ʾi da poméneme bezkonéčnoju muku ʾi cr͒tvo nb͒noe [Title] and so that we remember the eternal torment and the Kingdom of Heaven
da ʾimame na pámetь kóè délo e po ugódno [Title] so that we have on mind, which is better

4: [♣] Vozljubléni móĭ brátïe poslušaite zápovedь st̃ágo ïwana zlátoustago kakvò násь dneska učì Hear, o my beloved Christians, the commandement of St. John Chrysostomus, which he teaches us today.

6: kóĭ čl̃vekь stóri nékoĭ gréxь One, who does a sin,
i pomísli na svóĭ pámetь da sè ne ʾwstavi wt źlь pómišlь and who thinks on his mind not to leave his bad intention,
to na sébe mlógo grexь vozlagátь he puts a lot of sin on himself.
7: ʾi na sébe sudь prinósitь And he brings the Judgement on himself.
8: ʾja pomisléte ʾw bratïe móĭ kakvà dúma da podumame da sè ʾwprávime na ʾwnova stráš[no]e súdište ʾi gróznoe mesto ʾispitanïe Think, o my brothers, what word will you say to defend ourselves on that terrible Judgement Day and the awesome place of Trial!
9: mnógo stráxь golémь (There will be) a lot of great fear.
10: ʾógnéna rekà tečè A burning river flows (there).
11: vospomenéste brátïe što píše u st̃oe ʾeѵ͒líe Remember, o brothers, what is written in the holy Gospels!
12: moléte se bg̃u néprestáno Pray to God without ceasing!
13: vídité li bráte kakvò ʾág̃gelь trьčì ta zatvára vráta wt násь Do you see o brothers, how the angel runs and closes the door before us,
če sme mlógo gréšni ʾi ne smé se pokájali for we are so sinful and we have not repented?
14: ʾá drúgi ʾág̃gelь svéšti gási da ne vídíme edínь drúgogo
15: tamo ʾima strášenь grómь ʾi trésakь ʾi mlьnïe bledò There is a terrible thunder and rumble, and shiny lightning,
várekь ʾi písakь ʾi pláčь ʾi žal͛ba gor͛ka crying and squealing and weeping and bitter grief.
16: ʾág̃gli bž̃i bégatь wt násь če smè gnúsni Angels of God run from us, because we are disgusting.
17: ʾá sílni díʾjavole vláčat ni u péštь ʾógnénuju da sè mučime vo véki And strong devils pull us into the burning furnace, so that we are tormented forever.
18: ʾi tovà pomisléte ʾáko gì násь ʾizvedútь prédь bg̃a na súdište And also think how they will bring us in front of God to the Judgement Seat.
19: kóĭ tamo da stóĭ po sréde da búdetь prédь narodь wx kolíko bí se molílь da bi pogíbnul ʾili zemljà da se razgrь´ne da upédnešь Whoever will stand there to be in front of the people, o, how much would he pray to die or the ground to open, so that he falls there!
20: kade da sè skríeme wt takóvi stráxь bž̃ıi Where should we hide from such a terror of God?
21: kakvò da wtgovórime predь tol͛kova ʾág̃gli bž̃ïĭ What we will answer in front of so many angels of God?
22: togíva ka šte da búde How it will be?
23: kaží mi Tell me,
kogì fánatь da skrь´čatь sásь zubi díʾjávole na násь when the devils start to gnash their teeth on us,
kóĭ da nì ʾizbávi wt níx͛ni te rúce who will save us from their hands,
ʾi va kroméšnuju tьmnícu štatь da nì vrínutь da sè mučíme do véka and when they will throw us into the darkest dungeon to torment us forever?
24: wx ʾuvì kolíko pláče moè srdce wt stráxa bóžïa O, alas, how much does my heart cry from the fear of God!
25: ʾi štéme da pištíme kato črь´vь jadovíti ʾi tuga ognéni rekì péšti ne ugasïmïià And we will squeal (from?) the angry worm and grief, burning rivers, unextinguishing furnaces.
26: w͒ čl͂véče ʾáko ʾimášь nauka da čínišь; gréxь O man, if you have knowledge, (why) do you commit sin?
27: ʾá tí si pomislì But think!
28: ʾi pomenì stráxь bóž̃ïĭ ʾi múki véčnïę And remember the fear of God and eternal torments!
29: ʾtogíva ʾi ag̃gelь bž̃i prixódi pri tebè da te vrazúmi da ne míslišь da čínišь zlò Then, even an angel of God will come to you, to convince you, not to do evil.
30: ʾi wt zlu míslь ʾizbávljaše And he was freeing from bad thoughts.
31: ʾi koja tï e nevólja da sè ne mólišь bg̃u And what does make you unwilling to pray to God?
