14: ʾi nému beše ʾime sivlikía his name was Symblicius
15: ta réče na slugí te si da mù privedútь ѳewdótu devícu and he said to his servants to bring him the maiden Theodota
da jù ʾispíta šté li da sè wtfrь´li wt xr͒tóvu véru so that he can ask her, whether she would cast herself away from the Christian faith
16: ʾi mlógo vréme jù drьžà and he held her for a long time
17: ta jù sveki dénь dúmaše and he said to her every day:
18: teʾwdoto devíce wtfrьlí se wt xr͒tóvu véru ʺo maiden Theodota, cast yourself away from the faith of Christʺ
19: ta príidì na nášu véru xúbavu ʺand come to our nice faithʺ
20: i náši bg̃ove povér͛vaĭ ʺand believe in our godsʺ
21: ʾá ʾwna káže but she said:
22: ʾw knézu bezumni nitì veru vášu sakamь nitì bg̃a vášego vérvamь ʺo mindless prince, I neither wish your faith, nor I believe in your godʺ
23: togíva se zle rasrь´di siglikitь knézь then Symblicius got very angry
24: ta povelè na slugí te si so he gave a command to his servants
25: ta ʾwbesíxu ѳeʾwdotu: sásь glávu na dóle and they hanged Theodota with her head upside down
26: ʾi svúju snágu sásь želéznì nókti sadráxu and they ripped all of her body with iron claws
27: ʾi ʾwna trьpéše and she suffered
28: ʾi bg͂u se, vérno móleše and she prayed to God faithfully
29: ʾi pa dúmaše and then she spoke:
30: ʾjá se níkakь ne boim što mì stružete télo sásь žilézni nókti ʺI have no fear from your ripping of my body with iron clawsʺ
31: ʾá knezь siglikía ʾwšte po zlé se srьdì and prince Symblicius got even more angry
32: ta réče and he said (a command)
33: ta jù ʾwkováxu and they fettered her
34: ʾi u tevnícu ju frьlíxu and they threw her into a dungeon
35: ta sedè zatvórena *z* dnì and she said incarcerated for 7 days
36: kogi bì ʾósmi dénь sásь: bž̃íemь povelenïemь sáma se ʾw´tvorì tevnica ʾóčevídno on the eighth day she opened the dungeon by herself with the God's allowance
37: ʾá stražáre te kató vidóxa če se sáma wttvorì tevníca ʾá wnī se ʾjáko uplašíxa but the guards, as they saw the dungeon open, they got very scared
38: ʾi skóro utidóxa and they went quickly
39: ʾi kazáxu siglikïju knézu and they told to prince Symblicius
40: ʾá wnь gì né veruvà and he did not believe them
41: nélo réče but he said:
42: prívedete ѳeʾwdōtu da jù pítamь kakvà magía znáe ʺbring me Theodota, so that I can ask her, what kind of magic she knowsʺ
43: ta sè sáma ʾōtvára temníca ʺso that she opens the dungeon by herselfʺ
44: ʾi kakvó e: ʾwzdravéla snagá ta ju zá *z* dnì ʺand how could she make her body heal in 7 daysʺ
45: ʾi pitá ju knézь and the prince asked her
46: tì kakvá si ta sè wt mč̃nïe ne bóĭšь. ʺwhat the hell are you, that you fear no torment?ʺ
47: togíva st̃aʾjá ѳeʾwdóta reče then St. Theodota said:
48: da se, pomráči umь tvóĭ da bì ʾimálь pámetь: ʺmay your mind darkens, so that you remember:ʺ
49: tí bi vidélь če smь ʾjá ѳewdóta devíca ʺyou would see, that this is me, maiden Theodotaʺ
50: ʾi tovà ču siglíkïja knézь and Symblicius heard it
51: ta sà ʾwšte po zlè rasrьdì so he became even more angry
52: ta povele péštь da napálatь razьžažéna and he commanded to ignite a furnace powerfully
53: ʾi frьlíxa u péštь st̃uju mč̃nicu ѳewdótu and they threw the holy martyr Theodota inside
54: ʾi kato ju frьlixu ʾizidè plámenь ʾizь usta ta péštni and as they threw her in, a flame came out of the mouth of the furnace
55: ta ʾisgori *o* múžie and 70 men were burnt
56: ʾá što ʾwstanuxu zdrávi ʾwni zatvórixu na peš tà ustá ta and the remaining healthy ones closed the mouth of the furnace
57: ʾi ʾōtidóxa si and they went away
58: kogí bi tréti dénь ʾá knézo záprati dvà popà ʾidol͛skì ʾi ʾwšte nekóliko čl̃véci on the third day, the prince sent two idolatrous priests and some other people
da ʿidutь na peš tà, da zberut pépelь ʾwt telo to st̃eĭ ѳéwdóti so that they go to the furnace to collect the ashes of the St. Theodota's body
