| 6: | koi člvekъ stori nekoi grexъ | One, who does a sin, | 
| i pomisli na svoi pametъ da se ne ostavi ot źlъ pomišlъ | and who thinks on his mind not to leave his bad intention, | |
| to na sebe mlogo grexъ vozlagatъ | he puts a lot of sin on himself. | |
| 7: | i na sebe sudъ prinositъ | And he brings the Judgement on himself. | 
| 8: | ja pomislete o bratie moi kakva duma da podumame da se opravime na onova strašnoe sudište i groznoe mesto ispitanie | Think, o my brothers, what word will you say to defend ourselves on that terrible Judgement Day and the awesome place of Trial! | 
| 9: | mnogo straxъ golemъ | (There will be) a lot of great fear. | 
| 10: | ognena reka teče | A burning river flows (there). | 
| 11: | vospomeneste bratie što piše u stoe eѵlie | Remember, o brothers, what is written in the holy Gospels! | 
| 12: | molete se bgu neprestano | Pray to God without ceasing! | 
| 13: | vidite li brate kakvo aggelъ trъči ta zatvara vrata ot nasъ | Do you see o brothers, how the angel runs and closes the door before us, | 
| če sme mlogo grešni i ne sme se pokajali | for we are so sinful and we have not repented? | |
| 14: | a drugi aggelъ svešti gasi da ne vidime edinъ drugogo | |
| 15: | tamo ima strašenъ gromъ i tresakъ i mlъnie bledo | There is a terrible thunder and rumble, and shiny lightning, | 
| varekъ i pisakъ i plačъ i žalъba gorъka | crying and squealing and weeping and bitter grief. | |
| 16: | aggli bži begatъ ot nasъ če sme gnusni | Angels of God run from us, because we are disgusting. | 
| 17: | a silni dijavole vlačat ni u peštъ ognenuju da se mučime vo veki | And strong devils pull us into the burning furnace, so that we are tormented forever. | 
| 18: | i tova pomislete ako gi nasъ izvedutъ predъ bga na sudište | And also think how they will bring us in front of God to the Judgement Seat. | 
| 19: | koi tamo da stoi po srede da budetъ predъ narodъ ox koliko bi se molilъ da bi pogibnul ili zemlja da se razgrъne da upednešъ | Whoever will stand there to be in front of the people, o, how much would he pray to die or the ground to open, so that he falls there! | 
| 20: | kade da se skrieme ot takovi straxъ bžii | Where should we hide from such a terror of God? | 
| 21: | kakvo da otgovorime predъ tolъkova aggli bžii | What we will answer in front of so many angels of God? | 
| 22: | togiva ka šte da bude | How it will be? | 
| 23: | kaži mi | Tell me, | 
| kogi fanatъ da skrъčatъ sasъ zubi dijavole na nasъ | when the devils start to gnash their teeth on us, | |
| koi da ni izbavi ot nixъni te ruce | who will save us from their hands, | |
| i va kromešnuju tъmnicu štatъ da ni vrinutъ da se mučime do veka | and when they will throw us into the darkest dungeon to torment us forever? | |
| 24: | ox uvi koliko plače moe srdce ot straxa božia | O, alas, how much does my heart cry from the fear of God! | 
| 25: | i šteme da pištime kato črъvъ jadoviti i tuga ogneni reki pešti ne ugasimiia | And we will squeal (from?) the angry worm and grief, burning rivers, unextinguishing furnaces. | 
| 26: | o člveče ako imašъ nauka da činišъ grexъ | O man, if you have knowledge, (why) do you commit sin? | 
| 27: | a ti si pomisli | But think! | 
| 28: | i pomeni straxъ božii i muki večnię | And remember the fear of God and eternal torments! | 
| 29: | togiva i aggelъ bži prixodi pri tebe da te vrazumi da ne mislišъ da činišъ zlo | Then, even an angel of God will come to you, to convince you, not to do evil. | 
| 30: | i ot zlu mislъ izbavljaše | And he was freeing from bad thoughts. | 
| 31: | i koja ti e nevolja da se ne molišъ bgu | And what does make you unwilling to pray to God? | 
| 32: | i koja ti e nužba da se ne ostavišъ da ne rečešъ nikomu ništo za zlo | And what is your need, that you cannot let it go, not to say to somebody something about an evil (done to you)? | 
