| 99: | ʾi uze slugà paníci te ʾi bljúdo to | And the servant took the pans and the plate. |
| 100: | ʾi wtidè ná kraĭ more da gì míe | And he went to the sea shore to wash them. |
| 101: | ʾi katò míeše bljúdo to st̃ómu ʾi nešto napáde na slugù | And as he washed the plate of the saint, something fell on the servant. |
| 102: | ʾi poče da dréme | And he began to doze. |
| 103: | ʾi edínь múžь ʾwčívesno ʾiz moré to ʾwt͛vnu iz ruku slugì bljudo to srébreno | And suddenly, a man from the sea took the silver plate from the servant. |
| 104: | ʾi ʾōtidè | And he went away. |
| 105: | togízi ʾwnaja sluga počè da trepére | Then the servant began to tremble. |
| 106: | ʾuplaši se zlè wt gdra svoégo | He became afraid of his lord. |
| 107: | ʾi púšti se po bljudo to u moré tw | And he let himself into the sea for (the pursuit of) the plate. |

| 112: | ʾi ne dádoxь bljúdo srébeno st̃omu mine | ʺAnd I did not give the silver plate to St. Menas.ʺ |
| 113: | ʾi pogubixь rába moégo. | ʺAnd I lost my servant.ʺ |

| 148: | i edínь bezúmenь čl̃vekь stígnu ʾónuju žénu | And one mad man caught up with that woman. |
| 149: | ʾi sakaše dá jù nasilúva na pútь | And he wanted to rape her on the way. |
| 150: | ʾi fanu ju | And he caught her. |
| 151: | ʾi poče da ju govóri ne potrébno | And he began to speak to her unappropriately. |
| 152: | ʾá onája ženà st̃ago mínu na pómoštь prizova, | But the woman called to St. Menas for help. |
| 153: | ʾi dumaše | And she spoke: |

| 167: | ʾi ʾoči mu na mal͛ko ne ispadnáxu | And his eyes nearly fell out. |
| 168: | ʾi mnogo čl̃véci konjà pretíčaxu danó bi go ulovili | And many people pursued the horse to catch it, |
| da ʾizbávatь čl̃veka togo wt konjá togo da gò ne umóri | to free that man from the horse, so that it would not kill him. | |
| 169: | ʾi níkoĭ ne možè da go zápre dogdè ne otidè sam͛ sì kónja pri cr̃kvu st̃ago míni | And nobody could stop it, until the horse came to the church of St. Menas by himself. |
| 170: | ʾi čl̃veka tógo zavléče pri cr̃kva ta | And he dragged the man to the church. |

| 177: | ʾi pripade prí ʾikonu st̃mu mč̃niku míne | And he fell to the icon of the holy martyr Menas. |

| 202: | prílazi mlьkomь pri nému tu žénu | ʺGo silently to the mute woman.ʺ |
| 203: | ʾi fanï ju za nógu | ʺAnd seize her leg.ʺ |
| 204: | ta da ʾwzdrávešь | ʺThus you will be healed.ʺ |
| 205: | ʾá nému katò dosrámè ʾi ne može da pretrьpì | But as he felt shame, he could not suffer through. |
| 206: | no réče | But he said: |
| 207: | st̃če míno ti méne kur͛várina naríčašь | ʺO holy man Menas, do you have me for an adulterer?ʺ |

| 211: | ʾi kato mu réče st̃i mína tája duma ʾi wnь prílazi mlь´komь | And as St. Menas told that word to him, he crawled in silently. |
| 212: | ʾi fanu némuju ženù zá nogu | And he caught the mute woman by leg. |
| 213: | i wná se razbudi | And she woke up. |
| 214: | ʾi protegnu se | And she stretched. |
| 215: | ʾi wtvrьzlju se ʾjázíkь | And her tongue was untied. |
| 216: | i fanu da ѱuva ʾwnogóva xromcà | And she began to curse the lamer. |
| 217: | ʾi xromecь se ʾupláši | And the lamer became afraid. |
| 218: | ʾi wt stráxь skoči | And from fear he jumped up. |
| 219: | ta pobéže | And he ran. |
| 220: | ʾi nozé te mu ʾozdravéxu kakvoto sï e bílь zdrávь ʾi na predь | And his legs were healed, as he was healthy earlier. |
| 221: | ʾá žená ta sasь jazíkь ʾjásnò produma katò béše néma | And the woman spoke clearly with her tongue, (although) she was mute. |

