| 13: | ʾa po díavol͛sku vólju doĭdóxu tía prokléti slugi cr̃vi u tʾojá mn͒trь deto bexu dv͂ci te | But by the will of the Devil, the accursed servants of the Emperor came into the monastery, where the maidens lived |
| 14: | ʾi rekóxa na stáru ženù što ĭmь béše ʾigúmena | and they said to the old woman, who was their abbess: |
| 15: | ʾidi privedì devíci te tvóĭ da vídíme koʾjà e ugódna ʾi prilíčna | ʺGo and bring your maidens, so that we see if there is any nice and prettyʺ |

| 23: | ʾá diʿoklitíanь rázьra če e begála ríѱíma u drúgi grádь | But Diocletian understood, that Hripsime ran away to another city |

| 26: | ʾi sákašé da jù ʾwbležì na tovà mestò déto jù naĭde | and he wanted to rape her on the spot, where he found her. |

| 28: | ʾi sásь povelénïe bž̃ïe ne možè bésь da ʾwbležì riѱímu | and by the God's command he could not rape her |

| 30: | nelo réče ʾigúmeni díoklitiănь cr̃ь | Thus Emperor Diocletian said to the abbess: |
| 31: | ʾigumeno ʾidí svésti riѱímu da doĭde po méne da mì bude ženà | ʺYou, abbess, go and convince Hripsime to come to me as a wife!ʺ |
| 32: | prьvínь da jù gódimь ʾi darúvamь sásь mlogo zláto | ʺFirst I'll make a betrothal and give a lot of gold to herʺ |

| 41: | ʾá méne vodéte prì cr̃a vášego | ʺand bring me to your king.ʺ |
| 42: | ʾi tova kazaxa vóĭne te cr̃u | And the soldiers told it to the king |
| 43: | ʾá devíci te ʾostanúxa žívi | and the maidens remained alive. |
| 44: | ʾi zavédoxa prì cr̃a riѱimu | And they brought Hripsime to the Emperor |
| 45: | ʾi ʾoná go srámno ukori prédь mnógo sьborь | and she scolded him shamefully in front of a large assembly. |
| 46: | ʾá wnь se zle rasrьdi | But he became very angry |
| 47: | ta réče ʾjázíkь dá ju wtréže | and he commanded to cut off her tongue |
| 48: | ʾi rastegnúxa ju po zémlju | and they stretched her on the ground |
| 49: | ʾi nažežáxu želézo | and they heated iron |
| 50: | ʾi své ĭ, rébra ʾizgoríxu | and they burned her ribs |
| 51: | ʾi sásь krémene ʾwstrì telo to i razdrobíxu | and they crushed her body with stones |
| 52: | ʾi ʾwčí te ĭ ʾizbodoxa | and they plucked her eyes. |
| 53: | náĭ posle ĭ glavá ta ĭ wtsekóxu | Finally, they also cut off her head |
| 54: | ʾi teló to ĭ na parčéta rasьsekóxu | and they cut her body to pieces |
| 55: | ʾi rasьfrьgáxa go po poljánu | and they discarded it on a meadow. |

| 61: | ʾi tako ì sví te za xr͒ta proteglixu muka ʾi stradanïe wt ne vérьni prokléti prelь´stnici ʾi bg͂obórci ʾi čl͂vekoʾubiĭci .:. | And thus all of them went through martyrdom and suffering by the faithless, accursed, self-deceived God-haters and man-slayers. |