| 33: | i koja te spona sapinja da se ne ostavišъ da ne rъžišъ i zavidvašъ | And what is what impedes you from staying away from being jealous and envious? | 
| 34: | i koi trudъ imašъ da ne živuvašъ sasъ rodъ ili sasъ komšii tvoi | And what work do you have, that you cannot live with your kin or your neighbors? | 
| 35: | i koja ti e beda da dumašъ sramъni dumi ni da klevetišъ ni da dosadišъ nekomu | And what misfortune befalls you, that you speak shameful words, slander, and annoy anyone? | 
| 36: | što te sapinja da ne miluvašъ siromasi | What does impede you from being merciful to the poor? | 
| 37: | a kogi si gladenъ kakvo činišъ | And when you are hungry, what do you do? | 
| 38: | pomisli | Think! | 
| 39: | i kaži mi | And tell me! | 
| 40: | da vidimъ kakvo govorišъ | Let me see, what you say! | 
| 41: | o čedo kogi vidišъ siromaxa pomilui go | O child, when you see a poor man, show mercy to him. | 
| 42: | ako li imašъ srъdъba na nekogo primiri se | If you are angry on someone, make peace. | 
| 43: | ako vidišъ nekogo če se dobre xrani ne zavidi mu † | If you see someone feeding himself well, don't envy him. | 
| 44: | † i ako vidišъ ženu dobroličnu i xubavu zamini ju | And if you see a nice-faced and beautiful woman, pass her. | 
| 45: | ne xorotui sasъ nju da ti ne ogladnejut usta za nju | Do not speak with her, so that your mouth does not become hungry for her, | 
| 46: | i oči te ti zaslepevatъ po nju | and (that) your eyes will not become blind for her, | 
| 47: | no i pameto ti otvodi po nju | but also (that) your mind goes to her, | 
| 48: | i noze i ruce i svi žili i telo tvoe oslabeva po nju | and your legs and hands and all the veins and the body become weak for her. | 
| 49: | zašto se žena zove ognъ xorota ženъska | Because the woman (and?) words of a woman is called a fire. | 
| 50: | izъ usta ta i medъ kape kogi xorotuva | A honey dips from her mouth, when she speaks. | 
| 51: | a ti mužu begai | But you, o man, run! | 
| 52: | ne besedui sasъ ženu da te ne ustreli diavolъ sasъ strelu u srdce | Do not speak with the woman, so that the Devil does not hit you with an arrow to your heart. | 
| 53: | o člveci bžii ot tija strašni zapovedi koi se smisli da gi sotvori tъ [...] člvekъ šte da poluči dši svoei spnie | O, people of God, he who would think of fulfilling these terrible commands, will receive salvation for his soul. | 
| 55: | tova saverъši da speši se | Do this, to save yourself! | 
| 56: | ako se potkanime da se molime bgu priležno i bgъ šte ni prosti što sme bgu grešili | If we decide to duly pray to God, God will forgive us, what we had commited against God. | 
| 57: | ako li rečeme da tova kakvo e težekъ grexъ gdъ šte ni oprosti | If we say, how grave is that sin, the Lord will forgive us. | 
| 58: | ox teško tomuva člveku koi produma taja duma | O, (it is) hard for that man, who says that word. | 
| 59: | ni ocъ na sina ne može pretrъpe takiva reči | Not even a father can suffer such words from the son. | 
| 60: | a kamo li xrtosъ bgъ našъ da pretrъpi namъ | And then where would Christ the God suffer ours? | 
| 61: | nekoi čorъbaџia kogi ima lenivъ pristavinъ i dremlivъ toi ne može da mu pretrъpi mrъza ta | When a merchant has a lazy and sleepy servant, he cannot stand his sloth. | 
| 62: | takoi i bgъ nasъ ne šte da trъpi da sme živi do veka | Thus also God will not suffer us to live forever. | 
| 63: | no nija da se potrudime sami | But now, let us work a bit on ourselves! | 
| 64: | i da se proslъzime sasъ plačъ i sasъ pokajanie i poklonenie | And may we shed tears with crying, and with repentance, and respect. | 
| 65: | i malъko oskrъbime na toja stъ | And (may) we make this world a bit harder. | 
| 66: | i na on stъ da budeme radostni do veka | And in the other world, may we will be happy forever. | 
| 67: | bgu našemu slava i čtъ i poklonenie | Glory (be) to our God, and honor, and respect, | 
| ocu i snu i stomu dxu | to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit | |
