1: === Бл҃гослове́ни хр͒тиани ҆имайте добри рáзꙋмь да ꙋсли́шите чꙋдна ҆и преслáвнаꙗ делà бж҃иа o blessed Christians, have good thoughts, so that you (can) hear wondrous and famous deeds of God
2: да ви́ скажемо прьви создáнїѧ бж҃їи ҆ѿ начла may we tell you about the first creations of God from the beginning
3: Вь то́и де́нь ҆егдà сотворѝ б҃ь нб҃о ҆и землю ҆и свáки злáкь on that day, when God craeted the Heavens and the Earth and all the plants
҆и прьви́нь зе́млю про́свети сáсь све́каквꙋ трáвꙋ сел͛нꙋю He first enlightened the land by all the kinds of grass
4: ҆и прьво нб҃о ҆ѡд͛ждѝ бг҃ь and God first put the rain to the Heavens
5: ҆и на землю чл҃векь не ймаше да ю рабо́ти and there was no man on Earth to work on it
6: ҆и їзво́рь ҆ѡтво́ри бг҃ь and God opened a source
7: ҆излазеше ҆и́сь зе́млю водà water poured (then) out of the land
8: ҆и ꙋзе бг҃ь, зе́млю and God took soil
9: ҆и создáде чл҃ве́ка ѿ землю and He created a human out of the soil
10: ҆и дꙋхнꙋ мꙋ ꙋ ꙋстá та and He breathed into his mouth
11: ҆и ѡживѐ and he became alive
12: ҆и би́сть чл҃ве́кь сáсь дш҃ꙋ живꙋ and he became a human with a live soul
13: ҆и насадѝ бг҃ь рáй вь еде́мь на ҆истокь and God planted a Paradise in Eden in the East
14: ҆и ѡстави ҆адама тамо̀ and He left Adam there
15: ҆и запове́да бг҃ь зе́мли and God commanded the Earth
16: ҆и їзрасте ҆едно дрьво хꙋ́баво and a beautiful tree grew
17: ҆и видо́ха го ҆ꙗ́ко хꙋбаво на ро́жбꙋ and they saw it (to be) very beautiful by the fruit
18: ҆и дрьво́ то расте́ше ꙋ сре́дь раꙗ̀ and the tree grew in the middle of the Paradise
19: ҆и ѿ товà дрь́во ще да се познае ҆и зло ҆и добро̀ and from that tree the good and evil could be known
20: рекà ҆излази ҆изь ҆еде́ма a river flew out of Eden
да по́й рáй to feed the Paradise with water
коги се. збе́рꙋть чл҃веци ꙋ не́го when humans assemble there
21: ҆и ҆ѡ тамо се рáздели водá та на четири стрáни and from there the water is divided to four parts
22: ҆име постави́хꙋ на ҆еднꙋ водꙋ фисѡ́нь one of the rivers is called Pishon
23: та҆ꙗ̀ водà ҆ѡбити́чаше свꙋ зе́млю ҆евилат͛скꙋю that water flows around all the land of Havilah
24: тáмо ҆има млого злáто there is a lot of gold there
25: ҆á злáто то е͒ землѧ̀ ҆и камикь, зеле́ни and the gold is the land and green stone (?)
26: ҆и на вто́рꙋ ре́кꙋ ҆име геѡн and the name of the second river is Gihon
27: ҆ѡ́на ҆ѡбити́ча свꙋ зе́млю ҆еѳиѡпьскꙋю it flows around the whole land of Ethiopia
28: ҆и трета, ре́ка зове́ се ти́грь and the third river is called Tigris
29: ми́нꙋва спротѝ ҆áсирйѡнь it flows towards Assyria
30: ре́ка. четверт͛аѧ зове́ се ефрáть the fourth (river) is called Euphrates
31: ҆ѡнà течѐ по сре́де раѧ it flows through the middle of the Paradise
32: и ꙋзе гд͒ь бг҃ь ҆áдама and Lord God took Adam
33: ҆и пꙋщи го ꙋ рáй да рабо́ти ҆и да го̀ чꙋва and He left him in the Paradise to work there and care for it
34: ҆и заповедà гд͒ь бг҃ь ҆адамꙋ and Lord God commanded Adam:
35: ѿ све́ко дрь́во берѝ ҆и ҆ꙗшь ʺtake and eat from each treeʺ
36: ҆а ѿ товà дрь́во щото̀ разꙋме́ва ҆и зло ҆и добро̀ не ꙋзи́маите ѿ не́го ʺbut from that tree, which makes you understand evil and good, do not take from itʺ
37: ҆áкѡ ҆ꙋзмете ѿ не́го ꙋми́рате ʺif you take from it, you dieʺ
38: ҆и рече гд͒ь бг҃ь and Lord God said:
39: не ѐ добрѐ чл҃векꙋ ҆еди́номꙋ на зе́млю ʺit is not for a human (to be) single in the worldʺ
40: но да мꙋ сотво́рим помощьни́цꙋ ʺso let me create a helper for himʺ
41: ҆и по товà создáде бг҃ь ѿ зе́млю сви́ ѕве́рие що йма по́ светꙋ then God created out of the earth all the beasts, which live in the world
҆и свѝ пти́ци пернáти щото летꙋ́ть под нб҃са and all the feathery birds, which fly under the heavens
҆и сви́ гáдове щото̀ ҆лежꙋть ꙋ зе́млю and all the vermin, which lie in the ground
҆и свеко здáнїе що има под нб҃са and all the creation, which exists under the heavens
42: бг҃ь све́ко ѿ зе́млю создáде God created everything from the earth
43: ҆и приве́де ги при ҆áдама да види б҃ь какво́ ще да гѝ наречѐ ҆áдáмь and He brought them to Adam to see, how will Adam call them
44: ҆и све́ко наре́че на ҆име and he gave everything a name
45: на едно ре́че гове́до to one he said: a cow
46: на дрꙋго ҆ѡв͛ца to another: a sheep
47: ҆и на дѝви ѕверове на едно нарече ҆име влькь and to wild beasts, to one he gave the name: a wolf
48: на дрꙋ́го лиси́ца to another: a fox
49: на пернáти птици на ҆едно ре́че на йме ҆ѡре́ль to feathery birds, to one he gave the name: an eagle
50: а на дрꙋго голꙋбь and to another: a pidgeon
51: ҆и на свеко диханїе рáздели ҆име башкà башка and thus he put a name to each creature (ʺbreathing thingʺ) one by one
52: ҆и гд͒ь мꙋ ре́че and the Lord said to him:
53: си́не зако́нь .:. мо́й не забоварѝ ʺo son, do not forget about my lawʺ
54: ҆и дꙋ́ми те мой да при́емне твоѐ срдце ʺand may your heart accepts my wordsʺ
55: ҆и наре́че ҆адáмь ҆имена на сви́ ско́ти ҆и на сви́ пти́ци и на сви́ зве́рие and Adam gave names to all the cattle, and all the birds, and all the beasts
56: ҆и адамꙋ не можѐ да сѐ найде помощьникь, какво́ е не́мꙋ подо́бно and an appropriate helper could not be found for Adam
57: ҆и даде гд͒ь бг҃ь сьнь ҆áдáмꙋ and the Lord God gave slumber to Adam
58: ҆и заспа and he fell asleep
59: ҆и ꙋзе мꙋ ѿ ле́вꙋ стрáнꙋ ҆едно ребро and (God) took a rib from his left side
60: ҆и нáправи мꙋ ѿ ребро́ то женꙋ and He created a woman from the rib
61: ҆и приве́де ю при ҆áдáма and He brought her to Adam
62: ҆и ре́че ҆адáмь and Adam said:
63: таꙗ е женà ѿ кости .:. мо́й ҆и снагá та ю ѿ снáгꙋ мою̀ ʺshe is a woman from my bones and body from my bodyʺ
64: и нари́ча се женà ѿ мꙋшкꙋ снáгꙋ ꙋзета ʺand her name is woman taken from a male bodyʺ
65: ҆и зарадѝ женꙋ̀ ҆ѡстáвꙗ чл҃ве́кь ҆о́ц҃а свое́го ҆и мт҃рь ʺfor woman a man leaves his father and his motherʺ
66: ҆и бе́га да се приле́пи при женꙋ̀ свою̀ ҆и да стáнꙋть двá та ҆еди́нь ʺand he runs to attach himself to his wife and the two to become oneʺ
67: ҆и бехꙋ ҆и двойца голѝ ҆адáмь ҆и жена него́ва and the two of them, Adam and his wife, were naked
68: ҆и возрадꙋвáхꙋ се and they rejoiced
69: ҆á ѕми́à беше най мꙋдра ѿ сви́ те ѕверїе що сꙋ̀ на зе́млю що гѝ сотво́ри .:. гд͒ь бг҃ь but the snake was the most wise of all the creatures created by Lord God
70: ҆и ре́че ѕмиà на женꙋ ҆адáмовꙋ and the snake said to Adam's wife:
71: защо̀ тако̀ ре́че бг҃ь да нѐ ҆ꙗ́де́те ѿ све́ко дрь́во. рáйско ʺwhy (ʺbecauseʺ) did God say, that you do not eat from any tree in the Paradise?ʺ
72: ре́че женà woman said:
73: ѿ дрьв҆ꙗ̀ райски ҆и ѿ рож͛бꙋ ще́ме да еде́мо ʺwe will eat from all the trees in the Paradise and (its) fruitʺ
74: ҆á ѿ товà дрьво щото̀ расте на сре́дь ра҆ꙗ ʺbut (only) from the tree in the middle of the Paradiseʺ
ре́че. бг҃ь да не ҆едеме ѿ него ни да ми́неме по краи не́го ʺGod said, not to eat from it, nor to pass around itʺ
да нѐ ҆ꙋмрете ʺso that we won't dieʺ
75: ҆и ре́че ѕмїа ҆еви and the snake said to Eve:
