10: a edinъ prosekъ siromaxъ priide da saka ot nego mltinju za bga And one beggar came to him to beg alms for the God's sake
11: a onja xrtoljubivi kupecъ reče prosjaku And that Christ-loving seller said to the beggar:
12: nali me vidišъ brate če smъ pošelъ na putъ ʺO brother, do you see, that I have gone to a journeyʺ
13: i tovar moi puštixъ ʺAnd I sent my wares (before me)ʺ
14: otide napredъ ʺIt went before meʺ
15: i ne mamъ u ruke ništo da ti dademъ ʺAnd I have nothing in my hands to give youʺ
16: no moli se bgu za mene da sъmъ živъ ʺBut pray to God for me, so that I remain aliveʺ
17: ta kogi se vrъnemъ ja štemъ ti da za bga koliko sakašъ ʺAnd when I return, I will give you for God as much as you wantʺ
18: a proseko reče na kupca togo And the beggar said to the merchant:
19: kade štemъ veče ja tebe da vidim da mi dadešъ mltinja za bga ʺWhere will I see you, so that you give me alms for God?ʺ
20: a kupecъ reče And the merchant said:
21: ti brate mene čekai paki va tia dni ʺYou, o brother, wait for me these days againʺ

23: i ti ako me ne naidešъ ela ʺAnd if you will not meet me, come,ʺ
da ti pokažemъ kade štemъ da ti ostavimъ što me bgъ nauči ʺmay I show you, where I'll leave what God taught (?) meʺ

34: i podignu ju And he lifted it
35: i naide podъ dsku tu sokrovište zlato ot odavna skrito And undear the slab he found a golden treasure hidden a long time ago
36: i doide noštemъ And he came there at night

62: i onja bogati člvekъ prifanu togova ranenago proseka And that rich man took that wounded beggar
63: i misleše da go drъži na svoi domъ da go čuva i da go xrani And he thought to hold him in the house to care for him and feed him
64: i popita go And he asked him:
65: ti ot kude idešъ straniče ʺWhere are you from, o stranger?ʺ
66: i kakvi su tia rani na tebe ʺAnd what are those wounds on you?ʺ

73: azъ esmъ brate ʺIt is me, o brotherʺ
74: togiva reče bogatija člvekъ Then the rich man said:
75: o mltivi ugodniče moi brate tova ti što vidišъ u dvorъ moi xubosъ ʺO merciful helper, my brother, what you see in my court, my beauty,ʺ
sve zaradi tebe daruva mene bgъ što naidoxъ imane podъ onuju dъsku ʺeverything was gifted by God to me because of you, as I found a treasure under that slabʺ
76: a siromaxъ kupecъ i toi razume And the poor merchant understood
77: i reče And he said:
78: o bgati člveče i brate moi i ʺO you rich man and my brother,ʺ
i mene diavolъ turi taja źla i ljuta bolestъ zaradi tebe ʺand the Devil put this evil and fierce illness on me because of youʺ
79: togiva se sažale na bogatija člvekъ Then the rich man became sorry
80: i reče And he said:
81: o člveče bžii ako bude napadla taja bolestъ na tebe zaradi mene a ti se ne boi ʺO you man of God, if the illness fell on you because of me, have no fearʺ
82: dobъrъ e gdъ ʺThe Lord is goodʺ
83: i ne štešъ da izleznešъ paki ot domъ moi bolenъ ʺYou will not leave my house illʺ
84: i ot trъpezu moju ne šteš da ostanešъ gladenъ ʺAnd you will not remain hungry at (ʺfromʺ) my tableʺ
85: i počita štem te dogde si živъ ʺAnd I will honor you as long as you liveʺ
86: i priemna go u domъ svoi And he took him into his house
87: i dade mu keliju i xubavu postilkju da sedi And he gave him a room, and a nice bed to sit
88: i dade mu sluga da mu sluguva And he gave him a servant to serve him

93: i reče And he said:
94: vidite li taja źla bolesъ i tia zli rani ʺDo you see this bad illness and those bad wounds?ʺ
95: ne može nikoi da gi ozdravi niti da gi isceli ʺNothing can make them healthy or heal themʺ
96: toko ako ima nekoi dete prъvenecъ da go zakolete ʺOnly if someone would have a first-born baby, may you kill itʺ
97: i sasъ taja krъvъ da namažete togova člveka ot glavu do nogi ʺAnd then smear that blood on that man from head to toeʺ

da si zakole dete to ta da ozdravi togova bolnago človeka so that he would kill the child and heal that ill man
104: i doide denъ i časъ And the day and hour came
105: ta otide žena ta mu na banju da si omie snagu i glavu And his wife went to a bath, to wash her body and head
106: i okupa si dete to And she washed her baby
107: i podoi go And she fed it
108: i turi go u lulъkja da spi dogde doide ona ot banja ta And she put it into a crib to sleep, until she returns from the bath
109: i otide na banju And she went to the bath
110: a bašta na dete to stanu But her father stood up upon the child
111: i vleze u xižu And he went into the house
112: i naide detenъce to si svoe tureno u lulъku prekrito i zaspalo kato jagne And he found his child placed in the crib, covered and sleeping like a lamb
113: a onъ bi tolъko ne mltivъ And he was so merciless
114: i uze go bez milosti And he took him without mercy
115: i ne požali za svoe milo detenъce mladenъče And he did not spare his nice little baby
116: i zakla go And he slaughtered it

125: i kakvo mu pomaza telo to i toja časъ ozdrave And as he smeared his body, he became healthy at the moment,
kakvoto si e bilъ zdravъ i prъvinъ as he was healthy before
126: tova čudo sotvori bgъ da veruvame po istinu That miracle was done by God for us to believe
127: zašto gdъ bgъ mnogo milova tija mltivi člveci deto davatъ siromaxu za bga Because Lord God loves the merciful ones, who give to poor (alms) for the God's sake
128: vidite li xrtijani koliko ljubovъ imaše toja člvkъ za bga Do you see, o Christians, how much love did have that man for God?
129: ta i dete svoe zakla zaradi milostъ bžiju He even killed his own child for God's mercy!
130: i doide ot banju maika na dete to And the mother came back from the bath to the child
131: i vleze u xižu And she entered the house
132: i priide da si zeme dete to da si go podoi And she went to take the child to feed it
133: i otkri na dete lice to And she uncovered the face of the child
134: i ono fanu da plače kato sveko dete And it began to cry like every baby
135: i ču bašta na dete to glasъ če plače And the father heard the voice of the child, that it cries
136: a onъ skoro dotrъča da vidi kakvo bi tova čudo And he quickly ran there, to see the miracle
137: i vide svoe dete paki oživelo And he saw the child, having become alive again
138: i reče And he said:
139: xvala bgu ʺPraise (be) to God!ʺ
140: ja tova moe dete zaklaxъ za iscelenie tomuva člveku ʺI slaughtered this child of mine to heal that manʺ
141: a bgъ našь issъ xrtosъ stori čudesa ʺBut our God Jesus Christ made miracles!ʺ
142: ta go oživi zaradi nasъ i za vera da veruvame i da proslavime bga ʺAnd he revived it because of us for the sake of faith to believe and to praise Godʺ
143: vidite li xrtiani kakvo čini bgъ znamenie i čudesa Do you see, o Christians, what signs and miracles does God make?
144: bolnago ozdravi He heals the ill
145: a merъtvago oživi And He revives the dead
146: tomu že slava i čtъ i poklonenie To Him (be) the glory and honor and respect,
ocu i snu i stomu dxu to Father and Son and the Holy Spirit,
