2: | Бе́ше не́кое вре́ме жи́вь ҆иїсакь син ҆áврамовь | Isaac, son of Abraham, lived for some time |
3: | ҆и дойде вре́ме | and the time came |
4: | ҆и ѡстарѐ | and he became old |
5: | ҆и сась ҆о́ч҃и не ви́деше | and he could not see with his eyes |
6: | ҆ѡслепе́ль бе́ше | (for) he had become blind |
7: | ҆и призова сина свое́го по стáраго. | and he called his older son |
8: | ҆и рече мꙋ | and he said to him: |
9: | си́нꙋ мо́й перворо́дни ви́диш ли ме | ʺo my first-born son, do you see me?ʺ |
10: | састаре́х се | ʺI became oldʺ |
11: | ҆и сась ҆очи не ви́димь, | ʺand I do not see with my eyesʺ |
12: | ҆и приходꙋ днѝ | ʺand the days are comingʺ |
13: | ҆и хочемь да ꙋмремь | ʺand I will dieʺ |
14: | но ти сине ꙋзмѝ стре́лꙋ ҆и ль́кь | ʺbut you, son, take and arrow and bowʺ |
15: | ҆и ѡтидѝ ꙋ поле | ʺand go to the fieldʺ |
16: | ҆и ꙋлови мї ло́вь | ʺand hunt game for meʺ |
17: | ҆и донесѝ ҆и ꙋготви го́збꙋ каквото ҆ѡби́чемь ҆áзь | ʺand bring me and make me a meal, which I likeʺ |
18: | ҆и принеси ми да ҆ꙗ́мь | ʺand bring it to me, so that I can eatʺ |
҆и да те бл҃госло́ви дш҃а моѧ̀ догдѐ не́ смь ꙋмре́ль | ʺand that my soul will bless you before I am deadʺ | |
19: | ҆á реве́ка стопáница ҆исакова слꙋша що дꙋмà ҆иїсáкь си́нꙋ своемꙋ ҆исавꙋ | but Rebecca, Isaac's wife, heard, what Isaac says to his son |
20: | ҆и їзле́зе ӥсáвь на по́ле да ꙋло́ви ловь ҆о́ц҃ꙋ своемꙋ | and Esau went out to the field to hunt game for his father |
21: | ҆á ревека ре́че ҆иꙗковꙋ по млáдомꙋ си́нꙋ своемꙋ | and Rebecca said to Jacob, her younger son: |
22: | ҆ꙗ́ слꙋшахь. оц҃а тво́его какво̀ дꙋмà ҆исавꙋ братꙋ твое́мꙋ | ʺI heard your father, what he says to Esau, your brotherʺ |
23: | ре́че мꙋ | ʺhe said:ʺ |
24: | принеси́ ми ловь | ʺbring me gameʺ |
25: | ҆и ꙋготви́ ми го́збꙋ да ҆ꙗ́демь ҆и да те блáгосло́вимь пре́дь бг҃а догдѐ не смь ꙋмре́ль | ʺand make me a meal, so that I eat and bless you by God before I am deadʺ |
26: | ҆á ти си́не мои ҆иакове послꙋшай мене що тѝ ҆ꙗ́ заповедꙋ́емь | ʺso you, o Jacob, my son, listen to me, what I command youʺ |
27: | ҆иди при ҆ѡ́вьци́ те наши | ʺgo to our sheepʺ |
28: | ҆и донеси́ ми ѿ тáмо два ко́злища млáди ҆и добрѝ | ʺand bring me from there two young and good goat kidsʺ |
29: | и да гѝ ꙋгѡтвимь на го́збꙋ ҆о́ц҃ꙋ твоемꙋ какво́то ҆ѡ́нь ҆ѡби́че | ʺand may I prepare them for a meal for your father, as he likes itʺ |
30: | ҆и да но́сишь ҆о́ц҃ꙋ тво҆емꙋ да ҆ꙗ́де да те бл҃госло́ви ҆о́ц҃ь твои догдѝ не е ꙋмре́ль | ʺand may you bring (it) to your father, so that he eats and blesses you before he diesʺ |