76: не ще́те да ꙋмрете вїе ѿ самрьть ʺyou will not die by deathʺ
77: но бг҃ь видѐ ҆и разꙋмѐ защо кол͛ко ҆едетѐ ѿ товà дрьво вошкꙋ ҆ѡ́но щꙋть да сѐ ѿврь́зꙋть ҆ѡчи вáши ʺbut God saw and understood, that if you eat fruit of that tree, your eyes will become openʺ
҆и хо́чете да бꙋ́дете като̀ бг҃ове ҆и щете да видите све що има на то́ꙗ ст҃ь ʺand you will be like gods, and you will see everything, what is there in the worldʺ
҆и зло̀ ҆и добро̀ ʺevil and good (alike)ʺ
78: ҆и виде ҆е́ва мꙋжа своего̀ ҆áдама and Eve saw her husband Adam
79: ҆и рече мꙋ and she said to him:
80: стопáнїне чꙋе́ш ли какво̀ дꙋма крáса ѕмиà ʺo husband, do you hear what the snake says?ʺ
81: защо когѝ пꙋщи бг҃ь нáсь двами́на да хо́димо ни́зь раѧ ʺbecause, when God let the two of us to go around the Paradiseʺ
҆а ҆о́нь се досе́ти че кол͛ко ҆едеме нїе ѿ товà дрь́во рáзꙋмно ҆á оно щꙋть да ни сѐ ѿврьзꙋть ҆ѡчи нáши ʺHe understood, that if we eat from the wise tree, our eyes will openʺ
҆и ще-ме да бꙋ́деме като̀ бг҃ове ҆и щеме, да ви́диме ҆и зло ҆и добро̀ ʺand we would become like gods, seeing both evil and goodʺ
82: та за товá, ни заплаши да не ꙗде́мо ѿ това дрь́во ʺso that is why he threatened us, not to eat from that treeʺ
да не́ би станꙋ́ли нїѧ по голе́ми ѿ бг҃а ʺso that we would not become greater than Godʺ
83: зарадѝ това нѝ зáпре да нѐ ҆ꙗ́-де́мо ѿ товà дрь́во ʺthat is why He forbade us to eat from that treeʺ
84: но е́ла ʺbut come!ʺ
85: послꙋ́шáй ме ʺhear me!ʺ
86: да еде́мо ѿ товà дрь́во разꙋмно ʺlet us eat from that wise tree!ʺ
87: ҆и ви́де ҆ева женà добро̀ дрь́во на ро́жбꙋ and Eve saw (that) the tree (is) good for its fruit
҆и ҆ꙗ́ко ꙋго́дно да го̀ гле́дашь сась ҆ѡчи and pleasant for looking upon with eyes
88: ҆и хꙋбаво ҆есть and it is beautiful
89: ҆и поми́сли ҆ева and Eve thought:
90: ҆ꙗ́ко добро́ би било да разꙋмеем свѐ що йма ꙋ бг҃а ʺit would be very good to understand everything about Godʺ
91: ви́дите ли коли́ко се зове женà безьꙋ́мна can you see, how much mindless the woman is called?
92: б҃ь создáде ню̀ ѿ землю God created her from the soil
93: ҆á ѡна се надаше ѿ бг҃а да стáне по голе́ма and she hoped to become greater than God
94: ҆и ꙋзе ѿ ҆о́новà дрь́во and she took from the tree
95: ҆и ҆ꙗ́де and she ate
96: ҆и даде ҆áдáмꙋ мꙋ́жꙋ сво҆емꙋ and she gave to her husband Adam
97: ҆и ҆ꙗ́дохꙋ ҆и дво҆ица та and both ate
98: ҆и по истинꙋ ѿврьзáхꙋ им се ҆о́чи ҆и на двойца та and really, the eyes of both opened
99: ҆и разꙋмехꙋ че сꙋ били голѝ and they understood, that they have been naked
100: ҆и видо́хꙋ се сáми се́бе че сꙋ за срáмь би́ли and they saw each other, that they have been for shame
101: ҆и сьши́хꙋ ли́стове ѿ смоки́не and they stitched fig leaves together
102: ҆и направи́хꙋ си препоꙗсáнїе and created skirts out of them
103: ҆и прѐврьзáхꙋ си срáмь and covered (ʺboundʺ) their shame
104: ҆и по не-кои чáсь дойде бг҃ь and after some time God came
105: ҆и пойде низь раѧ ꙋ плáдне and He went into the Paradise at noon
106: ҆и чꙋхꙋ глáсь бж҃їи ҆като хо́деше and they heard the voice of God as He went about
107: ҆и скри́хꙋ се ꙋ сре́дь рáꙗ .:. ѿ лица бж҃иа and they hid themselves in the middle of the Paradise from the face of God
108: и прїзовà бг҃ь ҆áдáма and God called Adam
109: ҆и рече мꙋ and He said to him:
110: ҆áдаме гдѐ ҆есѝ ʺAdam, where are you?ʺ
111: ҆и ҆адáмь ре́че and Adam said:
112: гд͒и глáсь тво́й ꙋслишáхь като хо́деше по ра҆ꙗ́ ʺo Lord, I heard your voice as you went around the Paradiseʺ
