8:	ʾi béše ʾóna smīrena ʾi krótka ʾi bg̃u boʾjázlïva ʾi dobroʾumna	and she was peaceful and calm and God-fearing and charming

14:	ʾi ʾwšte ʾimaxu stóka mlógo	and they also had a lot of cattle

28:	ʾi posedéxu dvà trí dnì	and they sat (there) for 2-3 days

30:	ʾi stígnáxu do pláninu deto ʾimь béše stóka ta	and they came to the hills, where their cattle was (stationed)

48:	ʾi wno ʾōtíde góre na pláninu	and the child (ʺitʺ) left upwards to the hills
49:	kakvo go vidóxu braikja ta mu če dóĭde, pri níxь ʾwni wt játь stanúxu, katò ludi	as his brothers saw him coming to them, they became angry as madmen
50:	ʾizbráxu se petína ta braĭkja náedno	the five brothers assembled themselves
51:	ʾi dogováraxu se kakvò da učinatь sasь ʾiʾwsifa	and they discussed what to do with Joseph
52:	ʾedínь wt níxь. réče	one of them said:
53:	ʾeláte bráte da umórimo togova ne čéstíva iʾwsifa	ʺbrothers, let's kill that honorless Josephʺ

64:	tako e dobrè va ʾistinu da gò frь´limo u nékoę propast da go ʾizedútь divì źverove	ʺit is really good to throw him to an abyss, so that he'll be eaten by wild beastsʺ

67:	ʾi sasь bž͂iémь povelénïemь pade ïósifь na dnò u wnajá propastь	and, by God's permission, Joseph fell down to the abyss' floor

89:	gd͒ne nïja ʾimamo góre na pláninu stóka mlógo	ʺsir, we have a lot of cattle up in the hillsʺ
90:	ʾi jun͛ci ʾi krávi ʾi wv͛ci ʾi ʾwvni ʾi kozi ʾi mьski ʾi svékakva stóka ʾimamo mlógo	ʺwe have calves and cows and sheep and rams and goats and mules and a lot of any cattle tooʺ
91:	ʾi prodávamo	ʺand we sellʺ
92:	ʾi trьgovci te rékoxu	and the traders said:
93:	čedo ʾelà da ni zavedeš pri stóka ta váša	ʺchild, come and lead us to your cattleʺ
94:	ʾi wnovà dete gi. zavéde pri stóka ta ʾi pri braĭkja ta si	and that child led them to the cattle and his brothers
95:	ʾi wni kakvó go vidóxu če e ʾwšte žívo wt ʾjátь ʾi wt źlь míslь, ʾi znemogóxu	and as they were paralyzed by anger and evil thoughts as they saw that he is still alive
96:	ʾi xódexu katò mrь´tvi	and they walked as dead
97:	ʾi trьgovci te gi popitáxu za stoku	and the traders asked for cattle
98:	ʾá wni ne mísléxu kakvò stoku: da si prodadutь	but they didn't think of selling cattle
99:	nelò misléxu kákvo ʾiʾwsifa da prodadútь	for they decided (ʺthoughtʺ) to sell Joseph
100:	ʾi proda-doxa go	and they sold him
101:	kupíxa go ʾwnia trьgov͛ci	those traders bought him
102:	ʾi ukačíxa go na kónь	and they put him on a horse
103:	ʾi zanesoxa go dole kadeto sl̃nce to ʾističa va zemlju egípetskuju	and they carried him down to the land of Egypt, where the sun rises
104:	ʾi zanésoxa go u edínь grad	and they brought him to one city
105:	ʾi prodádoxa gò	and they sold him
106:	kupi go edínь človékь bolʾjárinь gd͒arь golémь	one man bought him, a boyar, a great lord
107:	ʾi zavéde si gò na domь svói	and he brought him to his house
108:	ʾi vide ʾwnja gd͒arь ʾwnova detè kakvó e jáko xubavo na ʾwbrázь	and that lord saw that the child was very nice looking
109:	ʾi ʾjáko mu se rádvaše	and he was very happy for him
110:	ʾi wble-če go svè u svíleni dréxi	and he clothed him in nice clothes only
111:	ʾi čuvá gʾw ʾwnja gd͒arь	and that lord raised him
112:	ʾi gledá go	and he cared for him
113:	ʾi poráste ʾiʾwsifь kol͛ko do ʾwsmь na desetь godini	and Joseph grew up to 18 years
114:	ʾi negóvь gd͒arь poĭde da ĭde po svoju trьgovínu	and his lord left for his trade