31: | ре́че ҆и҆ꙗ́ко́вь ревеки мт҃ри свое́й | Jacob said to Rebecca, his mother: |
32: | ҆исавь брáть мой е͒ мꙋ́жь космáть | ʺEsau, my brother, is a hairy manʺ |
33: | ҆á ҆ꙗ́ смь мꙋжь глаткы | ʺbut I am a smooth manʺ |
34: | да ме некакво не ҆ѡсꙋди ҆о́ц҃ь мо́й | ʺmay my father does not judge meʺ |
35: | ҆и да бꙋдемь пред не́го ҆ѡ́сꙋждень | ʺand may I would (not) be sentenced in front of himʺ |
36: | ҆и да добїем на се́бе кле́твꙋ ҆á не бл҃гословенїе | ʺand may I would (not) receive a curse for me instead of blessingʺ |
37: | рече́ емꙋ мт҃и: | his mother said to him: |
38: | на ме́не да бꙋде клетва твоѧ чáдо | ʺmay your curse be for me, o childʺ |
39: | токмо послꙋшаи ре́чи мо́й | ʺjust hear my wordsʺ |
40: | ҆иди донеси́ ми | ʺgo and bring (it) to meʺ |
41: | ҆и ҆ѡтиде | and he went |
42: | ҆и донесе два ко́злища | and he brought two goat kids |
43: | ҆и даде ги майке си | and he gave them to his mother |
44: | ҆и ѡна ги ꙋготви на гозбꙋ каквото ҆о́ц҃ь мꙋ ҆ѡби́чеше | and she prepared it for a meal, as his father liked |
45: | ҆и ꙋзе реве́ка дре́хꙋ ҆исáвовꙋ си́нꙋ сво́емꙋ по старомꙋ | and Rebecca took clothes from Esau, her older son |
46: | ҆и ѡбле́че си́на сво́его ҆иаковà по младо́ того | and she clothed her younger son Jacob |
47: | ҆и сáсь ко́зи те ко́жи ѡбви и҆áковꙋ рꙋце́ те | and she wrapped with goat skins Jacob's hands |
до ми́ш͛ци те ҆и до грꙋди́ те | up to the muscles and breasts | |
48: | ҆и даде мꙋ мт҃и гозбꙋ ҆и́ хлебь | and mother gave him the meal and bread |
49: | ҆и ꙋзе ҆ꙗ́ковь ꙋ рꙋце | and Jacob took (it) to his hands |
50: | ҆и ꙋне́се ҆о́ц҃ꙋ свое́мꙋ | and he brought (it) to his father |
51: | ҆и ҆ѡц҃ь го питà | and his father asked him: |
52: | ти кой сї чадо моѐ | ʺwhich one are you, my child?ʺ |
53: | ҆á ҆и҆ꙗ́ковь на ль́жꙋ продꙋма оц҃ꙋ своемꙋ | and Jacob said deceitfully to his father: |
54: | ҆ете ҆ꙗ́ смь ҆исавь перворожде́ни си́нь тво́й | ʺbehold, I am Esau, your first-born sonʺ |
55: | сотвори́хь каквото ми ти́ заповедà ҆о́ч҃е | ʺI did as you commanded me, o fatherʺ |
56: | станѝ | ʺstand upʺ |
57: | ҆и ҆ꙗшь ѿ лова. моѐго да мѐ бл҃госло́вит дш҃а твоѧ̀ | ʺand eat from the game from me, so that you soul blesses meʺ |
58: | рече ҆исакь си́нꙋ свое́мꙋ | Isaac said to his son: |
59: | що си тол͛ко ско́ро до́йде ҆о́ чадо | ʺhow did you come so fast, o child?ʺ |
60: | ҆á ҆ѡнь ре́че | but he said: |
61: | гд͒ь: бг҃ь ско́ро ҆изведе предꙋ ме́не ловь | ʺLord God brought the game soon before meʺ |
63: | ҆и донесо́хь | ʺand I brought (it)ʺ |
64: | ҆á исакꙋ се вера не ло́веше | but Isaac's faith was not taken |
