2: кáко подобáеть сщ҃еникꙋ̀, дер͛жáти чт͒о́тꙋ пре́дь ст҃ꙋю трапе́зꙋ .:. [Title] How is it appropriate for a priest to maintain purity in front of the holy altar
3: Пáки же ти ѡ͒ презви́терꙋ пасти́рꙋ хри́сто́во стáдо пасе́шь And again, o presbyter, you herd the flock of Christ.
4: ҆и пред͛стателю: ♣ стрáшнеи ҆егѡ̀ трапе́зе ҆и за све́кꙋю потре́бꙋ цр҃ков͛нꙋ бꙋ́ди ҆избрáнь And (as) one standing in front of His terrible altar, be chosen for every need of church!
5: сотворѝ се́бе ве́рень Make yourself faithful!
6: ҆и возносѝ мл҃твꙋ бг҃ꙋ And lift the prayer to God!
7: ѡ͒ иере́е чꙋвáй се ѿ пиꙗн͛ство O priest, guard yourself from excessive drinking!
8: пи́ꙗн͛ство ꙋгнꙋ́сва мт҃вꙋ твою Excessive drinking makes your prayer disgusting.
9: ҆и не сме́шаи дꙋ́мꙋ твою̀ сáсь про́сти лю́дїе And do not mix your word with simple people!
10: гле́даи ҆оч҃е че сáсь бг҃а хоротꙋ́вашь Do mind, o father, that you talk with God!
11: тело̀ твое чт͒о чꙋ́вай Keep your body pure!
12: гле́дай добрѐ Watch well!
13: защо̀ чьт͒о хо́дишь при́ бг҃а сáсь братїѧ тво́й Because you often go to God with your brothers.
14: кро́тко ходѝ; сáсь но́зе тво́й Walk humbly with your legs!
15: защо̀ на ме́сто ст҃о́ сто́҆ишь Because you stand on a holy place.
16: чꙋвáй рꙋ́це тво́й ѿ васáко не чи́стѡ Guard your hands from anything impure!
17: защо̀ сáсь ти́ѧ рꙋ́це при҆емашь тело̀ хр͒то́во Because with those hands you receive the body of Christ.
18: смире́нїе прїимѝ Accept humbleness!
19: ҆и ꙋ ни́що себе не тꙋ́ра҅и And throw nothing (evil) on yourself,
да тѐ призовꙋ́ть при́ бг҃а so that they invite you to God,
да при́зре бг҃ь: на те́бе so that God looks upon you with mercy!
20: на смире́нїе чл҃ве́че призирáеть гд͒ь The Lord looks with mercy on human humbleness.
21: ҆и чт͒ь ҆име́й ѧзи́кь да нѐ ҆ѡсꙋ́дишь не́кого чл҃ве́ка And have your tongue pure, so that you do not judge over somebody!
22: поне́же сáсь чи́сто срдце слáвишь: бг҃а сáсь ҆áгг҃ели Because you celebrate God with angels with a pure heart.
23: ꙋкло́нꙗи се чáсто ѿ злѝ: чл҃ве́ци да ти се не смꙋ́ти пáметь Avoid often the bad people, so that your mind is not worried!
24: ҆и чи́стꙋ, мл҃твꙋ бг҃ꙋ помоли́ се And give a pure prayer to God!
25: мл͒ти́вь бꙋ́ди на си́ромáси ѿ бг҃а мл̂ть да нáйдешь Be merciful to the poor, so that you find mercy by God!
26: пристꙋ́пай; при ст҃и престо́ль Step to the holy altar!
27: ҆и ѿфрьли ѿ себе васáкꙋ мир͛скꙋ ѕлꙋ̀ поми́сль ѿ срдца твое́го And cast off from your heart every wordly bad thought!
28: товà ме́сто дето̀ ти сто́йшь ст҃о́ ҆есть́ The place where you stand ist holy.
29: поменѝ ҆оч҃е ꙋ ст҃ие мл҃тви брáтїи тво́й Remember your brothers in the holy prayers!
30: ҆и не пꙋ́щаи глáсь висо́ко ҆и разно когѝ пе́ешь пе́нїе ва цр҃ко́вь бж҃їю And do not let your voice high and changing, when you sing a song in the church of God!
31: че висо́кь глáсь ѿго́нꙋва: смире́нїе чл͒ве́ческо Because a high voice scares the human humbleness away.
32: но почи́таи сáсь при́лежанїемь крот͛ко какво̀ ҆ꙋчехꙋ ст҃и оц҃и брáтїю твою̀ But give respect with work to what holy fathers taught your brothers!
33: не де́и не по́требно но рáзꙋмно And do not (speak?) unappriopriately!
34: не́ наꙋчѝ ѕло но какво́ те ҆ꙋчꙋть стари повеле́нїе на стáри сщ҃енїци Do not learn evil (teachings), but what the old ones teach - commandments of old priests!
35: ҆á не де́й на свою мисль да нѐ подь сáбию бж҃їю ꙋпáднеш And do not (heed?) to your own mind, so that you want fall under the God's saber!