120:	ʾi blázneše go	and she gave him foolish requests
121:	ʾi dumaše mu	and was saying to him:
122:	ʾelá iʾwsife da spímo naedno	ʺcome, Joseph, let's sleep togetherʺ
	ʾi mal͛ko da se pošegúvamo	ʺlet's have some funʺ
123:	a ʾiʾwsifь ne štel	but Joseph didn't want to
124:	ʾi ne slušaše noʿina ta dúma	he didn't listen to her word
125:	ʾá wna go nikakvo ne ostavaše	but she wouldn't let him
126:	ʾi paki dúmaše mu ʾwnaę gd͒arka	and that lady spoke to him again

139:	ʾi sasь zlò fánu go za pólu	and she seized him by his skirt by evil
	da gò prívleče sasь sílu ná sebe	to bring him upon herself with force
140:	tólьko ju béše razžéglь bésь	so much did the devil made her burn (with lust)
141:	ʾi kato go béše fanula za dréxu da go. privléče sásь sílu ʾá ʾwnъ skóči da béga	but as she seized him by his clothes to pull him by force he jumped to run
142:	ʾá wná go trьgnu za dréxa ta	but she pulled him by his clothes
143:	ʾi wnь ʾizvrьnu ruke na nazádь	and he turned his hands back
144:	ʾi sobléče mu se drexa wt grьbínu	and his clothes was put off from his back
145:	ʾi gospodar͛ka negóva uze mu drexa ta	and his mistress took his clothes
146:	ʾi skutá ju u kov͛čagь	and she hid it in a chest
147:	ʾiʾwosifь begà	Joseph ran
148:	ʾi po nekol͛ko dnì dóĭde ʾwnja go-spodárь na dómь svóĭ	and after few days that lord came back home
149:	ʾi pogleda za iʾwsifa	and he looked for Joseph
150:	ʾi ne možè da go vídi da mu xódi po dvoróve	and he couldn't see him walking in the yards
151:	ʾi pita si: stopánicu	and he asked his wife

153:	kudé e ʾiʾwsifь da mì donesè mal͛ko vódu da se napíemь	ʺwhere is Joseph to bring me some water for a drink?ʺ

155:	stopanïne móĭ taká li e xubavo	ʺmy husband, is that nice so?ʺ
156:	ti ʾōtide po svojù trьgovinu da trьgúvašь	ʺyou go for your trade (ʺto tradeʺ)ʺ
157:	ʾá iʾwsifa ʾwstavi da mì slugu-va	ʺand you leave Joseph to serve meʺ
158:	ʾá ʾwnь dóĭde na méne sásь sïlu da mè ʾwbležì	ʺand he came to me, to lie with me by forceʺ

170:	ʾi naklevéti iʾwsifa na cr̃a faraona	and he reported Joseph to the king Pharaoh
171:	ʾi cr̃ь puštì slugi	and the king sent (his) servants