113: ҆и ꙋбоꙗх͛ се ʺand I became afraidʺ
114: че смь го́ль ʺbecause I am nakedʺ
115: ҆и сàкри́х се ѿ срамь ʺand I hid myself out of shameʺ
116: ҆и ре́че ҆е́мꙋ бг҃ь and God said to him:
117: ҆áдаме ко́й тебе каза че сѝ го́ль ʺwho told you, Adam, that you are naked?ʺ
118: ҆áдамь хо́деше по рай (for) Adam walked in the Paradise
119: ҆и не мо́жеше да се се́ти че хо́ди го́ль за, срамь and he could not find out, that he walked naked for shame
120: но за товà ҆имь бе́ше заповедаль бг҃ь да не ҆ꙗ́дꙋть ѿ товà дрь́во разꙋмно but that was why God had commanded them not to eat from that wise tree
121: ҆и ҆ѡни престꙋпи́хꙋ запо́ведь бж҃їй and they transgressed the command of God
122: и ҆ꙗдохꙋ and they ate
123: пáки бг҃ь ре́че God said again:
124: ҆áдаме не лѝ ҆áзь те́бе заповедáхь да нѐ ҆ꙗ́дешь ѿ то҆ꙗ́ плодь ʺdid I not command you, Adam, not to eat from that fruit?ʺ
125: защо сѝ ҆ꙗ́ль ʺwhy did you eat?ʺ
126: ҆и ре́че ҆áдамь and Adam said:
127: женà мо҆ꙗ́ що си́ ми ю ти дáль ҆ѡ́на ми дáде ѿ то́й дрь́во ро́жбꙋ ʺmy woman, whom you did give me, she gave me the fruit of that treeʺ
128: ҆и ҆ꙗдохь ʺand I ateʺ
129: ҆и бг҃ꙋ ҆ꙗ́ко зле дойде and it was badly taken by God
130: ҆и́ рече ҆еви and He said to Eve:
131: же́но що сѝ товà сотвори́ла ʺwhy have you done it, woman?ʺ
132: ҆и ева ре́че and Eve said:
133: змїа прельсти́ ме ʺthe snake seduced meʺ
134: ҆и ҆ꙗдохь ʺand I ateʺ
135: тоги́ва ре́че бг҃ь then God said:
136: зми́ѡ прокле́та ти́ да бꙋ́дешь ѿ свї гадо́ве зе́млни ʺo snake, may you be accursed among the all vermin of the earthʺ
137: ҆и три клета да бꙋдешь ѿ свѝ ѕве́рове пол͛ски ʺand may you be thrice accursed among all the field animalsʺ
138: ҆и заврьзана да бꙋ́дешь ѿ сви пти́ци нб͒ниа ʺand may you be bound (?) from all the heavenly birdsʺ
҆и ѿ свѐ що е жи́во на зе́млю ʺand from everything, what lives on the Earthʺ
139: ҆и да се влачиш като чире́во по́ землю ʺand may you crawl on the ground like a wormʺ
140: ҆и землю да едеш догде́ си жи́ва ʺand may you eat the ground as long as you are aliveʺ
141: ҆и вражда да бꙋ́де междꙋ те́бе змїѡ ҆и междꙋ тебе же́но ʺand may there be hatred between you, snake, and you, womanʺ
142: ҆и междꙋ семенемь твоймь ѕми́ѡ ҆и междꙋ се́менемь твоймь же́но ʺ(and may there be hatred) between your seed, snake, and your seed, womanʺ
143: ҆á ѿ днесь до века ҆еви́ни че́да да зблю́щꙋть ѕми́ѡ твою̀ глáвꙋ ʺand from today, may the children of Eve look after your head (to crush it)ʺ
144: ҆и ти ѕми́ѡ да ꙋхáпешь е́вини че́да ꙋ пе́тꙋ ʺand you, snake, may bite the children of Eve in their heelʺ
да ҆ꙋмрꙋть ѿ те́бе ʺso that they die by youʺ
145: ҆и ҆ѡни те́бе каде́ те найдꙋть ҆и да те ҆ѡставꙋть жи́вꙋ ʺand wherever they find you and leave you aliveʺ
҆и ѡни прокле́ти да бꙋдꙋть ʺmay they be accursedʺ
146: после ҆и еви женѐ ре́че бг҃ь then God said to Eve the woman:
147: же́но бе́зь҆ꙋмна разꙋмей да ти продꙋ́мамь ʺo mindless woman, understand, (what) I say to you:ʺ
148: ꙋмно́жá҆ꙗ́ ꙋмножꙋ̀ жал͛бꙋ твою̀ ʺI will make your suffering greaterʺ
149: ҆и возди́ханїе твое да бꙋ́де до века ʺand may you moan foreverʺ
150: ҆и сась жал͛бꙋ да поро́дишь чáда ʺand may you give birth to children with sufferingʺ
151: ҆и мꙋжꙋ твоемꙋ да се поврь́не жáльба ѿ срдце твоѐ ʺand may the suffering of your heart comes back to your husbandʺ
152: ҆и ҆онь сáсь тебе заедно ► да жалите до́ века ʺand may he suffers with you together foreverʺ
153: най после ҆и ҆áдáмꙋ ре́че бг҃ь finally, he said also to Adam:
