: | i tako bgu dšu svoju predade | and so he gave up his soul to God | 
| 127: | i uspe sa mirom | and he died in peace |

| tako možeši i sačuvati sebe ot bludnago onago sotvorenija | thus you can save yourself from the sinful creation. | |
| 129: | nikako ne podobaetъ sšteniku da beseduetъ sasъ mladimъ čuždimъ ženam | It is not appropriate for a priest to have idle conversations with strange, young women, | 
| neželi i sasъ staroju ženoju | (more?) than with an old woman. | |
| 130: | poneže žena ognъ bo estъ | Because a woman is a fire. | 
| 131: | dobre xrani se ot besedъ ženъski jako že ot ogъnъ | Guard yourself from idle discussions with women like from the fire. |

| tokmo tomu potrebno estъ razumeti sie sšteničesko delo i grexъ radi sšteničeskii | it is important to (any reader to?) understand this matter of priesthood and sins of the priests. | |
| 134: | to estъ sami sebe da umudrime | That is: Let us make ourselves wise! | 
| 135: | i da pomislime nikakъ bgu da ne sogrešaeme | And let us think, how not to sin against God in any way. | 
| 136: | poneže aggelъski venecъ na glavu našu nosime | Because we carry an angelic wreath on our head(s). | 
| 137: | ašte koi popъ ne razumeetъ sie pisanie | If any priests does not understand this writing, | 
| toi ni va crkovъ bžiju da ne vnidetъ | may he does not even enter a church of God! | |
| 138: | no i mirъjanomъ sie nikakъ da izvestit | But do not even let him to speak to laymen about this! | 
| 139: | poneže mi sštenici esmi naše sogrešenie da ne vnidetъ vo uši mirъjanomъ | Because we are priests. May our sin does not enter the ears of the laymen! | 
| 141: | no sami sebe da uničižime | But let us destroy by ourselves. |