65: | паки ре́че ҆исакь ҆иаковꙋ | Isaac said again to Jacob: |
66: | приближи се при ме́не да тѐ досе́гнемь чадо | ʺcome closer to me, so that I can touch you, o childʺ |
да ви́димь ти́ ли си си́нь мой ҆исавь ҆или нѐ | ʺso that I see, whether you are my son Esau or notʺ | |
67: | при́ближи́ се ҆иӑко́вь при ҆исáка ҆о́ц҃а сво́҅его | Jacob came closer to Isaac, his father |
68: | ҆и досегнá го | and he touched him |
69: | ҆и ре́че | and he said: |
70: | ҆ѡ гд͒и глáсь ҆и глáсь ҆иáковль | ʺo Lord, the voice (ʺand voiceʺ) - Jacobs'sʺ |
71: | рꙋце ҆и рꙋце ҆исавови | ʺhands (ʺand handsʺ) - Esau'sʺ |
72: | ҆и не позна го | and he did not recognize him |
73: | защо беше ҆ѡ́блекль дре́хꙋ ҆исавовꙋ | because he had put on himself Esau's clothes |
74: | ҆и беше си ѡбвиль рꙋце́ те сáсь ҆ꙗ́решки ко́жи | and he had wrapped his hands in goat skins |
75: | ҆и, направил͛ си бе́ше рꙋце́ те космáти като ҆исавови те братꙋ своемꙋ | and he had made his hands hairy as those of Esau, his brother |
76: | ҆и не по́зна го ҆о́ц҃ь него́вь | and his father did not recognize him |
77: | ҆и бл҃гослови го | and he blessed him |
78: | ҆и ре́че | and he said: |
79: | ти́ ли си ҆исаве сине мо́й | ʺis it you, o Esau, my son?ʺ |
80: | ҆и ҆ѡнь ре́че | and he said: |
81: | ҆áзь ҆е́смь | ʺI amʺ |
82: | ҆и рече мꙋ ҆о́ц҃ь | and his father said to him: |
83: | принеси́ ми да еде́мь ѿ ло́ва твое́го чáдо | ʺbring me to eat from your game, o childʺ |
да бл҃гословит те дш҃а мо҆ꙗ́ | ʺso that my soul blesses youʺ | |
84: | и прине́се мꙋ | and he brought (it) to him |
85: | ҆и ҆ꙗ́де | and he ate |
86: | ҆и прине́се мꙋ вино | and he brought him wine |
87: | ҆и напи се | and he drank |
88: | ҆и рече ҆емꙋ ҆исакь ҆ѡц҃ь ҆его̀ | and Isaac, his father, said to him: |
89: | приближи́ се при менѐ | ʺcome to me closerʺ |
90: | ҆и целꙋвай ме чáдо. | ʺand kiss me, o childʺ |
91: | ви́дите ли кáкво е било зло ҆испи́тиа ҆и не прáвда | do you see what evils, trials and deceit there were? |
92: | баща мꙋ ҆ꙗ́де ѿ ло́ва | his father ate from the game |
93: | ҆и пи вино | and he drank wine |
94: | ҆и све се не вер͛ваше да го не изьль́жꙋть | and he still did not believe, that they were not going to deceive him |
95: | ҆и при́бли́жи се | and he came closer |
96: | ҆и целовà оц҃а свое́го | and he kissed his father |
97: | ҆и замери́са меризмà хꙋбава ѿ дреха та ҆исавова | and he smelled the nice odor of Esau's clothes |
98: | ҆и рече | and he said: |
99: | таѧ меризма е ѿ дреха та си́нꙋ мое́мꙋ ҆исавꙋ що го гд͒ь бл҃госло́ви | ʺthis odor is from the clothes of my son Esau, who shall be blessed by the Lordʺ |
