2: како подобáеть: град͛скимь: кне́земь ҆или́ сел͛скимь: власти́телемь: [Title] What is appropriate for princes of cities or powerful men of villages
3: горе́ вáмь насил͛ници [Title] Woe to you, o violent ones!
4: слово. ст҃áго: пр͒рока: захариа. къ не мл͒тивимь: кне́земь и ҆ѡ сꙋде [Title] Homily of holy prophet Zachariah to merciless princes and about the Judgement
5: Ре́че гд͒ь вамь не мл̂ти́ви кнезове: The Lord says to you, o merciless princes:
6: сꙋдь прáведень твори́те You do righteous judgements (!).
7: мл͒ти ҆и разꙋмь ♣ ҆имáйте све́ки за свою̀ дш҃ꙋ Have mercy and reason for your soul!
8: вдови́ци ҆и си́роти ҆и пришел͛ци ҆и сиромáси не насил͛вáйте Do not force widows and orphans, newcomers and poor ones!
9: ѕло на ни́коего брáта вáшего не поминаите Do not think of evil to any of your brothers!
10: ни ва срдце ваше дá имате ѕло́бꙋ да ҆ѡклеве́тите чл҃века за прáвдꙋ на проклети ҆áгаре́не ҆и на лю́ти крьво[...]ци Nor, may you have no such evil in your heart, that you would slander a man for his righteousness in front of accursed Hagarenes and fierce bloodthirsters!
11: но вие разꙋмеи́те се But you, be reasonable!
12: ҆ако бꙋ́де некои нещо ѕло сотвори́ль ҆á вие го ѿзове́те: на странꙋ̀ If one would do something evil, take him to side!
13: ҆и противно не́мꙋ дꙋмайте за това ѕло що ѐ стори́ль And talk to him about the evil he had done!
14: ҆áко бꙋде; за сꙋдь посꙋди́ го If he should be judged, judge him!
15: ҆и наꙋчи́ го And teach him!
16: ҆и добре поби го And beat him well!
17: ҆и не дай мꙋ ҆о́бразь да гово́ри л͛жꙋ но́ прáвдꙋ да се наꙋчи And give him an example (?) not to speak lie, but to learn righteousness!
18: ҆и за лꙋдꙋ не ѡпáда҆ите And do not fall away for madness (?)!
19: брáта вáшего на ꙋбиве́нїе (Do not put?) your brother to death!
20: по ꙋбивенїе ҆и гор͛ка самрь́ть бꙋдꙋ́ва (For) after killing, a bitter death awaits (the murderer).
21: ҆и коги хоротꙋ́ва неко́й чл҃векь не́ праве́дно не слꙋ́шаите го And if somebody is speaking unjustly, do not listen to him!
22: тоꙗ чл҃векь се зовѐ клеве́тникь Such a man is called a slanderer.
23: ҆и ꙋши вáши ѡтег͛чи́те како да не чꙋ́ете такáва не прáведна дꙋма And harden (?) your ears, so that you don't hear such unjust words!
24: ҆и срдце вáше ҆ѡбрьнете на прáвдꙋ ҆и на добрꙋ ми́сль And turn your heart to truth/righteousness and good mind!
25: пáки ре́че гд͒ь не мл͒тивимь кнеземь Again, the Lord said to merciless princes:
26: ѡ͒ кне́зове срдце вáше ҆и разꙋмь вашь стáнꙋ голе́мь O princes, your heart and your mind became haughty!
27: и не ви́дите брáйкꙗ вáши какво ҆идꙋть при вáсь And you do not see your brothers coming to you.
28: та ви се мо́лать за не́коꙗ беда And they pray you because of some misfortune.
29: ҆и стою́т ви на нозе And they stand (in front of) you on their legs.
30: ҆á вїе ги ҆и не гле́дате And you do not even look at them.
31: и ҆ѡще ҆им сѐ сме҆етѐ And you even laught at them!
32: ҆и грабите домѝ на сиромáси And you rob the houses of the poor.
33: ҆и насил͛вате хр͒тйӑни мо́й And you violate my Christians.
34: ҆и закона мое́го ѿ големи́ню вашꙋ зáбоварих͛те And you forget my Law for your arrogance.
35: ҆á не зна҆ете́ ли ҆ѡ безꙋ́мни кне́зове Do you not know, o mindless princes?
