7: ta si palexu kata večerь kan͛dilce and they lit a candle lamp in the night
8: ta imь prosvetvaše dogdé se prekr͒tatь ʾi pomolatь se bg̃u and they felt better as soon as they crossed themselves and prayed to God
9: kogi edínь denь sprotì st̃uju parasvéѵu ʾōtidoxu na pazarь One day, before Saint Parascheva, they went to the market
10: ta si kupíxu maslo ʾi vosokь ʾi ѳimianь and bought themselves oil, wax and incense
11: ʾi prigotvíxu si što ĭmь trebe da idutь u cr̃ьkvu and prepared what they needed to go to the church
12: ʾá drugi pétь ženì béxu boljarki and other five women were boyars
13: ʾá tia sirotíci te ʾōtidoxu pri boljar͛ki te da gi pódьkanatь da ĭdutь ʾi ʾwni u cr̃kvu and these paupers went to the boyars to urge them too to go to the church
14: ʾá boljarki te ʾimь rékoxu and the boyars said to them:
15: vie ʾidete u cr̃kvu ʺYou go to the churchʺ
16: zašto čékate nasь ʺWhy are you waiting for us?ʺ
17: nie kogi stá šeme nie štemè doʿiti ʺWhen we want to get up, we will goʺ
18: ʾi wnïę sirotíci požálixu kato imь deknáxu boljárki te And these paupers regreted it when the boyars scolded them
19: ʾi wtidoxu si doma and they went home
20: ʾi uzexu si potrebiju and they took their utensils
21: ʾi wtidóxu u cr̃kvu and they went to the church
22: ʾi prïidoxu predь st̃ię ʾikoni and they went in front of the holy icons
23: ʾi ukrasíxu si kan͛dilca and they adorned their candle lamps
24: ʾi zapalíxu si sś͂ici and they lit candles
25: ʾi uzexu broiníčki and they took rosaries
26: ʾi víkatь and they say:
27: gd͒i pomilui ʺLord, have mercy!ʺ
28: ʾi mólat se bg̃u ʾedinomu And they pray to the one God
29: po nekoi čásь doĭdóxu ʾi wnïę ženï bolʾjárki te At some time those women boyars came too
30: ʾi kogi poĭdoxu wt dw´ma si wt góleminjù ne uzexù si maslo and when they went out of their home, they did not take oil from the rich woman
31: ʾwni míslexu wt sirotici te da uzmatь máslo they thought of taking oil from the paupers
32: ʾi rékoxu búini te na mudri te And the foolish ones said to the wise ones:
33: daĭte ʾi namь wt masló to váše ʺGive us too from your oilʺ
34: zaštò su kan͛díla ta naši ugasnuli ʺFor our candle lamps went outʺ
35: ʾá mudri te se ʾwbrьnaxu And the wise ones turned around
36: ʾi rekoxu ĭmь and said to them:
37: ete ʺHereʺ
38: ʾi namь ne dososa ʺWe are out of it tooʺ
39: ʾi nikakь ni ne ʾwstanu ʺand we have nothing leftʺ
40: ʾidíte na pazárь ʺGo to the marketʺ
41: ʾi kupete sébe maslo wt gdéto se prodáva ʺand buy yourselves oil from where it is soldʺ
42: ʾi wni se povrьnuxu da ĭdu na pazarь da sì kupatь maslo And they went back to go to the market to buy themselves oilʺ
43: ʾi prïidoxu gdeto se pródava and they went where it is sold
44: ʾi zatvóreni bixu vrata and the doors were closed
45: ʾi ne možéxu da sì kupatь maslo and they could not buy oil
46: ʾi wstanaxu ĭmь svetil͛nici ugasnuli and their candle lamps stayed unlit
47: ni možéxu da se bg̃u pomólatь They could not pray to God
48: ʾi ōtidoxu si doma grížnï and they went home worried
49: ʾi vozdremaxu and they dozed off
50: ʾi spáxu do polunošti and they slept until midnight
51: ʾi razbudíxu se and they woke up
52: ʾi stanáxu posle and then they got up
53: ĭ doĭdoxu ʾi drugi te ženi and the other women came too
54: ʾi dumaxu ʾimь and spoke to them:
55: rečéte ʺSay:ʺ
56: gd͒i gd͒i ʾōtvori namь vrata ʾōtvori ʺO Lord, o Lord, open the door to us!ʺ
57: ʾá bg̃ь im prodúma And God spoke to them:
58: ʾámínь ʾámínь, ʺAmen! Amen!ʺ
59: dumamь vam ʺI say to youʺ
60: ʾi ne vídimь, vasь ʺAnd I do not see youʺ
61: umisléte se dobre ʺthink wellʺ
62: zaštò ne vídite vie ní denь nì časь kakvo vámь sьmrь´tь prixoditь, vь ʾónь že sínь čl̃veski prïdetь ʺFor you do not see neither the day nor the hour when death comes upon you and wherein the Son of man comesʺ
63: takóva bg̃ь produma na buini te, ženì Thus spoke God to the foolish women
64: zašto takói upisáxu st̃ii pr͒róci ʾi ʾáp͒toli ʾi st̃i prpbni. ʾóc͂i for thus wrote teh holy prophets and apostles and the saint reverent fathers
65: vídite li kakvo namь kazuva st̃oe právilo Do you see what the holy rule tells us?
66: ʾáko budešь ʾimotenь boljárinь ne podnosí se ʺIf you are a wealthy boyar, do not be superciliousʺ
