38: | i prizova xitri zlatare | And he called for able goldsmiths. |
39: | i reče imъ | And he told them: |
40: | napravete mi čtni krtъ kakvato mi se javi na sъnъ | ʺMake a (model of the) True Cross for me, as it appeared in a dream to me.ʺ |
41: | i napravixa go sasъ zlato i sasъ marъgaritъ i sa besceni kamene | And they made it with gold and with pearls and with priceless stones. |
42: | i gotovi se da ide na boi | And he prepared himself for a fight. |
43: | źločestivi maѯenъtija vide cra kostandina če priide blizu pri rimъ gradъ sasъ mnogo voisku | The evil Maxentius saw Emperor Constantine, that he came to the city of Rome with a large army. |
44: | togiva reče maѯenъtia skoro voiska da se zbere | Then Maxentius commanded the army to assemble soon. |

81: | a crca elena imъ preteše sasъ mučenie | But Empress Helen threatened them with torture, |

97: | i tamo na onova mesto beše naturana gora mnog i kamene i posipani ozgorъ sa zemlju | And there, on that place, a hill of a lot of stones covered from above by earth had been put over it. |
98: | anъdrianъ crъ povele na onova mesto da napravi crkvu idolъsku | Emperor Hadrian (had) commanded to build a church of idolaters on that place. |
99: | i ostavi u crkva ta kumirъ popъ evreiski | And he left an idol (and) a Jewish priest in the church. |
100: | a crca elena povele da razvali crkvu idolъsku | But the Empress commanded to tear the church of idolaters down, |
i zemlju da raskopa | and to dig the earth, | |
i goru i kamenie da rasfrъga | and to cast away the stones and the hill, | |
da naide čtni krtъ gdnъ | to find the True Cross of the Lord. | |
101: | i otide crca elena na tova mesto i makaria patriarxъ | And the Empress Helen and Patriarch Makarios went to that place. |
102: | i pomolixu se bgu na toi mesto | And they prayed to God on that place. |
103: | i sasъ bžiemъ poveleniemъ izide merizma xubava blga | And with the command of God, a nice scent came out. |
104: | i javi se grobъ i mesto gdne na istokъ | And the grave and the place of Lord appeared in the East. |
105: | i blizu pri onai grobъ namerixu pogrebeni tri krti | And next to the grave, they found three crosses buried. |
106: | i potomъ namerixu i čtnię venъci | And then they also found the honorable wreaths. |
107: | i krtove te bexu jako xubavi koliko da se ne domisli člvekъ koi e xrtovъ krtъ | And the crosses were so much beautiful, that one could not find out, which was the cross of Christ. |
108: | toliko bexu xubavi | They were so beautiful. |
109: | i va toi vreme iznesoxu ednu devicu mertvu | And in that time they brought out a dead girl. |
110: | ta ju zanosexu na grobъ da ju pogrebutъ | And so they carried her to the grave to bury her. |
111: | a makaria patriaxъ reče | And Patriarch Makarios said: |
112: | stanete čeda kude zanosite tuju merъtvu devicu | ʺStay, children!ʺ ʺWhere do you carry that dead girl?ʺ |

115: | ne bi čudesa | There was no miracle. |

117: | paki ne bi čudo | Again, there was no miracle. |
118: | kogi položixu i trekija krъstъ na devicu abie .:. ožive devica | When they also put the third cross on the girl, she immediately became alive. |
119: | i stanu sasъ siloju bžtvnago krta gdnja | And she stood up by the power of the divine Cross of the Lord. |

144: | i nareče ime montiru voskrnie gda našego iisa xrta na mesto kade beše grobъ gdnъ | And she gave the name to the monastery at the place of the grave of the Lord ʺResurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christʺ. |
145: | jako xubavo crca ukrasi stgo mntra sve u srebro i u zlato | The Empress decorated the holy monastery very nicely. Everything (was) in silver and in gold. |
146: | i ot onova vreme i do dnešni denъ krtъ gdnъ namъ pomaga | And since then up to even today the Cross of the Lord helps us. |
147: | i veliki crъ kostanъdinъ ukači na visoki mramorъ čtnago krta na stlъpъ na jako xubavo mesto | And the great Emperor Constantine placed the True Cross on a high marmor place, on a pillar, a very nice place. |
148: | i na toja stlъpъ turixu židove evree drъvo | And on that pillar the Jews-Hebrews put wood (?). |
149: | i raspexu na nego xrta bga našego štoto namъ davaše iscelenie ot vasakija bolezni | And they cruicified on it the Christ, our God, who was giving us healing from all illnesses. |
150: | † ox mili moi xrtoljubivi xrtiani da ne reče nekoi azъ ne veruvamъ tova čudo ne e bilo | O my dear Christ-loving Christians, may no one says, (that) I do not believe in that miracle. |

160: | koi izjavi pismena moi predъ xrtiani koito ne umejut knigu da četutъ i oni da budutъ blgosloveni če ne umejut da četutъ | ʺBlessed be those, who clarify my letters in front of Christians, who cannot read!ʺ ʺBecause they cannot read.ʺ |
161: | a verno slovo moe razumevajut da imutъ pomoštъ ot mene do života svoego | ʺAnd (thus) they (will) understand my word of truth, so that they will have help from me until (the end of) their life.ʺ |
162: | a čitatel da pročete sladъki moi reči da ispravit lepo | ʺAnd may the reader read my sweet words, to make it well (?).ʺ |
