| 29: | ʾi xódeše wt xížu do xížu ta próseše xlébь ta mu prínóseše | and she went from hut to hut to beg for bread and bring it to him |

| 73: | čl̃veče bž̃ïi kóĭ xoče tébe da uzme črь´vja | ʺOh you, man of God, who would want to take worms from youʺ | 
| da tì dadè žíto ʾi vósokь ʾi ѳimjánь; | ʺto give you grain and wax and incense?ʺ | |

| 90: | ʾá wnь skóro trьčà po nejá da ju gi dadè | and he soon ran after her to give them back to her | 
| 91: | ʾi ne možè da jù naĭde | and he could not find her |

| 94: | ʾi wtslužíxu si st̃ago níkoláju | and they served Saint Nicholas | 
| 95: | i osta ʾimь ʾédnà kriváčka váreno žíto | and they were left with a handful of cooked wheat |

| 97: | suprúžnicè mojà uzmi tovà žíto | ʺO my wife, take this wheatʺ |

| 99: | ʾi dobré go skrì da nì búde gotóvo za na gódinь | ʺand hide it well so that it is ready for us in a yearʺ | 
| 100: | če né ma ʾi togíva za što da sì kúpimo | ʺbecause then there will be nothing to buy for, tooʺ | 
| 101: | ʾi wnà skrì žíto to | And she hid the wheat | 
| 102: | kogí bi do gódinu dóĭde dénь pakì da sì služutь st̃ágo nikoláju | When a year passed, the day for the service to St. Nicholas came again. | 
| 103: | uze žená ta iʾwvina krь´pa ta | The wife of Job took the cloth |

| 113: | ʾi dóbi poveče srébro ʾi zláto | and he got more silver and gold | 
| 114: | ʾi dóbi drugi sínove ʾi dь´šteri | and he got other sons and daughters | 
| 115: | razumex͛te li xrístijăne | Did you understand, Christians? |