	štoto služéše vinò sásь čášu: cr̃u na trьpézu	who served wine in (ʺwithʺ) a cup to king at the table
180:	na tía tri slu-gi naĭde cr̃ь maxaná	the king found a reason to suspect these three servants
181:	ʾi zatvóri gi u temnícu pri iʾw´sifa	and he imprisoned them to a dungeon next to Joseph
182:	ʾi pole-žáxu nekol͛ko dní	and they laid for a few days
183:	ʾi u ednà nóštь sьnuváxu edínь sь´nь grozenь	and in one night they had a terrible dream
184:	ʾi kogí se razbudíxu ʾá wní si dúmaxu meždu sébe	and as they woke up, they spoke to each other
185:	ʾi misléxu kakovь šte da bude toʾjá sьnь	and thought, what kind of dream could that be
186:	ʾi ne možéxu dá se sétatь	and they couldn't guess
187:	ʾi kazáxu ʾiʾwsifu	and they said to Joseph
188:	ʾi wn ʾimь réče	and he told them:
189:	toja sь´nь što stè viʾjá sьnuváli to štè da bude krьvь	ʺthat dream, which you dreamt, means (ʺwill beʺ) bloodʺ
190:	taja noštь da sè sьmne xoče cr̃ь: da práti џalátina da poseče va͒ dvoĭca ʾáxčíju tu ʾi xlebára	ʺthis night, after the sunset, the king will send an executioner to kill you two, the cook and the bakerʺ
191:	ʾi ʾwnï siromási pláčexu	and they, poor ones, cried
192:	kogí se sьmnu. doĭde џalátinь	after the sunset, the executioner came
193:	ʾizvéde ʾáxčiju ʾi xlebara	he took the cook and the baker
194:	ʾi poséče gi	and he executed them
195:	a vinára ʾwstanu žívь	but he left the wine tender alive
196:	ʾá iwsifь mu se móleše	and Joseph begged him
197:	ʾi dumaše mu	and said to him:
198:	bráte cr̃ь xoče tébe da ʾwprósti páki da mu slugúvašь	ʺbrother, the king will free you, so that you can serve him againʺ
	sasь čášu vino na trьpézu	ʺwith a cup of wine at the tableʺ

202:	ʾi ʾwprostì cr̃ь vinara	and the king acquitted the wine tender
203:	ʾi ʾōtide páki da mu sluguva vïno sásь čášu na trьpézu	and he left to serve him wine with a cup at the table again
204:	ʾi u edna. nóštь sьnuvà cr̃ь edínь sьnь kato če su ʾizlézli tri kamíli ʾizь moré to	and one night the king dreamt about three camels coming out of the sea

206:	ʾi pomisli cr̃ь da se seti samь na toja sь´nь	and the king thought to explain the meaning of that dream by himself
207:	ʾi ne možè da se seti	and he couldn't explain (it)
208:	no povele da se zberutь svì: negovi gd͒are vezíre ʾi knezove ʾi voivodi ʾi kadïi ʾi nastoĭnici ʾi svi. boljáre cr͂ovi	so he commanded all his lords, vezirs and princes and generals and qadis and governors and all boyars of the king to assemble
209:	ʾizbráxu se sví te† cr̃u u dvorove	all of them assembled at the royal court
210:	ʾi složíxu trьpézu cr͒ku kakvóto e cr̃u prilíčno	and they prepared a table as it is worthy of a king
211:	ʾi ʾjádoxu xlébь	and they ate bread
212:	ʾi sluga ta cr̃eva ʾimъ služeše sásь čášu vino na trьpezu	and the king's servant served them a cup of wine at the table
213:	ʾi cr̃ь produmà	and the king spoke out:
214:	čuĭte svì. boljáre móĭ da vi kážemь nešto. ʾi vïe wtvetь da mì dadete	ʺhear (me), all of you, my boyars, I('ll) tell you something and you('ll) answerʺ
215:	ʾi réče: cr̃ь	and the king said:
216:	ja u ednà nóštь edínь sьnь sьnuvaxь kato če su ʾizlezli tri kamíli ʾizь moré to ʾi pošlí su da izedutь trávu po svь st̃ь ʾi po svu drьžávu moju	ʺI had a dream one night: three camels went out of the sea and ate (all) the grass in the whole world and the whole of my domainʺ

224:	tьkmo edínь čl̃vekь ʾima-še u temnícu zatvórenь kogi: bex͛mo nïę zatvórenī tamo pri, nego	ʺthere was only one man in the dungeon, as we were imprisoned there with himʺ