154: ти послꙋшà дꙋмꙋ на женꙋ твою̀ ʺyou have obeyed the word of your wifeʺ
155: ҆и ҆ꙗ́де ѿ дрьво щото ҆ꙗ́ заповедáхь ʺand you ate from the tree, (from) which I forbadeʺ
да не ҆ꙗ́дешь ѿ не́го ʺthat you (should) not eat from itʺ
156: ҆и ти пре́стꙋпи заповедь мою ʺand you transgressed my commandʺ
157: ҆и ҆ꙗ́де. ʺand you ateʺ
158: ѿ сего днѐ прокле́та землѧ да бꙋде рáбота тво҆ꙗ́ ʺfrom this day on, may the ground (of) your work be accursedʺ
159: ҆и сáсь мꙋкꙋ ҆и сáсь теготꙋ да печáлишь хи́жꙋ во всѧ: днѝ жи́вота тво҆его ʺand may you gain your house (?) in all days of your lifeʺ
160: трьнїе ҆и вольчець да збоде пе́ти ҆и рꙋце тво́й ʺmay thorns and thistles sting your heels and handsʺ
161: ҆и снеси трáвꙋ сел͛нꙋ ва до́мь тво́й ʺand you (shall?) bring grass of the field to your houseʺ
162: ҆и замань по́тно лицѐ твоѐ да бꙋ́де ʺand may your face will be always sweatyʺ
163: ҆и снеси хле́бь ва домꙋ твое́мь догде се. поврь́нешь вь зе́млю да ҅идешь ʺand you (will) bring bread in your house, until you return (ʺto goʺ) to the earthʺ
164: ѿ землю ꙋзеть ҆еси ʺyou are taken from the earthʺ
165: ҆и землꙗ̀ ҆есѝ ʺand you are earthʺ
166: паки́ ва зе́млю ҆ѡтиде́ши ʺyou will return to the earthʺ
167: ҆и наре́че ҆áдамь ҆име жене́ свое́й землѧ̀ and Adam gave his wife the name ʺEarthʺ
168: защо е земл҆ꙗ́ майкꙗ на све що е жи́во на земли по́д небесà because the Earth is the mother of everything alive on the ground under the heavens
169: вознеси́ се гд͒и силою твое́ю o Lord, may you arise in your power!
170: сотворѝ бг҃ь ҆адамꙋ ҆и на ◄ женꙋ неговꙋ ризи ѿ кожꙋ God made for Adam and his wife leather shirts
171: й ѡбле́че ги and He clothed them
172: ҆и ре́че бг҃ь and God said:
173: ҅ете ʺbehold!ʺ
174: ҆áдамь би́сть, като ҆еди́нь ѿ нáсь щото бе́ше разꙋме́ль ҆и добро̀ ҆и зло ʺAdam became like one of us, having understood both good and evilʺ
175: ҆á ѿ сьга вече да нѐ прꙋжи рꙋкꙋ свою̀ да ꙋзме ѿ товà дрь́во да ҆еде ҆и жи́вь да бꙋ́де во ве́ки ʺfrom now on, he (will?) not extend his hand to take from that tree to eat and to live foreverʺ
176: товà ре́че гд͒ь thus said the Lord
177: и їскарá го бг҃ь ҆изь рáйа слáдостни да иде да рабо́ти землю and God expelled him from the sweet Paradise to work the earth
178: защо́ е ѿ зе́млю ҆ꙋзеть because he was taken from the earth
179: ҆и ҆изринꙋ ҆ада-ма нáдворь and He expelled Adam outside
180: ҆и васели́ го пре́дь рáꙗ слáдостни and He settled him in front of the sweet Paradise
181: ҆и на врáта та райски поставѝ .:. бг҃ь ше́стокрилáтаго ҆аг҃гела and to the gates of Paradise God placed a six-winged angel
182: ҆и даде мꙋ ҆ѡрꙋ́жие ҆ѡгнꙗ́но ҆и ҆ѡстро and He gave him a fiery and sharp weapon
да чꙋ́ва пꙋть щото ꙋлáзи ꙋ рáй бж҃їй so that he guards the way leading to the God's Paradise
да нѐ вни́де нї единь чл҃ве́кь гре́шень ꙋ рáй бж҃їи до́ веки so that not a single sinful man enters the Paradise forever
183: ҆ами́нь amen
184: Коги пойде ҆адáмь по землю ҆ѡнь позна. ҆е́вꙋ женꙋ̀ свою̀ че беше заче́ла ꙋ се́бе дете as Adam walked the Earth, he found that his wife Eva was pregnant with a child
185: ҆и ро́ди си́на and she gave birth to a son
186: ҆и наре́коха мꙋ̀ ҆име кáйнь and they gave him the name Cain
187: ҆и ре́че ҆áдáмь and Adam said:
188: спечали́хь чл҃века ѿ семе мое бг҃а рáди ʺI gained a man from my seed for the sake of Godʺ
189: но да бꙋде во́лꙗ бж҃иа да ро́дим ҆ѡще ҆едно́го си́на ʺbut if God wills, may I beget one more sonʺ
190: ҆и приложи and he put (?)
