23: | i nemu beše ime nestorъ | And his name was Nestor |
24: | i ono kato ču taja fala a nemu se razigra srdce to | And having heard that praise, his heart began to dance |
25: | i otide u temnicu pri stago dimitriju | And he want to the dungeons, to St. Demetrius |
26: | ta mu se pomoli | And he prayed him |

34: | i reče maѯimianъ | And Maximian said: |
35: | maxni se nestore | ʺGo away, o Nestorʺ |
36: | šte da ti stroši kosti moi borecъ lia | My champion Lyaeus will crush your bones |
37: | i nestorъ potaino se bgu i dimitriju moleše | And Nestor secretly prayed to God and Demetrius |
38: | i sapletoxu se dvoica ta sasъ liju | And the two seized each other (ʺwith Lyaeusʺ) |
39: | i nestorъ zavrъte liju | And Nestor turned Lyaeus |
40: | i oudari go na zemlju | And he striked (with) him on the ground |

42: | i čeljusti i zubi mu i oči ispadnuxa | And his jaws and teeth and eyes fell out |
43: | togiva vide crъ maѯimianъ če zle ubi nestorъ liju | Then Emperor Maximian saw, that Nestor had beaten Lyaeus badly |
44: | i jako se osъkrъbi da ne bi umrelъ samoborecъ lia | And the Emperor became very concerned, so that his gladiator Lyaeus would not die |
45: | i pomisli crъ | And the emperor thought |
46: | i reče | and he said: |
47: | tova momъče nikogi ne bi preborilo liju | ʺThat boy would never have defeated Lyaeusʺ |
48: | no razumexъ če mu e dalъ dimitria blgoslovenie | ʺBut I understood, that Demetrius gave him a blessingʺ |
49: | ta sa negova sila posramenъ ostaxъ ja predъ knezove moi | ʺAnd thus I remained ashamed in front of my princesʺ |
50: | i po tova skoro zaprati voine u temenicu deto beše vrъzanъ stъ dimitria | And afterwards he soon sent soldiers into the dungeon, where St. Demetrius was tied |
51: | i na tova mesto zbodoša rebra ta mu sasъ kopie | And on site they pierced his ribs with a spear |
52: | i prestavi se sti dimitria | And St. Demetrius presented himself (died) |
53: | i tako ostvi dšu svoju | And thus he gave his soul |
54: | i mnogo iscelenie i čudesa preslavnaja po samrъti čineše sti dimitria | And St. Demetrius did many healings and glorious miracles after his death |

58: | ta paleše svešti na sveštnici te | And he lit candles for the priests |
59: | i sve go podigaše diavolъ da čini źlo | And he was constantly driven by the Devil to do evil |
60: | svešti i lamъbadi isъ crkvu kradneše | He was stealing candles and lamps from the church |
61: | ta gi prodavaše | And then he was selling them |
62: | i mnogo puti tova źlo čineše | And he was doing this evil for many times |
63: | a sti dimitria ne može da utrъpi zloumъnomu i pagubnomu emu nesmisleniju | But St. Demetrius could not suffer this evil-minded and self-destroying mindlessness |

83: | a drugi člvekъ blgočestivъ stanulъ edno jutro rano | And another pious man got up early one morning |
84: | i zanelъ svešti golemi u crъkvu stomu dimitriju | And he brought big candles to the church of St. Demetrius |
85: | i zapali gi | And he lighted them |
86: | i pokloni | And he bowed |
87: | i izleze nadvorъ | And he went out |
88: | a sti dimitria leži u kovčegъ zlatenъ | And St. Demetrius lays in a golden coffin |
89: | slušaite | Listen! |
90: | i smotrete | And see! |
91: | i dobre se razumeite brate koliko ne možeše sti dimitria da trъpi zlomisalъnago člveka | And do understand well, brother(s), how St. Demetrius could not suffer this evil-thinking man |
92: | onisiforъ pruži ruku da zeme sveštu | Onesiphorus stretched his hand to take the candle, |
što beše donel onja blgočestivъ člvekъ | which had been brought by that pious man | |
93: | a glasъ izide stomu dimitriju is kovčegъ | And a voice of St. Demetrius came out of the coffin |
94: | i reče | And it said: |
95: | onisifore paki li tova čudo činišъ | ʺO Onesiphorus, do you do this (ʺmiracleʺ) again? |
96: | ne uboja li se ot straxa bžia | ʺDid you not get scared by the fear of God?ʺ |
97: | i kato ču toja glasъ onisiforъ pade na zemlju ljuto i strašno | And as he heard the voice, Onesiphorus fell to the ground fiercely and terribly, |
kato ot gromъ strašni udarenъ | as if hit by a terrible thunder | |
98: | i doide pevecъ isъ crkvu stomu dimitriju | And a singer came from the church of St. Demetrius |
99: | i vdigna go ot deto beše na zemlju padnulъ | And he raised him from the ground, where he had fallen |
100: | i nakaza go sti dimitria | And St. Demetrius gave him a punishment |
101: | i posle samъ sebe ispoveda predъ svi ljudie za svoego ne smislenago derznovenija | And afterwards he confessed himself in front of all the people for his senseless daring |
102: | zašto sti dimitria ne uči toko nego samago | Because St. Demetrius did not teach only him only, |
no i drugi mnogo člveci da poznajutъ čudesa stomu | but also other people, to know the miracles of the saint | |

beše mcъ oktomvria vъ *kź* denъ | it was the Month of October, on the 26th day | |
104: | beše trusъ velikъ i strašen u kostanъdinovъ gradъ | There was a big and terrible earthquake in the Constantinople |
105: | i xiži te imъ popadaxu | And their houses were falling |
106: | i mnogo čeljadъ po xiži te poginaxu | And many people in the houses perished |
107: | i samomu crigradu steni te padoša | And the walls of Tsarigrad itself fell down |
108: | i crkvi mnogo popadaxu | And many temples fell down |
109: | i mntre mnogo rasipaša se | And many monasteries fell apart |
110: | zašto se dve godini zemlja ta truseše | Because the ground was shaking for two years |
111: | i mnogo člveci izmrexu | And many people died |
112: | i more to ot mesto svoe izide | And the sea flew out of its place |
113: | i mnogo člveci i dobitakъ i gadi potopi | And it drowned many people and cattle and vermin |
114: | togo radi takovi denъ stago velikomčnika dimitriju da praznuvame | That is why we celebrate such a day for the Great Martyr Demetrius |
115: | i da mu se poklanjame | And may us pay him respect, |
da ni izbavi ot vasakija bedi i napasti | so that he saves us from any woes and dangers, | |
i da polučime večnoe blgo | and so that we receive the eternal bliss | |
116: | i crъ maѯimianъ reče | And the Emperor Maximian said |
117: | i stago velikomčnika nestora mъčemъ posekoša | And they killed the Holy Great Martyr Nestor (too) |
118: | i toi bgu dxъ predade | And he gave his soul to God |
119: | i uspe sa miromъ | And he dormited with peace |
120: | bgu že našemu slava i čtъ i poklonenie beznačalnomu ocu | And be glory and honor and respect to our God, |
so edinorodnimъ tvoimъ snomъ | to the beginning-less Father, with Yours only born Son, | |
i vse stimъ i blgimъ i životvoreštim tvoimъ dxomъ | and with the Holy and good and life-giving Your Spirit | |
vsegda nině i prisno i vo veki vekovъ | Always and ever, and forever | |