100: | ҆и рече ҆исакь синꙋ своемꙋ | and Isaac said to his son: |
101: | чáдо да ҆исполнить ти бг҃ь прошенїе твое | ʺo child, may God fulfills your prayersʺ |
102: | ҆и да ти дадѐ б҃ь села | ʺand may God give you settlementsʺ |
103: | ҆и да ти дадѐ бг҃ь ѿ роси небе́сниа ҆и ѿ влáги зе́мниа | ʺand may God give you from the heavenly dew and earthly moistureʺ |
҆и млого пшени́цꙋ ҆и ви́но | ʺand a lot of wheat and wineʺ | |
104: | ҆и да те слꙋшат свѝ ҆ꙗзи́ци | ʺand may all peoples obey youʺ |
105: | ҆и да ти се покланꙗют кне́зове | ʺand may princes bow to youʺ |
106: | ҆и да бꙋдешь господинь брáтꙋ тво́емꙋ | ʺand may you be a lord to your brotherʺ |
107: | ҆и да ти се поклонꙋт си́нове ҆о́цꙋ твоемꙋ | ʺand may the sons of your father bow to youʺ |
108: | ҆и ко́й тебе прокльнѐ проклеть да бꙋде | ʺand whoever curses you, may he be accursedʺ |
109: | ҆á ко́й тебе бл҃агосло́ви бл҃гослове́нь да бꙋ́де | ʺand whoever blesses you, may he be blessedʺ |
110: | ҆и престанꙋ ҆исакь ѿ бл҃гослáвꙗне сина свое́го ҆иӑкова | and Isaac stopped to bless his son Jacob |
111: | бл҃гослови́ го баща мꙋ, | his father blessed him |
112: | ҆и излезе ҆иаковь | and Jacob went out |
113: | ҆ѡти́де си | and he went away |
114: | по неко́и чась до́йде ҆исавь ѿ ло́ва | after some time Esau came back from the hunt |
115: | ҆и ꙋготвѝ ҆и то́й ҆ꙗ́стиа | and he made a meal too |
116: | ҆и прине́се ҆о́ц҃ꙋ свое́мꙋ | and he brought (it) to his father |
117: | ҆и ре́че | and he said: |
118: | стáни ҆о́ч҃е да еде́шь ѿ ло́ва мое́го да бл҃гослови́т ме дш҃а твоѧ | ʺstand up, o father, and eat from my game, so that your soul blesses meʺ |
119: | ҆и ре́че бащá мꙋ | and his father said: |
120: | ти ко́й си | ʺwho are you?ʺ |
121: | ҆á ҅ѡнь, ре́че | and he said: |
122: | ҆ꙗ́ смь первородни си́нь тво́й ҆исавь | ʺI am Esau, your first-born sonʺ |
123: | какво̀ чꙋ бащá мꙋ че не ѐ би́ль ҆исавь да го бл҃гослови | as his father heard, that it had not been Esau, whom he blessed |
҆á ҆ѡн се ꙋплаши ҆ꙗ́ко | he got very scared | |
124: | ҆и ре́че | and he said: |
125: | кой бе́ше тоꙗ̀ що ми ҆ꙋлови ло́вь ҆и доне́се ми | ʺwho was the one, who hunted for me a game and brought it to me (before)?ʺ |
126: | та ҆ꙗдох ѿ свѐ догдѐ не бе́ше доше́ль ти́, | ʺthen I ate it before you had (ʺnotʺ) comeʺ |
127: | ҆и бл҃гослових͛ го | ʺand I blessed himʺ |
128: | ҆и бл҃гослове́нь ще да бꙋде | ʺand he will be blessedʺ |
129: | когѝ чꙋ ҆исáвь че ѐ бл҃гослови́ль бащá мꙋ ҆иакова ҆á ҆ѡнь ви́кнꙋ сáсь голе́мь глáсь | as Esau heard, that his father had blessed Jacob, he cried with a great voice |