191: ҆и роди кáйнꙋ брáта and she gave birth to a brother of Cain
192: ҆и не́мꙋ наре́че ҆áдамь ҆име ҆áве́ль .:. and Adam gave him the name Abel
193: ҆и послà ҆áдáмь си́на ҆áве́лꙗ да бꙋ́де пастир по ҆ѡвци and Adam sent his son Abel to be a shepherd of sheep
194: ҆á кайнь прь́ви си́нь ҆áдамо́вь да рáботи зе́млю and Cain, the first son of Adam, was to work the ground
195: ҆и по некол͛ко днѝ принѐсе кайнь ѿ пло́да зе́мли мл҃твꙋ бг҃ꙋ and after some days Cain brought a sacrifice to God from the fruit of the ground
196: ҆и авел прине́се ҆и то́й ѿ прьворо́днꙋю ҆ѡв͛цꙋ ҆ꙗ́гне ѿ печал͛вꙋ прь́внꙋю and also Abel brought a lamb from a firstling sheep, from his first gains
197: ҆и призре бг҃ь на ҆авел҆ꙗ́ ҆и на дар͛бꙋ него́вꙋ and God looked with favor upon Abel and his offering
198: ҆á на кайна ҆и на мл҃твꙋ него́вꙋ ҆и не погле́днꙋ бг҃ь but He did not even look at Cain and his sacrifice
199: ҆и ҆ѡскрьби́ се каин and Cain became sorrowful
200: ҆ꙗ́ко ҆испáде мꙋ лїце and his face fell down
201: ҆и стáнꙋ сꙋхь на ҆ѡбрáзь and he became dry in face
202: ҆и ре́че бг҃ь кайнꙋ and God said to Cain:
203: що си́ тол͛ко: скрь́бень кайне ʺwhy are you so sad, o Cain?ʺ
204: ҆и защо́ е спáдло лицѐ твое ʺand why is your face so fallen down?ʺ
205: гле́дай ʺlookʺ
206: мислѝ ти не сѝ с правдꙋ прине́ль, мл҃твꙋ твою̀ ʺthink, (that) you have not bring your prayer in truthʺ
207: ҆и прáво не де́лишь ʺyou do not separate it justlyʺ
208: ꙋмлькни, ʺbe quietʺ
209: те́бе да сꙋ́ди брáть тво́й ʺmay your brother judge youʺ
210: ҆и ти него дà слꙋ́шашь ʺand you hear himʺ
211: гд͒и призрѝ на ме́не o Lord, look at me
212: ҆и помилꙋи ме and give me mercy
213: Послꙋ́шаите брáте hear, o brother(s)!
214: ҆и разꙋмейте and understand!
