| 5: | i reče mu | And told him |
| 6: | pomilui me cru da priidemъ pri tebe da ti produmamъ nekoja rečъ | ʺHave mercy with me, oh king, as I come to you to tell you a wordʺ |
| 7: | togiva reče crъ | Then the king said: |
| 8: | kaži mi o ženo zašto tolko plačeš | ʺTell me, oh woman, why you cry so muchʺ |
| 9: | i marta reče | And Marta said: |
| 10: | gopodine drъžavni i čestiti na mnoga leta živъ da budešъ | ʺo honorable lord of the land, may you live for many yearsʺ |
| 11: | duma imamъ da ti dumamъ i va istinu da ti kažemъ čudna rabota | ʺI have a word to tell you, truly a miraculous thingʺ |
| 12: | no da te nastavi bgъ na pravda i na istinu | ʺBut may God set you up to the truthʺ |
| 13: | i reče ei crъ | And the king told her: |
| 14: | ot koja si zemlja došla ti tuka | ʺWhich country have you come here?ʺ |
| 15: | i ot koi si ljudie | ʺand from which people?ʺ |
| 16: | i marta reče | and Martha said: |
| 17: | azъ esmъ ot zemlju madiamsku | ʺI am from the land of Madiamʺ |
| 18: | no sъmъ došla da ti dumamъ za dobro | ʺBut I came to tell you for something goodʺ |
| 19: | crъ reče | The king said: |
| 20: | dumai kolko štešъ | ʺSpeak as much as you wantʺ |
| 21: | togiva marta reče | Then Martha said: |
| 22: | gopodine javi se edinъ mužъ jakъ i silenъ na zemlju deto nikoi ne beše videlъ takъvja člvekъ | ʺLord, a mighty and strong man appeared in a land where nobody has ever seen such a personʺ |
| 23: | i nikoi ne može iskaza negovi te dumi | ʺAnd nobody could utter his wordsʺ |

| 38: | gdine bratъ moi beše umrelъ | ʺLord, my brother was deadʺ |
| 39: | i va grobъ beše položenъ | ʺand he was burried in a tombʺ |
| 40: | i leža *d* dni mrtъvъ | ʺand he laid there for four days deadʺ |
| 41: | a on go oživi | ʺand he revived himʺ |
| 42: | i sъga xodi živъ po zemi | ʺand now he walks lively in the landʺ |
| 43: | i reče crъ | and the king said: |
| 44: | da pušti nekoja sluga va ierusalimъ da dovedutъ nekogo ot tija ljudie što gi e iscelilъ i oživilъ onja člvekъ deto go marta faleše | ʺMay a servant be sent to Jerusalem to find anybody of that people that this person healed and revived and whom Martha praisedʺ |
| 45: | i va istinu crъ pušti sluga svoego kaѱofa da dovede nekogo | and in truth, the king send his servant Kapsof (?) to bring somebody |
| 46: | i dovedoxa togova člveka deto beše slepъ i progledalъ i marturisa kakvo e istina bilo takvava čudesa | And they brought that man which was blind and saw and he testified that these wonders were true |
| 47: | i pisaxu emerъ | and they wrote a decree |
| 48: | i va emerъ pisaxu martu i logina i lazara | And in decree, they wrote about Martha, Longinus, and Lazarus |
| 49: | pa togiva gi pušti crъ avgustъ u rimъ | And then the king Augustus send them to Rome |
| 50: | i kogi otidoxa u rimъ i vlezoxu u polati crevi | and when they came to Rome they entered the royal palace |
| 51: | i potrese se sva polata creva | and the palace of the king shook |
| 52: | i reče crъ | and the king said: |
| 53: | toja belegъ što se čini u toja denъ i časъ golemoe čudo | ʺthis thing is a great wonder, what happened on this day and momentʺ |
| 54: | i uplaši se crъ | and the king got scared |
| 55: | i rekoxu boljare | and the boyars said |
| 56: | gdine da ne bude legoma zaradi tija ljudie deto doidoxa ot ierusalimъ da dumatъ za xrta raspetago | ʺLord, (what if it) is because of the people that came from Jerusalem to talk about Christ, the crucifiedʺ |
| 57: | ta se čini taja čudesa | and so these wonders appeared |
| 58: | togiva reče carъ | then the king said: |
| 59: | izleznete svi nadvorъ izъ polati moi | ʺAll of you, go out of my palaceʺ |
| 60: | izlezoxa sъvъ narodъ što bexu se sabrali u crevi dvorove | All the people who had gathered in the yards of the king left |
| 61: | i pakъ reče crъ | And the king said again: |
| 62: | vlazete edinъ po edinъ | ʺCome in one by one ʺ |
| 63: | ta da vidimъ zaradi kogo se trusi dom moi | so that I see because of whom my house has been shaking |
| 64: | i svi vlezoxa | and they all entered |
| 65: | i kogi šteše da vleze logi a to se potrusi polata ošte po strašno | and when Longinus wanted to enter, the palace shook even stronger |
| 66: | i svi ljudie uplašixu se | and all the people got scared |
| 67: | i ot straxъ ne možexu da gledatъ u logina | and out of fear, they could not look at Longinus |
