38: ʾelisavéto učuvaĭ se ʺo Elisabeth, guard yourself!ʺ
39: ne pì vinò ʺdo not drink wineʺ
40: ʾi ne jaždь vasákakvo ne čïsto ʺand do not eat anything impureʺ
41: ʾi xočešь da priémnešь sña u utróbu tvojù ʺand you will receive a son in your bodyʺ
42: ʾi ʾi štéšь da ródišь ʺand you will give birth (to him)ʺ
43: ʾi sabljà ne štè da prïide: na glavu negóvu ʺand a sabre will not come onto his headʺ

48: ʾjáko svétlo licè ʾimaše na nego ʾi ʾjáko svetlíva preména ʺthere was a very shiny face and very shiny clothes on himʺ
49: ʾi ne možéxь dobrè da pogledámь u nego wt mlogo snanïe što béše ná négo ʺand I could not look well because of the much light, which was on himʺ
50: ta i ʾónь mi réče ʺand he said to me:ʺ
51: tí štešь da záčnešь: ʾi da ródišь sña ʺyou will conceive and give birth to a sonʺ
52: ʾáli ne pì vino ʺbut do not drink wineʺ
53: čuvaĭ se ʺguard yourselfʺ
54: ʾi nè ʾjáždь vasákakvo ne čít͒o ʺand do not eat anything impureʺ
55: ʾi šte da búde na:stóĭnikь bg̃u tovà detè dogdé mu doĭde sámrь´tь da úmre ʺand that child will be the ward for God until his own death will comeʺ
56: ʾi šte da kr͒tì nébo ʾi zémlju ʺand he will baptize the heavens and the earthʺ
57: ʾi réče zaxaría and Zechariah said:
58: gd͒i tébe se mólimь ʺo Lord, I pray youʺ
59: tójà čl͂vekь što sì pratílь námь da prïĭde da prosvéti ʾi násь ʺmay that man, whom you have sent, come to us to enlighten us tooʺ
60: ʾi priide ag͂elь gd͒nь and the angel of Lord came
61: ʾi réče and he said:
62: zaxaríe ʾjá rékoxь na ženù tvoju da sè čúva ʺo Zecharieh, I said to your wife to guard herselfʺ
63: koga ʾidè na lózie da ne edè grózdie ʾi da nè píè víno ʺmay she not eat grapes and drink wine, when she goes to the vineyardʺ
64: ʾi reče zaxaría ko ʾag͂elu gd͒nju and Zechariah said to the angel of Lord:
65: kakvó e tébe ʾimè ʺwhat is your name?ʺ
66: ta ʾako záčne ženà mója sína ʿi níe tébe da proslávime ʺso that if my wife conceives a son, that we praise you tooʺ
67: ʾi reče ʾemu ʾag͂elь gd͒nь and the angel of Lord said to him:
68: zaštó me pítašь čl̃veče za ʾime móe ʺo human, why do you ask me for my name?ʺ
69: ʾi tó e ʾjáko čúdno ʺit is very miraculousʺ (?)
70: ʾi ne šteʾjá da si kaže ag͂elь ʾimè to and the angel did not want to say his name

80: wt kudé bi mi táʾja rábota mene ʺhow come such a thing happens to me?ʺ
81: ta začéxь sña ʺso I conceive a sonʺ
82: ta doĭde máti gd͒a moégo pri méne ʺthen, mother of my Lord comes to meʺ
83: ʾi donése mi mlógo dáry ʺand she brings me many presents!ʺ
84: ʾi reče máti gd͒nja da ʾizbávi rod čl͒večeski and the mother of Lord said, that (he will?) save the human kind
85: po nékolíko dnì rodi elìsavéta ïʾwanà kr͒títelja after few days Elisabeth gave birth to John the Baptist
86: zašto. sámь xt͒ósь béše réklь da sè rodi prórókь ʾiʾwanь da sè ʾisplьnì zakonь ʾi véra as Christ Himself had said, that a prophet John will be born, for the law and the faith to be fulfilled
87: ʾi kogi se ródi ïʾwánь and when was John born?
88: u mc͒a ʾiunïa: va *kd* denь on the 24th day of month June
89: tóʾja dénь mlógo čudesa béše there were many miracles on that day