36: коги прїидꙋт сиромáси брáйкꙗ ваши при ме́не да се ҆ѡговорꙋт ѿ вась When you poor brothers come to me to renounce (?) themselves from you,
҆и ꙗ щемь да ги послꙋшам I shall listen to them.
37: тоги́ва каде щете да ꙋбе́гнете ѿ страха мо́҅его Where will you run then, fearing me?
38: тогива ще́мь да ймь рече́мь да викать на вáсь като̀ пасти́рь по вльци Then I will tell them to shout at you as a shepherd on wolves.
39: тоги́ва каде ще́те да се скри́етѐ ҆ѡ тол͛кова викоть Where will you hide from so much shouting?
40: ѡͯ гор͛ко вамь насил͛ници ҆и бездꙋ́шници Woe to you, o violators and soulless ones!
41: щемь да пꙋщим срьдба ҆и ꙗдь мо́й на вáсь I will release by anger and wrath on you.
42: та щете ѿ сáбию да поги́нете Then you will die by the saber.
43: ҆и щемь да рече́мь на страшни мо́й ҆áг҃гли And I will tell my terrible angels,
ва ви́хре да ви понесꙋт вáсь ҆и доми ҆и че́да вáши to take you in a storm wind, you and your houses and children,
да бꙋ́дете како прахь so that you will be like a dust,
҆и да ви предаде́мь ва пле́нь да ви́ and I will give you over to captivity,
҆ѡпле́нать ꙗзи́чници вар͛вари ҆и ерети́ци ҆и тꙋр͛ци безбо́жници so that you will be conquered by pagans, barbarians, heretics and godless Turks!
44: ҆и щемь да затво́ри ва͒ като ехо́нїю ꙋ цр҃квꙋ плаче́внꙋ And I will incarcerate you as Jeconiah into a church of weeping,
гдето̀ никоги не престáꙗ плáчь wherein the weeping never ceases,
като ꙋ цáра вавилон͛скаго какво̀ бе́ше срь́дба бж҃їꙗ на них as in (the time of) King of Babylon, as the wrath of God fell upon them,
45: че предадохꙋ зе́млю на запꙋ́сте́нїе because they gave their land to desolation,
46: и пролиахꙋ крь́вь мно́го and they spilled a lot of blood.
47: ҆и не покорихꙋ се ҆онѝ брáть брáтꙋ And they did not submit to each other, (like) a brother to brother.
48: тако́й ҆и вїе кне́зове законь мо́й поразих͛те Thus also you princes strucked my Law.
49: ҆и цр҃кви мо́й ѡмрьси́х͛те And you tainted my churches.
50: сщ҃е́ници мо́й не по́милꙋвах͛те що ви врь́шать законь ꙋ цр҃кви You did not have mercy with my priests, who fulfill the Law in the church for you.
51: сщ҃еници мо́й не вер͛вате́ ги You do not believe my priests.
52: ҆и сась сщ҃е́ници мо́й глꙋм͛ствꙋ́сте And you mock my priests.
53: не почи́тате гѝ And you do not respect them.
54: ҆á не знаете ли защо́ се сщ҃енїкь нари́ча ҆áпл͒ь мо́й And don't you know, why a priest is called my apostle?
55: ҆и не пресил͛ваите сщ҃енїка And do not force a priest!
56: но проти́вете ҆емꙋ But stand against him!
57: ҆и когда сврьши попь ꙋтреню прáво ҆á то шесто̀крилáти серафимь наричá се And when a priest finishes the morning liturgy, he is called a six-winged seraph.
58: ҆а когда сврьши попь бж҃тве́нꙋю лѵтꙋр͛ги́ю като сꙋ́щи ҆áг҃гель нарича се And when a priest finishes the morning liturgy, he is called like a true angel.
59: ҆и вие кнезове ҆áко се не покаеете ѿ насилїе вáше теш͛ко ҆и гор͛кѡ вамь ҆ѡкаꙗни And you, priests, if you do not repent for your violence, (it will be) hard and bitter to you, wretched ones!
60: ҆áще ли се сми́рите ҆и покáете и ꙗ вáсь хощꙋ ҆избавити ѿ лꙋкави ҆ези́чници If you make peace and repent, I shall free you from the pagans.
61: ҆и да ви сподо́бимь вь цр͒тво моѐ нб͒ное And may I make you worthy for my Kingdom of Heaven.
62: бг҃ꙋ нашемꙋ слáва Glory (be) to our God,
ни́нѣ̀ ҆и при́сно и во ве́ки веко́вь now and ever, and forever!
63: ҆аминь Amen.