| 224: | ʾi mnógo naródь se počudi zʾá tïja dvà čl͂veka kakvò ʾisceléxu | And many people wondered about those two, how they were healed. |
| 225: | ʾi proslavíxu bg̃a ʾi st̃ago mč̃nika mínu; | And they praised God and the holy martyr Menas. |
| 226: | ♣ w͒ bl͂goslovéni xr͒tiʾáni poslúšaite w͒šte málko da pokažemь vamь ʾi dru-ga čudesa preslávna za ugodnika xr͒tóva mč̃níka mínu | O blessed Christians, hear a bit more, so that I show you other glorious miracles of martyr Menas, the follower of Christ, too. |
| 227: | ʾimáše nekoĭ zamánь ʾedínь ʾevréinь | There was once a Jew. |
| 228: | ta ímaše ljubóvь sasь ʾednógo; xr͒tiánïna | And he had a friendship with one Christian. |
| 229: | ta gò čt͒o goštévaše ʾi poeše | And so he often fed him and gave drinks to him. |
| 230: | ʾi ʾjáko go ʾwbíčeše | And he loved him very much. |
| 231: | ʾi poĭde ʾónja xr͒tiáninь na drugu zémlju da pečáli | And the Christian went to another country to make money. |
| 232: | ʾi reče xr͒tiáninь ʾevré[...] | And the Christian said to (?) the Jew: |
| 233: | podáĭ mi nekolíko žlьtíci | ʺGive me some money.ʺ |
| 234: | če štémь da ʾidemь na dalékь da pečálimь | ʺBecause I go far to make profit.ʺ |
| 235: | pa kogi si dóĭdem ʾá štem͛ ti gi vrьnù | ʺSo, when I return, I will give them back to you.ʺ |
| 236: | ʾi evrein͛ mu dáde zlátnica mlógo | And the Jew gave him a lot of gold. |
| 237: | ʾi pósle mu dáde ʾedinь kov͛čéžecь sásь trì xíljadi žlьtíci | And then he gave him a small coffin with three thousand golden coins. |
| 238: | ʾi wtidè | And he went away. |
| 239: | ʾi mnógo vréme séde xr͒tianïnь támo gdetò béše ʾwtiš͛lь | And the Christian was there, where he went, for a long time. |
| 240: | ʾi pomísli na srdce svoè da sè wtrečè kakvo ne è ʾuzélь źláto wt ʾevréĭna | And he thought in his heart to deny that he took the gold from the Jew. |
| 241: | ʾi mínu nekol͛ko vréme | And some time passed. |
| 242: | ʾi doĭdè xr͒tíănïnь | And the Christian returned. |
| 243: | ʾi evreĭno ʾwtidè | And the Jew went out. |
| 244: | ʾi posaká si žlьtíci te što è dálь na zaemь xr͒tiăninu | And he wanted back his gold coin, which he borrowed to the Christian. |
| 245: | ʾi xr͒tianïnь réče | And the Christian said: |
| 246: | ʾjá tovà ne znáemь | ʺI don't know (about) that.ʺ |
| 247: | što tì sákašь wt méne | ʺWhat do you want from me?ʺ |
| 248: | ʾjá tovà, né smь ni čulь ni vidélь | ʺI have neither heard (about) it, nor seen it.ʺ |
| 249: | ʾá evréinь stanu; gríženь | But the Jew became worried. |
| 250: | ʾi ʾwstavi se | And he let it go. |
| 251: | nekol͛ko dni ne dumà: níšto | For a few days, he said nothing. |
| 252: | ʾi páki ʾwtidè ʾevréinь | And then the Jew went again. |
| 253: | ʾi réče xr͒tiʾaninu | And he said to the Christian: |
| 254: | bráte tovà źláto kogì ʾja tébe: dádoxь níkoĭ ne vidè | ʺO brother, nobody has seen the gold, when I gave it to you.ʺ |
