8: ʾi wt mnógo róžba ta sè bexà prevíli drьvíja ta And the trees had bended because of too much fruit
9: ʾi wbìgrádi gì ʾónja čl͂vekь nà ʾwkole sásь plétь And that man hedged them round about
10: ʾi poĭde da sí ʾide na dómь svóĭ And he went on to go home
11: pa réče And he said:
12: fála bg̃u ʺThank God!ʺ
13: ʾjá kato štémь da sì ʾidemь dóma ʾá kogò da ʾwstávimь da mì čúva lozié to ʾi vóška tà ʺWhen I want to go home, who could I leave here to protect my vineyard and my fruit trees?ʺ
14: ʾi pómislì, da ʾwstávi nekogo wt svoi te slúgi And he thought of leaving one of his servants
15: pa nè štejà da ʾwstávi wt slugí te si níkogo But he did not want to leave any of his servants there
da mu ne ʾistrávatь róžba ta na lóze to ʾi na drь´vja ta so they do not eat the fruit from his vinyeyard and his trees
16: nélo ʾwstávi ednógo čl̃véka slépca ʾá drugogo xrómcà da sedútь na lóze to da čúvatь, So he left there a blind man and a lame man to sit at the vineyard and protect it
17: ʾi kato e edínь slépь ʾi da saka vóška da edè ʾá wnь ne vídi da si nábere And when one of them is blind, even if he wants to eat fruit, he cannot see in order to pluck some
18: ʾá drugíjà čl̃vekь pà xrómь And the other man is lame,

21: takà pomísli ʾónʾjá čl̃vek͛ da nè zéme nikóĭ wt negóva ta múka da tùri u ustà Thus the man thought, so that nobody won't take from (the fruit of) his labor (ʺtormentʺ?) to throw it to his mouth.
22: pa katò béše ʾwgrádilь lóze to, sásь plótь ʾónь béše ʾwstávilь vráta nà ednò mésto da se ulázi And as he had hedged the vineyard round about, he had left a door to enter through at one place
23: ta wstávi slepcà togó ʾi xromcá togo na vratá ta da čuvatь da ne ulézne nékoi da ukrádne néšto ʾiz loze to And so he left the blind man and the lame man at the door lest someone might enter and steal something from the vineyard
24: slépeco sásь ʾóči ne vídi The blind man does not see with the eyes
25: a sasь ʾuši čue but he hears with the ears
26: ʾá xroméco vídi And the lame man sees
27: ʾá sasь nóze ne móže da xódi ta sám si da zéme toʾjá plodь lózni da go nosì domá si but he cannot walk with the legs to take this vineyard fruit himself and take it home
28: tovà pomísli ʾi ʾwstávi gi na vrat ta He thought this and left them at the door
29: ʾi ōtidé si And he went home
30: ʾi posede nekolíko vréme domá si And he sat for some time at his home
31: ʾá slepéco réče And the blind man said:
32: ʾw xrómče što xúbava merízma tolko ʾide ʾizь vnutre vráta ta lózni ʺO lame man, what good smell is coming from behind the vineyard door!ʺ
33: ʾá xromécw réče slépcu And the lame man said to the blind man:
34: mlógo bl̃go ʾima na nášego gd͒na u lóze to ʺThere is a lot of goods in our master's vineyardʺ
35: zatova tólko xúbava merizma ʾide ʾizь nútre če ne móžešь ʾizrektì kolíko sládosь ʾima u tovà lózie ʺThat is why such a good smell is coming from inside that you cannot put into words how much sweetness is in this vineyardʺ
36: ama nï e uvérilь gd͒nь nasь dvóica tebè slepcà mene xrómca če ne móžeme ʾi dvóĭca da ʾōtídeme da si nabéreme da sè nasítime sasь táę slátka vóška ʺBut our master assured us two - you the blind man and me the lame man, that we both cannot go and pluck some and sate ourselves with this sweet fruitʺ
37: ʾi réče slepécь xróm͛cu, And the blind man said to the lame man:

39: w͒ xróm͛če zaštó mi ne sì kazálь ʾw davna če ĭma takáva dobrinja prí nasь ʺO lame man, why have you not told me long ago that there is such goodness near us?ʺ
40: da nè fadúvame, pri tólkova vóška ʺWhy should we not benefit from so much fruit?ʺ
41: ʾákw smь ʾjá slépь ʾa nóze ʾimamь da tè nósimь ʾi silénь smь ʺIf I am blind, I have legs to carry you and I am strongʺ
42: w͒ xrómče vozmì kóšь ʺO lame man, take a basketʺ
43: ʾi sednì ná pléšti móĭ ʺand sit on my shouldersʺ
44: ʾi ja da tè nósimь ʺand I will carry youʺ
45: ʾá ti mi pútь pokažì, ʺand you show me the wayʺ
46: da ʾideme ʺLet us goʺ

62: sve ukradoxa ʾi sasípaxu nʾa čórbaџía si And they stole and destroyed everything that was their master's
63: ʾi po nékolko dnì doĭde gd͒arь na lóze to Ad after a few days the master came to the vineyard
64: ʾi vidè če è svè ukrádnato, ʾi zanéseno And he saw that everything was stolen and taken away
65: ʾi réče And he said:
66: privedéte mi slepcà togo da gò pítamь ʺBring the blind man to me so I ask him!ʺ
67: ʾi réče mu And he said to him:
68: nalì te ʾwstavíxь da čúvašь moé to lózie ʺDid I not leave you here to protect my vineyard?ʺ
69: zaštó go ʾukradnu. ʺWhy did you steal it?ʺ
70: ʾi reče slepécь And the blind man said:
71: gd͒ine ti vídišь čé smь ʾázь, slépь ʺMaster, you see that I am blindʺ
77: ʾi da bì štejălь ʾá ja ne vídimь da ĭdemь, ʺEven if I wanted to, I cannot see in order to goʺ
78: nélo ukrádnu xrómecь ʺBut the lame man stole itʺ

90: Togíva gd͒ínь séde na súdište da gì súdi Then the master sat in the court to try them
91: ʾi réče imь And he said to them:
92: kakvò ste kradnáli pa takà xromče sédni na slepcà ʺLame man, sit yourself on the blind man, like as when you stealedʺ

97: vídite li xr͒tiánì kakvà míslь mísleše ʾonja gd͒inь Do you see, christians, what thought that master was thinking
štotò beše naprávilь xúbavo lózie for he had made a goodly vineyard
ʾi zagrádíl go da nè poségne níkoĭ na négo and he had enclosed it so no one would encroach on it
ta sam͛ si da zéme maksúlo svóĭ but that he would take the harvest for himself
da ne dadè drúgomu makárь ʾustà da sì rastvóri not giving anything to anyone, even if with open mouth
98: ʾálì bg̃ь ne dáde toko ʾednómu da è sitь sa svékakvo dobrò But God did not give only one to be satiated with all the good