59: če ʾóni rékoxa če se è zgoréla ѳoʾwdota ʾu peš ta for they said, that Theodota was (already) burnt
60: ta da jù zbératь wt kostí te pépelo so that they could now collect the ashes from the bones

da gò né ma nígde so that there is no (trace of it) anywhere
61: i ʾōtvoríxu ustá ta na peš tà and they opened the mouth of the furnace
62: pa ʾizide plámenь and then a flame came out
63: ta ʾizgori ʾi dvá ta popà And it burned both priests
64: ʾá wnia čl͂veci, što béxa sásь popóve te And those people, who were with the priests
ʾá ʾwni vidóxu ѳeʾwdótu če sedì u srédь péš ta they saw Theodota sitting in the middle of the furnace
míždu dva mom͛ka na ʾóbrazь, belì kato snégь between (what looked) like two boys, who were white like snow
65: ʾi kato vídoxa takóvo preslávnoe čúdo ʾóni se uplášíxu and as they saw such a most famous miracle, they got scared
66: ta stanúxu katò mrь´tvi and they became like dead
67: ʾá ѳewdòta páki zdráva ʾizleze ʾis peštù ʾwgnénu and Theodota again came out healthy from the fiery furnace
68: níšto na njù ne povrédeno there was no harm on her
69: nelò peéše but she sang
70: ʾi bg̃a moléše da jù dadè bg̃ь trьpénïe and she prayed to God for torment
71: ʾi tovà víde síglikítь knézь and Symblicius saw it
če né možè ʾi sásь ʾwgnь da ʾizgorì ѳewdótu that he cannot burn Theodota with fire either
72: ʾá ʾwnь sè čúdi večè kakvò da napravì and he wondered, what he could do
73: no povelè da svrь´žutь st̃uju ѳeʾwdotu so he commanded to have her bound

ʾi ne preklonišь tvojù glávu na bg̃a móego ʺand you will not bow your head down to my godʺ
ʾá ja štem ʾwšte po zlé da tè múčimь ʺthen I will torment you even more badlyʺ
78: ʾi réče knézь nʾa edínь vérenь slugà and the prince said to one loyal servant:
79: ʾidi vrьžì ѳewdótu ʺgo (to) bind Theodotaʺ
80: ʾi zavedí ju u ʾidolsku cr͂kvu ʺand bring her to the idolatrous churchʺ
što sè zovè kápište ʺwhich is called a templeʺ
81: ʾi ako se ne pokloni na náši te bg͂ove ʺand if she will not bow to our godsʺ
ʾjá štem͛ ju togíva sásь mьčь posékti ʺI will cut her down with sword thenʺ
82: ʾa ʾóna kato ču taʾjá duma tà se ʾjáko zarádva and as she heard it, she became very happy
83: ʾi zavedoxa ju u kapište and they brought her to the temple
84: ʾi oná se pokloni samomu xr͒tu and she bowed to Christ himself
85: ʾá ʾidole te sví te padnúxu na zémlju and the idols fell down to the ground
86: ta se sakrušixu and they fell apart
87: ta stanuxu kato práxь ʾi pepel͛ and they became like dust and ash
88: ʾá knézь togíva večè ne ma što dà storì and the prince could do nothing then
89: no povelè na četvórica voĭne da ju rastégnut da ju pretrijut sásь trívónь so he commanded four soldiers to stretch her and smear her with oil (?)
90: ʾi pretríxu ju preko srédь and they smeared her in the middle
91: ʾi metnuxu ju u edínь trápь and they threw her into a pit
92: ʾi mïnu nekol͛ko vréme and some time passed
93: ʾá knézь sámь ʾōtidè da vídi dali nékojà gádь ʾizéde st̃uju ѳeʾwdotu then the prince himself came to see, whether some vermin ate St. Theodota
94: ʾōtíde he went
95: ʾi paki ju zdrávu naide u trápo and he found her healthy again in the pit
96: ʾá wnь se veče udivi and he was already amazed
97: ʾi zagubì svóĭ zloumni pametь and he lost his evil mind
98: i reče na voine svoĭ skóro ѳewdóti glávu sásь mьčь wtsečéte and he said to his soldiers: ʺQuickly cut off the head of Theodota with a sword!ʺ
99: ʾi wtsekoša éĭ čt͒nuju: glavu and they cut off her honorable head
100: wttíde kь bg̃u she went to God
101: ʾi venécь uze mč̃ničeski, and she received the laurels of martyrdom
102: témi že sláva ʾi čt͒ь and to those may be glory and honor and respect
ʾi poklonenïe ʾoc͂u ʾi sñu ʾi st̃omu dx̃u (and) to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