| 68: | i reče crъ loginu | and the king said to Longinus: |
| 69: | člveče ti kakъv si | ʺo man, what are you?ʺ |
| 70: | ta zaradi tebe šteme da pogineme | ʺfor we are going to perish because of youʺ |
| 71: | a loginъ reče | And Longinus said: |
| 72: | o gdine znai če zaradi mene ne e taja rabota | ʺO lord, know that this work is not because of meʺ |
| 73: | no e zaradi xrta raspetago bga moego što go ja probodoxъ na krte va rebra ta | ʺBut it is because of Christ, the saviour, my God, whom I pierced his ribs on the crossʺ |
| 74: | ta isteče krъvъ i voda | ʺand blood and water came outʺ |
| 75: | i slnce to pomrъknu | ʺand the sun darkenedʺ |
| 76: | i kamenie raspada se | ʺand stones fell apartʺ |
| 77: | i crkovna zavesa razdra se | ʺand the temple curtain toreʺ |
| 78: | i źvezdi te ot nebo to popadaxu | ʺand the stars fell from the skyʺ |
| 79: | i tuka e toja člvek deto go xrtosъ oživi | ʺand there is this man, who had been dead, whom Christ revivedʺ |
| 80: | mrъtvъ beše lazarъ | ʺLazarus was deadʺ |
| 81: | pa ožive | ʺand then he became aliveʺ |
| 82: | i ošte mlogo ljudie oživexa ot mrъtvixъ | ʺand even more people were revived from the deadʺ |
| 83: | togiva reče crъ | Then the king said: |
| 84: | vъ istinu veruvame | ʺin truth, we believe (it)ʺ |
| 85: | no zašto moi domъ zaradi tebe se trusi | ʺbut why did my home tremble because of youʺ |
| 86: | i nie svi se boime ot toja strašni trusъ | ʺand we all got afraid of this awful earthquakeʺ |
| 87: | i reče loginъ | and Longinus said: |
| 88: | legoma zatova e zašto e riza ta negova na mene | ʺthat is, because his shirt is on meʺ |
| 89: | i reče mu crъ | and the king told him: |
| 90: | izlezъ nadvorъ | ʺget out ʺ |
| 91: | i sobleči taja riza ot sebe | ʺand take off that shirtʺ |
| 92: | i koga vleznu loginъ posle u polati crvi togiva veče ne ma ni trus ni strax | and when Longinus went out, there were no quakes nor fright in the palace of the king |
| 93: | i u tova vreme imaše crъ živinica na nosъ zla | And in that time, the king had scrofula on his nose |
| 94: | i mlogo mu pakosъ čineše | and it hurt him a lot |
| 95: | i ne možexu xekimџie da go iscelatъ | and the doctors could not heal him |
| 96: | i reče crъ | and the king said: |
| 97: | da beše toja člvekъ sega tuka ta bi me iscelilъ ot taja bolestъ | ʺif this man was here now, he would have healed meʺ |
| 98: | i marta reče | and Martha said: |
| 99: | gdine toja člvekъ i na nebo to da e | ʺLord, even when this man is in the heavenʺ |
| 100: | ti pomeni negovo ime | ʺYou, mention his nameʺ |
| 101: | onъ šte tebe pakъ isceli | ʺHe will heal you anywayʺ |
| 102: | i reče crъ | and the king said: |
| 103: | marto kakvo da rečemъ | ʺo Martha, what should I say?ʺ |
| 104: | na kakvo ime da go povikamъ | ʺBy which name should I call him?ʺ |
| 105: | i marta reče | and Martha said: |
| 106: | cru prekrti taja bolesъ tri puti | ʺo king, make the cross on your illness three timesʺ |
| 107: | i reči | ʺand say:ʺ |
| 108: | .:. vo ime .:. oca .:. i sna .:. i stago .:. dxa | ʺin the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spiritʺ |
| 109: | i učini crъ takoi kakvo mu reče marta | and the king did as Martha told him |
| 110: | i togiva ispade onaja živinica pred cra na trъpeza | and then that scrofula fell off the king and on the table |
| 111: | i kogi vide tova crъ | and as the king saw it |
| i razume zašto toja člvekъ sъvъ stъ drъži | he understood that this man holds the whole world (in his power) | |
| i štoto e napravilъ nbo i zemlju | (as he) created the heavens and the earth | |
| 112: | i zaraduva se srdce to negovo | and his heart rejoiced |
| 113: | i sasъ treperanie pripade pri lazara i pri logina | and trembling he fell towards Lazarus and Longinus |
| 114: | i dumaše imъ crъ | and the king told them: |
| 115: | krtete me vo ime xrtovo | ʺBaptize me in the name of Christ!ʺ |
| 116: | i oni go krtixa | and they baptized him |
| 117: | i sъbra si sva ta voiska negova | and he took his entire army |
| 118: | i otide na erusalimъ | and went against Jerusalem |
| 119: | i sъbra svi te evreiski knižnici i vldci i drugi voevodi i boljare | and he gathered all the Hebrew law scholars, bishops, dukes, and boyars |
| 120: | i povele da gi posečutъ | and ordered to behead them |