215: ре́че. кайнь ҆áве́лю брáтꙋ своемꙋ Cain said to his brother Abel:
216: пойди, брáте да ѝдемо на по́ле ʺcome, o brother, let us go the fieldʺ
217: когѝ ҆излезохꙋ на по́ле стáнꙋ кайнь на ҆авелꙗ брата свое́го when they went out to the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother
218: ҆и ꙋби го and he killed him
219: защо не щеꙗ̀ бг҃ь да бл҃госло́ви него́вꙋ тꙋ мл҃твꙋ because God did not want to bless his prayer
220: та ҆ꙋби брата си, so he killed his brother
221: ҆и ре́че бг҃ь кайнꙋ and God said to Cain:
222: гдѐ ҆есть ҆áве́ль брáть тво́й ʺwhere is your brother Abel?ʺ
223: ҆á ѡ́нь ре́че but he said:
224: не знам ʺI don't knowʺ
225: ҆и не хо́димь да бꙋ́дем стрáжь брáтꙋ моемꙋ ҆áзь ʺI don't go to guard my brotherʺ
226: пáки ре́че бг҃ь God said again:
227: що сѝ товá зло́ сотвори́ль ҆и крь́ви брáтꙋ тво́емꙋ на земли пролиà ʺwhy did you do that evil and spilled the blood of your brother on the ground?ʺ
228: ѿ сьга прокле́ть тѝ на земли да бꙋ́дешь ʺfrom now on, may you be accursed on the Earthʺ
229: защо̀ ҆ѡтворѝ землꙗ ꙋ-ста сво́й ʺbecause the Earth opened its mouthʺ
230: ҆и погль́нꙋ крьви брáтꙋ тво́емꙋ ѿ рꙋ́кꙋ твою̀ ʺand it devoured the blood of your brother, (spilled) by your handʺ
231: ҆и да рабо́тишь зе́млю ʺand may you work the soilʺ
232: ҆и землꙗ̀ да нѐ даде си́лꙋ ҆и плодь сво́й до си́тось те́бе ʺand may the soil does not give you its power and fruit to satisfy youʺ
233: сте́нꙗ̀и ʺmoan!ʺ
234: ҆и треси́ се ʺand tremble!ʺ
235: ҆и мꙋкꙋ ҆име́й догдѐ жи́вь бꙋ́деши на земли ʺand be tormented, until you are alive on the Earthʺ
236: чꙋете ли хр͒тиáни какво бл͒глови бг҃ь ро́дь ҆áдáмовь do you hear, o Christians, how God blesses Adam's offspring?
237: послѐ ре́че кайнь бг҃ꙋ then Cain said to God:
238: гд͒и ҆áзь видо́хь кри́вдинꙋ мою̀ ʺo Lord, I saw my faultʺ
239: ѿ сьга ҆ѡстáвꙗм се вечѐ да нѐ сотво́римь таково зло ʺfrom now on, I abstain from doing such an evil againʺ
240: ҆áко ли́ ме ҆изго́нишь ѿ лицѐ зе́мли ҆и ѿ лицà твоего̀ ʺif you cast me away from the face of Earth and from your faceʺ
а ҆ꙗ́ ще́мь да се скри́емь ѿ стрáхь ʺI will hide myself from fearʺ
241: ҆и хо́щемь тоги́ва стенꙗ́ти ҆и трести́ се ʺand then I will moan and trembleʺ
242: ҆и хо́че све́ки кой ме найде да мѐ ꙋби́еть ʺand everyone, who finds me, would kill meʺ
243: ҆и ре́че бг҃ь кайнꙋ and God said to Cain:
244: не тако̀ све́ки да ꙋби́ет кайна ʺ(I do) not (want it) so, that everyone would kill Cainʺ
245: се́дмь зáповеди ѿстави бг҃ь God gave seven commands (?)
246: ҆и положѝ, бг҃ь знаме́нїе на каина and God put a sign on Cain
247: кой го наїде да го не ꙋби́е (so that) whoever finds him, will not kill him
248: гд͒ь кре́пость дáсть люде́мь своим the Lord gives strength to His people
249: ҆и паки ре́че бг҃ь кайнꙋ and God again said to Cain:
250: си́не мо́й мꙋдрости разꙋме́и ʺmy son, understand wisdomʺ
251: ҆и на дꙋ́ми те мо́й прїклони ꙋхо твоѐ да се наꙋ́чишь ми́сль: бл҃гꙋ ʺand turn your ear to my words, so that you learn good thoughtsʺ
252: ҆и не приложѝ жен͛скꙋ бл҃гꙋ дꙋ́мꙋ на твое срдце ʺand do not take nice words from a woman to your heartʺ
253: защо̀ ҆изь жен͛ски ҆ꙋста бл҃гь ме́дь кáпе ʺbecause from woman's mouth honey dropsʺ
254: ҆и ꙋслад͛ва грь́ло твое ʺand it sweetens your throatʺ
255: по́сле гор͛чи като̀ жльчь ҆и пели́нь ʺbut then it becomes bitter as bile and wormwoodʺ
256: ҆и Вь то́ѧ де́нь сотворѝ бг҃ь ҆áдáма ◄ по ҆образꙋ бж҃ию and in that day God created Adam in the divine image
257: ҆и бл҃гослови́ гѡ and He blessed him
258: ҆и ви́де ҆áдамь се́бе хꙋбавь and Adam saw himself beautiful
259: ҆и живе ҆áдáмь две́ сте ҆и три́ десеть го́дини and Adam lived for 230 years
