7: rodítele noíni ne béxu bogati Her parents weren't rich
8: ne maxu ni srebro ni zláto they had neither silver, nor gold
9: i takoi wskudno provóždaxu dni te svóĭ and so meekly they passed their days
10: a st̃aę paraskéva doraste sьvrьšéna devíca But St Parascheva grew up (becoming) an perfect maiden
11: i sasь pamet se utvrьdì and she strengthened herself by her mind
12: i potegli ju srdce da živuva sasь ʾaggeli and her heart strove her to live with angels
13: ʾi wstavi baštu i maĭku ʾi drugi sródnici sve što bexu u mírь and she left father and mother and other relatives, all who were in the world
14: ʾi poĭde po xr͒ta and went with Christ
15: ʾi ʾjáko dobru mislь na pámetь svóĭ privéde and she brought a very good thought to her mind
16: ʾi ōtide u pustinju and she went to the desert
17: ʾi sedeše tamo bez níkakvu grižu and she sat there without any concern
18: tьkmo moleše se bg͂u she only prayed to God
19: ʾi denь ʾi noštь ʾi stoeše na bdenïe and for day and night she stood aware
20: ʾi telo to svoe wt stoʾjáne sušeše and her body dried up from the staying (awake)
21: ʾi ne videše ʾwna ʾjástia ʾi pitie and she saw no food nor drink
22: no beše nóĭ Brášno ʾi gozba slь´zi ʾi neprestani ml͂tvi but tears and perpetual prayers where her flour and feast
23: takoi ʾwna na toę st̃ь životuvaše thus she lived in this world
24: ʾi sama ʾu pustu goru sedeše and she sat alone on a deserted mountain
25: ʾi dobre umь svoi prosvéti- and she enlightened her mind well
26: ʾi ni za ednu pečal͛bu mirsku pomišlь ʾimaše and she had no thought of any worldly gain
27: tьkmo za bg͂a mísleše she thought merely about God
28: ʾi svu nošt po putišta kameni xodeše- bosa and for whole night he went on stony roads barefoot
30: ʾi edno vreme vide če ju se: priblížva wtxoždenïe na nb̃sa and one (day) she saw that the departure to Heaven is closing
31: ʾi ustavì pustinju and she left the desert
32: ʾi ōtide u cr͂igrad ʾi st̃ie mésta and went to Constantinople and the holy places
33: poče da ʾwbíxódi kade i xarek͛še tamo da sedi She began to travel about, anywhere she liked, to sit there
34: ʾi tamo mal͛ko nešto posede and she sit there for a while
35: ʾi predáde bláženuju svoju dš̃u vь ruce bž͂ïi: and gave her blessed soul to the divine hands
36: ʾi počestь ʾi venécь wt bg͂a uze and took the honor and laurels from God
37: ʾi uluči se u tova vreme and (thus) happened in this time
38: beše umrelь ʾedinь čl͂vekь gemiџïę one man, a sailor, had died
39: ʾi bexa go, zakopáli blízu pri edinь stlь´pь: cr͂kovni and they buried him close to a pillar of a church
40: ʾi tamo smrádь ʾizlazeše wt ʾónja gróbь and a lot of stench went out of that grave
41: nikoi ne móžeše da pomíne po putь wt wnova télo nobody could pass by the way because of that body
42: ʾi proreče ʾedínь duxóvnikь and one priest spoke out:
43: tova, telo da móžete da go ʾizvadite ʾw stlьpo da go pogrebéte dlьboko ʺcould you remove that body from (under) the pillar, and to bury it deeply,ʺ
da ne ʾizlazi tol͛kova smradь wt nego ʺso that there isn't so much stench coming out of itʺ
44: ʾi edni čl͂veci prïidoxu and some people came
45: ʾi ʾi-zvadíxu ʾwnja trupь wt tamo and removed that corpse from there
46: ʾi zakopaxa go blizu pri teló to st̃ei paraskévi and buried him close to the body of St Parascheva
47: ʾi vidóxu tova telo: stóĭ celo samo ukrepléno ʾi sovrьšeno i zdrávo and they saw the body stays as a whole, self-sustaining and perfect and healthy
48: ʾi počudíxu se and they wondered (about it)
49: ʾi porazumexu and they understood
50: ʾi produmáxu si meždu sébe and said to each other:
51: da e toʾjá trupь nekoi st̃o: télo bilò ʺeven if this corpse was a holy bodyʺ

60: čl͂veče ne boiši li se ti wt bg͂a ʺO man, don't you fear God (at all)?ʺ [CS!]
61: ne vídiš li tovà telo če e gnílo ʾi smrьdéšto ʺdon't you see that this body is rotten and stinking?ʺ
62: ʾi pogrebóste go pri telo to bž͂ija rábi paraskeѵi ʺand you've buried it next to the body of the God's servant Parascheva?!ʺ [CS!]
63: no skoro ʾidi (Parascheva said:) ʺWell, go quicklyʺ
64: ʾi prikáži na sví te tvoĭ bratija da me izbávatь wt toliko smrádь ʺand tell all your brothers to free me from so much stenchʺ

74: ʾi položíxa go u kovčegь čt͒nь and they put it into a true coffin
75: ʾi zanésoxa gò uʾ cr͂kvu st̃imь ʾáp͒tlomь and they brought it to a church of the Saint Apostles
76: ʾi mlógo i͒celenïe tvorit ʾi do dnéšni dénь and it causes (ʺcreatesʺ) a lot of healing until today