| 255: | tь´kmo klétva šte da ʾwprávi štotò sákamь wt tébe | ʺOnly an oath can make up for what I want from you.ʺ |
| 256: | nelo da ĭdeme u cr͂kvu st̃ago † míni | ʺSo, let us go to the church of St. Menas.ʺ |
| 257: | ʾi ʾwtidóx | And they (?) went. |
| 258: | ʾi složíxu se ʾi dvóĭca ta prédь ʾikonu st̃ago | And the both put themselves in front of the icon of the saint. |
| 259: | ʾi zakléxu se | And they took the oath. |
| 260: | ʾevréinь réče | The Jew said: |
| 261: | ʾjá tebe dádoxь zlato na záemь kóvčažécь plь´nь sásь tri xíljadi žlьtíci | ʺI have given you gold as a loan, a small coffin with three thousand gold coins.ʺ |
| 262: | ʾá xr͒tiănïnь káže | And the Christian said: |
| 263: | ja ne smь ʾuzélь wt tébe níkakvi žlьtíci | ʺI did not take from you no gold coins.ʺ |
| 264: | zakléxa se | They sweared, |
| 265: | ʾi izlézoxu ʾizь cr͂kvu | and they went out of the church. |
| 266: | ʾi vásednáxu na svóĭ kónì | And they mounted their horses. |
| 267: | ʾi poidóša si | And they went away. |
| 268: | ʾá xr͒tianïnov kónь katò bésenь skáčaše | But the Christian's horse was jumping like mad. |
| 269: | ʾi úzdu xápeše gorgo | And it was biting its reins bitterly. |
| 270: | ʾi gd͒inu svóemu samrьtь pokázvaše | And it was showing death to its master. |
| 271: | ʾi frь´li go ná zemlju | And it threw him on the ground. |
| 272: | ʾi ne víde kakvo štéše da go rasípe kónь ná zemljù; | And he did not see, how the horse was going to break him on the ground. |
| 273: | ʾi kato gò frь´li kónja ná zemi ʾispade mu iz pazuxa prь´stenь ʾi ključь ʾi késia sásь edna lítra źláto | And as the horse threw him to the ground, a ring, and a key, and a purse with a pound of gold fell from his bosom. |
| 274: | ʾi paki vasédoša na kóni svoi | And they mounted their horses again. |
| 275: | ʾidexu po pútь sʾásь ʾevréina | They went on the way with the Jew. |
| 276: | ʾá xr͒tianïno ʾjá-dúva | And the Christian was angry. |
| 277: | sténja ʾizь dlьbóko | He moaned deeply. |
| 278: | ʾi boléše go kato go béše ubilь kónja | And he was hurting, as the horse had beaten him. |
| 279: | ʾi ʾwbrьnú se xr͒tiăninь, | And the Christian turned. |
| 280: | ʾi réče | And he said: |
| 281: | drúže ʾetè tovà mésto ʾjáko ʾugódnw: | ʺComrade, see, this place is very nice!ʺ |
| 282: | da sasédneme da edéme xlébь | ʺLet us dismount and eat a bit of bread.ʺ |
| 283: | ʾi sasednáxu | And they dismounted. |
| 284: | ʾi puštíxu kóni | And they set the horses free. |
| 285: | ʾi fanáxu da ʾedutь xlébь | And they began to eat the bread. |
| 286: | ʾi po malko néšto vidè xr͒tiănïnь pristávina [sí] svóʿego | And after some time the Christian saw his servant, |
| [če sas po putь w doma sa] [sego prati gos͒drca ključь] | that his wife sent him on the way with a key (?), | |
| če stóĭ ʾi drьži ʾu ednà rúka ʾevreinovь kóvьčégь | that he stays, holding the Jew's small coffin in one hand, | |