| 121: | i sekoxa gi dogde padnu mrakъ ot nebo to na nixъ | and they beheaded them so that darkness fell on them out of Heaven |
| 122: | i sekoxa imъ ženi te i deca ta imъ | and they beheaded their wives and children |
| 123: | i kogi padnu tma ot nebo to tъmna kato magla i ništo se živo ne vidi po toja stъ togiva reče crъ da prestanutъ otsčenie | and when this darkness fell from Heaven like fog and nobody alive is seen on this world, the king said to stop the retaliation |
| 124: | i prestanu sečъ | and the massacre ended |
| 125: | i dignu se tma ta i magla ta ot isečeni te ljudie | and the darkness and the fog raised from the beheaded people |
| 126: | i prebroi gi crъ | and the king counted them |
| 127: | i naide *vi* xiljadi ljudie isečeni | and he found 12000 beheaded people |
| 128: | a deto bexa utekli živi a crъ nixъ oprosti | but those that had run away were alive and the king forgave them |
| 129: | i razdeli gi na svaki gradъ po dvoica | and separated them by two per every city |
| 130: | a pilata fanaxu i okovaxa go u sinџirъ | and they caught (Pontius) Pilate and put him in chains |
| 131: | i togiva moleše se pilatъ | And then Pilate prayed |
| 132: | i dumaše | and he said: |
| 133: | gdine ne dei da posečešъ mene skoro | ʺLord, do not quickly behead meʺ |
| 134: | no dai mi mučenie ljuto dano budemъ i ja pričetenъ va stado izbranoe | ʺbut torture me fiercely as I am too added to the herd of the chosenʺ |
| 135: | togiva avъgustъ crъ muči pilata źle | Then Augustus fiercely tortured Pilate |
| 136: | a pilatъ gledaše gore na nbsa | and Pilate looked up to the sky |
| 137: | i moleše se bgu | and he prayed to God |
| 138: | i dumaše | and he said: |
| 139: | pomilui me bže | ʺo God, have mercy on meʺ |
| 140: | i priimi me va crtvo tvoe | ʺAnd receive me in your kingdomʺ |
| 141: | i ču se glasъ pilatovъ na nbsa | and Pilateʹs voice was heard in Heaven |
| 142: | i dumaše gdъ | and the Lord said: |
| 143: | radui se vozljubleni moi | ʺRejoice my belovedʺ |
| 144: | predъ prestolъ oca moego šte da stoi tvoja ta glava pilate do ftoro prišestvie | ʺIn front of my Fatherʹs throne, your head will stand, Pilate, until the Second Comingʺ |
| 145: | i otseče mu glava ta sluga creva | and a servant of the king chopped off his head |
| 146: | i uze ja aggelъ gdnъ | and an angel of God took it |
| 147: | i zanese ja na nbsa | and carried it to Heaven |
| 148: | i togiva kaiafъ pobegnu va pustinju | and then Caiaphas fled into the desert |
| 149: | i skri se jako na skrito mesto | and he hid himself in a hidden place |
| 150: | i kogi bi *i* denъ po samrъtъ pilatova izleze crъ avgustъ na llovъ | And 20 days after Pilateʹs death, king Augustus left for a hunt |
| 151: | i ispudi rogače sasъ xrъti te svoi | and he chased deers with his greyhounds |
| 152: | i tamo imaše peštera | and there was a cave |
| 153: | i stanu rogačъ predъ peštera ta deto se beše skrilъ kaijafъ | and a deer was in front of the cave where Caiaphas had hidden himself |
| 154: | i crъ pušti strelu na rogača | and the king shot an arrow on the deer |
| 155: | i strela ta kato leti ta zaminu rugača | and the arrow, as it flew, it missed the deer |
| 156: | ta udari kaiafa u srdce to | and it hit Caiaphas in the heart |
| 157: | i otide momъkъ crevъ da zeme strela ta | and a boy of the king went to get the arrow |
| 158: | i naide kaiafa ustrelenъ leži i stenja | and he found Caiaphas being shot and moaning |
| 159: | a crъ utide | and the king went |
| 160: | i vide | and saw (him) |
| 161: | i počudi se kakva bi taja rabota | and he wondered what it might be |
| 162: | ja strelnaxъ na rogača | ʺI shot at a deerʺ |
| 163: | a ja ustrelixъ kaiafu | ʺand I hit Caiaphas!ʺ |
| 164: | i crъ šteše nešto da popita kaiafu | and the king wanted to ask Caiaphas something |
| 165: | dogde crъ da otide pri nego a onъ izъdъxna | but before (the king) came to (Caiaphas), he died |
| 166: | i reče crъ | and the king said: |
| 167: | slava tebe xrte bže našъ | ʺGlory to you, o Christ, our Godʺ |
| 168: | zašto e velika i strašna tvoja ta rabota | ʺbecause your work is great and frightfulʺ |
| 169: | i koito ne e videlъ taja čudesa a onъ po dobre da veruva va edinago sina bžia | and who has not seen these wonders, he might better believe in the one divine son |