ко́лко може | as much as he could | |
130: | ҆и гор͛ко заплáка ҆ꙗ́ко | and he cried a lot |
131: | ҆и ре́че | and he said: |
132: | бл҃гослови ҆и ме́не ҆о́ч҃е | ʺbless me too, o fatherʺ |
133: | молим͛ ти се | ʺI pray you!ʺ |
134: | ҆á баща мꙋ ре́че | but his father said: |
135: | при҆иде брать тво́й | ʺyour brother cameʺ |
136: | сáсь льстїю ꙋзе бл҃гослове́нїе | ʺhe took the blessing with deceitʺ |
137: | ҆и ре́че ҆исавь | and Esau said: |
138: | по прав-дꙋ вто́ри пꙋть пот͛пе ме ҆иаковь | ʺtruly, Jacob humiliated me for the second timeʺ |
139: | ҆и ꙋзе ми пер͛вен͛ство моѐ | ʺand he took my primogenitureʺ |
140: | ҆á сьга ҆и бл҃гослове́нїе моѐ ѡть́мнꙋ | ʺand now he took my blessingʺ |
141: | ҆и ре́че ҆исáвь ҆о́цꙋ своемꙋ | and Esau said to his father: |
142: | не ѡстави́ль ли ҆еси ҆и ме́не бл҃гослове́нїе ҆о́ч҃е | ʺdid you not left a blessing for me, o father?ʺ |
143: | ҆á баща мꙋ ре́че, | but his father said: |
144: | ҆исаве ҆ꙗ́ ҆ѡстави́хь ҆иакова брата, твое́го да бꙋдеть гд͒инь те́бе | ʺo Esau, I made (ʺleftʺ) your brother Jacob to be your lordʺ |
145: | ҆и сви́ брайкꙗ него́ви сотвори́хь ҆е́мꙋ ро́бие | ʺand I made all his brothers to be his servantsʺ |
146: | сáсь пшени́цꙋ ҆и сась вино̀ ҆оутвер͛дихь н҆егѡ̀ | ʺI strengthened him with weath and wineʺ |
147: | ҆á тебе що да сотворим чáдо | ʺso what should I make for you, o child?ʺ |
148: | ҆á ҆исавь се мо́леше | but Esau prayed him |
149: | ҆и тако ꙋмиле́но гово́реше | and he spoke very nicely |
150: | ҆едно̀ ли бл҃госло́венїе ꙋ те́бе има ҆о́ч҃е | ʺdo you (not) have a single blessing (left), o father?ʺ |
151: | бл҃гослови и ме́не ҆о́ч҃е | ʺbless me too, o father!ʺ |
152: | ҆и ꙋмиле́ се баще́ мꙋ | and his father had mercy |
153: | ҆и викнꙋ сáсь голе́мь глáсь | and he called with a strong voice |
154: | ҆и ре́че | and he said |
155: | ҆исав ҆восплакà гор͛ко | and Esau wept bitterly |
156: | ҆и рече бащá мꙋ | and his father said: |
157: | ҆и ти да ҆имашь ѿ влáги земниꙗ, ҆и ѿ ро́си нб҃сни́а | ʺmay you have from the moisture of earth and dew of heavens tooʺ |
158: | ҆и да мꙋчи́шь зе́млю | ʺand may you torment (?) the earthʺ |
159: | да жи́веешь | ʺmay you liveʺ |
160: | ҆и братꙋ твое́мꙋ да порáботишь | ʺand may you serve your brotherʺ |
161: | ҆и коги се састáришь | ʺand when you become oldʺ |
тоги́ва да разло́жишь ҆и да ѡстáвишь ҆ꙗ́дь ѿ ши́ю твою̀ | ʺthen may you put off and away the anger from your neckʺ | |
162: | и ҆ѡстáви баща врáждꙋ междꙋ двà брáта | and the father left enmity between the two brothers |
163: | ҆и ҆ꙗ́дꙋваше ҆исáвь на ҆иáкова радѝ бл҃гослове́нїе | and Esau was angry against Jacob because of the blessing |