36: не насищаи ꙋтро́бꙋ мно́го And do not satiate your body (too) much,
да нѐ ѿте́гне ти; снагà so that you body does not stretch (?),
да не ди́хашь so that you are not (able to?) breathing,
да ти́ се згнꙋ́си so that you would be disgusted,
да раси́пешь ҆изь себе ст҃аго дх҃а so that you would spill out of yourself the Holy Spirit,
щото̀ хо́ди сáсь дáри ҆и щото̀ сто́и ꙋ ст҃и пре́сто́ль who comes with gifts and who stands at the holy throne.
37: ҆и не ҆ѡбьзирай се чáсто назáдь And do not look around often!
38: но́ возведѝ ҆о́ч҃и горе на нб҃са But turn your eyes up, towards the heavens!
39: ми́рь ҆и поклоне́нїе сотворѝ Make peace and respect!
40: ҆и пре́дь ҆о́льтарь бе́зь ҆осꙋжденїе пре́дьстанѝ And stand in front of the altar without judging!
41: ҆и дигнѝ рꙋ́це And raise your hands!
42: ҆и помоли́ се бг҃ꙋ And pray to God!
43: ҆и за товà пакѝ ти дꙋ́мамь And that is why I tell you:
44: † ҆ѡ слꙋжи́телю хр͒то́вь чꙋвáй се ѿ пиан͛ство O servant of Christ, guard yourself from excessive drinking!
45: серафи́м се нари́чашь пль́тни; You call yourself a seraph with a body.
46: ҆и не е прилично те́бе да седи́шь да пїешь ви-но без ме́рꙋ And it is not appropriate for you to sit, drinking wine without measure.
47: ҆ѡ ҆иере́е вразꙋме́и се O priest, do mind!
48: защо̀ ви́но стор͛ва чл҃века Because wine makes a man (unmindful?).
49: та стáꙗ ҆и сре́бролю́бець ҆и кавгаџи́а And then he becomes silver-loving and quarrelsome.
50: та стáѧ ҆ѡсꙋжде́нь And thus he becomes judged.
51: ҆и хоротꙋ́ва не потре́бно
52: ҆и ҆ꙗдови́ть And (thus he becomes) angry.
53: ҆и за блꙋдь поми́слꙋва And he thinks about (committing) sins.
54: товà не́ подобáет сщ҃е́никꙋ да тво́ри: This is not appropriate for a priest to do.
55: защо е товà ҆áг҃гл͛ска слꙋ́жба Because it is an angelic service.
56: та тре́бе сась чи́нь ҆áн҃гел͛ски да слꙋ́жишь те́лꙋ христо́вꙋ And thus you have to serve the body of Christ with an angelic honor.
57: поне́же сáсь ҆áг҃гели смешáеши се Because you mix up with angels.
58: ҆и си́ли нб͒нїе сáсь нáсь не ви́димо слꙋ́жꙋть And the heavenly powers unseen serve with us.
59: но ти презви́тере бꙋ́ди сми́слень But you, o priest, be mindful!
60: ҆и разꙋме́й что̀ ҆есѝ And understand, what you are!
61: нали сáсь ҆о́ч҃и слꙋ́жишь Do you serve with your eyes?
62: добрѐ разꙋме́и что̀ ҆еси Understand well, what you are!
63: ти работáй гд͒ви со стрáхомь ҆и сась любо́вь Work for the Lord with fear and with love!
64: и сви́ те ѕли́ ҆и пꙋ́сти на҆ꙋки ѿ се́бе ѿфрьлѝ And cast off yourself all the bad and vain doctrines!
65: та анг҃ел͛скꙋю слꙋ́жбꙋ при се́бе при́ложѝ And lay on yourself the angelic service!
66: ҆и тꙋ со стрáхомь ҆и сáсь любо́вь ҆и гове́нїе да держи́шь And may you hold it with fear, and with love, and piety.
67: ҆и нб҃си да ликовствꙋеши сáсь ҆аг҃гли вь безконе́чнїѧ ве́ки ҆Ѡ хр͒те їи͒се гд͒е нáшемь And (then) may you celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ with angels in the Heaven for everlasting ages.
68: Емꙋ́ же Слáва ҆И ни́нѣ̀ ҆И при́сно ҆И Во ве́ки Веко́вь Glory (be) to Him, now and ever and forever!

71: ♣ ре́че бо ст҃и ҆ап͒ль фи́липь For the holy apostle Philipp said:
72: дерзáите ꙋбо .:. сщ҃енїци ʺDo dare, o priests!ʺ
73: ҆и не́ престано † моли́твꙋ .:. бг҃ꙋ .:. творе́те ʺAnd pray to God without ceasing!ʺ
74: з[а]неже по самрь́ть .:. не́ сть .:. пока҆ꙗнїе ʺBecause there is no regret after death.ʺ
75: .:. но бг҃ꙋ .:. ꙋгождáите ʺBut be pleasing to God!ʺ