260: ҆и роди сн҃а по свою̀ прили́кꙋ какво́то се́бе ви́ди ҆и по ҆о́брáзꙋ сво́емꙋ хꙋбавь and he gave birth to a son looking similar as he sees himself, and beautiful in his image
261: ҆и нарече ҆имѐ емꙋ сиѳь and he gave him the name Seth
262: ҆и по си́ѳа ро́ди дрꙋ́ги си́ни ҆и дь́щери and after Seth he gave birth to other sons and daughters
263: ҆и поживѐ ҆áдáмь де́веть † стотинь ҆и три десеть години and Adam lived for 930 years
264: ҆и ꙋмре and he died
265: по ҆адама ҆ѡ́станꙋ си́нь него́вь сиѳь after Adam his son Seth remained
266: поживѐ две́ сте ҆и петь го́дини he lived for 205 years
267: ҆и родѝ ҆ено́са ҆и дрꙋги си́ни ҆и дь́щери and he gave birth to Enos and other sons and daughters
268: ҆и би́хꙋ † свѝ дни́ си́ѳови де́веть сто́тин ҆и два десеть го́дини and all the days of Seth were 920 years
269: ҆и ꙋмре and he died
270: по си́ѳа ҆ѡстанꙋ ҆ено́сь after Seth Enos remained
271: ҆и пожи́ве ҆ено́сь сто̀ и девет десе́ть го́дини and Enos lived for 190 years
272: ҆и родѝ ҆ено́сь кайнáна ҆и дрꙋ́ги си́ни ҆и дь́щери and Enos gave birth to Kenan and other sons and daughters
273: ҆и нáврьши ҆енос † свѝ днѝ до живо́ть деветь стотин ҆и петь го́дини and Enos reached all the days of life (in) 905 years
274: ҆и ꙋмре, and he died
275: по ено́са ѡстанꙋ кайнань си́нь ҆еносовь after Enos, Kenan, the son of Enos, remained
276: ҆и поживе кайнань ле́та сто̀ ҆и седмь десеть and Kenan lived for 170 years
277: ҆и родѝ кайнань мелелейла ҆и дрꙋги, си́ни ҆и дьщери and Kenan gave birth to Mahalalel and other sons and daughters
278: ҆и би́хꙋ сви дни кайнáнови † ле́та деветь сто́тинь ҆и десет and all the days of Kenan were 910 years
279: ҆и ꙋмре and he died
280: ҆и по кайнана ҆ѡстанꙋ мелелейль си́нь каинáновь and after Kenan, Mahalalel, son of Kenan, remained
281: ҆и поживѐ мелелейль ле́та сто ҆и шес десеть ҆и петь. and Mahalalel lived for 165 years
догдѐ ро́ди ҆иареда ҆и дрꙋги си́ни ҆и дь́щери until he gave birth to Jared and other sons and daughters
282: ҆и поживѐ мелелейль сви́ днї † него́ви ле́та ҆ѡсмь сто́тинь ҆и девет десе́ть ҆и пе́ть and Mahalalel lived through all of his days (in) 895 years
283: ҆и ꙋмре, and he died
284: ҆и̇ по малеле́йла ҆ѡстáнꙋ жи́вь ҆иаредь and after Mahalalel Jared remained alive
285: ҆и поживѐ лета сто̀ ҆и шес десе́ть ҆и двѐ and he lived for 162 years
286: ҆и ро́ди енѡ́ха ҆и дрꙋ́ги си́ни ҆и дьщери and he gave birth to Enoch and other sons and daughters
287: ҆и бихꙋ свѝ днѝ ҆иаре́дови де́веть сто́тинь ҆и † шес десе́ть ҆и две годинь and all the days of Jared were 962 years
288: и ꙋмре. and he died
289: ҆и по ҆иаре́да ҆ѡстанꙋ ҆енохь and after Jared, Enoch remained
290: ҆и поживе ле́та сто ҆и шес десеть ҆и пе́ть and he lived for 165 years
291: ҆и ҆ѡжени́ се and he married
292: ҆и родѝ маѳꙋсала ҆и дрꙋги си́ни ҆и дьщери and he gave birth to Methuselah and other sons and daughters
293: ҆и ꙋгѡдни ҆енѡͯь бг҃ꙋ and Enoch (was) pleasing to God
294: ҆и би́хꙋ сви днѝ ҆енѡͯѡви ле́та три́ ста ҆и шес десе́ть ҆и пе́ть and all the days of Enoch were 365 years
295: ҆и ꙋгоди енѡͯь бг҃ꙋ and Enoch was pleasing to God
296: ҆и бл҃гослови́ го мл͒тив бг҃ь and the merciful God blessed him
297: ҆и рече and He said:
298: творѝ си́не що тѝ ҆áзь заповедꙋемь да сп͒и́шь дш҃ꙋ твою ʺo son, do what I command you, so that you save your soulʺ
299: не мислї да тво́ришь зло ʺdo not think of doing evilʺ
300: ни поменѝ ко́й чинї безаконїе ʺnor take heed of those, who commit lawlessnessʺ
301: но на дш҃ꙋ свою̀ ҆ꙋгождáй ʺbut care for your soulʺ
302: томꙋ пáметь тво́римь to him we do our rememberance
303: бг҃ꙋ же нашемꙋ [слáва] === and praise be to God