164: | ҆и тако́й ги бл҃гослови ҆о́ц҃ь | and thus (their) father blessed them |
165: | ҆и тако́й нꙋ́жно живꙋвáхꙋ .:. .:. .:. .:. | and thus they lived in need... |
166: | Ви́дите ли хр͒ти́ӑни какво̀ бл҃го-слáвꙗ ҆о́ц҃ь че́до | do you see, o Christians, what (happens when) a father blesses a child? |
167: | ҆едно̀ чедо свое бл҃гослови преко мерꙋ | (and) he blesses one child beyond the measure? |
168: | ҆и нарече гѡ да бꙋ́де богáть ҆и да ҆има ѿ свекакво добро ҆и мло́го | and he called one to be wealthy and have any good and in plenty |
҆и да бꙋде, нади мло́го чл҃веци господáрь: | and may he be a lord over many people | |
да мꙋ се срáмꙋють ҆и да мꙋ се поклан҆ꙗ́ть | so that they are ashamed in front of him and bow to him | |
҆и ѿ не ви́дима да мꙋ приходить богат͛ство ҆или бꙋди що | and that he receives unseen riches or whatever | |
169: | ҆á дрꙋ́го че́до не ще́ꙗ ҆о́ц҃ь да бл҃гослови сась све срдце | but the father did not want to bless the other child with all his heart |
170: | ҆и ҆ѡстанꙋ жалень на то҆ꙗ́ ст҃ь | and he remained sad in this world |
171: | ҆и сась мꙋкꙋ печáли | and he makes his living with torments |
172: | ҆и сась нево́лю се хрáни | and he feeds himself with misfortune |
173: | ҆и кáлень ҆и мокрь хо́ди | and he walks filthy and wet |
174: | ҆á пощо радѝ такои, да бꙋ́де | and why should it be so? |
175: | чꙋйте | hear me |
176: | ҆и разꙋмейте | and understand: |
177: | самь гд͒ь бг҃ь тáко ҆изволи | the Lord God Himself thus wanted! |
178: | ҆áвел҆ꙗ́ сина ҆áдáмова бг҃ь бл҃гослови | God chose Abel, son of Adam |
179: | ҆á кайна по стараго ҆и пер͛вороднаго си́на ҆áдáмова проклѐ | and he cursed Cain, the older and first-born son of Adam |
180: | ҆и рече | and He said: |
181: | брать твои тебе да господствꙋва | ʺmay your brother is a lord over youʺ |
182: | такои ре́че ҆и авраӑмовь синь иїсакь си́нꙋ своемꙋ ҆исавꙋ ҆иаковꙋ | thus also Isaac, son of Abraham, said to he son Esau (to serve Jacob?) |
183: | ҆и ҆ꙗ́ко́вь ꙋзе бл҃гослове́нїе брáтꙋ своемꙋ сьсь льстию | and Jacob took the blessing of his brother with deceit |
184: | ҆и нáрече го бащá мꙋ сась по́мощь божию да бꙋ́де богáть | and his father told him to be wealthy with the help of God |
185: | ҆исава нарече че да бꙋде брáтꙋ своемꙋ слꙋга | he said to Esau to be a servant to his brother |
да мꙋ се срамꙋва ҆и да мꙋ се поклан҆ꙗ́ | to be ashamed before him and to bow to him | |
҆и ѡнь да господствꙋ́е братꙋ своемꙋ | and he (Jacob) to be a lord over him | |
186: | тако ҆е́сть ҆и до дне́шни де́нь .:. | and thus it is until today |