| ʾá u drugu ruku drьžì prь´stenь ʾi kljúčь | and that in the other hand he holds a ring and a key, | |
| što béše ʾispádlo ʾizь pázuxu xr͒tiʾáninu | which fell out from the Christian's bosom, | |
| kogí go frь´li kónja ná zemi | when the horse threw him to the ground. | |
| 287: | vidè tovà xr͒tiʾa-ninь | The Christian saw it. |
| 288: | i ʾuplaši se | And he became afraid. |
| 289: | ʾi réče prístávinu | And he said to the servant: |
| 290: | što è tovà | ʺWhat is this?ʺ |
| 291: | ʾá pristávinь [sï] réče | And the servant said: |
| 292: | ʾw gd͒ne móĭ strášenь ʾedin múžь na konjà dóĭde prí gd͒ar͛ku moju | ʺO my lord, one terrible man on a horse came to my mistress.ʺ |
| 293: | ʾi da-de ĭ kljúčь ʾi prь´stenь | ʺAnd he gave her a key and a ring.ʺ |
| 294: | ʾi réče i | ʺAnd he said to her:ʺ |
| 295: | skóro zápratì ʾevréinu kov͛čegь da nè upádne ʾu bedù mužь: tvóĭ | ʺSend the coffin to the Jew soon, so that your husband does not fall into misery!ʺ |
| 296: | ʾi méne tovà dáde gd͒rka mójà da dónesémь tébe | ʺAnd my mistress gave this to me, so that I bring it to you.ʺ |
| 297: | ʾEvréĭnь vidè tovà | The Jew saw it. |
| 298: | ʾudívi se | He wondered. |
| 299: | ʾi réče | And he said: |
| 300: | fála bg̃u | ʺPraise (be) to God!ʺ |
| 301: | kakva bi tája čudesà | ʺWhat a miracle was that!ʺ |
| 302: | ʾi zarádva se | And he was joyful. |
| 303: | ʾi vrьnáxu se sásь xr͒tiănina u cr͂kvu st̃ómu míne | And they returned to the church of St. Menas with the Christian. |
| 304: | ʾi pokloní se ʾevréinь do zemli | And the Jew bowed to the ground. |
| 305: | ʾi sákaše da sè pokr͒ti na véru xrístian͛sku po takóvago rádi čudesà | And he wanted to get baptized by the Christian faith because of such a miracle. |
| 306: | zašto ʾi sámь víde ʾevréino kakvà véra ʾimatь; xr͒tiʿani xubava | Because the Jew himself saw what good faith the Christians have, |
| ʾi st̃ci xr͒tián͛ski tvorat čudesa | and that the Christian saints do miracles. | |
| 307: | ʾi evreíno se pokr͒tì vó ĭme dx͂a st̃ago | And the Jew got baptized in the name of Holy Spirit. |
| 308: | xr͒tianinь moleše se st̃omu da mu ʾwprósti što se e zaklelь ʾi što béxu bg̃u ʾedínomu sogre-šilí | The Christian prayed to the saint for forgiveness for his oath and that they (sic) sinned against the One God. |
| 309: | ʾi sasь pómoštь st̃omu mine príʾjaxu prošténïe | And with the help of St. Menas they (sic) received forgiveness. |
| 310: | ʾi ʾwtidóxu si va svóĭ domь | And they went home. |
| 311: | ʾi slávexu bg̃a ʾi st̃ago mč̃nika xr͒tóva mínu | And they glorified God and Menas, the holy martyr of Christ. |
| 312: | Tómu že sláva, ʾi čt͒ь, ʾi poklonenïe | To him (be) glory, and honor and respect, |
| ʾóc͂u, ʾi sñu ʾi st̃ómu, dx̃u, | to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, | |
| nýně`, ʾi prísno, ʾi vo véki vékov, | now and ever, and forever. | |