95: ʾi kato béše zastaréla ʾelísavéta *č* godinь ʾa zaxaría múžь ʾelísavetínь sto godínь béše zaxaría and when she became 90 years old, Zechariah, her husband, was 100 years (old)
96: ʾi kogí se ródi ïʾwanь togíva dígnu rúku and when John was born, he raised his hand

99: ʾi dava ni dobrò ʾi práznici da praznúvame ʾi da počítame bg̃a ʾi st̃ago pr͒róka ʾi prdtečà: kr͒títelja gd͒nja ïʾwanà and He gives us what is good and feasts, so that we (can) celebrate and respect God and the holy prophet and Forerunner, Baptizer of Lord, John
100: zaštó se gd͒ь pórodì ʾi st̃i ʾiʾwanь zaradì násь da nì ʾizbávatь wt nevérnici because (both) Lord and St. John were born to free us from unbelievers
101: ʾa nïja wt źlь nášь razumь but we, because of our bad thoughts
kogì doĭde nekoi cr͒ki prazníkь when a royal (church?) feast comes
ʾá nïe ne sme, kadьrь da gò popraznúvame ʾí da sì ʾwdьxneme we are not able to celebrate it and have a rest
102: nelo u práznikь sakame naĭ mlogo da si urábótime rather, we want to do most of our work during a feast day
103: ʾá gd͒ь se srь´di na násь but Lord is angry with us
104: ta ni xúџe ne dava berekétь na zemljá ta and thus He does not give abundance to our land
105: i kogi se ródi ïʾwanь ʾi mt̃i negóva ʾwpovivaše u péleni ʾotróče to and when John was born, his mother packed the child in diapers
106: ʾi pítaxu zaxaríju ʾoc͂a ʾiʾwanóva kakvò da mu narečútь ʾime st̃oe and they asked Zechariah, his father, what will be his holy name
107: ʾi ōtc͂ь negóvь réče and his father said
108: ʾi mt̃i negóva ʾelisávéta réče and his mother Elisabeth also said:
109: da mù narečete ʾime ïʾwanь ʺmay you call him Johnʺ
110: ʾi wtvrьzáxu se ʾusta ïʾwanu i jazíkь and the mouth and tongue of John became unbound
111: i dumaše and he spoke
112: ʾi bl̃godáreše bg̃a and he praised God
113: ʾi čudexu se svi ljudíe što béxu támo and all the people, who were there, were amazed
114: ʾi dumáxu and they said:
115: sláva tébe gd͒i ʺglory to you, o Lord!ʺ
116: kakvò xóče tovà detè da búde ʺwhat shall become of this child?ʺ
117: ʾi rukà: gd͒nja béše pri négo and the hand of the Lord was by him
118: ʾi zaxaría ʾoc̃ь negóvъ ʾisplь´ni se sasь rádosь and Zechariah, his father, was filled with joy
119: ʾi reče and he said:
120: bl̃goslovenь gd͒ь bg̃ь móĭ ʺmay Lord, my God, be praised!ʺ
121: ʾi ti moe ʾotróče štéšь da se naréčešь pr͒rókь víšnomu ʾocu ʺand you, my child, will be called as a prophet of the highest Fatherʺ
122: ʾi rastéše and he grew
123: ʾi krépeše se dx͂omь st̃imь .:. and became stronger by the Holy Spirit
124: Tógo. st̃ími: ml͂tvami xr͒tè bž͂e pomíluĭ have mercy by his holy prayers, o Christ the God
125: ʾi sp͒i dš̃i náši and save our souls