32: ʾi koʾja tï e núžba da sè ne wstávišь da ne rečéšь níkomu níšto za zlò And what is your need, that you cannot let it go, not to say to somebody something about an evil (done to you)?
33: ʾi kojá te spóna sapínja da se ne ʾwstávišь da nè rьžíšь ʾi zavídvašь And what is what impedes you from staying away from being jealous and envious?
34: ʾi kóĭ trudь ʾimašь da ne živúvašь sásь ródь ʾili sasь komšïi tvóĭ And what work do you have, that you cannot live with your kin or your neighbors?
35: ʾi koʾjá tï e bedà da dúmašь srám͛ni dumi ni dá klevétišь ni da dosádišь nékomu And what misfortune befalls you, that you speak shameful words, slander, and annoy anyone?
36: što tè sapínja da nè milúvašь síromási What does impede you from being merciful to the poor?
37: ʾá kogí si gládenь kakvò čínišь: And when you are hungry, what do you do?
38: pomislì Think!
39: ʾi kaží mi And tell me!
40: da vídimь kakvo govorišь Let me see, what you say!
41: ʾw čédo kogì vídišь siromáxa pomílui go O child, when you see a poor man, show mercy to him.
42: ʾáko li ʾimašь srьd͛bà na nékogo primirí se If you are angry on someone, make peace.
43: ʾáko vídišь nékogo če sè dobre xráni ne zavidí mu † If you see someone feeding himself well, don't envy him.
44: † i áko vídišь ženù dobrolíčnu ʾi xúbavu záminï ju And if you see a nice-faced and beautiful woman, pass her.
45: né xorotúĭ; sásь njù da tì né wgladnéjut ʾustà za njù Do not speak with her, so that your mouth does not become hungry for her,
46: ʾi ʾóčí te ti zaslepévatь po njù and (that) your eyes will not become blind for her,
47: no ʾi pámeto ti ʾwtvódi po njù but also (that) your mind goes to her,
48: ʾi nóze ʾi ruce i svì žíli ʾi telò tvoè ʾwslabéva po nju and your legs and hands and all the veins and the body become weak for her.
49: zaštó se: ženà zovè ʾógnь xorotà žen͛ska Because the woman (and?) words of a woman is called a fire.
50: ʾizь ʾusta ta ĭ médь kápe kogì xorotúva A honey dips from her mouth, when she speaks.
51: ʾa tì mužu bégaĭ But you, o man, run!
52: ne béseduĭ sásь ženù da té ne ustréli díʾavolь sásь strelù ʾu srdce Do not speak with the woman, so that the Devil does not hit you with an arrow to your heart.
53: ʾW čl͂veci bž̃ïi wt tíja strášni zápovedi kói se smisli da gi sotvóri tь [...] čl̃vekь šte da polúči dš̃i svoéĭ sp͒nïe O, people of God, he who would think of fulfilling these terrible commands, will receive salvation for his soul.
55: tova saver͛ši da sp͒eši se Do this, to save yourself!
56: ʾAko se potkánime da se mólime bg̃u priléžno ʾi bg̃ь šte nì prosti što smè bg̃u grešíli If we decide to duly pray to God, God will forgive us, what we had commited against God.
57: ʾáko lì rečeme da tova kakvó e téžekь gréxь gd͒ь šte nï ʾwprósti If we say, how grave is that sin, the Lord will forgive us.
58: wx téško tomúva čl̃veku kói produma taʾjá dúma O, (it is) hard for that man, who says that word.
59: nì ʾoc͂ь na sína ne móže pretrь´pe takíva reči Not even a father can suffer such words from the son.
60: ʾá kamo li xr͒tósь bg̃ь nášь da pretrьpì námь And then where would Christ the God suffer ours?
61: nékoĭ čor͛baџía kogì ʾima lenívь pristávinь ʾi dremlívь tóĭ ne móže dá mu pretrьpì mrьzá ta When a merchant has a lazy and sleepy servant, he cannot stand his sloth.
62: takóĭ ʾi bg̃ь nasь ne štè da trьpì da smè žívi do véka: Thus also God will not suffer us to live forever.
63: no níja da sè potrúdime sámi But now, let us work a bit on ourselves!
64: ʾi da sè proslь´zime sásь pláčь ʾi sásь pokajanïe ʾi poklonénïe And may we shed tears with crying, and with repentance, and respect.
65: ʾi mal͛ko oskrьbíme na tóʾja st̃ь And (may) we make this world a bit harder.
66: ʾi na ʾw´n[...] st̃ь da búdeme rádostnì dó veka, And in the other world, may we will be happy forever.
67: Bg̃u našemu sláva ʾi čt̃ь ʾi poklonénïe Glory (be) to our God, and honor, and respect,
ʾóc͂u ʾi sñu ʾi st̃omu dx͂u to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
níně ʾi prísno ʾi vo véki vekov now and ever, and forever!
